Hello hello! Sorry for the trouble, all. I just thought maybe I'd update you guys on how things have been going lately! I know it may seem like this account is inactive, but this couldn't be further from the truth. The reality of the situation is I have been sketching traditionally every day! On top of this, not all of the sketches I've done have been anthropomorphic/ animal based. I would rather not flood your inboxes with pictures of not-furry-related drawings on a site that is intended to promote anthro/furyy art.

To be perfectly honest, I am much more active on my PERSONAL TWITTER ACCOUNT so please consider looking through there for more consistent uploads of my sketches!

In addition to school, I've been working diligently on some personal projects. Once I have a little more time in the summer, I'll be uploading much more regularly.

Hi there! Terribly sorry for the bother, but I was hoping maybe some of you guys would be able to help me with a little predicament of mine.
I've decided I would like to purchase, or even potentially make, a diaphragm call. A diaphragm call is often used by hunters for turkey, elk, and coyote calling, but it's been seeing a lot of use by fursuiters in recent years! I know it's been very popular with dutch angel dragons, and I was curious to see if these calls would be able to lend anything to my character, Roda.
I've been looking everywhere for one, but I'm hard pressed to find the whistle that will make the sounds I'm looking for. I don't want to sound like a song bird, but I find that turkey calls produce a very specific sound that doesn't lend itself well to a dragon type character.
Do you guys have any suggestions? Maybe even some references or guides on how to get certain sounds out of calls, or how even how to make your own call?

Hey there everyone! Sorry for the bother, but I just wanted to assure my watchers that I am NOT dead here on FA. There have just been a few real-life things that have been keeping me busy. Aside from school picking up in difficulty, my house was painted. I had to help move out a lot of stuff and furniture so the painters could work. We've only just started moving things back in, so it should take a little while longer before things start to settle down.

I've also been dealing with a few health issues-both physical and mental. I won't burden you too much with the details, but I will mention it has taken a considerable chunk of my energy and time, so I apologize for the lack of work I should be posting. I just haven't had the time to draw! Thankfully, my seasonal job has just ended, so I'll have a little more free time to myself. There's going to be a few more weeks of quiet on my profile, but I'll be uploading again, soon! Thanks for the patience!

Hey there! I thought now would be a really good time to update you guys on some of the stuff that's going on. First, I'd like to say thank you to all of my new followers! I really appreciate every single watch I get: It means the world to me that you think my drawings and style are something worth looking at! I'll be breaking off this journal into chunks, so your guys can have an easier tome reading and digesting these updates.


General Info and Commission Status
School has been going well enough: it's only the first few weeks so I definitely expect things to start ramping up in October. Despite this, I am still going to be taking commissions! You can check out the Commissions Info tab on my page for some more information on prices, and for some examples! I am working on a price sheet, but that's something that I'm going to be working on in spare time, as I don't really predict a large amount of inquiries, so the tab on my profile should suffice for now. I'll only be taking a few commissions at a time, so please check the available slots on the Info tab to see if I can accept your request! I will not be doing anymore freebies at this time.
In addition to commissions, I'll also be making a few adoptables here and there, so keep your eyes peeled!


Characters for Sale
I'm happy to say that most of the character's I wanted to sell have found good homes, but there are still a few left if you are interested:
There's my Starry Saeril, Finley the Turtle , and Sammy the Otter. I have updated their submissions with their prices and links to their original sheets, for the sake of simplicity.

I mentioned in my previous journal that I would be making promotional art. THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE Instead, I have chosen to keep them in my gallery and promote them from time to time. In addition I WILL NO LONGER BE OFFERING THE FREE REFERENCE SHEET FOR SAMMY AND FINNLEY.

The reference sheets take a lot out of me, and I won't be able to handle that (or making any other promotional art, for that matter) on top of taking any commissions. I truly believe this is a mutually beneficial move, as it won't inflate the price of the characters, and will allow myself more time to focus on other work. hope they find good homes in the future.

Hey guys! Terribly sorry for anyone who hates journal notifications, but I figured maybe now would be a good time for an update about commissions.

I'm going to be slowly feeling out the types of commissions I'll be offering. I'll make a set and proper commission sheet later on, but for now the tab on my profile should suffice! Currently, I'm offering to make character ref sheets. They offer a three point view as well as spaces for accessories, likes/dislikes/ and notes on their personality. If you think maybe that's something you'd like for your character, they're only $30 USD. And don't worry, any writing needed will be typed, not handwritten. I may open for flatcolour comissions later on.

