MCFC (FCN Replacement) Hot Pepper Furries
Posted 12 years agoI wanted to do something fun at this years FCN replacement, I believe it's Motor City Fur Con (if not, please feel free to correct me).
After watching some Hot Pepper Gaming reviews, I decided it might be fun to watch a couple fursuiters react to hot peppers, while in suit.
Let's face it, furries overreact all the time anyway. Recording your reaction while in suit? Oh hell yeah, that should be pretty good.
So, as of right now, I will be buying a couple of habanero peppers to give out for free. The only catch is that you must eat it in front of my camera. We can do this publicly, or privately. Videos may (most likely) be uploaded to YouTube. I will not be providing milk/bread/soda/whatever. So, if you think you can handle the heat, please make sure you are prepared.
I am also going to expect people to come find me for this. I will not be seeking out others.
In order for this to happen though, I need to make sure others are interested.

Happy 31st Birthday
Posted 12 years agoI don't normally care about my birthday, but my friends decided to celebrate it for me this year and made it bigger than last year. Not by much, but I really don't mind. We went to Outback Steakhouse and ate with 5 of my friends. There were 3 more that wanted to come, but were unable to (for understandable reasons).
I don't need a huge party, even though the Kitty wants to make it a big deal. I'm fine with keeping it small. I'll upload my furry related presents (the Arcanine plush and pictures from the Kitty were already uploaded) when I get the chance.
I'm sorry I haven't been on FA very much, but real life has been keeping me quite occupied as of late.
I still sign on when I can and try to reply to comments/notes/shouts/whatever.

Yes, it is that time of year again that I ask everyone to stuff
dragoneer into his well known Candy Corn costume.
For those of you unfamiliar with why I do this:

I got hit by a car (Ver. 2.0)
Posted 12 years agoOkay, I'm more awake and able to think more clearly.
I was on my way to work and as I got the white light for crossing Woodward, a lady driving her car hit me while I was riding my bike. She was making a right turn on a red light and said she didn't see me. I saw her vehicle come to a rolling stop and didn't think she was going to speed up and go, since I had the right of way. I thought she saw me, but apparently didn't. She admitted fault, repeatedly, and kept apologizing.
I didn't bother contacting the police because all that would have happened is they give her a citation for hitting a pedestrian and she would get points on her license. As long as I don't have to pay for anything, I don't really care. She contacted her insurance company and got me a case number. I gave the information to Beaumont hospital and just need to follow up come Thursday to make sure all the information is taken care of properly.
I'm sore, but they gave me a Vicodin at the hospital which numbed all the pain. It's worn off since then and I have a little bit of lingering pain, but they gave me some Norco (5-325). It's supposed to be just like Vicodin, but with less Tylenol. Hopefully I don't have to use it, but I will if necessary.
I also got a tetanus shot, because apparently I was overdue for one. It doesn't hurt yet, but they put it into the same arm that got injured, so hopefully it will help mask the pain.
I called the Royal Oak Police and explained my situation to them. I didn't want to make a crappy situation even worse but if this lady backs out and decides she doesn't want to pay for anything, the police said I can still file a report. There is no time frame on filing a report. The officer said that I can give the lady the benefit of the doubt and let her take care of things. But if she starts dragging her feet and doesn't want to take care of anything, I can still file a report and the police will help me get things resolved.
I just spoke with the insurance company and they got a statement from me. The agent said he is going to get a statement from the lady that hit me and then they will conduct an investigation. They are going to get in touch with me after that and we will figure out where to go from there. This will also reimburse me for damages done to my bike. I just need to keep track of anything that is a direct expense to my bike or myself as a cause of the accident.
I think that just about sums it all up though. If anyone else has any questions, feel free to ask.

