Don't leave FA
Posted 9 years agoC'mon, guys. We can't let something like this set us back. I'm pissed as hell some of my stuff got deleted, too. But I'm getting back on the horse.
They knock my wall down, I'll build 'em back higher and better than before.
Guys, don't leave FA cuz of this.
Besides, it took me weeks to set myself up to get coms here. I don't wanna do that again on other sites. ^^
I ain't leaving FA anytime soon, guys. Don't take the easy way out.

Need a Califur roommate
Posted 9 years agoHere's the situation: A potential roommate had to do something suddenly, so he ain't going. Don't know if any other of his roommates are still going, but keeping options open.
I managed to book a room... but due to the lateness, it's only for ONE NIGHT, Friday night.
I'm able to cancel till June 2nd.
So, the delema is: FOR ANYBODY GOING TO CALIFUR, I NEED TO BUNK WITH SOMEONE, PREFERABLY NON-SMOKING JUST FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS. BUT IF POSSIBLE, JUST FOR SATURDAY NIGHT.
I CAN PITCH IN CLOSE TO $200, BUT PLEASE, I'M DESPERATE HERE, GUYS!

In a bit of a pickle

Wolfespada Star Wars Reviews - A New Hope
Posted 9 years agoWhat's going on my Jedi Masters and Sith Lords, it's high time we resume the Star Wars reviews.
Well, finally saw the new Rogue One trailer for this Christmas' release, and even though it's a midquel, I think it's gonna be pretty interesting. Of course, the assholes are complaining about the main female lead, and how she's gonna be another Mary Sue, blah blah blah, you're wrong, you're always gonna be wrong, Star Wars ain't a boys only club, so get the hell over yourselves.
I wanted to do this on May 4th, but I had the MCU Marathon, and boy was it worth it. So here's A New Hope:
Pro: the opening shot is STILL the best, and it holds to this day. It tells everybody exactly what the Empire and Rebellion are without any words at all, just that huge-ass ship is enough. It sucks you right in. Now Plinkett joked that it was so genius he feels that Lucas wasn't involved with it at all. But I digress.
Pro: What's not to like about any one character in this movie? All were awesome, we see their friendships and dynamics grow through out this movie and the next two.
Pro: I like how it was a coming of age story for Luke; from farm-boy to hero ^^
Pro: THAT SANDCRAWLER IS FRICKIN' AWESOME!
What I said about the Owen and C3P-O thing back in my Attack of the Clones review happens here. I don't blame the scene, just Lucas for not actually rewatching the bloody thing and putting two brain cells together to work around this. Same thing when Obi-Wan meets R2-D2 for thew first time in decades.
Pro: Mos Eisley. Now I'm not one of those 'Special Edition' haters. I don't mind showing more of the city. Yeah shoving so much CGI is one of the things that makes the prequel trilogy so infamous, but here it's done tastefully.
Jesus Christ, you will NOT believe how many paddles that read "Han Shot First" I saw at a Con one time. WE GET IT GOD DAMMIT, MOVE ON ALREADY!
Pro: Breaking into the Death Star was pretty fun.
Con: Why put a control console so precariously that you're likely to fall?! Seriously, what the hell is it with filmmakers and heights?!
The actors spent 3 days in that chamber set, just constantly wet. I can't imagine the outtakes from that. Plus that scene with that Star Wars Special of Phineus and Ferb makes it even funnier. ^^
Of course, looking at old Obi fighting Vader, no way it matches from the Obi/Anakin fight from ROTS. Hell, I'm surprised Vader didn't scream out, "THIS IS FOR LEAVING ME TO BURN" But I don't think of the prequels as canon. Yeah, I'm living in denial, but after my scathing reviews on the prequels, can you blame me?
Pro: Still love the TIE Fighter attack scene, though I'm still baffled how those gunnery chairs work without Luke or Han falling off.
Pro: The X-Wing still remains one of my favorite ships of all time.
For any Thunderbird fans out there, one tech that was helping load R2 was Shane Brimmer, voice of Scott Tracy ^^
Pro: Still love the Rebels' attack on the Death Star, but poor Porkins, and Biggs.
Con: When Wedge pulled away, he coulda just, y'know, got behind Vader and the other TIEs, but Han saved them ^^
WHERE THE HELL DID THAT OTHER Y-WING COME FROM?! There was only THREE when the attack started.
Con: NO MEDAL FOR THE WOOKIE?!?!?! YOU GUYS ARE SPECIEISTS!!!!!!!!
Pro: I loved how Obi was helping Luke on the inner, and Han assisting in the end. I just melded so well.
Of course, we all know that Yavin base is gonna get destroyed, which is a bummer to me, I like that base.
So yeah, that's A New Hope, and it still remains the best Star Wars film since 1977. Then again, I love the original trilogy all equally. Quadrilogy now including The Force Awakens. Don't like that? Don't care. Suck it!
Well, till next time. May the Force be with you.
Thanks for your time, by the way, I want that T-16 sill in Luke's garage!