My main focus is getting rid of any unsold adopts I have. After some consideration, I've decided that anyone who purchases an adoptable Saeril may change the species. And, if you like, anyone who purchases one of my Sae adopts will get the price of the adopt off one of my refsheet commissions. That means, if you like the design of one of my Saeril, but don't like the species, you can buy the adopt, and get the refsheet of them at a discounted price, while also turning them into the species of your choosing for no extra charge. I have been considering making additional art for these adopts. However, I feel like doing this would increase the value of the character. Hey there! I've decided to relaunch the Saeril species with some updated info! For now, these guys will be a closed species, but if a lot of people really like 'em, I'll open them up! I'm very new to this whole "making your own species" thing, so please bear with me while I figure this all out. I tried really hard to make Saeril my own unique thing, and avoid overlap with other popular species. They come form a personal place, and hopefully you guys find something in them that you like! Biology:
Saeril Dragons, or “Sae” for short, are a maned, omnivorous subspecies of dragon that are thought to be related to most Eastern dragons such as the Asian Lung or the Japanese Ryu. This is because- like most eastern dragons- Saeril have long bodies and long necks, horns, and a distinct lack of wings despite their ability to fly. However, they are a little stouter than most eastern dragons. Saeril have short, rounded snouts and large round eyes. Their long, unicorn like tails are slightly prehensile, and while larger Sae might be too heavy to hold their own weight, smaller Saeril have been known to hang from branches with their tails, much like Opossum. A Saeril’s front paws naturally curl into a mantis like posture when walking upright, but it is unknown as to why since Saeril arms can hang at their sides and do not lack any muscle or bones that would restrict them to that posture. Sae hind paws possess three clawed “toes” on each foot, and they can switch between bipedal and quadrupedal locomotion. Saeril have also been known to swim and dive, but because they lack gills, they often need to resurface for air.
The smallest a Saeril can be is 1 foot 5 inches, or about the size of a red panda.

Breeding:
Little is known about Saeril reproduction, but many legends say that Saeril form through the gathering of “essence.” For example, the way the sun shines in a meadow of flowers may one day coalesce into an “essence,” which will then solidify into a baby Saeril. Unlike other Dragons, Saeril do not come from eggs, but from the energy that flows through all living things, and moments in time.
Saeril are an asexual species, feeling no desire to procreate, but they have been known to pair with other Saeril on rare occasions. In some cases, two or more Saeril may come together to share their magic, and help form a new Saeril. Again, this is extremely rare as Saeril are typically solitary creatures and don’t usually interact with other Sae.

Behaviour:
Because Saeril are so hard to find in the wild, it can be difficult to tell what they are like in nature. While there are many myths and stories that portray them as benevolent, generous and kind, there are others that portray them as defensive, territorial, and aggressive. It tends to very greatly depend on the situation. Saeril that have become accustomed to humans through peaceful means may be more inclined to be patient and welcoming, while Saeril that protect territories rather than people may be more aggressive. However, all Saeril are typically solitary creatures, with only a few instances of Saeril-to-Saeril interaction.
Like all dragons, Saeril have a tendency to hoard things. Saeril that protect people often hoard their offerings, or items that are considered “special.” Most Saeril hoards tend to be a mix of things as opposed to a hoard of one particular item.
While Saeril have been known to speak on rare occasions, they typically do not speak to humans. This has become increasingly popular among Sae as their numbers begin to dwindle.

Mythology:
It is said that a four winged Saeril with large antler-like horns was responsible for giving life to the world. It spread its essence and created all living things, giving each of them a soul before fading from the mortal realm. Because of this, the Saeril have a natural need to protect, guide, and care for all things in the world, and it is believed that each has a “destined” place they are to reside as guardian protectors.
Because of their incredible magical ability, and seemingly endless life, Saeril are often thought to be gods in their own right, if not the form of other popular deities or that said deity’s messenger. They are often regarded as wise creatures, not unlike how most other Asian dragons are portrayed. There exist many stories in which people and Saeril interact and learn from each other, all of which usually serve as most myths do: to tell stories and teach lessons.
Saeril are typically protective creatures. They may be so inclined to protect locations, people, clans, or family. However, attracting the attention of a Saeril is extremely hard, and has a lot of requirements. This usually takes the form of offerings and celebrations in the name of the Saeril. In popular legends, Saeril only approach those who have presented them with adequate respect and tribute, as well as a Token or gift from the people trying to curry it’s favour. This is because for centuries Sae have been regarded as god-like and –being dragons- are partial to gifts.

Hello! Terribly sorry to be bothering anyone who actually reads these, but I'm going to be cleaning up my gallery! I really feel like a lot of the stuff I've been posting hasn't really been up to my standard, so I'll be taking down....everything? Almost everything. Even the Journals that I feel aren't really relevant anymore.
