OK perhaps that isn't the best attitude but it's how I feel. No there won't be an update to the comic today I just haven't had time to draw and when I have the comic panels won't come out the way I want them to which is more annoying than anything else. Also I took really difficult classes this year I already have so many projects and essays and tests and quizzes and all of that so that's super stressful. On top of that my mom and brother both just had surgery and can't walk so I've been helping out with them so that takes up more time (they are fine don't worry). So with everything going on I can barely draw basic doodles let alone work on the animation (which I have 4 frames of done), the comic, or the music video its just all too much to handle at once.

I'm really sorry I've been missing my deadlines but you can expect more updates as I get used to school again and my family can walk on their own. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day

1) finish up music art video
2) post three pages of AFR every three weeks (any delay will result in a journal explaining why)

4) make my first two animations

I was going to spend this weekend preapring the next three comic pages but insteed my mom decided to take my brother and I up to NY to see my uncle for labor day weekend so that idea kind of went out the window sorry about that I have one more page ready to post as well as plenty of regular artwork. I would continue to draw here in fact I brought my sketch book and pens...but I forgot my pencil....dumb self. So sorry about that but enjoy your weekend everyone!

This title applies both my summer and the collar part of my comic. I'm sad about the first one but truefuly happy about the second because I can finally start what is in my opition is the good part of the storyline. So now for the name of the next part.

So far we have had the flashback and the collar and now its time for...drum roll please!! (Drum roll) the name of the next part of AFR is "Heavy Losses" yay for ominous titles! So three big surprises are in store there will be drama! There will be action! And there will be regular updates once the school year starts and I want to make another three update tonight if I can so come later to check

So today I did something that used to love that thing being swings. I haven't been able to go on the swings in awhile due to my large size but today I discovered that a playground not to far from me has swings for taller people like myself. I absolutely loved swings as a kid, I was terrified of things like roller coasters so a big swing set was a good substitute in my mind. While swinging on the swings when I was younger was more fun and entertaining than it is now I still had a great time soaring through the air with nothing but 2 chains holding me back. So yeah that's my thoughts on swinging now for more important stuff.

So sadly I have been really lackluster in posting art lately especially with the AFR comic. The truth is while I enjoy the process of creating and drawing things the act of adding digital text scanning things and touching them up is nowhere near as fun so its not as if I'm not drawing quite the opposite actually, I've been drawing just about every day and I have 5 and a half pages of the comic done just need to finish the one before I can post them I'm working on that half page right now. There will be another special quest in the next part he won't play a huge part just yet but will be coming back a few times throughout the comic his name is captain luxo

Oh one more thing, I'm working on an art music video featuring wolffang and it should be done soon so keep your eyes open for that. Well that's all I have to say so have a great day everyone

I've really really been slacking with my art lately especially the comic I've only drawn one new page :-P sorry about that just been lazy I suppose I'm going to do the next page this afternoon and then another one tommorow and then one on Saturday and then just post them all monday and if I stick to that schedule I'll be done the Collar part and ready to finally move on.

Oh also I gave my little pony another shot mostly for the fan parodies (which I find hilarious) and also because the kids I babysit watch it on netflix and I've learned to tolerate and some times enjoy the show until they start singing I can't stand the singing in the show :-P

So the page for my group is up yay!!!! Heres a link  F_B_and_H_Studios there's not much on there yet but that's where you come in I need ideas on what to draw...I need something big and interesting to attract attention to the page so yeah please give me requests I feel like I did all right with the past two that I've done and they were a lot of fun so yeah send some requests my way! Also I've been slacking but I should have the next few pages of AFR done soon so yay!! The collar will come to a close and then I'm going to post all of the rest of the alley scene at once it should be like 7 or 8 pages hopefully I'll have it all done by the end of the summer

My one year anniversery here on FA so much has changed and yet my mission is still the same. My purpose on this site has been and will continue to be two things 1) to hone my art skills with lessons I learn from looking at art and comments on my own drawings and 2) to bring my own form of entertainment to the internet through my comic and random artwork. So thank you everyone for supporting me on my journey I hope I can keep you all entertained and I love you all

So in two more pages the collar part of AFR will finish in 2 pages and then we can finally finish up the part where Wolffang runs into trouble in the alley yeah I'm just going to say it more action more drama and just a hint of a plot twist I'm looking forward to drawing it I've been planning it since the very beginning and finally the storyline will make sense yay!!!