Status Update
Posted 12 years agoTo anyone that has been following my updates on Facebook, I'm getting increasingly frustrated with Kroger. They aren't doing what the "union" says they should be doing, the "union" isn't backing up what they claim they are watching out for, and I am ready to just quit.
However, being as how I need a job, I've been biding my time, biting my tongue, and filling out job apps.
I now have 3 job offers.
S.A.F.E. Management, which would be security working down at Ford Field. Since this job would be weekends only, I'm going to take it. Not full time, but it would be enough extra income to really help out without being too draining. I can choose which events I want to work and since my buddy, Cooter, works there as well, I'll work the events he works and save on gas.
First Student, which would be driving a school bus for the city of Troy. Very local to me, and the starting pay is $12.48 per hour. I'm thinking I would really like to take this job, because kids seem to really like me. It's a minimum of 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. So I'm guaranteed 20 hours a week. Not much, but the hourly pay definitely makes up for it.
Belle Tire, starting pay is $8.50 per hour. I would be doing essentially the exact same thing as when I was at Discount Tire, but it would be much less demanding and hopefully a lot less stressful.
I'm not sure if I should take Belle Tire or First Student. The bus driver job would pay a LOT better, but I would also be missing out on hours in the summer time. I could also work more hours at Ford Field, but I'm not sure how well it would all work out for me.
I need to make up my mind quickly too, because Belle Tire wants me to call them back by Monday to see if everything went through okay. Because after that, I would be turning in my 2 week notice to Kroger. If I can make the bus driver job work out for me though, I would just need to make sure Kroger knows what my availability is for the month of August so that I can go to training. I might also "stay" at Kroger and use them for the discount until they decide to let me go.
I just thought everyone would like to know what's going on with my life since I've been essentially dead online (except for posting small updates to Facebook).
Oh yeah, one more big thing that everyone should take note of, Ycats contest. I posted a link to it in the footer of my journal, just like every contest, I want everyone to see it on every journal until the contest is over. Go check it out!

I tried to kill myself, saving a kitten

Kitty and I decided to go for a bike ride tonight and found some people shining a light in the park near the golf course. We rode over to see if we could help with anything. They lost a kitten in a tree. They had a ladder and were trying to get it out. Cute little orange kitten (feral, I think).
Anyway, I offered to climb up and help. Long story short, I heard the branch crack, froze, branch snapped, fat ass went down. Halfway. My right leg got caught on the metal fence. I was hanging by my leg, so I freed myself in such a manner that I threw myself to the ground. The tree broke most of the fall. Everyone started panicking, "are you okay?"
Yeah, I'm fine. "Do you need help?" I could use a hand up...?
I got up, blood was dripping off my leg. Cuts, scratches, marks all over, only my pride was bruised.
We kept looking for the kitten after I cracked a few jokes and assured everyone I was fine. I heard it meow, we wandered over toward the meowing and I saw it chilling at the top of the fence. I reached out quickly (before it could jump down and away) and grabbed it. It tried to get away, but I had a firm grip on it. Didn't stop it from biting me, still didn't let it go.
So, after getting home and cleaned up, I decided to post the pictures and share!

Posted 12 years agoI've found a place to vent when I feel emo. And holy Christ do I feel emo when I reread it. I'm not saying where it is, because its more for my satisfaction of cataloging it for later. Don't ask why, I just found it works for me. I can bitch to noone (but myself) and not feel judged.
Anyway, the point of this journal is to ask if anyone else has something like this? Or am I just that weird?

Difficult Pokemon Challenge
Posted 12 years agoI was making requests to the Poke-pornmasters on Tumblr (it amuses me, shut up!) and kept getting declined. My requests were a little too much for them.
Female trainer transforming into an (female) Arcanine.
Wolf orgy, but there aren't any definable wolves, so a canine orgy. These are the canine style that I've found in most lists (but fear there may be too many): Vulpix, Ninetales, Growlithe, Arcanine, Eevee (and Eeveelutions), Snubbull, Granbull, Houndour, Houndoom, Smeargle, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Poochyena, Mightyena, Electrike, Manectric, Absol, Riolu, Lucario, Lillipup, Herdier, Stoutland, Zorua, Zoroark
Finally, I came up with one that I was really proud of.
How about Mewtwo clones? For example, Arcaninetwo and Ninetailstwo.
Sadly, they declined it. Stating that they would only draw regular or shiny Pokemon.
Still, I really like the idea. So, here is my challenge. This is open to anyone and hopefully will catch on like the Pokefusion craze that hit.
What would Mewtwo cloned Pokemon look like?
Draw whatever you come up with. I'll link to every submission and hopefully people can have fun.

