Okay It took a while but I finally compiled the selected forms into a queue linked below. At the moment this the order I'll be doing the commissions in, but given it's more looser nature with no scheduled dates it is subject to change to suit the client needs.

Thank you so much to everyone who submitted forms for review! There were quite a lot of ideas I really did like and wished I could do them all. That said I am trying to keep things more loose with more openings as the year goes by so hopefully those not selected for this opening will have another chance!

So to start off I just want to say thank you guys so much for commissioning me and continuing to show support whether by commission or by coming by to say hello, you guys are awesome. ❤️

Now for a major update, as of this post I have decided to close stream commissions for now in order to focus on the ones I do have left to be scheduled AND to work on a new streaming and commissioning format.

What this means is that any forms that have been sent in prior to this post WILL be scheduled eventually and hoped to be completed by the end of the year optimistically. Vice versa any new forms that come in will be disregarded and not scheduled (I just KNOW some people are going to try to send a form in regardless.)

The reason for this change, while mostly to make room for the new format and testbed the options, it's also because I've begun to notice I'm starting to take more time to do the stream comms. As fast and determined as I am (or crazy as my friends loving say) I've been going over the 12 hour time mark more times than I am comfortable with. While I can handle the workload, I'd rather not risk my health to spend 16 hours to complete a stream commission and do the next scheduled comm a few hours later repeatedly and also risk the quality of the art degrading due to the time limit and schedule.
And so with that I've decided to turn the stream comms from being a one all option to two distinct formats. More details on them to be announced later.

1) INSTREAM COMMS These will be what the stream comms were originally intended for, quick character sketch with flat color pieces that are not refs or pseudo refs, overly complex pieces or pieces done without a ref. These will be raffled instream and have two week cooldowns for winners. Because of their more simple and mostly artistic freedom based nature they won't be as pricey as the current options, but won't have as many options either. And specifically because these are instreams refs or visual images of the character are required - NO EXCEPTIONS - These are limited only by how many I can go through each stream.

2) STREAMED COMMISSIONS These will be the ones that are similar to my older commissions, meaning there will be options to have a character ref done. Most of the current Stream Commission options will be transferred to this format, but this time around these won't be fitted into a weekly scheduled, but instead will be ordered based on first come first serve with limited slots (There will be a batch cooldown for those who do get a slot). What this means is that while there won't be a scheduled day to plan accordingly, this will offer more flexibility in giving time to more complex commission and not crunch like I have been doing recently.

Because of the new commission format my streaming schedule will change as well:

MONDAYS and FRIDAYS will be days I do Instream comms

WEDNESDAYS will be days I stream work on Streamed Commissions

SATURDAYS will alternate between Instream and Streamed Commissions

Note that this is just a preliminary schedule and thus may change once I actually finalize this format. These commission openings are TBA, but mostly likely after the current queue is done.

Going forward I hope this format curbs my tendency to go over the 12 hour limit and gives more options for peeps to get art!

ALSO due to recent news about Paypal, I have decided to switch over to Stripe for future commissioning payments and such. It will essentially be the same as my current payment option with paypal, sending an invoice and the like so hopeful this won't be a major change or roadblock.

Another major update is due to all of the above I will be taking the entirety of October off in order to do testing of these options, test stripe invoicing, do personal arts, rest and all that Jazz, stream comms currently scheduled or to be scheduled will continue again after the break.

Hey guys, no worries it not the big announcement I said earlier, but I wanted to say that I wrote that update when I was emotionally unstrung, the event was something that did hurt me and I want to say I learned from it, but right now I want to keep it close to my chest for the time being. I've cleared my head a bit more and this is something I want to do so please go on like nothing had happen. It'll honestly help me more. ^^

In other news because I am in a clearer headspace I will do the Friday stream today and the charity streams for this Saturday and Sunday will continue as normal too. But beyond that I think it is time I started doing commissions again. So after this batch of charity streams I will be taking a few extra days to do some repricing and figuring out commission options so that I can hopefully get stream commissions up and ready by the 21st of February. Not to mention a few other old plans I intend to get back into and get them up and running with more details to follow.

Until then I will be breaking my tradition of not doing nsfw commissions and making them available for the upcoming stream comms. Terms of Service Do's and Don't still apply of course but now the horny lot of ya can be even more satisfied now. xD

I will still do the streams it's just that I will have to change the dates until later. My heart hurts to do this but I hope you guys will understand when I explain it. Hey guys! First and foremost thank you everyone who donated and help us blow past the initial goal of $2000! It means so much to see how much people care and want to help others. <3

Unfortunately due to some unforeseen circumstances donators outside the US could not donate directly through the site, which lead me to close out the rewards on the campaign page and do a headcount on who got what rewards and what rewards are left. So far I managed to get the count down and so far the number of rewards are as follows:

~~ Six $50 tier rewards left

~~ 30 $25 tier rewards left

These rewards will be open again tomorrow at noon as well via the following work around below.