I need to be on here more I admit that when I came to this site I made a commitment to keep up with posting and submissions and now I can't even keep up with the 2 requests that I have, I started one of the two but doing requested work is more difficult than I expected when I'm used to only doing my stuff not to mention this has been a busy summer. And yeah normally I wouldn't bother you with the issues of my life but it seems like fewer and fewer people are reading my journals so yeah I'm just going to go for it.

So in the past week I've gotten into a fight with my girlfriend which is nothing super new and perhaps some wouldn't even call it a fight no yelling or really mean words but I guess some of my actions did not live up to her expectations and now she doesn't want to talk to me but even though that's happened before it feels like this time is different I don't know it seems as though she's changing somehow but in any case that resulted in me drawing vent art instead of requests or my comic.

Then my grandpa got another infection which we weren't too worried about because it seems to happen all the time but what really upset me about that is the fact that while I was sitting with him I was reminded of his deteriorating memory which seems to run on my mom's side of the family a fact that scares me because I really really don't want my family to forget me years down the road. So that lead me to draw more sad vent art.

So needless to say I have drawn plenty of sad artwork over the past week which has done nothing but worry my mother and make my dad think I've turned goth or something. Anyway I will continue to be slow on this site until school starts then hopefully I'll be back on schedule.

I am sorry...again for not keeping up with my submissions and journals I am way behind once again I'm really really sorry somehow I do much better during the school year I think that's because I spend a lot more time on the computer for schoolwork and I used the site to procrastinate (not a good habit). However I'm going to do my best.

What do you guys/girls think about me posting more pages at a time every 2 weeks or so now that I've tried it both ways? I think both ways work so I'll do whatever. Also I'm really excited because we are reaching the climax of this part of the storyline yay!!!! After the collar story line is done we return back to the alley where we left Wolffang Redheart and Veronica to see how that plays out (lots of action drama and we will see Wolffang's true abilities when he gets angry) I can't wait to start drawing it I've been planning it out for months dialogue poses and all that I hope it entertains you all.

Kotoricon artist sign ups will be opening up soon and as soon as my partners and I have put together a logo we should make a page here on FA and since the artist table thing is a selective process it would mean a lot if you support the page in anyway you can or at least visit it or add it too your watch list it would really be appreciated.

Speaking of Kotoricon I'm told I should make a few prints what do you think would be good things to draw be it fanart of anime or furry artwork because I have no ideas

My theme for my art this week is Pokemon this came to mind because I handed over my favorite video game of all time down to my little brother, this game was Pokemon Leaf Green. It was a little crushing to watch him save for the first time over my countless hours of game-play and replace it with his own but at the same time it's a lot of fun to pass on all of my pokemon knowledge all of the do's and don'ts of pokemon even though most of the time he just ignores me (by the way he has named the charmander Steve won't train anyone but him :)). So yeah that's why pokemon I have a few more pokemon pictures to post one of lavender town and one of the daycare center those are the ones I have done, any other ideas?

So yeah I'm babysitting today so that means I should have time to go through all 812 submissions and 545 journals today...joy why do I always let these things pile up on me!!! Why self?! WHY!?!?!?!?!?!!??!!?!?!

My inner otaku is taking over!!!! Over the past few days I've: had my first RP, watched both the original and new Pokémon, gone back to playing Pokémon Leaf Green, developed a d-gray man/ trinity-blood head-cannon watched hours of naruto bleach d-gray man, trinity blood and even Fruit's Basket!!! I'm on overload here I think I'm on overload here (sigh).