My thoughts on Captain America: Civil War
Posted 9 years agoIT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When they said it was a remedy for Batman vs Superman... boy was it! But I didn't wanna say anything, fearing I would jinx it. But I can say this without hesitation, remorse, or irony, that all 3 Captain America films, and I mean ALL OF THEM, are awesome. They even blow the Nolan Batman films out of the water. It's an awesome trilogy.
I ain't gonna spoil nothing. Guys, go see it. ^^
It heart, and you bet your ASS-teroids I'm a-gonna get it on DVD >:3

Wolfespada MCU Review - Ant-Man
Posted 9 years agoTOP OF THE MORNING TO ALL YOU LOVELY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
Well... today's the day to declare war in the MCU, everybody. I'm all fired up and ready for it with my buds. But I wasn't going to do it without talking about the last one:
ANT-MAN
I'm sure many people would know that I never liked Ant-Man in the beginning, always thought he was a wiener. But in particular, I never quite like Hank Pym in the comics; thought he was gonna be beating on his wife. But that's the Ultimate's line. So yeah, we've been hearing loads of news, including Edgar Wright leaving.
Originally Ant-Man and Wasp WERE GOING to be part of Phase 1, but Edgar Wright just kept screwing around, doing other stuff. So when time came, Marvel wasn't interested in him anymore. The whined like a baby when they were gonna tie him in with the rest of the MCU. 1) Wright is an unprofessional, arrogant asshole for doing this. 2)He owes them a major apology after the success of this film, unless he already did it.
Yeah, I was blown away by this, same way I was blown away with Guardians of the Galaxy. They took their D-listers and turned them into something awesome, while DC and WB continue to struggle with Batman and Superman.
Pro: I liked the way they CGed up a young Hank Pym.
Pro: I love the dynamic of Scott Lang and wanting to see his little girl. That doesn't happen a lot when it comes to comic stories, and when it does, they'll ass-pull something to kill that off.
Pro: Scott Lang was just a fun character. Everyone dissed Paul Rudd how his comedy will ruin the movie, and how they were gonna probably have all he characters from Anchorman cracking jokes. Well the jokes on all you, suckers! Do you just like eating crow that much? Does it taste good with A-1?
Pro: Luis, Dave and Kurt were just so much fun. Micheal Pena just stole the show
Funny how Hank mentioned second chances, since Michael Douglass years ago had throat cancer.
Pro: I loved how this was a torch-passing movie from Hank Pym to Scott Lang.
Pro: Hope Van Dyne was just awesome, and I cannot wait to see her as the Wasp.
Pro: Before seeing this movie, watched a lot of documentaries about ants, and guys.... don't mess with them. AND THOSE CRAZY ANTS ARE JUST SO CUUUUUUUUUUTE!!!!!! >u<
Pro: Some morons felt putting Falcon in was forced. No it wasn't, and I like how they tied it in with Civil War.
Pro: The whole heist was just really cool, I like the way they set it up.
Con: ANT-TONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, I felt more for Ant-tony dying than Superman.
Pro: I always knew Thomas the Tank Engine was always a badass, and this movie showed it. CINDERS AND ASHES!
Pro: the implosion of Yellow Jacket is the 2nd awesome MCU villain death, right up with Ronan's death.
Well, I think that's pretty much it. I got no real qualms about this movie, explain the Pym Particle a bit more, but otherwise, this movie was, and still is, solid.
Well, that concludes my takes on all the MCU films, now I'm off to see Civil War and give you guys my take on it. I might do reviews of Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter and Daredevil later down the road. We'll see. I love the shows. But till then:
IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL!

Wolfespada MCU Review - Avengers: Age of Ultron
Posted 9 years agoNamaste, dudes and dudettes. Uuuugh, 3 more days to go! But hearing tons and tons of good things about Civil War, and how it's a cure to BvS. That I DO believe.
But we're here to talk about the chain of events that lead up to Civil War, and that is:
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
Now I've given my review here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6719672/, and touched on the crap people still complain about.
Now for some this movie's polarizing, and somehow a disappointment, a LOT of common complaints are about how this movie's not dark enough, and how it shoulda been as dark as 'The Dark Knight.' SCREW YOU! That's not valid a complaint. Hell if Snyder directed this, you'd have that dumbass wish, and he'd somehow have Ultron rape Black Widow when she was captive. I'm not far off with that, he says in this article here: http://www.vox.com/2016/5/2/1156593.....justice-league, he would have a prison-rape scene if he directed Nolan's Batman trilogy. Now he said 'could of', but considering he doesn't think superheroes in costumes talking to each other don't pose legitimate coolness and wanting to kill Jimmy Olsen for 'fun'... WB... you NUKED yourself AGAIN keeping him on.
Having darkness just for shits and giggles, and the for the sake of it isn't the way to go. And I'm here to talk about I love it as it is. As always we'll look at the pros, cons and the What Should Have Happened (W.S.H.H.)
Pro: Love the opening, really gets things going. Now people complained about how they got back together, well if you watched the one episode of Agents of SHIELD, we see Coulson getting the location of the Hydra Sokovia base and calls the Avengers in.
This isn't so much a con, but I kinda woulda liked to have seen more of Baron Strucker, but they avoided a Spider-man 3 by not having too many main boss villains. Still, woulda liked to see him at least in one episode of SHIELD.
SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE HELL'S WITH CAPTAIN AMERICA AND DESTROYING HIS MOTORCYCLES!?!?
Pro: Loved Scarlet Witch and how she played up Tony's mind to give into his fear, which was the point of it all. Just for revenge, but it had consequences as we saw here, and it lead up to her joining the Avengers.
Pro: Loved that War Machine was in this. Definitely love Maria Hill and Nick Fury's parts in this.
Pro: People STILL complain how Banner/Widow romance is dull, I wholeheartedly disagree. We see subtle hints of them in the first Avengers, and I saw a bit of a connection. Remember this ain't the comic universe, so I don't wanna hear, 'But he's suppose to get with Betty!' I don't care! And people love to misinterpenetrate that Widow's a monster cuz she's baron, no, it's cuz she use to be a killer, dumbasses!
Pro: People bitch about how jokey Ultron is. People, he was made by Stark. Look at Lord Zedd, he got jokey in his tenure later down the road, but he was still menacing and evil. Ultron was a sick and sadistic platinum bastard, and the humor for him was subtle, and it added a definite creepiness to him. That, plus James Spader's voice for him was equally as creepy. "But Hank Pym's suppose to make Ultron!" He's a physicist, it doesn't make sense to me, plus it makes more sense for Stark to do it.
Pro: Andy Serkis, you are the man! Loved his intro for Klaw and how it'll tie in with Black Panther and the Vibranium. I know a good Automail mechanic, bro.
Pro: Deliberate or not, glad Marvel Studios took into account of the destruction in Man of Steel with the Hulkbuster fight. Yeah, Tony was trying to get Hulk OUT OF THE CITY, like Supes shoulda done with Zodd. Hey, the Hulkbuster fight was bound to happen eventually, and glad it did. Now if only we could get a Hulk vs Thing match to happen on the big screen.
Already talked about Hawkeye's family and how I like that.
Con: Do wish they explained that pool a little more with Thor, but we get to learn more about the Infinity Stones, and I knew that staff had to be a Stone. That's really my only complaint in the movie.
Pro: Vision is so FREAKING COOL! Paul Bettany's voice as JARVIS I love, and I knew somewhere down the line when they announced Vision for the film, he was be him, and boy was I glad to be right. ^^ Can't wait to see the romance with him and Scarlet Witch.
Now people compare the Quicksilvers of both this and for FOX's X-Men, but I do like them both and I'm kinda glad Quicksilver's gonna be in Apocalypse... though they spoiled the family lineage, but who cares. Anyway, I kinda hoped they saved Pietro, but it was a good sacrifice scene, and it lead up to Wanda joining.
Like I said, having darkness for the sake of darkness is a horrible idea, and some idiots say that they shoulda shown people dying, and the Avengers unable to save them. If you were to say that in front of my face, I would not hesitate in punching your face for that idiocy. THEY'RE SUPERHEROES, YOU IDIOT!
So yeah, this movie rocks. I love this movie as much as the first. People complain that there's too many tie-ins for other future films, but they were organically crafted in. They didn't become a main focus, and it didn't deter from the film itself. Batman vs Superman is a prime example of how NOT TO DO TIE-INS! This movie did what it needed to do for me to like it, and I can't wait to see it again in my MCU marathon I'm doing tomorrow ^^ Also this was the first MCU film to not have an after-credit scene. Though the Thanos mid-credit scene is pretty ominous
Anyway, next time is Ant-Man. Thanks for your time.

