Finally one person accepted me for an appartment with our three cats. Only point is that we will need to fill the credit report so she can knows if we are fine for the rent or not. Will cross our fingers.
The conflict with the person about my refund policy is still not yet cleared. Tried a last offer, if she rejects, she simply get nothing at all. She will perhaps whines about it or try to do like I am the one who is wrong in that situation... I apologize early to everybody if it happens and no worry, no I'm not a stealer and it is the very first time I got a bad situation about fursuit making.

So much death...

My grandfather died of a medical error 1 year ago, in October. I didn't spoke much about it, this is still quite painful for me. He was in good shapes, he was in very good condition, no alzheimer or anything like that that old persons often have... And now, my uncle have an advanced lung cancer, in terminal stade. He never smoked, ever, he's probably just very unlucky. He'll die between 6 months to 1 year by now, could be less or more, always hard to tell. I want to visit him as soon as possible, but he lives in Montreal... the place where I'll move only in 2 or 3 months. I don't own a car and can't do the 11 hours drive to go to see him. Why should I always be too far to see my relatives? They keep dying one after the other, far away from me...

I have lot of fur in stock, mainly that I have used some part of, but still have plenty leftover and wide usable part. Sometimes even over a whole continue yard. Several colors. Ask me if you're looking for anything specific, but I only own DF fur, known as Luxury shag. I have as well real rooster feathers (some dyed, some not), real african grey parrots feather (those handpicked, it is 100% cruelty-free, coming from natural feather shedding) and some fake feathers with funky colors. Resin claws, silicone tongue and some other suppleis leftover I have never used.
On request I can get you cornsnake WHOLE skin. Mine always shed in one piece and she is close to shed at the moment, a matter of few days. I usually throw the shed, but it is really beautiful and could be a treasure for someone :) You'll need to ask for it before she shed. I'm willing to let it go freely, as long you pay shipping. It is your duty to make sure you can own a snakeskin.

No more custom commission?

I am thinking of not doing anymore custom commissions... I do like a lot doing them actually! But anytime, when people withdraw, they're too narrow minded to understand that first payment is not refundable and that supplies can cost quite a lot. I do offer to send part of supplies when already buy (just shipping is an extra), but sometimes people still whine. I just can't stand it. Like come on? It is written everywhere in my policy, on FA and on my website! And I'm not the only fursuit maker, every fursuit makers or so have non-refundable downpayment. This is nothing new and when people commission, they should know that. Ignorance is not an excuse for being rude and saying I'm a stealer just because you are not aware of supplies cost.

I'll sadly have to cancel the con I wanted to go in the end of May (What the Fur). Yet I can't get enough and will have to pass this time. I'll still save up for a late con, Midwest Fur Fest in December :) It gives me more time to save my money.
I have started to work on karmma's suit, while waiting to get the last supplies.

Moving, conclusion + Premade

We will officially move to Montreal by July 1rst. We will need to find a job at first to confirm our capacity to pay the appartment (required by the owner, not our choice thought). Even with credit proof, bank proof and parental back-up (in case of no payment, my parents is willing to help), they don't care. Very picky they are :P But, if we succeed finding a job in that area, we will be fine for the appartment, which allow ours animals and is affordable. No colocation, so no worry of being harassed like at the moment.
While waiting to ge the last supplies for karmma's suit, I'm working on a partial fursuit premade of an Undead Horse. I should be quickly able to auction it. Money will go partially to help me go to a con in Montreal, and part will be saved for my moving in July.

Hoping to move away - Advices??

My rant finish officially July 1rst, so I must go away of my actual appartment at the end of June. Yet, my husband and me aren't totally sure of what we'll be doing. Our appartment was decent, for a matter of price and size, but we hate living at the third floor of a no-elevator building with bad owner (whine for nothing, complain about our animals, obligated me to get rid of my royal python in ridiculous short time, etc). We're totally going away from there, but we can't know yet where... we're not even sure to stay in the same town at all. Most of our friends are like us, living here just because of their studies. We know they'll eventually think of going away, like us. That town is really small and have not much perspective for the future, not much job availables, too much young students VS qualified employees, etc. We wanted to rant an house early this year (January), but we had to cancel due to our flatmate not allowing us to leave. We lost the priority on the house and somebody took it, we should know soon if they'll leave for July or not. IF they do go away before July 1rst, we'll take the place and stay one more year right in that small town. Staying with our friends, with the little stability we could have for the moment. If they keep it (and we are without option), we'll probably move much far away, in one of the nearest big town -either 5h30 or 11h drive from there. More likely to be the furthest one... I'll be away from my family, more away than I even lived yet in the past 4 years (I'm only 20 after all, moved 1h30 away from home for my studies which will end in May). Thought, I will be less than 2h drive from the US border (near Plattsburgh, New York). Which is not bad considering it'll increase my chance of going to US con and such. But yeah, I'm pretty confuse with everything... moving away at the end of our rant will leave us nearly broke ('til we got a job there), bills are higher in that city, our friends will not follow for sure and I'll be away from my family. I don't have a car so driving to see them isn't an option. Of course, I'll be with my husband and our kitties, but it'll be hard for us to find a good appartment or house, big enough, cheap enough AND that allow several kitties + a snake.

