Enjoying Things
Posted 2 years agoThings are up - things are great. :)
I hope the same for other people.
When one door closes, another opens. I'm grateful for all of my friends and family!
VRChat has been really amazing fun, and I've been mastering new skills and going to conventions.
We'll see where the future takes me.
I'm excited!
Let's do this!

Good Things
Posted 3 years agoHello, everyone!
I've realized something over the last year.
As I've continued to invest myself in my job and my social life, I invested time in my writing when I was upset or depressed.
I'm not so depressed as I used to be, which is great and all...but I haven't devoted as much time to my writing as I'd like...which could signal that my energies are being invested elsewhere.
I'm still writing, but it's slow-going. I always treated it as a hobby rather than an obligation, which is why I always refused to take commissions, even when offered.
We'll see where it goes, but as of now, I'm happy, I'm healthy, I'm productive, I'm moving up in the world, and I'm doing my best to live my best life.
But I've never forgotten where I came from, and what it took to get where I am now.
Enjoy yourselves! Hopefully I'll have something soon enough! <3

What's Next?
Posted 3 years agoHello, ya'll!
I'm excited to see what this year can bring, although we're not exactly off on the right foot.
Further Confusion's been canceled, and so have some furbowls I was thinking of going to...and my team leader who I love working with is leaving...
Jeez...
Meanwhile, I'm doing okay, doing what I can to work on projects, mods, and gaming, while exercising and sharpening my skills. I hope everyone is okay. :)
Welcome to 2022!

We Got Robbed! (Artwork Stolen, Not The House. XD)
Posted 4 years agoHey, yall!
Some dude on Pixiv decided to lift a commission I pursued with Tomson, who helped create the Relena Peacecraft "Relena's Plunge" comic series.
This individual took the original work, recolored it, and reuploaded it to his own account without our permission.
We've reported him and the artwork for theft otherwise.
Original Series by Tomson: https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/65372895
Stolen Work: https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/90654791
I heard there was a rash of art theft going around...
== Update: June 21, 2021 ==
Looks like the art and the account are now banned! Thanks, everyone!

Good To Go!
Posted 4 years agoHello, everyone!
Life has been on the up-and-up, all things considered! I'm going out more, I feel like I'm becoming more learned, refined, and sociable, I have a much better job with a team that likes me and what I do, and...my prospects for life are alot better than they were five years ago!
I never forget where I came from though, and I never forget that others are struggling.
Still, some things bother me and even eat at me, and I try to guide myself down the right path everyday and to keep a smile on my face, even in the toughest of times. I hope this positivity can help others. Sometimes, it gets tough...sometimes I cry...sometimes I feel hopeless...
I'm always eager to chat with people, even for just a quick hello! Join me for a game, or VRChat, or here on Furaffinity!
Awoo!
I hope everyone is okay! I appreciate all of you!

Better News: Cleared!
Posted 4 years agoBetter News:
I've been cleared!
Only took them almost 2 years...
Then again...
So, I got an interim clearance back in July 2019. But, the base couldn't get me inside the perimeter till I got upgraded to the full secret clearance. Then COVID-19 happened and killed the project I was due to be recruited on. So I was in this limbo state of needing a company to sponsor finishing the investigation.
Along came a job offer in February 2021...and they picked up the ball to finish the job.
I start my new job on the 12th!

Don't know what kind of detail I can go into - suffice to say, I think I finally got my big break!

Good and Bad
Posted 4 years agoBad News:
I lost my job, was down for 5 weeks, landed a contract job, then lost that one 2 weeks into the project because they hired too many agents. I'm out of a job again.
Good News:
I got a job offer from a military contractor, and now I'm waiting on the government to reactivate my security clearance - it's been weeks...and weeks...and weeks...and I haven't heard anything, but the job is still mine.
Also, I just got done attending Furnal Equinox, and the convention was absolutely amazing! We're doing a DJ party tonight and it's going to be awesome! Also, I went out to dinner with some local furs - kept it small, just the 3 of us in a diner.
Doing my best to stay positive through it all...
I just hope I'm living life the way I'm supposed to, doing everything that I can do to, well...live right and effectively and happily in these odd times...