A Transformers 'what-if' scenario
Posted 9 years agoWhuzzup, y'all!
This has been a thought to me regarding Transformers for quite a while now, particularly, two certain subgroups of Transformers, the Constructicons and the Dinobots.
Now I've said before I've always been a fan of the Constructicons, it's pretty much the ONLY combiner group I like and seems to work. Despite my dislike of their bright green and purple color-scheme. Sheesh, shoulda been like a menacing bronze color. But I digress, cuz I like Devistator, even his movie look look despite the... wrecking balls. Least it was brief, unlike the dog in Van Wilder. Ugh.
But when you really think about it, the Constructicons seem not at home with the Decepticons. It's noted that the Decpeticons take on vehicles of authority, as part of their primary function and reason they were made as a military force. Now, there was that one episode where the Constructicons were originally Autobots... but it stupidly retconned their origin where Megatron originally made them in a cave. Now, my question is:
WHAT IF THE CONSTRUCTICONS WERE GOOD AND THE DINOBOTS WERE EVIL?
Obviously with the Dinobots, they'd be the Predacons, since I enjoy the Beast Wars version of Megatron a lot more than the G1 version. Take what we had... which was very little... from Predaking from Transformers: Prime and put that into the original Predacons, and have Predaking take over after, like, he kills Megatron himself. Just saying, it woulda been a nifty concept back in '86 for the animated movie. DOn't get me wrong, I love the Dinobots... by that I love Grimlock and Swoop only, but it woulda been cool to see them as baddies.
For the Constructicons, since the Autobots original function were laborers and construction, THEY WOULDA BEEN THE ORIGINAL WRECKERS! How cool would've THAT been? Take the personalities of Grapple and Hoist and put them in these good-guy Constructicons. Long Haul woulda been like Bulkhead from TF: Prime; a big, lovable lug. Hell, it woulda explain QUITE A LOT how the hell Autobot City was made. It just makes sense to me.
I woulda enjoyed G1 a lot more if they'd done this, but it's just my opinion, mainly cuz I love construction vehicles. Still like Transformers, looking forward to the new movie, but I woulda like to go back to 1984 and pitched the idea to Hasbro.
What do you guys think?
Thanks for your time.

