Trying to find a comic
General | Posted 10 years agoDoes it ring a bell to anyone
a comic, drawn in a unique way. It was about a very large elephant kinda creature, a posh sorta dressed one, male. And a small female fluffy creature. It was a comic about two people signing to to some sort of sexual experience and hooking up in a hotel room. they'd both signed up for some size difference fun or something.
Anyone know what im talking about? Im interested in finding out who the artist was.
thanks

More PS4...
General | Posted 12 years agoDoes anyone else have a PS4 yet?
I bought mine when I could afford it and under the belief that others where getting one when I asked on Twitter, now I have one no one else seems to have one yet XD
Starting to regret it a bit as I have nothing to play and no one to play with!
I expect the next few months to be fun though, I'm really looking forward to the new Alien game, 1886 and Destiny just to name a few!
Until then I guess I will continue to use it as an expensive blu ray player and Netflix streamer :3

Minor Lonely Christmas Rant
General | Posted 12 years agoTaking this down because people have done exactly what I explain in it for them not to do.
People have made it about themselves on an individual basis when the post was not about others, it was about me, not you and your thoughts on whatever relationship the two of us have, or that you want to have. It was about me and my feelings.
If anything it just proves a minor point I made in the post.
Nevermind.

General | Posted 13 years agoI don't often ask for help but I find myself really in need of it at the moment.
I'm filling out a somewhat live changing form at the moment, and I've hit a bit of a snag.
I need to be able to put down a number of people on it for references about myself. What I'm hung up on however is these references can NOT be previous employers, they can NOT be related to me in any way, they can NOT be police officers (Which means I can not use ANY of my co-workers) and they have to have known me for three years.
I'm looking for legit people who have known me for some time, I'm not looking for people to make stuff up. I know a number of people watch me who I know in real life and this is aimed at you.
So if any of you read this, and are interested in being one, would you mind contacting me please and I will explain in more detail.
I know I don't have many friends, and times like this I really can feel that. Hopefully a call out will help me on a number of levels.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sheffield Furmeet
General | Posted 13 years agoHad a great time at the Sheffield furmeet at the weekend.
Didn't spend too much time at the actual meet, there was Nandos though which is always Mmmm!
Epic time afterwards thought for the furmeet after party and house warming party at our new house. I think that now means that myself,
panzardragon and
zellogi have officially moved in!
Too many people came for them all to be named! But that you all for coming, it was a great night and we should do it again some time soon!

Mass Effect 3 Engineer (No Spoilers)
General | Posted 14 years agoI just wanted to say something on behalf of Mass Effect engineers.
I played ME1 and 2 as a soldier at first, and I enjoyed the games. I then went back and redid 1 as an engineer. It made the game completely different to me, not just another run and gun, explosions and shooting. Especially on insanity mode, me with my hand gun and my tech, the game was fucking brilliant locking down fights, stripping defences, setting up tactics.
Come ME2, engineers got dumbed down a bit, made more simple, but the game was still fun, but it became more shooty.
Now playing ME3... I don't feel like an engineer. I'm able to carry an assault rifle and pistol and still have 200% cool down, my tech abilities don't feel as useful as they once did, and the universal cool down which means I have to wait between abilities just... makes me HAVE to shoot. Gone are the days of me hiding, with my pistol and my tech.
I'm sure a lot of you will suggest leaving the assault rifle behind, which I've tried. But due to that cool down that is forced after each tech, I find myself shooting to keep the enemies back. They push far too much, no fun gun fights. Combats too fast now. I'd rather all my tech have individual cool downs.
Mass Effect 1 Engineer was the best experience I've had in a game for a long time. Its upsetting that it didn't get carried through in a similar way to ME3. I felt I filled a specific fun role. In 2 and 3... I'm just a weaker soldier who yes has tech, but its no where near as useful and more importantly... defiantly isn't as fun and interesting now as it once was.

Skyrim Question
General | Posted 14 years agoIn Skyrim...
If your using conjured weapons... Does leveling up conjuration increase their damage? If not I'll never be able to conjure a weapon that is stronger than my Ebony Blade?
Also, its all very well and good having a conjured weapon that auto soul traps, but if your using conjured weapons you cant enchant them to other than to enchant armor, once, because its passive on armor.. whats the point in using conjured weapons frequently?
Ta ^^

Skyrim!
General | Posted 14 years agoReally enjoying Skyrim so far, don't worry I'm not going to say any spoilers!
Made a Nord and I'm going for a paladin build! One handed weapons, heavy armour, shield, restoration and a lil smithing on the side!
Now that I've started decapitating enemies its gotten more fun!
I really like how the shield and blocking system works. Shield bashing to interrupt spells and power attacks to follow up with a smack to the chops is very satisfying!
One thing I'm not getting my head around though is a perk in heavy armour called "Fists of Steel" which reads something along the lines of "Unarmed attacks when wearing heavy armoured gauntlets add their armour rating as damage" Now my current sword does 30 damage, my gloves have a armour rating of 35... yet my sword does more damage. I can't find any information online about it, oh well. I'll just have to punch stuff more to find out!