Oh in super awesome amazing news today is pay day!! I expect to receive $75 which is more than enough to get my art pad yay!!!! Digital art world here I come!!!

My question from yesterday still lies unanswered sigh perhaps I'll never know...but if the position of supreme ruler of the furries is open...I can think of some nominees :).

Anyway I have a challenge for myself this summer and I want you all to hold me accountable
1) Next 15 pages of the comic
2) Draw 33 ponies (1 down)
3) Make a print to sell at Kotoricon
4) Buy an art tablet to start digitalizing awesome artwork

First of all sorry for posting 2 journals in one day I'm just bored babysitting and an idea popped into my head and that is that every other fandom that I know of has some form of leader or group of leaders that either created or controls the fandom, the MLP fandom came from a show and there are a handful of artists and bloggers that seem to be at the forefront of the fandom, the homestuck fandom have the comic's creator and so on and so forth but as far as I've seen furries don't have that kind of person to follow

It seems to me that furries are they're own leaders there are so many break-off groups web-comics, parallel universes, styles and ideas that it's hard to even group furries together at all but yet we all find ourselves under one roof which when you think about it is pretty awesome no other fandom is as diverse or all-encompassing as the furry fandom is and that makes me really happy to be a part of it . Or perhaps I'm wrong and there is another fandom like the furry fandom that I've skipped over but until I'm proved wrong I am going to call my fandom the most diverse interesting and complex one in existence?

But what did you think? Did I skip over a fandom or are we really the most awesome?

I'm back to babysitting again just like last year....and I'm on FA instead of said babysitting...again the kids are rather self-sufficient so I only step in when needed and give them their space for the most part. But they make me feel old :P. For example I haven't watched Pokémon in awhile but I decided to watch Black and White with them and I realized, I don't know any of the new ones, what's worse they don't know any of the old originals :0. What is the world coming to when little kids don't know the original 150 Pokémon?!?!

Oh yeah I can't do commissions because I need to be 18 to have a paypal legally but I'll find a way around that somehow. And also requests SHOULD be open by the end of the week so keep your eyes open for that!

AAAAAAHHHHHHHH I DIDN'T POST!!!!! Meh I have my reasoning which is I spend today working on a super short filler comic because lately I've been boring myself with the main comic so its hard to force it. But I have two and a half pages of the new comic done already just from today (it is a lot easier to draw when my heart is in it) so if I keep up the pace I should have it finished by tomorrow (fingers crossed) like I've said before Monday is my preferred posting day but Tuesday is my plan B

I swear I'll post more over the summer and not just from requests and stuff like that. I have 10 pictures of my own saved up to make sure I don't go absent for long. Thank you so much to those of you have stuck with me and my art from the beginning you guys are amazing and provide so much motivation as for those that are more recent followers thank you as well I hope that I can entertain you :)

I did it!!!!! I actually convinced my mom to let me do requests and commissions here on FA!!! Woo it only took a year lol but I got it!! So this summer meaning maybe a week after school ends I'm going to be taking requests and commissions to fill my free time while babysitting. It should be a lot of fun but don't expect super amazing artwork at first because I'm not used to drawing fursonas other than my own but I sure will try. And with the money that I make through babysitting and artwork I'm going to try and get an art tablet my friend helped me to find one that is really cheap ($35) and according to her it works awesomely and she loves it. So all of that means big changes coming in my art this summer.

Something that won't change is that I am still going to make my comic!! Now perhaps the storyline at the moment seems to jump around and makes no sense but that was my intention and I promise you that in maybe at the most 20 pages/weeks it will all come full circle literally and everything will make sense and the comic will move on hopefully I'll get close to that by the end of the summer (fingers crossed). And if not then...well I'll get to it by the end of the year without a doubt.

In other news my friend  kalibear29 is now on the site and from what I've heard from her so far it seems like she is going to get serious with furry art really soon, which is cool because I really like her work.