Things Are Okay
Posted 5 years agoSo, COVID-19 caused the Army to furlough all the contractors, so the military job fell through. At least, I still have my interim clearance. I've updated my resume just in case. I'm still working.
Nevertheless, literally all my cons got canceled this year - every single one of them. I'm...starting to think this isolation is getting to me...I'm getting lonely and I'd love to meet more people were it not for everything going on.
Still, I have Telegram, Discord, Steam, and plenty of videogames! Poke me! Let's play something!

I'm Good! :D
Posted 5 years agoHey, ya'll! Let's get a journal going, ja? :D
It's been too long. Fear naught, for I have been here the whole time. Although I've neglected to post all the art I've gotten over the last year. Not sure why I haven't done it, but I've gotten stuff done ever since, and I feel like things are getting better.
So before FurryDelphia, I lost my IT job at the hospital, then found another one for a mortgage company. Since FurryDelphia, I got a new job, in fact, my first full-time IT job versus all the contract work I've done so far! I work at a network operations center, finally making use of my Cisco certifications, and I'm due for a job on the local military base once all the checks get cleared. COVID-19 is delaying everything, but that's okay. They got us working from home. Although I recognize that many are struggling.
I've been getting more and more involved in my local furry groups. I'm definitely glad I met them. We go out to local bowling events, or rather, we used to before COVID-19 got us all sequestered. So be it - I'd rather be safe than sick, ya know! AnimeNext 2020 in Atlantic City was canceled, and so was my alma mater's second annual anime convention unfortunately. Greater Philadelphia Comic Con got pushed back, and so did GeekFest. We'll see what happens for the East Coast Gaming Expo and FurryDelphia 2020.
Meanwhile, I've gotten involved in a local anime club and I've made some great friends! I also finally cleaned my room out - boxed up or recycled all the stuff I didn't need. Now it doesn't look like a warehouse storage room anymore!
Lastly, all my college loans are FINALLY paid off! So, I can focus on saving more for my future, and even buying a partial fursuit! Awoo!

FurryDelphia 2019 Was A Blast!
Posted 6 years agoSo I went to my first furry convention - FurryDelphia 2019! And it was AWESOME!
I learned alot about myself, and...I've embraced a new sense of me...the sense of Chevron my fursona, and myself as the human, melded into one, taking the better traits of both and creating a wolf new person, both human and fursona, one in the same, with a greater zest for life, more sociability, energy, discipline, perseverance.
No longer will I regret the past, the mistakes I've made, the people I've lost, the things I did wrong, and the things I could have done.
There is only NOW and my future to be concerned about, and I will put one foot in front of the other, embrace this fandom, and become a better sense of "me" going forward!
Also...I have a tail! XD
However, the convention was marked by the passing of a board member, Arlo, who died just before the convention could begin. As an EMT, Arlo was honored with a Final Call ceremony which I had the privilege of recording.

I am Chevron, and he is me. I am your wolf, and your man!
A DJ once announced "Did you learn the name of someone you don't know?" at a party, so I'm taking that advice to heart. :D

Lost My Job...Maybe A New One is Coming...
Posted 6 years agoWell...lost my job...something 'weird' I swear was going on behind my back at where I used to work...
Although, I've had some great interviews since and I'm slated to have 4 more over the next two weeks. Got approved for unemployment assistance...still feels like a real kick in the nuts.
I should be optimistic, but...it's been a challenge right now...
I haven't even logged onto EVE Online to actually undock. But I've been working on some training maps for Armed Assault III and this unit I'm a part of, and I'm going out to DnD night tonight, so...I'm trying to keep active.
How are ya'll doing?