Wolfespada MCU Review - Guardians of the Galaxy
Posted 9 years agoTOP OF THE MORNIN' TO YA, ME MARVEL LADS AND LADIES!
You know it's a major feat when Marvel's taken their C to D-list characters and turned them into popular movies. Even a bunch of A-holes, kinda like...
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY!
Man, before the first trailer came out, I didn't know a thing about them. I'm sure 90% of us didn't. Only one I knew was Rocket Racoon cuz he was in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Me and a lot of people were skeptical about this. I didn't think this, but everyone kept calling this 'Marvel's first bomb'... what am I saying? They STILL keep thinking a new MCU film's gonna be its first bomb, and they've eaten crow every damn time. Does crow REALLY taste that good? Lemme know in the comments. But yeah, over time I grew more and more interested in it. Came out of the movie a huge fan.
As per usual, I'm gonna discuss the Pros, Cons and the What Should Have Happened (W.S.H.H.), but there's gonna be very little of that.
Pro: DC morons KEEP ON saying that No character in the MCU have any personal stakes, they don't get hurt, nobody close to them dies. First of all: TAKE NOLAN AND SNYDER'S DICKS AND SHOVE THEM UP YOUR ASS! Second: You're morons. Third: The scene where young Peter Quill's mother dies int he beginning still gets my friend in tears. Yeah, no young kid should ever go through that.
Of course the question that always comes up throughout the movie is why Quill never went back to earth for a visit after the 20 years he's been gone.
Pro: The scene on Morag where we see Quill kicking those things while singing... that's when I knew I was gonna like this guy. Seriously, I want his helmet.
Pro: I actually really liked Ronan the Accuser in this movie. So many people still call the MCU villains horrible. Hopefully they're thinking twice after Lex Eisenluthor and that cave troll cosplaying as Doomsday. But Ronan had clear goals, and he was a threat even before he got that stone. I especially liked Nebula and I hope we see more of her in the sequel.
Con: Shame though we couldn't get mention more of the Kree Emperor. And for those who don't know, the Kree Emperor, the Supreme Intelligence, is a huge head in a jar, kinda like Zordon. But then again, wouldn't want to crowd this thing up with villains.
Con: Though I can forgive that, cuz when we see Thanos, he's just awesome. Really hard to believe Josh Brolin's playing him. See him in 'The Goonies' then think, there's future Thanos. Heck, Brolin was BORN to play young K in Men in Black 3. Funny how Thanos looks like he just popped out of the comics, yet Apocalypse still looks like Ivan Ooze to me. It was definitely the lighting when I first saw the pic, but it's grown on me.
Pro: Gamora was just awesome! Funny how I think Zoe Saldana looks much better green than blue. You know what I'm talking about.
Pro: Funny how how a humanoid tree and a talking, gun-totting racoon can be more interesting and likable than that stump that was suppose to be Clark Kent, but they were. Very awesome characters. Cool thing about Groot, when you listen at the inflections of his words, you can clearly tell he's saying something. Another fun fact, Vin Diesel voiced Groot in different languages: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xliy6ZZd1Ik
BTW, you won't beleive how many Baby Groot dolls there were at a Con one time XD
Pro: The Kyln escape scene has become one of my favorite prison break scenes. Right up there with Shawshank Redemption ^^
Pro: Drax the Destroyer is the kinda guy you WANNA be friends with. In a shirtless battle between him and Jacob from 'Twilight' who would win?
Pro: Yondu! What else can I say about him? He's just awesome. Just sterr clear when you hear him whistle. The scene with him talking to the Broker in gibberish is now how I ignore crap that sounds like bullcrap.
Pro: Jeez if Knowhere's just the head, can't imagine what the rest of that dude was like.
Pro: Yeah that purple Infinity Stone, the Power Stone's pretty gnarly. And for those who keep calling them McGuffins... they're not! So shut up! Feel bad for that pink girl. Carina.
So many Scifi, pop-culture references from Quill. Different universes, but I want them to team up with either Star Trek or Star Wars. Either one will be awesome.
Trivia: When Sal said the line 'I can't believe I'm taking orders from a hamster', a buddy at Califur showed me pics from the comics where he was mistakenly drawn AS A HAMSTER! XD So now every time I hear that line I'm cracking up
Pro: Love how they all come together to form their team. We learn each one of them, they're likeable, they play off each other, no one feels left out, and don't overshadow each other. Guys, the X-Men films have YET TO DO THIS! So far it's all been about Wolverine, and the rest of the X-Men are just over-glorfied cameos. Hopefully X-Men: Apocalypse can rectify this.
OK, you guys knew I was gonna be talking about this. The Dance-off scene! The one scene that gets everyone's panties in bunches, so I'm gonna make this clear.... IT WAS A DISTRACTION! They tried a direct hit with him with that Hydron Enforcer and that didn't even work. It all fit with Quill's personality, and they had to think of something, and it wasn't like Ronan danced with him. And it worked, they shoot the damn stone and used it to kill him. And might I add, it was probably the most spectacular MCU villain death so far ^^ Compare this with the Martha scene.... yeah, no. Dance-off wins.
Guys, I cannot wait for the sequel. I love these characters, love their dynamic, I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
I definitively had a heart, along with the soundtrack. What were your favorite songs in the the movie? Mine were 'Come and Get Your Love', and of course, 'Hooked on a Feeling,' baby! ^^
Thanks for your time... and I am Groot ^^
BTW, was anyone else flummoxed to see Howard the Duck in the after-credit scene?! Everyone was cracking up on that.

Wolfespada MCU Review - Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Posted 9 years agoCivil War's 2 more weeks, chaps and chapettes! You stoked? I'm stoked.
Stoked enough to be taking about almost everyone's favorite MCU film...
Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Funny enough I've never heard of the Winter Soldier till a buddy of mine told me after we saw the first film back in 2011. As I said before, never read the comics, but when he told me about him and the set up he thought they were doing, his and my predictions were pretty much on the money. ^^
As per the norm, I'll talk about the pros, cons and the 'What Should Have Happened' (W.S.H.H.) Let's enter the battlefield!
Pro: I like how they introduced Sam Wilson A.K.A. Falcon. Falcon's one of my favorite characters; 1) Falcons are one of my favorite birds. 2) He's just an all-around cool dude to hang out with. And how they do with his flight pack was really neat. ^^
Pro: Lots of people don't know this, but there's a special feature on the DVD that talks about when Cap is writing things down to look up, when this movie was showing in different countries it showed the different things that happened during their time that was revolutionary; disco in Russia, etc. It's really cool how they did this, and it shows that Cap does more than just help America. Plus, I really would like to know what he thinks of Star Wars. XD (Yeah, I should do that New Hope Review)
Pro: I love the conspiracy/mystery that went down with S.H.I.E.L.D. where you find out Hydra had been inside it for decades. I love how it fit the 1st season episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. For those who've watched/currently watching the show, you know what I'm talking about.
Pro: The scene with Cap and Widow talking with Zola, a.k.a. 'TV Tummy' is one of my favorite exposition-reveal scenes, which I might make a top 10 of.
Pro: the scenes where Cap visits the Smithsonian and him seeing and Old Peggy Carter. Always wondered how they would play that out. Plus in season 3 of Agent Carter, I hope they show her actually forming S.H.I.E.L.D. with Howard Stark, and get together with Sousa. (Which I have a strong feeling that might be her future husband)
Con: Where was Hawkeye throughout all this crap?
Pro: I dug Alexander Pierce's angle on things and how he manipulated the system.
Pro: I was rooting for Bucky to get his memories back, and I'm definitely gonna be rooting for him come Civil War.
Everybody always thought that Widow was gonna get with either Cap or Hawkeye, and she's been stupidly called a slut when she was macking with Banner. People, she kissed cap JUST THAT ONE TIME to fool the bad guys, and Hawkeye's her best friend. What, cuz you have a boyfriend you can't have a male best friend?
Pro: Thought we didn't see Baron Strucker much in Age of Ultron, I liked how we saw him in the mid-credits scene and the introductions to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
Pro: Cap's elevator fight is my favorite elevator scene right up there with the elevator scenes from 2014 TMNT movie and Spider-man 2. ^^
All in all, gang, this movie is a definite fave, and one of the best sequels of all time, even though I always saw I dig all the MCU films equally. Next up IIIIIIIIIN SPAAAAAACE~
Till next time. Live the dream and draw it. ^^
Thanks for your time.
Oh! BTW, what the hell's up with Captain America movies either trashing motorcycles, or people getting caught and shredded in turbines?! And how much you wanna be we're gonna see that in Civil War?