Wolfe Needs Surgery
Posted 12 years agoIt's not major surgery, my impacted wisdom tooth decided to chip yesterday and now I have an appointment to get it removed on Saturday. The downfall is it's going to cost me between $460-495 to get it removed.
$95 Exam
$115 Panoramic X-ray
$250-285 Surgery
I can't afford that and I'm not sure how I'm going to pay for it. I am royally boned however because I can't put this off any longer. The tooth is also so rotted that my breath has effectively made people try to avoid talking to me and can clear out a room. I was told that I won't be able to work that Saturday either. I know my employer is going to LOVE hearing that. Especially since they gave me 40 hours for the week.
I hate begging for money, but I have no choice in this matter. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

FCN Recap
Posted 12 years agoAs everyone else has already said, it was a great con and I had a blast. I met up with a lot of my old friends, and I made a lot of new ones. And even if I didn't make as many new friends as I wanted to, it was still a blast being able to talk to so many different furs.
I'm feeling more and more comfortable in this fandom every time I attend a convention. I met a giggling black and green fursuiter (out of suit at the time) on the elevator. But for the life of me, I can't remember his name. He had a Mohawk (in suit), if that helps any.
I got the opportunity to talk to Wookiee Sunday night in the headless lounge. It was a great conversation and it was probably the better part of an hour. Really nice guy, even though I fangasam'd all over him. I enjoyed having the opportunity to talk about whatever came up (which somehow kept getting back to me going full-nerd).
I took quite a few pictures and have not yet decided how I want to upload them. Since all my previous methods for sharing pictures usually end in bust (sending them via e-mail to every single person really sucks).
I got to talk to Twitch for quite a bit as well. Sunday night he suited for a bit and told me that he felt really bad about not being able to give me some better poses, so he posed for me with his beer bottle. Giving all his praise to the all mighty bottle. I should upload at least one of those.
I got to meet up with a lot of furs.
blizzardwuffy being one of them, he's a lot smaller than I thought.

pizzawolf were all over the place and fun to talk to. 
talicviken was there with his mate, and on Sunday we went to dinner together. Ash & Bigtig seemed to have a lot of fun, I just wish I could've spent more time with them. Palasm & Lamper were seen periodically, Lamper less than Palasm, still had fun with them. I spent quite a bit of time trying to find Wolfpup TK with Palasm, everyone knows what he looks like in suit, no one has any idea what he looks like out of suit. Except for Lavshep, who tried to help me in the lobby. Lav & Der are always great furs to talk to. But they're always way too busy, I can never get much time to talk to them. Der got a gray mouse from me this time. I got a white mouse from him, but it was stolen by 
claypaws, YOU OWE ME A DER MOUSE! 
abrahm gave me some great pointers for photography and told me of a great book to check out, Understanding Exposure (I think?).
I really wish I could remember everyone that I got to talk to at the convention, but in one sitting, it's not gonna happen. Vebo and his mate were rooming with me, FelineElement and Rashoni. Later on, Flare crashed in our room, just because he didn't want to have to leave the con so early. I got a Flux sticker (since the last one I got at AC was given to my sister).
There was a lot to report, but this is everything (that I can remember right now) in summation.