I'm Doing Alright!
Posted 6 years agoSo, a little update for me this April 2019.
I'm doing alright! I'm on top of my finances for the most part. I like my job, and I hope to move on up in my career. I'm grateful for all my friends, and I've gone on a date or two with a few girls. :P
I'm not quite where I want to be, but...I think I'm on the right track!
Hit me up if you want to play some games or discuss some ideas (and please keep any NSFW ideas private to a PM XD).

Life August 2018
Posted 7 years agoHello, fur-people!
So things have gotten better as time has gone on. I've et some incredible people and worked together to create some amazing projects! I'm grateful for all my friends. :)
I've also managed to earn my Cisco Certified Network Associate certification! AND I got to meet a nice girl I met on OkCupid this weekend!
Still, I'm compelled to share some details here, in hopes of perhaps earning the respect and admiration of a lovely lady who is looking for her partner.
I'm a single 33-year-old PC Technician for a major hospital. I like to write, play videogames, exercise, and have fun with people. Sometimes I do volleyball, boardgames, Dungeons and Dragons, or hanging out at Happy Hours. I live in New Jersey in the United States. I'm a college graduate, and I once organized and led my university's paintball team. I'm moving up in my IT career, and I'm hoping to share my success with a nice lady.
If you're up for chatting (and are a nice lady), send me a note! :)
Note: Not a girl? That's okay! We can still be friends! :D

Things Looking Up!
Posted 7 years agoHello, FurAffinity/furballs/furnerds! XD
So, things have changed radically in the last 8 months! I earned my COMPTIA A+ computer certification, and I no longer work electronics retail!
To partially quote Doctor Rockso...I DO I-T!
Yup! I made it into the IT industry! Next Monday, I'll be assigned to a hospital compound 30 minutes from my house! I'm studying for my next CISCO exam and I'll take that (and hopefully pass) on the 3rd of March. Then, it's on to the level 2 version.
I have real hours (0830-1700), a real schedule (weekends off) my hourly now is more than my overtime at my retail job, and I think I'll finally be able to have a social life! I'm exercising everyday, and I feel good about myself and my future! I appreciate all of my friends who remained close to me during my transition!
Also, I've decided...I've had an epiphany of sorts...I realized that I was making myself miserable by dwelling on the past. I no longer will live in regret. The past is the past, and I have moved on. I might still be reminded every now and again, but I refuse to cry over anything I have done or was done to me. I am strong, and I will carry myself forward.
Meanwhile, I want to thank all my readers - more work is coming - and I want to thank
ByondRAGE,
speeds,
ReactorGuardian for producing incredible works from all my crazy ideas! I also want to thank
hugoagogo for pointing out that FurAffinity and web browsers may be compatible with .txt files, but they hate them all the same! I'll be releasing future stories as Adobe PDF files! Download the client for free from here! https://get.adobe.com/reader/
*** Update: April 2018 ***
I passed my CISCO CCENT test! Crushed the exam actually! So, now, I've got my second IT certification under my belt! :D
*** Update July 2018 ***
I passed my CISCO CCNA exam! Now I am an officially-certified CISCO Certified Network Associate, which means better IT jobs!

It's My Birthday Today :P
Posted 8 years agoSo, it's May 4th. It's, you know, Star Wars...and it's my birthday today, too. :P
I used to be really really big into X-Wing CD, the old flight simulator. And Rogue Squadron on the Nintendo 64. I was pretty damn good. :P
Although it's been a lonely day, really. Parents were out of state-I had class today after pulling an 11.5-hour shift that resulted in a 14-hour commitment to the company. I hate my job...
Still, I realized that I was making myself miserable these past 3 years by dwelling on the past. I want to curb this attitude.
I've also realized that I've been clinging to the memories of my ex-girlfriend...and it's time to let her go.
I might not have enough time to actually go out and have a social life...but that's okay...
I'm gonna be okay...I'm going to focus on my studies and projects and see what I can do. :P