BvS hilarity
Posted 9 years ago Oh me, oh my, oh me, people!
*sighs* Now, I've said it multiple times that you do like something that's objectively bad, I don't judge. Question, but not judge. It's your opinion and tastes. But then when you get one of those desperate fans that want to bash people that couldn't understand it cuz they're not smart enough, that's when my ass chaps. Prime example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNR5GoaHka0, thanking BvS for what it was.
"First: this film is dark and its heavy. I saw a lot of critic reviews pointing this out as a negative thing."
-Because the Superman parts goes against everything he stands for, and why 'dark and gritty' DOES NOT WORK FOR HIM. You call yourself 'a lifelong DC comics', then you should know why the behaviors and actions of both these heroes DO NOT WORK.
I've stated multiple times I'm not a hardcore comic-reader/collector, so I have no Batman comics. From what I heard, Batman did kill in a few of those, but my question is was there justifications to it all!?!? Like a scene that SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED in the damn movie where Alfred sits Bruce down and saying he's getting too brutal!
"It doesn't try to be a Marvel movie. It doesn't adhere to the same formulaic, pacing and plot lines we've grown so accustomed to in the MCU"
-Really? Good vs evil is so formulaic. And the pacing and plot lines are awful! We don't wanna see characters who act like likeable human beings and wanna root for them and face their problems and save people like superheroes. We wanna see them go 'WOE IS ME!'
"It could've been another procedural film that prioritizes action and simplicity over depth and characterization. It could've the easy path of cheap thrills and walked away with a popular but somewhat vapid blockbuster. But instead it chose to take a hard look of themes of good and evil, and power and corruption ."
-Girl... YOU IMMEDIATELY LOST ALL CREDIBILITY WITH THOSE SENTENCES! So MCU is about action and simplicity over depth and characterization?! First: they're adaptations of comic books, so of course they're gonna have action. Just like the invalid, dumbass criticisms that the Transformers movies have too much action and explosions. It's a war movie with giant robots with huge guns, so yeah, expect something to go boom. But let's not get into that again. So, girl, you're saying the MCU lacks depth and characterization! That is what you're saying! Wow... you could not be more wrong. And if you guys have been reading my MCU films reviews, you know this girl is so wrong.
BvS had depth and characterization!?!?! (laughing) Good Lord, even the god-awful 'Batman and Robin' had more depth and characterization than these 'characters' throughout this whole movie. Name ONE damn personality trait that doesn't involve loving/saving Lois. Name ONE thing about Wonder-Woman! You can't, because there was little to no depth or characterization throughout! They were so one-dimensional and unlikable I refuse to refer them to the comic book characters they're SUPPOSE to be.
"It's a drama that doesn't leave room for passive watching. It demands audiences' attention, and it doesn't apologize for it."
-No friggin' du, cuz it's constant gloom and doom lacking ANY sort of levity. YOU MUST HAVE LEVITY! It makes the dark situations more serious.
"The themes in this movie are not something that you can leave the theater, shaking your head to and going; 'Wow, friendship really is the key to beating the bad guy!'
-Apparently it was, cuz as soon Bats finds out his mom and Supes' mom have the same name, they're immediately BFFs, and he tells Martha "I'm friends with your son".
"They, like the rest of this movie are weighty and complicated"
-Yeah, cuz it involved SEVERAL different plots going around, which led to this movie not making sense, involving scenes that felt so out of place and nonsensical, with characters doing illogical and nonsensical things just to get the plot going. And most of it involved setting up Justice League, and because of that, it wasn't a self-contained movie.
"Superman's theme asks the question; 'Can a good man continue to be good and do good things even if he knows that one mistake turns against him?'
-I couldn't give a crap about Supes' theme because he had no personality, and no reason for me to root for the guy, just like 'Man of Steel'. And I'm a big fan of Superman. I was like, "Oh, he does wanna be a good man? *scoff* Yeah, whatever."
"Batman's theme asks the question if it's truly enough to put a check on power or if power has to be completely destroyed to insure safety"
-Maybe, if there had been a scene where Alfred confront Bruce about it and asks that question! The Batman we saw here just cared about nothing but revenge, and like I said before after the Senate Explosion scene, he could put together who did it, Luthor, and kill him. "World's Greatest Detective," MY ASS! This is him turning into the 'Justice Lord' Batman, and it's a massive part of his mythos that SHOULD HAVE been delved into more, but it was so casually brushed under the bus. Hell, instead of that 'Martha' moment, Bats stops himself from killing him after remembering what Alfred said, that getting revenge won't bring anyone back.
Don't even get me started on what she said about Luthor's theme, cuz it's one of the MANY pretentiously religious crap this movie kept shoving in our faces; alienating the non-christian fans of comic book movies, and giving atheists more excuses to rant over. Luthor's logic and motivations where just so wacko-jacko.
"The characters are not simple or one-dimensional."