My Latest Update
Posted 12 years agoI got hired in at the local Kroger (it's within walking distance of my house) working in the produce department. They desperately wanted to hire me and the only reason I didn't get hired in sooner is because I was holding out for AT&T. I had my friend mike-son/ yiffmasters get his hands on a copy of the hiring packet for the Premises Technician position and he helped me prepare for everything that they were going to throw at me. Unfortunately, they didn't hire me. So, reluctantly, I took the position at Kroger. I also had a job offer working for some business that was about 20 minutes away. They told me I was hired and I tagged along on one of their shifts to see what the job entitled. Unfortunately, it pretty much boiled down to being a door-to-door salesmen (but for companies) and since it was commission based, I declined. I wanted a job that would offer a reliable income instead of a fluctuating one.
My second day at Kroger, they were already talking about wanting to make me a backup manager. Biggest downfall I have about the job is that it's union. But, I'm going to keep looking for something better and if I can get something, I'll take it. Kroger is minimum wage ($7.40 in MI) and they told me I'm looking at about 20 hours a week. My first week there, the computer said to schedule me for 15 hours. They gave me 24 and I worked 40. Second week there, 40 hours. Tomorrow, the new schedule will be posted for next week, I'm hoping for another 40 hours. 12 weeks in a row at 40 hours and the state law says I have to be full time.
Also, my boss is really cool and understanding. I told him I want time off for FCN and he completely understands and made sure that I have this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. Monday I go in at 2:30.
I also found out that the PotatoeFox lives right down the street from me. Hopefully we'll hang out some more.
My buddy Sean also bought me the Seekers of Adoulin expansion for FFXI and we've been playing the hell out of that lately. More specifically, I've been playing it a little here and there, in-between work. I already got my Rune Fencer to 99 and my Geomancer is sitting at 67. I could take it up to 99 as well, but I've been rather lazy.
I think that just about sums it all up. If you guys care to hit me up, feel free. I'm always willing to talk, I just may not be around as much.

Minor Lapse in Internet Activity
Posted 12 years agoTo those who have been wondering where I've been lately, my computer's PCI wireless card took a dump on me. Fortunately, Rashoni helped me get a replacement card, so now my computer is back up and running. I have a lot to catch up on and little time in which to do it all. I have an interview tomorrow at AT&T (this is for a retail position since I apparently bombed the Premises Technician position). And Monday I have an interview as well. So I am hoping to get a few things caught up on before the end of this week (being tomorrow and Saturday).
So, just to let everyone know, I'm not intentionally ignoring you. Just accidentally.

House Explodes in Royal Oak

I just felt the whole house shake and heard a rather loud boom outside. I'll have to keep a lookout on the news to see what that was.

The explosion that I felt was a house on Cooper Ave, near Woodward. I didn't get very many good pictures, they wouldn't let me get too close. After talking to an officer, he informed me that they were expecting a second explosion (it was at that point, I tucked my tail between my legs and stepped back). I stood around for a little bit, hoping for the opportunity to take some better pictures. A lady drove up and parked behind me, I overheard her say that it was her house. She screamed that she just wanted to see "him" or see "it." I couldn't be sure exactly what she said, but she was very distraught (obviously I didn't bother asking her for more information).
I'll upload some of the pictures that I managed to take (later tonight). I heard a couple of different stories from different people. Most of them were pretty similar. The guy that lived in the house was 57 years old and unfortunately was inside when the house went up.
I am going to drive by the house later today and take some pictures (if I can). I will upload a couple later tonight, so keep your eyes peeled if this interests you. There isn't anything left of the house from what I could see, just small pieces all piled up.

DOS Gaming?
Posted 12 years agoI have a few old (read: really old) DOS based games and I wanted to know if anyone knows how to get them to play on my 64 bit PC. One of the games that I am trying to get to run is "Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame." I have the "Prince of Persia Collection Limited Edition," which came with the first and second games. When I pop it into my computer, it tells me that I can't run it. I know Windows 7 has a compatibility mode, but I can't remember how to make it work. I don't care if I have to download another program to run it, I just wanted to get it to run.
I've found a few sites that mention playing old school DOS based games, but none of them seem to work.

that day, in december, when your christmas card came in the mail....meant more to me than i realized. this was the first time in 37 years my mom ignored me for christmas as she did not send me a card. she apparently decided to disown me this year for being gay. not to sound mushy or like a stalker or anything...but i wanted you to know that that 45ยข stamp made a bigger difference in someone else's life than your probably realized or intended. Thank you Wolfe...I will try to be here for you if you ever need a friend to chat with or a shoulder to cry on.

The fact that something so small could mean so much to someone. That is why I enjoy sending out Christmas cards. As long as at least one of those cards could mean something so special to someone, it was well worth it.