Now since the tiltify donation page is only taking US residents donations, this time around I'll be taking e-mail requests to donate to the organization. What this means is that you'd send an email to my art mail with the subject matter: "2020 Charity Stream" and request one of the available rewards. Effectively similar to requesting a commission. Once I have acknowledged your request I will send you a link to a paypal donation page to input the amount you want for the reward. Once donated I'll mark you down on the donation list. This will be first come first serve so any requests that comes in for a reward than has been exhausted will unfortunately not be counted and will be informed as such.

The reason for this is to ensure that all donations going towards a reward will be directly accounted for and no one is misplaced or miscounted. Those whom I've contacted and already confirmed as attempting to donate outside the US will receive a link to the donate page shortly.


So in short:

1) To get one of the remaining rewards, send a request e-mail with the subject: "2020 Charity Stream" to william.d.mai.art@gmail.com and include username and type of reward.

2) Once acknowledged as counted, I'll send you a link to a paypal donate page where you can input your money (for those outside the US select the pay with debit/credit card if the paypal option does not work)

3) Once paid, I'll add your name to the donations list.


I admit this method is longwinded and not as intuitive as doing it directly to the site, but hopefully this should give everyone a chance to donate to a great cause and get something in return. ^^

Hey guys! No stream today unfortunately due to hand cramping, but will hopefully be able to tomorrow!

Hey guys! After next week or so I'll be doing a series of highly focused streams working on personal updated ref sheets and other concept stuff for the next few weeks or so. Been feeling like I'm slacking off and losing focus so I'll be doing a lot of streams with no mics, won't be responding if at all to chat in the stream and possibly might be going solo and no multis. It'll be a bit boring and I could essentially do it off stream, but I wanted to still show you guys the work being done. And streaming forces me to focus and am trying to reduce as much distractions to myself. So until then hopefully will be updating some old characters of mine!

Hey guys! FINALLY had time to make a list of the donators for the Direct Relief Charity Stream Sketches so you guys can get a close idea of what place you are on the list and get a rough idea of when your piece will be done.

OKAY, so internet is being a butt now and I can't stream. I've been having occasional moments when the internet wasn't working and should have seen this coming.

Terribly sorry to those who were expecting their comms to be worked on today as well as everyone who applied since I'll have to reschedule everything until I resolve the issue.

What-if? Taur YCH Guide

Hey guys just a little announcement! I'll be opening Stream Comms again! And along with that comes some big changes to the form as well as new additions.

But first the opening details! I'll be opening the queue on March 23rd, at 11:59 AM PST. The requests will be taken as first come first serve, but it will be a bottomless cap on the queue, meaning I'll be taking request for as long as a month, in which I'll work and finish requests during the opening and after the closing of the window, which will be April 23rd 11:59 AM PST. Keep in mind that requests in queue are not confirmed until they are paid on the day they will be streamed. It will be one comm per slot.

Until then the requestee can chose to edit their responses or have their request taken out for personal reasons.

But before the opening date, I want to let returning clients and new ones know about the changes made to the form as well as additions!

Among the changes are:

- The exclusion of Soft and cell shading options, which have been taken out in order to not be overworked on detail work and to get the comms out in a timely manner. Also from experience with the charity stream where I ended up working little over two months completing work from just a week of opening, the exclusion of the soft and cell dhading is for practical reasons of preventing myself from being overworked.

- The prices of Flat coloring greyscale/colors options as well as their respective additions options have been bumped up by $10. However the prices for the other options will remain the same.

- Because soft and cell shading are taken out, I'll allow up to 3-4 additions of characters per comms.

- Flats with have some additions such as highlights and small details like blushes, blended colors like hair dye, and glowing effects.

Alrighty now on to additions! Of which their are two major ones!

The first is the addition of an Animal Crossing Styled Stream Comm! This option will allow you to have up to two characters drawn as Villagers. Included in this is 1-2 characters drawn in a lineless shaded style with a simple island BG. All of this will be $100, of which I plan to donate 10% of each comm's profit towards organizations that aids in people affected by the quarantine due to the Covid-19 epidemic

The second is a YCH option in which it is a What-If? idea of turning your character into a centaur! The idea is that your character regardless of gender, species, body type, will be given a lower body of a horse; the coloring of which will be based on your character's design/patterns. All of this will be done in a Clean Sketch with Flat colors for $70.

So after exactly one month since the charity stream, I have finished all 58 donation rewards!
I'll be posting them in batches of 4 over a few days so as to not spam you guys. keep a heads up for them real soon!

Hey guys! So with the charity event over (we raised $4,427!) I just want to say thank you to everyone who donated and came by the streaming event to support it and have fun hanging out! You guys made the event a lot more fun than it would have been with just me doing art so double thanks for that. ^_^

So now! On to the future stuff and plans ahead!

As of now I have around 34-36 rewards to finish for those that donated and will stream Monday-Thursday and Saturday-Sunday at 1PM - 10PM US Pacific time until I finish every one. I'm hoping the estimated time to complete them all will be 1-2 months but I will get them done! once the rewards are done my stream schedule will change to be Saturday-Sunday 1PM - 11PM US Pacific time.

During this time I will also be working on main comms on Fridays. Please keep in mind that there were quite a lot of interesting ideas, and it was quite difficult to narrow them down, so please don't take the choices made personally! In fact, a good number of them can work just as well as a stream comm (and might cost less even) so keep a heads up on that!