"Superman is full of humanity and he's teaming with pain. And this Batman revels in his own pain"
-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuL6cJPz3Nk If 'WOE IS ME' counts then he's as human as Bella Swan. And 'teaming with pain' was all that he was doing, rendering him void of ANYTHING making me wanna root for the dude! And Batman reveling in his own pain, again, rendering him as one-dimensional
"And this Batman takes some measure of pleasure breaking people"
-If you've read 'All-Star Batman and Robin', yeah! That 'Batman', a.k.a. 'Crazy Steve;' delights in hurting and killing others including cops, calling kids 'retarded', belittles and insults the Justice League, wanted to take of the world if he had a Green Lantern ring. This Batman is Frank Miller's version, which he portrays HIS VIEWS through Batman; that we SHOULD give into our fears and paranoia and revenge is a worth goal. And THIS Batman is gonna lead the Justice League. SCREW YOU, FRANK MILLER!
"Thanks for changing my view and raising my expectations about what a comic book movie CAN be."
-My version of that; Thanks for changing my view and raising my expectations that there can be something WORSE than Fant4stic. And for what it CAN be... actually for what it IS to me and so many others, was that it's an insult to me who love these characters and wanted to see them put their differences and work together. I had low expectations about it, cuz I knew they would eventually work together, but I was shocked at how badly it was done.
"Thank you for doing the hard thing, rather than the easy thing."
Yes, WB and DC. Thank you for showing you have absolutely no faith in your characters unless it's Batman. Thank you for turning two of the most iconic superheroes into nothing but a joke. Thank you crapping on expectations for a Justice League movie if Snyder or Goyer are involved, and giving us more Batman films. Thank you alienating the fans that adore these characters, including me. Thank you for giving me hope in the Flash, Supergirl, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow series, cuz they are FAITHFUL to the characters and mythos. Thank you for giving me a newfound respect for the Green Lantern movie, cuz seeing it again... it's really not as bad as people make it out to be.
And a special thanks to you, girl, for demonstrating how much of a TOOL you are, and for demonstrating you're another one of those desperate fans trying to imply and FORCE that anyone who didn't like BvS just doesn't have the smarts or the attention span to really *understand* it. You liked it, great. But your idiotic statements made you lost all credibility.
Thanks for your time
*sighs* Now, I've said it multiple times that you do like something that's objectively bad, I don't judge.

Don't judge a Jungle Book by its cover
Posted 9 years agoTeehee! I'm so clever X3
But yeah, the old Jungle Book animated movie was one of my favorite Disney movies growing up, and I gotta say.... THIS WAS FRIGGIN' COOL!
I won't go into spoilers, and I don't wanna hear douche-bags complaining Mowgli's American accent!
I will say this... WALKEN, YOU MAGNIFICENT BASTARD! XD

A better version of Iron-Man 3?
Posted 9 years agoYeah, I said I wasn't gonna do an Iron-Man 3 review, and this isn't. What else could I possibly say about it? I friggin' hate this movie, and I honestly do not understand why it gets so much praise over Iron-Man 2. 3 years now and I still do not get it! Was it cuz of the PTSD he went though? OK, fine. I'm no expert in this kinda thing, but I don't' think it's exactly how it works. Even then, Tony Stark was just such an unlikable idiot throughout the movie from; threatening Mandarin on live TV with his address, NOT using his other suits when Mandarin attacked which he was surprised of, keeps on using a non-combat-ready suit, the list goes on.
This whole thing is pretty much a WSHH (What Should Have Happened)
Delve more into the Arc Reactor Tech, since we all know it's pretty much based off the Tesseract?Space Stone. That would introduce A.I.m, which the Mandarin was controlling, and that's how he makes his 10 rings.
Hell, that would've been a great way to subtly see that A.I.M was being aided by Hydra under S.H.I.E.L.D.! Just VERY SUBTLE hints.
Have Mandarin attack Tony, but he unleashes all those suits, but Mandarin has a way to control them, and Tony's left with the Mark 42, y'know, that damn suit wasn't combat ready! And least there would've been a reason using it and it'll set the stakes.
Have it be a story where Tony is framed by Mandarin for something and he's a fugitive.
Have it where he can't go to Stark Tower, now Avengers Tower. Which SHOULD have happened in the movie.
Forget that stupid kid! God those scenes with him were worthless! Have it where Tony uses his skills to sneak into S.H.I.E.L.D. to take wherever they were keeping the wrecked Destroyer from Thor and he uses that to make his Modular Armor! http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Iron_M.....Armor_Model_13
Have subtle hints where he's thinking about making Ultron, be it an after-credit scene or whatnot.
Where the hell was Bruce Banner throughout all this crap?! Explain that please! Sure woulda helped Tony out when they attacked his house!
Hell, tracking a terrorist like Mandarin is more Captain America's turf, so don't have Mandarin, have another one of Tony's enemies, save him for a potential 4th one, since a lot of times the 4th film is the coolest to me.
Hell, delving into the Arch Reactor energy is what helps make the 'Living Laser' http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Living_Laser and he'd be in control of his suits!
If they really wanted Tony to get his Arch Reactor out of his chest, which was a bullcrap move and never shoulda happened and you all shoulda know why. If you don't, here it is: For 2 and a half films (including Avengers) he’s mentioned time and again he’s said that it’s part of him. Coulda mentioned in the 1st one movie that the shrapnel’s un-removable. Hell, he was working on his chest in said 1st movie, how come he couldn’t remove the shrapnel there?! No foreshadowing at all, it just happens! Shoulda shown Dr. Strange somehow. He calls him and tells him he has a way to remove it… even better, Doc Strange coulda been the one talking with Tony in that end-credit scene!
So yes, if you loved this movie just the way it was, then more power to you. Hell, I definitely call this bloody thing a masterpiece over Fant4stic and DEFINITELY over the crap stain that is Batman vs. Superman, so if you guys gave me a choice to watch Iron Man 3 over any of those two, I'll pic this automatically.
So yeah, that's my two cents on how this movie coulda been better, cuz for those who hate it as much as I did, and do, we deserved better than this.
Thanks for your time.

