Been pretty sick for about a month now. As a result I wasn't drawing as much. Moreover, my muses when I had energy to draw were sort of blocked. So I tried a few things, like new directions, or ideas, and even went camping to recharge. In the end, the camping did the most good, but it's nice to have some art flow again and start posting.

Been very focused on a very large writing project that I hit a milestone with finally. So stepped back and will be returning to some art postings. Expect a flood of mostly the shadow style art.

I found it relaxing to crank out one of those images in bed before going to sleep most nights so built up a stockpile I had not posted yet. That will change soon.

So it may be obvious to some that I've taken a hiatus from the postings. I'm still drawing and creating, but am working with other creative fields more at the moment like my writing. I have unfortunately fallen out of habit with the posting of the art I have done and I should really get back into that.

I'll be on a trip later this month and then will have a better window to start posting the work I have been doing in the meantime.

Do not expect the writing projects anytime soon. They are massive projects which will take some time to get where I want them.

And I did it.

I completed a year long goal for myself.

I have been drawing one image a day for the year. I have been posting those images, (Nearly daily, life happens) As such, I have posted in 2024 a total of 411 images to this account. I've even started new galleries on other sites as both backups and exposure. The year of 2024 was a leap year so it had 366 days. That puts me at 45 images over my goal.

I ran into the usual hurdles:

Life and work complications.
mechanical or computer problems.
Storms and life altering events.
Exhaustion, burnout, and art block

but I got through.

I did it.

Now, time to do something else.

I will continue the path or daily progress, but this time will turning my attention to new projects.

Art will slide back a bit, so there may be fewer postings. Allowing me to focus on new projects, but art will continue, just more likely with more specific themes.
Such as:
The Krampus and Rougarou images I posted are part of a planned series of semi-liminal + Folklore/mythology images I wanted to do.
I still need to finish the personal demons series. I have three left to draw and all to color.


As for the new projects?

Primarily, I will be returning to writing. I was always a writer/artist combo. I want to get back into that.
I will also be moving into more content creation via videos as well. I have a youtube channel, but was never very solid on content due to many, MANY factors. I plan to change that. https://www.youtube.com/@wielder13
However, I will likely be partnering with other creatives to do this and most likely will have a new channel dedicated to the results.

So expect new things from me in 2025.

Well, it finally happened. I hit an art block. It's been getting harder and harder to draw the same style and suddenly I just can't. So, time to use a time honored tradition. Shifting gears into a dramatically different style. Expect to see some art that is a bit more abstract and stylized, but probably still with some furry flair.

So as of this day, November 23, I have posted 369 images this year. One daily as a minimum. And with this year being a leap year, I have met one goal of having at least 366 images for the year to match days.

Now what?

Well 38 days remain, so I intend to do the remaining 38 images.

After the new year? Where are my goals then?

Well first I may open up commissions so I can start saving some money for a new PC and get into streaming as well as just some tech upgrading. I'm working on a Price sheet now.

I am also trying to find a way to publish some of my Black and White art as coloring books for the furry community. But that is definitely easier said than done. Any advice or help wold be appreciated.

As of this, it is Halloween.

So starting tomorrow, the first of November, I'll be altering focus. First, I'll be finishing up all my October images, both sketch and inked.

I'll also use the month to focus on coloring and get a lot of backlog caught up, allowing me to hit December with a slightly different approach.

I'm hoping to ambitiously tackle a 12 days project. Which I dread, as that means multiple images with 5 plus characters.... anyway, I want to end the year with a bang and that'd do it. which means the holiday themed images may be limited to just those images, but I hope that will still be fine.

I still have 3 personal demons to work on and will work on those as time permits.

As for concerns about FA's Future:

I have two other galleries as backup at the moment, so it's not a huge concern for me. I do not want to see Fa go, or become less friendly to the community, since the impact this site has had on the community is immeasurable. But as I have learned through time, one should never suffer abuse for the sake of tradition. At this point, even the little ABDL art I've done has not gotten anyone's negative attention. And my general style and subject matter is far from edgy. So who knows. I am looking into maybe creating a fourth catalogue on another site, but at this point, I may need advice from readers:

Anyone have any suggestions of reliable galleries? I'm not even sure which ones are out there anymore.

As October reaches an end, I'm continuing with spooky themed artwork. But I'll likely carry over a bit into November, as I have a lot of sketches to finish.

The Personal Demons project has three left: Indifference, Isolation, and Fatigue.

Also as of today, Oct 23, day 297 of the year, I've posted 331 images. 69 days left in the year and then I'll have posted a minimum of one a day, minus technical hiccups and having to play make up posts. my daily art continues and I'm very close to the finish line now.

Now that I am back from Alamo City Furry Invasion, I have a chance to catch up some missed posts from the past few days. Still drawing daily, still keeping pace.