I have ordered a bodysuit for my fursona (the lich werewolf, Najawarie). Crystumes did the partial, but the bodysuit I am getting it from another maker. So far, my last message from them was two MONTHS ago telling me they were "soon" working on it. So far, no news. I didn't harassed, I know it takes time, but a lot of fursuit were posted by the meanwhile. They doesn't answer to me and they doesn't seems to have started my bodysuit at all. I kindly asked if it was soon to be worked, no answer. Way later, I told them about the fact I will move soon and will need it for a certain time, still no news. I do have made full payment already.
Is there anything to do? Is it supposed to be normal?

I just want to let people know that shipping is never included in my fursuit commission. It'll always have to be paid at the end of the making. Fact is that I cannot know what size the box will have, how much it'll weight, etc. That way, it is safier for everybody to be patient. Nobody win or lost on shipping cost.

I feel like I have taken too much time already :( And the tongue is still not there, but should hopefully be there within the next week! Terms of Sales (Updated)
Posted 11 years agoThere is nothing really new, but seems people didn't paid attention to them, so here are they!
I have made them easier to follow than the previous ones, but all points are the same.
Payment
I prefer full payment upfront, as it is easier to keep track of who paid and when. Despite that, I do accept payment plans as long the delay of paying is reasonnable. Shipping is always paid at the end and not included.
Refund
I DON'T do refund, unless the suit is not yet started. In that case, we'll have to discuss about it, depending how much you have sent and if I have invested that into supplies for your suit or not. Soon the partial suit is sent to you, no refund is available. It's not that I want to "steal" you or anything, but I'm way underpaid already, refunding is not an option for such low prices as I will have to take that money from my own money. If you are unsatisfied by something, I offer to fix it, but you have to pay shipping to me, and shipping back to you.
Harm
I'm not at all responsible if you hurt yourself using a suit made by me. I do make them as safe as possible, but if you don't pay attention to your restricted vision, you could hurt yourself or people around you. Having an handler to help you is always a good idea and can avoid any bad situation.
Outsource parts
Even if I do have the supplies to make and cast parts myself, I didn't yet have the time to really work on that. Because of this, I'm outsourcing several parts while making a fursuit; claws, pawpads, resin blanks, full jawset, tongue... I can't be held responsible if there is something wrong with a part, as I didn't make it. Thought, we can find a way to fix any problem that could occured with that. (See Defect part)
Defect
If you feel any part used for the suit is defective (blank, eyes, claws, pawpads, tongue, etc) please let me know about it. Explain me clearly what is wrong with the outsource part and includes a photo of the actual problem. As long you didn't damaged yourself the said part, I will forward it to the part's maker.
Allergy warnings
If you have a severe allergy to animals, I'm sadly letting you know you should not commission me. I have 3 cats, some foster cats above that, and a snake. I'm often in contact with parrots, birds in general, dogs and cats.

Tattoo

I'm getting part of my dragon tattoo fixed tomorrow. Will rip me off, I know, but the tattoo honestly needed to be reworked totally... the first tattooist really did a bad work on it. I'm getting back to my usual tattooist who will fix half of it (or so) tomorrow. Can't wait!
Yes my back will be painful for over a month after that. Nothing good come without something bad XD

We killed a fox :'(

On Saturday, we were wandering in the town in car with one of our friend that has his driver license. We eventually went close to the main road and decided to take a small road trip to go to the nearest town next to the actual town we live in. We did it, it was around 1h15 trip to go there and same time to go back.
On the way back, a wild fox ran in the middle of the highway, if he was running from one side to another, he could have been safe. Our driver braked as he was able, but we were on an highway in the middle of the night... The fox for some reason went back instead of crossing the road... and jumped itself in front of the car. I saw the fox was terrified when he saw the car, then I heard a bump and we hit it... Even if our friend was stopping the car to avoid hitting him, it couldn't been avoided, we were driving too fast (and no, not over the limit! Highway there is around minimum of 80 km/h). What make me quite angry and sad is that he didn't even cared to stop totally to see if the fox was still alive. I swear he couldn't have died on the impact as the car was fairly slowed down. He probably died agonizing or being finishing by another car :(
May he rest in peace, poor fox.