The Doctor is Strange
Posted 9 years agoheh heh heh, I'm clever. XD
But regardless... QUEUE THE WHINY-ASS FANBOYS SCREAMING, 'IT'S A RIP-OFF OF MATRIX, BATMAN BEGINS AND INCEPTION!'
Good Lord, you people DON'T read comics. It was like that with Dr. Strange comics since 1963. Hell if anything Nolan stole from Dr. Strange. Though Goyer did write something for a potential Dr. Strange movie in the past. (But given how he hates certain heroes, I highly doubt he woulda done it justice.)
But yes, Bennidict Cummberbatch IS the perfect Strange. Ever since I saw him as Khan I dug this man. Heck, if they ever put in Unicron in a movie, I say get his voice for him. Sure, he's no Orson Wells, but still damn intimidating.
This teaser wet my appetite to see more >:3
And lemme tell ya something else. My dad never watches trailers, and he's the biggest Dr. Strange fan I know. And I know he is gonna love this movie ^^

Wolfespada MCU Review - Thor: The Dark World
Posted 9 years agoGreetings mortals to another edition of Wolfespada’s MCU movie review!
Today we’re discussing ‘Thor: The Dark World’
Yeah, Civil War’s just around the corner, and I hope I can get all these in. Plus Portman’s not returning for Thor: Ragnarok. The new gal is Tessa Thompson; replacement as Jane Foster or a new love interest entirely. You make the call!
As always, I’ll discuss the pros, cons and the What Should Have Happened (WSHH).
Pro: I really liked the Dark Elves design. And I really liked Malekith. Some call him the most blandest MCU villain ever, but I disagree. We know his motivations; wants to get back at Asgard for forcing him to wipe out a lot of his people to destroy their armies, Thor’s grandpappy, Bor, killed them, and wants to create a place where his people can thrive. Sure, he’s not the best MCU villain, he deserved more screen time, but he was interesting enough, and he posed a good threat. And that’s the ticket, villains are interesting when they pose a threat. And he was to me.
Pro: The scene in the beginning with Loki being bought before Odin after his antics in ‘The Avengers’ felt like a true jumping-on moment into Phase 2 for me rather than Iron Man 3. And it’s cool we get to learn more about Asgardian lifespan, and the confirmation they are humanlike aliens that can live 5,000 years ^^
Pro: I’m glad we got to see one of the nine realms, and I’m glad we got to see more of Asgard, and during the day. The first film it always seemed to be night time.
Pro: Frickin’ CHUCK as Fandral! For those who’ve seen the show ‘Chuck’ know who I’m talking about. Heck, Zachary Levi is the saving grace for the 2nd Chipmunk movie for me. That movie’s not all that bad, the rest of the sequels I refuse to watch.
Con: I said this in my Thor review; I got nothing wrong with Jane Foster’s character in the films. Natalie Portman, however, I just hate her attitude.
Another thing that I think contributed to her leaving was that she threw a fit when a potential lady director for the movie was canned because she wanted to make this movie more like ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Wait, what? So… cuz of Thor bringing Jane to Asgard that’s somehow gonna turn into two opposing families that aren’t allowed to fall in love and both die? This was all stuff I heard and read long ago, but I think that might’ve made the higher-ups scratch their heads a bit if this was true. Don’t get me wrong I love romance, but if a movie just has them be lovey-dovey THROUGHOUT the whole movie, it gets boring.
Pro: I love Kat Dennings as Darcy. I dunno why people have such a beef with her. And I liked the intern, Ian ^^
Pro: I really liked how they worked in the Convergence throughout, like how physics gets turned on its head.
Pro: Renne Russo as Frigga was friggin’ awesome! Dumbass haters keep talking crap on the MCU having no deaths, the characters don’t get hurt, or don’t have emotional scenes. 1st: you’re idiots. 2nd: you’re dumbasses. 3rd: I felt more emotion from Frigga’s death and funeral pyre than Superman/Clark Kent’s funeral(s) at the end of BVS. (Spoiler alerts) Up yours, assholes!
BTW this movie capitalizes on the problems with superheroes with capes! Somewhere, Edna Mode is facepalming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iU-GQa95tg Boy I can't wait to see Dr. Strange's bloopers involving his cape XD
Pro: The scenes with that library in London and the Asguardian jailbreak tied in very well with certain episodes and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., involving Lorlei and that Berserker staff, and I’m so happy Lady Sif was in episodes….. DAMN YOU, GRANT WARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, when are we gonna get Lego minifigs with Lady Sif and the Warriors 3?! ANSWER ME, DAMMIT!
Also ALSO, GOD I WANT ONE OF THOSE ASGAURDIAN SKIFFS!
Pro: I liked how they treated Erik Selvig’s PTSD after being a possessed minion to Loki, though I do wish they saved his news footage of him running around Stonehenge nekkid for later. But after seing that once strange event that proved he’s not crazy, and him throwing away his meds… classic ^^
Pro: Thor proved throughout that he is wise enough to actually be a king from his actions and his plans to get Jane out of Asgard.
Pro: There are so many layers of Loki we don’t know, guys. Hell I wasn’t expecting him to save Jane from that… black hole-grenade? Guess that’s the official name for that. Yeah, he was devastated when Frigga died, even though he outright stated they’re not his real parents. Like I said, layers.
Pro: Though Malekith might not be the best MCU villain, you gotta admit, his right-hand dude Algrim was pretty cool. And with his monstrous form, Kurse, that’s some of the best practical make-up/costume affects I’ve ever seen ^^
Pro: The end battle scene had me on the edge of my seat.
Pro: So that Aether is confirmed to be one of the Infinity Stones, and it’s the Reality Stone. NO, THEY AIN’T MCGUFFINS! And I like how they introduced Tivan the Colelctor in the mid-credit scenes. Now it’s 4 down, 2 to go.
Pro: The scene with Loki turning himself into Captain America got the hugest laugh in my theater when we saw it. ^^ There’s an alternate take of that where it’s Tom Heddelston wearing the suit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQXduY16Zpo
So, guys… I can’t think of one truly negative thing about this movie, and I can’t understand why some people don’t like it. This is one my favorite CBM sequels up there with Winter Soldier Iron Man 2, Age of Ultron, X-Men 2. Yeah, I like it more than the 1st, much as I like that. It just had its own charm to it.
It had heart, and I deemed it worthy to get on DVD.
But a lot of questions: where are the other two stones, and what happened to Odin? Now that Loki’s in disguise as him and as king….. hoooo boy.
But anyway, stick around for Captain America: The Winter Solider next time.
Thanks for your time ^^
Oh, BTW, that Jotuenhiem creature is STILL running around the streets of London chasing birds at the end of the movie, guys! Just saying!