And that means One other things has to be considered after the first of the year.

My challenge to draw one image a day has been to pace which means as of the date of this journal I have posted in excess of 290 images this year. And with 76 days left in the year, I'll have made a huge milestone if I keep this pace.

But now I have to ask myself what will happen at the first of the year? Do I keep trying to maintain this pace?

Or do I slow down on the art and focus on writing again. Writing would naturally take much longer to produce work. And I have an ambitious project in mind.

So I need to think on it.

In the mean time, enjoy October/spooky themed images this month. Some gargoyles and ifrits, and assorted demon type creatures, including a series I am doing of my personal demons in submission.

3 of 9 planned have just been posted. I still need to get the remaining six into sketch phase.

I just got things straightened out today

So, I was going to Orlando in a few days. the plan to arrive happened to be the same day the hurricane is slated to arrive... so, cancelled trip. Now maybe I'll go to Alamo city furry Invasion instead. But man, am I feeling off as a result. I have a lot of friends out there and I hope they will be ok.

So, the past few days have been a little off due to work, stress, work-stress, and unexpected sinus issues. As it is, I'm a few days behind on postings. Art is there, just haven't been able to upload. And in a few days, I'll be traveling with the family for a week. End result is I won't be posting then either.


So, I'll be posting sporadically this month, but will continue to endeavor to draw one image a day. And I'll make sure to post a catch up series when I can.

So, first off, I am couple days behind on posting. Last few days have been unexpectedly stressful and I'm not feeling well as a result, but I'll make up the posts as soon as I can.

Anyone noticing, might have seen that I've been on a teddy bear kick lately. I love the old legend about a child's toys taking form within the dreams of the child to defend them from nightmares. I admit I deviated a little as I'm working on different body types... and getting distracted by... a certain body type and loosing my focus. You'll see soon enough.

We all have personal demons. Those elements in our lives that make our so incredibly difficult. I was in a foul mood and said out loud that I wish I could manifest my personal demons into real life, so I can break out the rope and straight jacket and put them in their place, under my boot, calling me SIR!!!

And then I thought... why not?

The most dangerous question in the world... Why Not?

So now I'm sketching my demons as psuedo anthros.

Those are just a few I came up with.

Demon lion, bear, raccoon, tiger, fox, wolf, hyena are some of the species I lined up.

My sketches so far are messy and all over the place, but damn if I didn't feel REALLY damn good drawing my depression having to submit to ME for once!

Given the new unofficial policy being bandied about, I have genuine concerns on this site.

ABDL is not about fetishizing children. Never has been. As an educated member of kink communities, this is a fact I am very familiar with and fully versed on. And given the prevalence of people in the furry community who indulge in this kink, it is upsetting to see a select few targeting those who provide for that part of the furry community.

Policies without CLEAR and specific language are ALWAYS abused. Always.

FA's upload policy has always had a region of interpretation, but lately, unofficial policy and unlisted details on what qualifies as 'fetishizing' have been used to target some artists/content makers.

For me, my concerns come from the deliberate vagueness of the 'unofficial' policy changes. I post images of adults in diapers, because sometimes, that's what some people wanted. I also have no personal concerns about an adult wearing a diaper because I have a sort of 'to each his own' philosophy. But what defines "regression, physically or mentally" here? Does an adult wearing a diaper and acting like a child, IE: carefree, having fun, running around, qualify?

I don't do mess or water-sports or scat. So my diaper images will be clean in that regard. Which basically at that point makes them a different kind of underwear at that point.

FurAffinity is one of the oldest furry community archives with a very useful interface, but this sudden new level of vagueness and targeting of a part of the community comes across as unsavory and possibly deliberately malicious. And it make me question if I should remove certain aspects from my gallery.

But on a final note: Some evidence is surfacing that contributors who predated the policy changes are being targeted as well, instead of having the offensive content removed, their accounts are being frozen, deleted, or banned. This Would be a violation of the TOS with FA. Grandfathered agreements are still viable until policy changes are OFFICIALLY made and PUBLICLY made available to all members of the service. Moreover, it is the Admins responsibility to remove content that violates changes in policy without penalizing the poster, if that content was posted before the changes in policy were made.

We are living through a tumultuous time of hatred and intolerance right now. We as a community cannot afford to allow ourselves to give in to personal tastes and call it offensive. There are fine lines when something crosses a line. But that must be communicated clearly and fairly. We cannot afford to operate with vagueness and disdain.


I often suggest to people who have difficulty laying out such things logically to create a flow chart. Asking clear Yes and No questions to arrive at a clear answer. And with regards to admins who may have differing views of what is or is not something, this is critical for online services.

Just wrapped up my vacation and that means, back to work tomorrow.

But that's ok. Got to go back to basics at some point.