Oh and I have one more artistic challenge that I want to accomplish this summer and that is master mlp ponies. While I personally am not a huge fan of the show (I see why others like it though) I do think it would be helpful to learn how to draw them before going somewhere like Kotoricon where there were sssooooo many mlp fans last year. I figure that I need to have some idea what I am doing in order to participate in selling there.

Good news it that I got my driver's license, went shopping for art supplies with my friends and finished one of my many final exams :). The bad news is that due to the events in the previous sentence I was not able to find time for posting artwork today....but I do have plenty of it saved up so in exchange for being a day late I'll dig into my reserves for extra artwork deal? Anyway I would love to continue and talk about current events and changes in my life but I have math hw to do!

Yep I'm turning 17 on Sunday! I finally get to drive on my own!!!! I WILL HAVE SO MUCH FREEDOM!!!!!!....still no car.... but if I did I WOULD HAVE FREEDOM!!!!! Also it means I get ice cream cake woo! Sadly it also means I have one more year before adulthood....not sure I like that I don't think I'm ready to be a responsible adult actually I know that I'm not ready!!!! So I'm going to spend this next year of my existence enjoying what is left of what could be called my childhood before I am whisked away into the turmoil of college studentness.

In other exciting news my friend invited another artist to join our little group (our team of artists to do commissions in the future) and she's really cool. We are starting to make plans for Kotoricon already even though its over half a year away but hey I'm not complaining. So I've been put in charge of the furry department of the artwork so that should be interesting I'm glad I have those 6 months to practice :). Also they want me to learn to draw ponies which despite their simplistic design they are really difficult for me to draw which is why I haven't posted any of them yet to save myself from embarrassment.

But anyway that's my rant how are you all doing?

ok so I'm down to 180 submissions to go through (946 journals) and I have a good deal of art saved up for Monday but no still don't have the comic page done :P. I do however have a comic page done for the ask the AFR cast which I think you will all find pretty cute as well the usual epic Wolffang artwork all of this will be posted Monday or Tuesday so long as my computer decides to work with me. Onto happier news...

I have gone over it with my parents and they will allow me to sell art at Kotoricon next year YAY!!!! Super excited for that because a friend of mine is going to help me run the table and we plan on making prints, buttons, key-chains and maybe even T-shirts over the summer to sell there all we need is a name for our "Company" and we can get started :-D.

Speaking of summer there is a chance (notice chance) that I'll be doing requests and or commissions over the summer that all depends on how much I can improve by then, if I am able to get a job on the weekends, parental approval and how loud the kids I babysit will be. So a lot of if's on that one but I would like to. Let's see what else?

Oh about my fear on posting overly violent work and having to put it in the mature section, I've decided that I'm just going to go for it and see how it works out. I'm going to test the waters so to speak with some fighting drawings and putting them in the general section to see what happens. Nothing too crazy or bloody (which I don't plan on doing anyway) and seeing the type of response I get.

Lastly the AFR comic, yes I know I really need to get back to posting that or rather at least get back to drawing it and I will in fact with any luck I'm going to get a jump on it tonight and get at least one more page out of the way in which we shall see of  ledgewood for the time being, with any luck he will let me use his fursona again some time in the future.

(sigh) ok so I'm almost done with school a few more projects then some quizzes then all that is left is finals and then I am finally done!!! YAY!!! But until then art posting is still going to be slow sorry. But to avoid a long break like last time I have taken precautions and saved up some of my artwork in case I don't have time to draw in that time period.

And as a side note I know that I haven't posted my comic in awhile and I love to say that I have some pages of that ready to go, but I don't I really have hit a roadblock in my comic's storyline it can go one of two paths. A dark path that I already have worked out filled with dark twists pain and blood, or a cute lighter love story which is starting to form but I don't know which to do. I'm also afraid that due to the dark nature of the story that I might have to put some of the pages under a blue banner (mature) and not sure how I feel about that....mmmm I don't suggestions?

Oh and as a final note I have 774 submissions to go through and 795 journals so it may take a bit to get to yours :).