Green Lantern movie retrospect
Posted 9 years agoHey gang, couple days ago I decided to watch the Green Lantern movie for the first time since its theatrical debut all the way back in 2011, yeah, only saw it that one time. Yeah, me and my dad when we saw it thought it was just... meh. I'm a big Green Lantern fan, and after the likes of MOS and BVS, I thought what the heck.
Guys.... it's really nowhere near as bad as people are making it out to be. It's nowhere the level that Haley Berry's Catwoman is, and it MILES better than BVS.
It had a pretty good plot, though I think they should've saved Paralax for a potential third finale, but for what it was here and way it was structured, it served as a really, and I mean really good test of might for Hal Jordan. Yeah, Hector Hammond was ugly as hell, but he was a lot more menacing than that jolly-rancher loving Granny's Peach Tea-maker Lex Luthor.
Ryan Renolds was pretty awesome as Hal Jordan. Much as I love him in Deadpool, he nailed Jordan down. Too bad the big wings pulled the plug on this way too soon, otherwise by NOW we would be having a really awesome Justice League.
Keep in mind, DC had their reboot in 2011, so after they 'felt' like it tanked, they thought it was the humor that killed it. Maybe that's why they went this dark and gritty route.
*FLIPS THE BIRD* THANKS, DAN DiDIO!!!! And thanks to you, Nolan, for brainwashing people that everything needs to be more like Batman.
So yeah, on the level of an MCU film, and it was fun. I might get this on DVD.
I have a whole new respect for it now ^^
Thanks for your time. ^^

Mary Sue????
Posted 9 years agoHey gang. Today I wanna get something off my chest, something that's been bugging for a long-ass while now. Because people who like to think they're smart because they use such big words without actually knowing what the hell they talk about or think they know all about what makes a good story and characters. Now granted, I don't know everything about writing, I don't think I'm Shakespeare (though I'm not a fan of the guy), I know what makes a movie cool for me is the characters.
Now this crap has gone on ever since Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out, loads of people keep calling Rey a 'Mary Sue' just cuz she's good at what she does, and cuz of that she's an unrealistic character.
Really!?! You're throwing this crap when you got people who can handle laser swords, robots that can think and act like regular people, aliens, and an energy field that surrounds living beings. You're calling this unrealistic?!
Now a Mary Sue means: She's perfect. Everybody loves her. She's great at everything, blah blah blah. This is used for any strong female character that they think has no crippling flaw
First off: the "Everybody loves her" bit. I'm sorry, but isn't that the goddamn point of a protagonist. If I said it once, I've said it more than once, if we don't have a likeable male/female protagonist to root for, THEN IS EVEN THE HELL THE POINT OF WATCHING A MOVIE THEN?!
Yeah, Rey is good at what she does, but I saw why. "She learned the ligthsaber so quickly." See that staff of hers?! I see that she's good with melee weapons. "She learned the force so quickly" She picked it up when Kylo Ren was doing what he was doing to her. I saw that! "She overpowered Kylo Ren so easily" He was injured, and he was ordered to bring her back a-friggin'-live! He was basically toying with her, and he goaded her on saying he can teach her ways of the force.
Black Widow's a skilled assassin, that make her a Mary Sue?
The thing about Bella Swan from Twilight, she's consider 'The Queen of Mary Sues', I don't think that. She was just an unlikable character.
"IT'S ALL A FEMINIST PROPAGANDA!" That is all I'm hearing now, and boy howdy it's gotten so goddamn ridiculous that these insecure, whinny fanboys are really making things impossible for future fans to be able to WANT to enjoy things now or in the future.
I have this big feeling Rey is a Skywalker. The proof's in the pudding, guys. The Force Awakens has proven to me that it's worthy to be as good as the Original Trilogy. I love all the characters in Force Awakens, I can't wait to see them again in the next film. If you hate the movie for different reasons, fine to each his/her own. But if you STILL think Rey is a Mary Sue, and the Prequels are works of art, then that's YOUR ass.
Thanks for your time.
