How's the day?
Posted 2 hours agoSo heard good stuff happened in New York, so that's pretty awesome to hear!
I just kinda wish some cool stuff would happen around here. Sure, last year had the eclipse and that was super awesome, seeing friends and the like, but I mean, last year has some shitty times too! That seems opposite this year so far, I've had far less fun stuff happen! I'll miss my first MFF since like... 2014 or something, but it's all good. Sometimes, the brain just needs a bit to recharge!
I've reconnected with some old friends here and there, and gosh dang, did it feel good! Part of me wondered why I fell out of contacting them in the first place. I mean, the 2010s and early 2020s were kind of a blur in my life, not really remembering much that didn't involve my wife.
Ah well, just stay cool all you party people!

Posted a month agoHey!
I've been getting a bit more into VR Stuff. Nothing crazy or groundbreaking, it's just a Quest 2 hooked up with Steam Link, but still. It's an all new experience with games and chatting so yeah.
Surprisingly absolutely no one, I'm Wilhawk on there too so if you see me around, hit me up. I'm trying to hop on it a lit more often.

Do people still post normal thoughts here?
Posted a month agoHey! Almost 10 years ago I posted my last journal. Dang. That's a long time! Not since that one MFF where I dressed up as Sans and fought Saitama. Good times.
Anyway, I've been around here and there from time to time, but not really doing... much. I see a good amount of journals are for commissions, so I gotta ask, short and sweet. Do people use these journals for more personal mentions anymore? Like the old days of LiveJournal?
Is anyone even still around to see this? Dang, 10 years is a long time.

Back from MFF!
Posted 10 years agoSo I got back. Sunday, in fact, but con crud tends to delay things, and working with said crud makes things twice as difficult. But either way, yes! I'm back from MFF! And it was the best one yet!
I was able to finish up my cosplay, thanks for a good friend of mine working on the pants at the last minute, and as such, part of Friday and a good chunk of Saturday, I was walking around the floor as Sans from Undertale! Even got into part of the fursuit parade. I'd have done the whole thing, but I lost track of time. And I was lazy. As Sans would have been.
My wife
Raayvenwolfgirl was able to orchestrate an Undertale Photoshoot as well with all the cosplayers that were there. It was amazing! I'll be posting more, but I've got a couple up there at the moment. The outfit needs just a couple more things to be true Sans, but hey, for now? It looks pretty good!
If you saw me there, give me a shout out, and if you took pics? Awesome as well!

So hey, I'm totally married now.
Posted 10 years agoSo while waiting for maintenance to come and repair our hot water heater... AGAIN... I may as well procrastinate all of my chores that require hot water!
As such, yesterday, I got married to the ever so wonderful
Raayvenwolfgirl
And it's great! It's great to finally have that all behind me. Outside of the that, things are pretty okay.

I'M WAITING FOR A CALL FROM TORIEL!
Posted 10 years agoSo while I wait, do this thing!
1. Tell you what animal/creature you remind me of that ISN'T your fursona's species.
2. Tell you what color I think fits you.
3. Tell you how I feel about you.
4. Insult you.
5. Tell you my favorite character of yours. (If you have more than one...)
6. Tell you what season you remind me of.
7. Tell you what you smell like in my head.
8. Think of a random nickname for you.
9. Tell you what element you remind me of.
10. Tell you what weapon I'd equip you with in a fantasy dungeon crawl
11. Assign you a super power and super-hero/villain name.
12. Ask you to put this in your journal without using the word 'tag'

