Hey, everybody! As I'm sure you've noticed, I haven't had any art to upload lately, commissions or otherwise. This is because I am focusing exclusively on my fursuit commissions at the moment, and am so tantalizingly close to finishing at least one of them.

This is just a quick update to let you all know what's going on, but this weekend I have family coming over and then will be going back to Utah with them to stay over Christmas. I'll be able to sketch some commissions but won't have access to my computer to finish them until the following week, so expect a bit of a delay. I also have finals next week as well (merry Christmas to me, uhg), so that will unfortunately slow me down, but on the bright side these are my absolute last classes and then I'm done forever!

Also, since I'll be finishing up one of my two fursuit commissions right quick I may be opening for one more partial or fullsuit in the next little while, so keep an eye out!

So... yeah. Although I wasn't planning on breeding my axolotls until February at the earliest, Axel knocked the tank divider down one night last week and they bred before I could set it back up, and Obsidian began laying eggs on the 25th into the 26th. I guess there's no stopping horny axolotls! lmao

Obsidian laid around 200 eggs and I was able to sell pretty much all of them. I decided to keep about 20 myself to hatch and raise, so that means I will have axolotl babies for sale in the next 4-ish months! So far the eggs are developing rapidly already, and I'm both excited for and slightly dreading when they hatch (should be between 10 and 13 more days). I've been posting pictures and updates of the eggs on my Twitter and Instagram, so take a looksey if you're interested in axolotl egg development! :D

It's been a while since I've wrote one of these journal things. lol

So yeah, like the title says; I'm moving! This time it's a more substantial move than my last two somewhat bizarre moves within the same state. This time I'm moving out of state and will be renting a small apartment with my good friend :devPocketCollie:! I'll be spending the majority of this week packing up and will be moving stuff up to our new place this upcoming weekend. I'm pretty excited to finally be getting out on my own!

As well as moving, I have another, more fun announcement! Recently I have arranged to buy a female axolotl for future breeding with my current axie boy! I will have her shipped out to me once I get moved in and upgrade Axel's (my axolotl, if you've forgotten) tank to a 55 gallon. Her current owner sent me some pictures, and she is GORGEOUS!

I'm gonna name her Obsidian :3

She's about 8 inches long (stunted growth from her previous owner) and 16 months old (only two months younger than Axel). She's a melanoid axolotl, and although her current owner doesn't know her linage or what she is het for, her sister is albino so there's a chance she carries the albinism gene. Axel is technically a melanoid himself, since he lacks iridophores although his dominant color morph is leusistic. I can go on and on about axolotl phenotypes and genotypes, but in short any babies I get from breeding these guys are going to be crazy beautiful! :D

So that's that! I'm probably more excited about getting my axie girl than the move, haha! I have a lot to look forward too, and a lot to do in preparation. See you all on flip side!

Hello my peeps!

I've got a quite a bit going on of late, and I figure I'll let you all in on it since it directly affects my art/online activity.

First things first, I will not be taking any commissions this month mainly due to burnout as well as getting all applied for college. That's right! I'm going back to school! Well, going back as in online classes at least. I've spent all of last month trying to finagle the whole registration thing as well as the financial aid part of it, and let me tell you, I've never had a more difficult time with applying for a college before. But thankfully I was able to be accepted and I have just registered for classes, although they're still processing things. Uhg. I'm very thankful that I was able to find a program in my preferred field of study that I can work with my learning disability, and although it's just an undergraduate certificate in fish and wildlife management and not a BS degree, I'm still glad that I'll be able to do this and am looking forward to the classes.

So, again, I will not be taking commissions this month while I work out college and life stuff. However, I will instead be working on getting some new things up in my Etsy as well as just getting my Etsy back up and running in general. I will likely have regular commissions open again next month.

It's been several weeks since my last entry, so now that I have internet again and got my computer up and running I figure it's high time for an update.

Alright, first things first; my family and I are all alright. We stayed with my aunt and uncle for about a week and a half before another uncle offered to let us stay in his mom's vacant house rent-free until we can get a handle on our situation. My mom wants to try and work things out with her husband and he seems, more or less, willing to try, although he isn't allowing us to move back into his house (he claims that he and his son need a "break"). If it were my choice I wouldn't bother with him, but I support my mom on her decisions. If things do work out between them though my brother and I will not be moving back into his house and we will both be taking steps to find our own places.

I am crazy grateful to my family and friends for all the help they've offered and all of their kind words. Being essentially homeless over the holidays is definitely not a good feeling, so I can't begin to explain how grateful I am that my family took their time to take care of us. And yes, we were able to have Christmas together, and we actually had a really good time. :)

In the meantime, my immediate family and myself will be staying at my uncle's mom's house for at least 3 months until we know exactly what we need to do in terms of finding a more permanent place to live and all that fun life stuff. Until I know where I will be living more long-term I will be continuing to rely upon commissions as my income. My Etsys will remain closed though.

So, here's a quick heads up that I will opening for commissions tomorrow! You can find my commission info on my front page if you'd like to give it a look before I officially open.

Yep, got some bad news unfortunately.

My stepdad is kicking my family out. We're going to stay with my aunt and uncle until we can find somewhere to rent and get all moved. For the time being I have temporarily closed both my Etsy shops and I will not be taking commissions this month (which really blows because I need the work now more than ever). This also means I will not be able to do any Christmas gifts.

We'll be alright though. We've been in this situation before and we have a lot of family around to help us out.
