Let me just say that it's so damn refreshing to see an animated film that's just plain fun and a blast to watch. It's probably my favorite animated film of the past decade along with Fantastic Mr. Fox!

It was short, sweet, fast paced, and a plain ol' good time. No real heavy preaching, no soapboxing, no forced emotional bullshit. It was just FUN.

I think the people comparing it to Zootopia are missing the point that it is a completely different genre of film and wasn't made to push messages. It's just made to give you a good time. But if I MUST compare it to Zootopia, I enjoyed Bad Guys infinitely more to be quite honest.

Was walking about outside and heard a rustling noise in a nearby hedge. Figured it was just a bunny or something and then as I walk by a huge coyote just jumps out in front of me, looks at me for a sec, then happily prances away. Totally made my day.

But, honestly, that award doesn't mean shit for animation. None of the judges even watch any of the animated nominees. They just pick whichever was the most successful Disney hit that year. They even openly admitted that a few years ago. Sometimes, they haven't even heard of any of the other nominees BUT the Disney one, so they just pick that by default. XD

That shit means absolutely nothing.