Hey guys, it's been a while!
Posted 11 years agoWell, yeah. Some stuff has happened, keeping me busy and the like but considering that I am once again jobless, I have a bit more time to let you guys know of going ons! Hooray?
Either way, E3 was a blast, huh? Lots of info and some rays of hope for the Big N. I'm not really here to debate who was better and blah blah for a couple of reasons.
A: I am biased towards Nintendo. I have no shame in admitting that.
B: Arguing opinions on gaming consoles is kind of pointless because people like different things.
Smash is going to be amazing, I'm interested in the Amiibo figures and hell, I'd even give Mario Party 10 a shot.
School is going well enough. I was able to pass my first certification test some time ago and have another one coming up next week. So, wish me luck on that one as well!
Today, I'm taking Raayven out for her birthday a little late to see How to Train your Dragon 2 after class, so that'll be nice. I'll probably make another journal at some point to let you guys know.
I'm still playing Mario Kart 8, trying to unlock all of the parts when I get time, but if any of you want to race, hit me up with a note or something. I probably check FA WAY more than I do any IM messenger, and Skype is currently the bane of my existence as I am on a Windows 8 computer.
Other than that, I'll try and keep all five of you updated with what happens on my job search.
Okay? Okay. See ya!

MarioKart 8! And some other things.
Posted 11 years agoI had a huge amount of things I was going to put on this later than Monday post-holiday journal, but there's was the most fucking adorable baby duck outside and I just... forgot everything! Anyway:
As I write this, I am downloading MarioKart 8 from the Nintendo eShop. Still don't know which free game I'll get for getting it either. Apparently there's a promotion to if you register your copy of Mario Kart 8, you can choose a free copy of either Wind Waker HD, New Super Mario Bros U, Pikmin 3 or Wii Party U. I already have Wind Waker HD, considering I have the Zelda Wii U, and don't have much of an interest in Pikmin, so that leaves two choices. I'll probably go with Mario. Yeah.
But yeah! Fuckin' Mario Kart 8! If any of the five or so people that read this want to play online, I think you just need my NintendoID? I think? That's simply wilhawk. WAY easier than Friend Codes.
So, it's no secret that I listen to a lot of music. A LOT of music. Most of said music is video game or chiptune. I was thinking of putting down my top 10 favorite video game tracks, talking why and then moving on to another top 10 next week. Problem is? Everything I was going to say and write just went south when I saw that baby duck. You guys have NO idea.
In other news, I am taking my first Certification exam next week for the CompTIA A+, and then the Network+ shortly after. I'm already looking for a better job, with a smokin' hot resume and a suit in the closet waiting to be flaunted. I feel that something with this path will be life changing. For better or for worse.
WoW will probably be pushed to the side for a couple of weeks to help me focus more on school and to slowly work on a backlog of games. So yeah, maybe next week will be a much more... grand journal. I'm not sure.
Also, if you get bored, I highly recommend listening to MrCreepyPasta's narration of NoEnd House, my favorite Creepypasta. Mmmm, love it.
Okay? Okay. See ya!

So, went to the movies for the first time in forever.
Posted 11 years agoWhat did I see? A little movie called Godzilla!
A little birdy history lesson. When I was a wee one, I loved Godzilla. Any time my parents went to the local video store, I would always look for the monster movies, almost always walking out with a Godzilla movie. I remember the first one I saw was Godzilla vs. Monster Zero. Since then, when we went on long car rides to see the grandparents and the like, my mother bought me a posable Godzilla and MechaGodzilla. Good times.
Anyway, where was I? Oh right, the movie!
I won't spoil it or anything, but it was good. Made me completely forget about the 1999 one. All in all, I cheered and whooped and hollered and the like. Well, maybe just cheered. Either way, I highly recommend the movie, although it does get a bit dry at parts and teases a bunch of action, but the end pays off swimmingly.
Other than that? School is going well enough, I suppose. I'll be taking my CompTIA 801 exam in a couple of weeks, followed by the CompTIA 802 exam. So all in all, I'm rather excited about all of that. I'll be able to get a job where I can actually save money and splurge on occasion.
It is rather late for me and I should retire to bed. Spent a bit too much time staying up and playing WoW... just like the old days.
Okay? Okay.