Also, as of today, I have posted 283 images throughout the year. There are 117 days left in the year and that is my goal to draw one a day and get them posted. There have been ups and downs along the way and I have been managing it well. I've played with different themes, such as :

A space station with Sci-fi elements: Station Rho Sigma
A while month of Pride Images
A cartoon-like toy line of animatronics crossed with Shirt Tales body types (For those old enough to remember that show).
A whole line of Superhero Themed images
My own species of fluffy Alchemists
A pile of Fan art
And an assortment of oddball, random images as my muses take me.

For the first time in years, I feel anchored. Despite the chaos in my life. And I feel stable, despite a job that can be yanked out from under me on a whim.

So what themes am I planning for the future?

May try drawing more gorillas.
More fan art to be sure. Same with underwear.
Planning another Sci Fi one... A sort of star Trek inspired series.
Hard at Work types of images like construction, military, police, firefighter, You know... the Village People. (Assuming anyone remembers that reference.)
probably some more superhero types as well. Spandex and the like.
Pirates
And maybe some sword and sorcery style images, like DnD.

And I'll be open to concept ideas too. Just finally feeling like I'm over a substantial hurdle in my life.

Had a delightfully decadent Time in New Orleans with family and friends. But that put me behind on postings, so I will have to do a small flood of them to catch up to my daily. So 7 today if I get around to doing them all. As I was posting the Toy images, that is going to be a good string of images.

I'll be leaving town for a holiday in a day or two. Which means there won't be any posts for about a week. I'll still be drawing my daily routine, but I'll have to post when I get back.

I have finally gotten a clean bill of health regarding the heat exhaustion and am now free to no longer have to confine myself accordingly.

I've been advancing some ideas and am still looking into the whole streaming idea.

Now all I have to do is keep work from trying to kill me.

I will be going on vacation around Labor Day weekend, so expect a possible delay in postings. As it is, I'm working a little series of images I had fun drawing.

I'm also seriously considering streaming. Combo of art and games. Ironically enough, streaming would actually motivate me to play games more.

But I need to find out how much of an investment it will take.

So, time to post some images that I was unable to post the past ten days due to those events.

Boy the Fourth of July to today has been pretty brutal for me. Aside from all that, I had exhaustion from work and had to get a Dr involved to get the management to agree to cut back my time for recovery. Still, at least it is done.

Now we just have to get the house cleaned and in order. Hard to keep things tidy when it's super hot inside.

And some not.

I admit, hearing of Dragoneer's passing and the circumstances feels me with a sense of dread and sadness. FA is a cornerstone of the online Furry community and has been a vital lifeline for may artists and creative types for Decades.

That said, On my end, some things finally got fixed.

Computer: Fixed:

Air conditioning: Fixed

My job: Fixed.

Past two weeks have been brutal as the AC went out, my computer stopped working and my job took a sudden spiral into dangerous territory. So, I've not been posting art due to lack of ability to get online and function. All this while recovering from Heat Exhaustion. So brutal weeks.

I'll be resuming posts soon. After all, I've been drawing all this time... just no way of sharing.

Here's to hopefully two weeks without chaos...

Yay, on top of dealing with heat exhaustion, the AC AND my PC have died. So expect delays in postings.

Today is probably the first day, Post Hurricane Beryl, where I was neither at work doing post storm recovery, or home, doing post storm recovery. Today is just a me day. So I'm catching up the week of posts I missed, post posting 7 extra images today. I was very busy during the storm, coloring away at all the various pieces I did. So much so, I'm almost finished coloring all the pieces I did in 23.

The downside to this is I can see how much I changed and grew digitally in just a year. Coloring a piece I did 8 months ago, versus coloring the pride images I recently drew, I can see all these little changes I made gradually in drawing style as I developed on the device.

I have also just realize that in 2023, I'll have been drawing furry art for 30 years. So It may be time to dig out some older pieces and do a decade by decade comparison.

It is now late Thursday the 11th. Power is back. I’m dealing with heat exhaustion. And don’t feel good. But I have power and ac. Limited internet still due to the company having issues getting up and running.

Now starts the process of a Lot of cleaning. Took advantage of the slow time with little else to do to do a lot of drawing and coloring of the artwork. I fortunately had several fully charged power packs on stand by and when our neighbor got his generator going and loaned us a little power for fans, it let me recharge those packs. So I stayed busy even if I was miserable the whole time.

Some may have noticed a sudden stop in postings. That is because I live in the Houston area and hurricane beryl ripped the power grid a new one.

I am fine, my family is fine, the damage was minimal and mostly branches, but we have been without power since the early morning of the 8th. As such limited access to internet has made me prioritize other things.

I’ll return to posting as soon as power returns.

For now, I am making do with limited power via a neighbors generator. So I have fans, but I’m sweating it out without ac. I have plenty of food and water. Just trying to be patient until power returns.