Progress

My tonsillitis is finally gone! I still have three days of antibiotics to take, but any pain is totally gone! BUT, it seems I got flu now -- I'm coughing a lot and have fever, plus my fybromyalgia is worse than ever. Despite of that, I still feel enough good to go back at fursuit work. Still waiting to get the blank for jupiter_fox's commission, but I will start the tail tomorrow anyway! Perhaps handpaws or feetpaws too, I'll see depending if my energy is satisfying to get more than one task done XD
Oh and, I actually bought a lot of stuff for mold making! Pourable silicone, brush-on silicone, plasticine, sulfur-free clay, plaster of Paris and ultracal. I will try making my own mold for pawpads, claws and such! I'd be happy if I can outsource less than I do at the moment. Even though I doesnt feel it's wrong to do so, but still, I'd be proud to offer totally custom made product :) Will see if I can succeed at this. If not, I will probably sell my stuff.

Getting better

The pain is slowly going down every day. I'm now able to "kinda" sleep a few hours at night, about 4 hours. Better than nothing and still help me getting less tired. I want those tonsils goooooooooooone, that is so painful :( I think in 3 days or so I should be able to try starting
jupiter_fox suit, if I recover with the same progression that the past week. I faced the cold weather and went to school todaym to take my packages that was waiting. Got the shoes + hand tracing from Jupiter, beautiful emerald green eyes + black claws for the suit and still waiting to get the horse blank I ordered before Christmas. Should be a matter of few days to get it :) Bought some air dry clay to make the custom jawset too.I am CLOSED for fursuit commission, except if it is small parts or long-term deadline (April and further). It is until I finish at least 2 suits out of my to-do list. Small pieces is still open, like tails or handpaws.

I'm back from my family home and have access to all my fursuit making stuff. Sadly, it seems I have a tonsillitis or something like that. It hurts so much, I cannot swallow without suffering D: I'm quite forced to take a break until I feel better. I cannot sleep because of the pain and I lack of energy. Soon it'll be better, Ill start making

Standard partial suit commission cost in average 300-450$, price depends on how complex and if you want expensive (but pretty!) features such as silicone pawpads, resin claws, etc.
I am looking for Ultracal (at least 10lbs, over is even more awesome!) and for a lifesize mannequin head (like from MonsterMaker - which doesnt ship to Canada). I can either buy, give discount on fursuit commission or trade for fursuit parts (mainly tail and/or ears on headband).
In January I will officially close partial commission until I have done everything on my to-do list, though I will accept pieces here and there... like tail, handpaws, feetpaws, etc.

Artistic freedom suit available for 200$ each, excludes expensive features (pawpads, full jawset, silicone tongue, etc). I choose whatever I want to do, but you'll have choice between at least 3 designs. Only ONE still available and must be paid in full upfront!

I accept commissions for 2014 deadline (I usually make one or two fursuits a month), if you want to grab your spot quickly :) I will hardly ever accept fullsuit commission, exception is plantigrade single color fullsuit (well... as long bodysuit is single color).

Back from my wedding and schedule for the next days
Posted 12 years agoI am back from my wedding! Me and my husband 
thiocan spent great time with my family and our friends! It was a costumed Halloween civilian wedding. We plan in a year or two to make a viking gothic ceremonial one. We were just too short in delay to plan more than a civil one and still was very nice the way we made it! Our wedding cake was a coffin with a picture of us from our first Halloween together, 3 years ago. We got some nice gifts and I admit I was surprised by how nice was "some" members of my family... the ones that I hardly go visit because in the past they makes me suffer a lot, physically and mentally. (No pre-judgement please, I never had automutilated, NEVER). I'll upload one or two pictures later, I am waiting to get some good quality ones.
Another note, here is my week schedule:
(this is in the best case, unforeseen events can push things on my schedule)
Sunday => Finishing onyx_alpha_wolf's head and starting (and finishing if possible) his feetpaws, wedding gift shopping
Monday => Online help, small trip to a near village, homeworks
Tuesday => Classes for the whole day
Wednesday => Class on the morning, finishing onyx_alpha_wolf legsleeves and starting his handpaws
Thursday => Finishing onyx_alpha_wolf handpaws, finishing homeworks
Friday => Classes the whole day
Saturday => Finishing anything needed on onyx_alpha_wolf's fursuit