New Law!
General | Posted 14 years agoI fear I must inform everyone of an oldish law that people seem to be oblivious too. This is your final warning. You will not be reminded again.
Section 1(A) of The Offences Against Giant Wolves Act 1985 states: Any person who consumes poultry within eye line of the giant wolf, or through actions, reckless or otherwise allows it to be known to the giant wolf that poultry has been consumed by another other than him, commits a criminal offence punishable by consumption.
Therefore the all poultry will be seized and consumed by the giant wolf under section 1 and 32 of PACE and section 23(2) of the Misuse of Drugs & Poultry Act 1971.
Harbouring repeat offenders will not be tolerated and suspects as such will be charged under Section 1(A).

Gears of War 3
General | Posted 14 years agoSo I got GoW 3
So far I'm enraged at the multilayer, specificly the horde mode. I enjoy the horde mode, it goes on for 50 waves. Yet when I play online people tend to leave after 10, and as far as I can see, every time you want to play, you have to start from wave 1. I remember in GoW2 it saved every 10 waves and you could start there, why can't I do that on this, am I doomed to play the same 10 waves over and over again D: I wanna build up some pretty ace bases ;.;
Huff Puff!

A Change
General | Posted 14 years agoA very short journal to move the other one off the main page of my FA.
Rest in Peace Beryl Archer
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm writing this journal for two reasons. One so that I can put everything down, run it threw my head one more time to help me accept it, and two because I've been asked a few times already if I want to talk about it with friends. To be honest, obviously I do, but thinking of the details every time is very upsetting. Thus I'm going to explain here what's happened.
To give anyone a heads up who might be sensitive to this subject, I'm about to talk about the sudden death of a family member.
----
It is believe that on Sunday night or Monday morning, my mum had a brain aneurysm which suddenly burst. She was on her own in her flat at the time but she was found within the hour as she has close family where she lives. She was taken to Liverpool Royal Hospital where they did a scan and uncovered that she had a "Large acute intracerebrall bleed of the right frontal parietal lobe resulting in extensive swelling and a 16mm midline shift." She was placed on a ventilator to assist her breathing and I was called, arriving about 2 hours later.
The nurses and doctors informed me what had happened, they did a wonderful job of being delicate but accurate and making clear that she was never going to recover from this, she was never going to even wake up. She was completely unresponsive to all involuntary stimulations such as blinking, eyes responding to like etc. Her only response was a slight couch from time to time from the ventilator. As the night went on that couch became slower, fewer and eventually stopped.
The next morning this was explained to me and I was told the doctors where doing a few last tests to raise their 99.9% diagnosis to 100%. She scored a 3 out of 15 on the Glasgow Coma Scale, if you look that up you'll see that it confirms brain death. She was declared dead at 19:11 on Tuesday 3rd May 2011. At which point, being the closes blood relative there I had to make some decisions including turning the machine off.
----
Obviously I am deeply upset, my mum and I didn't speak for a very long time but we recently began speaking again. She was up to date on all my latest good news and vice versa, so I have no regrets or anything that I wish I had told her. I feel very lucky in that way and am glad this happened the way they did. She taught me how to love and care for friends and family, how to express it. She'll always be in my heart, and she'll always have my love.
I've never had a dead in the family before, obviously no one as close as a parent. I was lucky to have had already spoken to my mum on the phone a few days before, where we got everything out in the open and shared our feelings. If that conversation hadn't have taken place I would have never had the chance to speak to her again. My advice would be, don't leave things unsaid to family and friends, tell people you care for them. Especially your family, you never know.
So on that note, to all my friends. I care about you all and think about you all more than you might believe, even the ones who might not think we're that close. I'll always try my best to be here for you all in any way I can.
Take care you guys. Be safe and today, tell someone you love that you love them.