iFC, MFF and the wardrobe
Posted 11 years agoSpoilers: This post has nothing to do about what I wear or even a closet/armoire.
So this year at iFC, I will more than likely not be attending. Right now is a rather pivotal point in my life. I'm working toward getting a career instead of another job and it's something I'm working very hard for. So much so that I barely get time for much else.
That being the case, iFC this year for myself will be a no go. I've no time to set aside for the convention and doing the responsible thing, I'll be passing it up.
However. For MFF 2014, time will be a bit more open and I will have a bit more money to spend and enjoy myself. So I plan on going to MFF this year. I mean, heck, I already reserved a room with my roommate, girlfriend and two other good friends of ours. So yeah, it'll be a blast. Can't wait to hang out with some of the people I haven't seen in almost/over two years.
Other than that, school is going great, information is overwhelming, but I'm handling it. Still not craving a cigarette and everything else is just peachy at the moment. Also, I know I was going to shoot for Mondays on updating these journals and the like BUUUUUUT... I was sick. Cut me some slack. I'm better now, more or less.
So with that, I'll see you all next Monday with another pointless, journal filling update on my mundane life.
Okay? Okay.

A little update about myself
Posted 11 years agoAlright, I figured I'd post more of these things to let all one of you know more about what's been going on in my life.
Well... for one, I quit smoking a month ago. To this day actually. I feel tons better than I used to for the most part, now if I can just quit being fat as easily as I did smoking.
Also, I've gotten back into WoW. Various toons on Wyrmrest Accord, so yeah. That's a thing too.
Most importantly, I've finally gotten back into school to get various IT certifications. Once I get that finished, I'm sure I'll be able to have a job where I don't want to go on a massive murder suicide.
Either way, that's the update for now... I think I'll do one of these... let's see... every Monday night. That sounds good.
Okay? Okay.

So, Eorzea and A Realm Reborn.
Posted 12 years agoYeah, I'm playing it. BIG DEAL! WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT?!
Actually, from what I hear, most people playing it are having a good time with it. Surprisingly, I am as well.
I've gotten it on PS3 because my PC could only dream of playing it, what with it's outdated technology and my lack of resources. Or caring. Or time. Regardless though, it hits all the right points and fixes a lot of the issues I had with 11 back in the day. I played 11 for a while so I know some of the shortcomings it had. I applaud it for being an 11 year old MMO. While not the longest, it's certainly worth bragging about.
I'm sure WoW isn't too far from that either. Though, everyone under the sun has heard of WoW.
This one though, A Realm Reborn, has been a lot of fun. Sure, it's an MMO that functions like your standard MMO. Though, it's borrowed some things from the giant itself, as with most MMOs now a days and in my opinion, improves on a lot of it.
Parties for instanced raids are only 4 and 8, which is a lot easier for the people playing with the controller. Controlling is pretty simple, though auto-run is a bit wonky and targetting can be a bit frustrating at times. Either way, it's been a while since I could pop something into my PS3 that isn't Tales related and play it so much, I've lost complete and total track of time.
I won't go into a full on review of this one here, but I plan on whipping up my full report and maybe posting it to GameFAQs, or make a blog, or something. What's all the new kids doing these days?
If you're playing, watching me and give a damn, come poke me on the Famfrit server. I'm a pretty kitty!
(Of course, this is all verily subject to change come October 12th. For... reasons.)

Selling all of my WoW TCG cards
Posted 12 years agoNot that the card game is retiring or anything. I just had a lot of cards that I never really got to enjoy. Hardly anyone I knew played the game and I never got out to really get out there to play.
So I'm totally selling all of this:
Random assortment of 947 cards
Onyxia Raid Deck
Molten Core Raid Deck
And for all of this, I'll even cover the shipping. Free shipping, that's right!
Now for the price. I really don't want a lot. I just want them gone so I'm open to debate, but I'd like at LEAST 15 bucks for the deal. If you're not interested, at least spread the word about. It would totes help me out.
So yeah. Help a bro out!
Also, I have a ton* of Furoticon cards I'm wanting to get rid of as well.
*not really a ton. Probably about 200 cards.

Go check that out. She's good author and has a wide variety of things she can write, and her computer is a piece of crap. I've had to fix it more times than I can care to count.
Regardless, check it out! 5 bucks per 5 pages isn't all that bad!

So yeah, I kinda saw this coming, but it is sad news. I'm not a brony and the show is okay, but I loves me some fighting games and was looking forward to playing it.
Maybe something'll come through for them, who knows.