Thank You Everyone! I Love You!
Posted 8 years agoSo I stumbled upon
o-kemono's "Life's A Chibi" works (which are awesome and you should totally watch this person because the work is great!), and they gave me alot of insight into my own life, my career, and my works that I've posted here.
I think this piece especially rings true (especially since its discussion fielded some controversy regarding the effort to create regarding drawers versus writers: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19196497/ )
I don't know if I've taken the time to do it, but I want to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to read through my writing, and to network with me about new ideas and new creative directions! It's really been a great journey and it's only going to continue!
I especially feel flattered that
ralleign even reached out to
ReactorGuardian to have him draw a commission based on a story I wrote! That to me is extremely flattering and I feel honored, especially the type of reaction that story generated, considering the new style I pursued and the amount of time it took me to complete it. Definitely surprises to be had!
The comments I have received from readers has been phenomenally motivating. :D
And the fact that
ByondRAGE and
ReactorGuardian gave my main fursona life speaks volumes!

Busy Busy *collapses*
Posted 8 years agoHello, furries and crazies alike!
It's been a really really busy...how the hell long have I been doing this sort of thing?
I'm happy to have a job, and the capacity to reach higher, and I think it'd do some good to remind people of everything that they're able to achieve when they reach for the top and avoid complacency.
I'm also happy to have the friends that I do, here and elsewhere. I've learned alot and I've actually learned to be alot more tolerant of views and interests that I otherwise might have pushed away.
I'm glad to be here, and I hope to make my mark here. :)
I can't wait to produce more stories! Eager for the future, no matter what happens! :D
It's been a really really busy...how the hell long have I been doing this sort of thing?
I'm happy to have a job, and the capacity to reach higher, and I think it'd do some good to remind people of everything that they're able to achieve when they reach for the top and avoid complacency.

Election and What Now
Posted 9 years agoWell, then...
So Trump got elected...great...
That said, I thought I might try to make some sense of what's happened. I have a degree in Political Science, I do research into international politics and military matters, and I'd like to think I can grasp what's happening as well as the next guy.
To be clear, this in no way endorses Trump. I didn't vote for the man, but I did vote.
A number of people are crowing "how the hell did this happen?" It happened because...
1. Trump seems to be the anti-candidate candidate. He says things atypical of what a candidate should say. He does things that would otherwise give other candidates pause. He pisses people off. And this is what made him attractive. People didn't care what he was saying, or even if what he was saying had legitimacy. They fell in love with him simply because he said it. This same phenomenon followed the birth of the Tea Party.
2. Trump is to the Republicans of 2016 what Obama was to the Democrats of 2008: a fresh face from (the most part) outside the political known realm. People felt someone unexposed to politics might be able to fix politics. In truth, it's really the opposite.
3. Trump, like his opponents, took advantage of the sense of "us versus them," demonizing and delegitimizing the opposing party. It was as if anyone who didn't vote for Trump was somehow less American than anyone voting at all. This divide started happening all the way back in 2000 with Bush versus Gore, when we started feeling the sense that the opposing party was a threat to the country. Media pundits, Olbermann, Beck, and politicians milked this to death, and today we have this 'civil war' of sorts, where we identify each other by party before identifying each other as fellow citizens.
We need to realize that every voting American is an American first. We need to start acting like Americans putting loyalty to country BEFORE loyalty to party. Now, Trump might not be your President, and Hillary might not be your candidate, but in the end, you are an American. You have a duty to support your country in things you agree with, and speak up when you don't. Uniformed men and women and even civilians fought to protect this right and died for it. Invoke it, use it, be a good citizen, and remember that at the end of the day, we're all Americans here.
So respect it. Respect each other. Work together to make this country great (can't believe I'm actually finding myself saying that), and work together to support your fellow citizen.

Interview With Misty
Posted 9 years agoOkay, kids!
If you could ask Misty (from Pokemon) questions, and no question was off-limits, what might you ask her?
I'm working on some stuff associated with these scandalous pictures! :D