Very bored.
General | Posted 14 years agoI got very very bored today, so a friend and i entertained ourselves, laughing in hysterics for about thirty minutes using only a camera, 2 googly eyes and my penis. I strongly suggest everyone give this a go at some point, the more of you the more hilarious it is. Guaranteed to brighten your day or.. er.. or I'll owe you a cuddle ^^
CoD: Black Ops - Mini Review (No Spoilers)
General | Posted 15 years agoUnfortunately this felt like one of those games the developers though "We can make a really good multilayer game, that everyone will complain about but that wont stop them buying it and playing it. However we HAVE to have a single player story mode... so lets knock that story up in 15 minutes over our lunch"
The multilayer is fun I admit, my only issues are with lag. Mainly the "I shot him 5 times in the back, yet he still managed to turn around, shoot me once in the ankle and kill me" problem. Though I tend to get around that by playing on Hardcore Multilayer where one shot kills. This leads to mass camping however which cancels out the fun of Hardcore mode. 8 people all prone in corners waiting makes for a very long slow game.
The story I predicted from the second or third mission, and then had this prediction reinforced and rubbed in my face multiple times throughout the rest of the game.
I'm still yet to play it threw on Veteran. I enjoy playing COD games on Veteran, but never on the first time through as I like to explore and not feel too pressured for time or ammo my first play through. Only exception being Fallout: New Vegas which I'm playing on Hardcore mode from the start! I also know Fallout: NV came out before Fable 3 and CoD:BO yet I've not said anything about it, this is because I'm still playing it! S'good and keeping me entertained with all the missions and side quests despite all of its bugs. Expect a mini review soon when I finish it.

Fable 3 - Mini Review (No Spoilers)
General | Posted 15 years agoWELL Since I play a lot of games and I tend to always talk about them to my real life friends, I though I'd start saying a few words on-line.
SO, Fable III...
Finished it yesterday, played a fully good character. It was quite enjoyable, with some interesting choices to make. It kept me entertained for a while and I did like hitting things with a massive blue hammer, plus there is a suit of armour in the game that you can buy from the cloth shop! I know a lot of people really wanted armour in I and II. It offers no protection as you'd expect but it does look pretty, especially dyed blue ^^
Melee is fun if you want to play the game with a bit of a challenge, if you want to zoom threw magic and ranged seem to be the over powered ways! But it was an easy game, there is an achievement for completing the game with out being knocked down, which I got first time.
My only gripe is that it doesn't feel as long as the other Fables. However I'm getting that feeling from a lot of games recently. Don't know if its just me, but games seem to be getting.. prettier yes, but also shorter and more shallow.

General | Posted 15 years agoNo Spoilers!
Have I actually broken the game?! I'm at a point, fairly close to the start, where I have assassins coming after me. This happened in Fallout 3 so that shouldn't be anything new. However, these guys are hardcore! Shooting them with bullets, energy weapons, laying mines, throwing grenades. All does bugger all, even using armour penetrating bullets and pulling out all the stops! I latterly can not kill a single one, or drop their health less than half before I am utterly, totally and completely raped!
So I though, "I know, Since I cant fight them I'm obviously not ready for it yet, so I'll run away!" So I did. THEN the same group follows me into my "safe" down place, with guards patrolling etc. One shots all of them, some of them I had quests for so that made me fail about 3 quests, then come up to me and do the same.
I've even dropped the game to VERY EASY and I still get my ass handed to me. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm a character focusing on explosives and energy weapons, and I have a good stock of both. Everything else up to this point I've managed to down easily, even Deathclaws I could kill before they got within melee range. Seriously, this is stopping me from playing the game!
Along with the spazzy aiming, flailing gun/arms bug. Really.... falling out with fallout! D:

Halo: Reach - The Tilt Skull
General | Posted 15 years agoThis is driving me mad, so I ask everyone out there who has any knowledge of Halo.
What does the Tilt skull in HALO REACH (not halo 3) actually do?
Im finding contradicting information all over the internet. In the book and the game it says "Modified damage tables" HOW ARE THEY MODIFIED, in the book it says "armor and shields exchange property"
However the internet and people I have asked are all saying different things. That it does make shields and armour exchange properties. Ive been told it makes human weapons useless and plasma weapons twice as powerful to everything. Ive been told it makes bullets good vs shields, plasma good vs armor, and that it makes plasma twice as good vs shields and bullets twice as good vs armor.
Can someone please explain to me, who knows for a fact what it does, what it does?! Give me an example vs an Elite
IE
Normally, when I soloed Legendary I would run about with a little plasma pistol, one charged shot would remove the shields of an elite, then i would head shot them with the DMR. Job done.
Would tilt make me want to shoot off the shield with the DMR, then a charged plasma pistol shot would one shot them?
Thanks to all those who take the time to explain.
