Well the party was a blast, and of course I said i wasn't going to forget the camera which means yes I did forget to bring it, just has the cell cam to use ::growls:: oh well at least I had that, not that I actually got to use it since I spent 90% of the time at the party behind the counter helping to prep food or helping to serve drinks, the other 10% was split with going on the Fursuit walk (which was fun cause we stopped at a local playground and got up to some antics as a group), cleaning up the dishes and being part of the gift exchange (ended up with santa clause bubble gum).

So I didn't get to socialize as much as I thought I was going to be able to do so, but at least being behind the counter meant I was talking to just about everyone who came to get a drink - so almost as good as general socializing. But for the life of me I still can't put faces to names or fursonas for that matter (so anyone there who I talked with or the like, feel free in watching me - i'll watch back).

Kantu and I had a blast and we're looking forward to future meets (we missed todays walk because of family obligations) and we're hyped for FE2012, which likely will be the only con we're able to attend in the new year (less finances increase and allow for being able to attend other events, then who knows).

Well tomorrow is the FE Xmas party and its going to be a blast I am sure of it.

Kantu got his new head in the mail yesterday so will be making his first official appearance in Kantu 2 this weekend (I so have to remember to pack the camera and not just rely on the camera on the darn phone!) I've got CC all ready, though she's seen better days for sure (sighs I really need to rework her again or just build another one).

Was going to cook up the casserole today but time got away form us - thus it means getting up early and putting it together (since it take two hours to make!) we where going to do a cake, but we don't have time to do so now unfortunately. I also have to remember to bring creamer since there is no garentee that there will be any lactose free creamer (I so dislike being lactose intolerance in the extra of it) for the coffee on hand, plus some extra pop for Kantu since he can't have anything with caffeine in it.

Oh well, I hope to see many furs there (and in turn follow those who I don't already follow).

Well got two badged completed (will post as soon as they get scanned) plus a few digital ones are in the works (ones completed but I'm still not liking something so its hanging - lol got to love how perfection can get in the way at times).

A week today we out my aunt to rest, and yesterday Kantu with my dad went to help my uncle sort things out at their place and apparently there is a LOT to still be gone though (so more trips back to his place to go though things in the week to come it would appear).

Still jobless, which annoying us to no end since we both have bills that need paying (and medication that needs to be gotten) oh well something will turn up for the tow of us eventually.

Well no commissions from here, but from else where but nun the less am going to post them here when completed.. got a couple foxes, one husky and a few hybrids that I'm working on - so far they are working out fair well I do think (they are taking my mind off of my aunt at least).

Well I'm sad to say that today I lost my aunt to Bone Cancer she had survived breast cancer twice but just over a month later learning she had bone cancer she's fought her last battle and didn't win this round.

She will be deeply missed by all he friends, family and co-workers.

Well its back to being unemployed, so back to job hunting and the things that go with that ... thus I am also now thinking about doing some commission style work, but since I know that there are so many out there who do "furry" art and the like I'm not sure about opening myself up for this side of the deal (as I've just gotten back into drawing furry related material) since I'm so use to doing web site design and development.

Oh well, I could also offer my services as a furry photographer since I also have experience in doing portrait photography, not dun many shoots of fellow fur's but its something that I do know how to do.

I know I don't have to many people here on FA that watch me much less comment on anything I write/post - so asking for feedback well welcomed isn't something I'm thinking I'll get, but its worth a shot at any rate.

My fursona is known as CC she is a Mystical Crested Fennec, CC is fun loving and enjoys playing around with other pups and palling around with Kantu. CC has many colours to which her fur goes depending on her mood, by default her colour is purple shades with white though its not uncommon for her to be seen just plain shades of tan with white and gold furnishing, though in CCs case she can't stand fitting in so she always has to have something about her that isn't common and you never know what she'll change just to stand out.

Markings:
.....Body: Tan in colour with darker tan spots ranging is sizes (speckled) here and there over the skin of her back, front is a little more defined with less spotting going on but what spotting there is is of a lighter tan nature.
.......Tail: Short about a foot in length all told with a tuff of white at the end that is flowing (feathered)
.....Arms: tan skin ending with gold furnishings (feathered) onto the paws
....Hands: as above the furnishings extend onto the paws save the fingers which are tan with black nails

Well its that time of year again, time to Toronto Pagan Pride to take place.

This year it is taking place September 25th 2011 at Wilket Creek Park (Wilket Creek Park is at Eglinton and Leslie, South of Hwy401 and West of the Don Valley Pkwy. Firepit #1 is located on the southeast corner of the park at Leslie and Eglinton. The Park entrance is on the West side of Leslie, just North of Eglinton. Firepit #1 is on the left-hand side (South) of the entrance and visible from the entrance.), starting at noon though we'll be getting things together before then so everyone is free to come before noon.

We've got a host of things happening, from a swap meet, to various workshops and open rituals, plus the great ritual at the end of the evening (6pm) as well as the annual bardic competitions and much more.

This is not a fur meet, but it is open to all who either are Pagan or who are pagan friendly thus ears n tails is alright to wear, though Kantu and I will have our suits with us (and might change into them depending on the weather and what's going on).

This year unlike last year the BBQ that is on offer is paid to help support next year's event - however that being said there will be a Free Potluck (so feel free in bringing food to share with everyone if you are able to do so). Kantu and I are baking cookies to have on offer plus a few other treat items.

This year there will also be the annual Bardic Competition with prized to be won so anyone who enjoys music, poetry, etc might be interested in performing.

Well since starting back into redrawing some of my older works of art (digitizing them and cleaning them up) I've started to get back into drawing and my creative juices have started to flow again. Its been so long since I wonted to just draw and create that I had forgotten how it felt to be this way.

Guess the effects of the past are actually being driven away by my present and going back to where they belong in the past to say.

So you can look forwards to more art work being posted as time does pass along and once I'm feeling up to it I'll likely open up the possibilities of commissions (though right now I'm not sure I will or not as I wont to keep my creative juices flowing before trying to do anything commercial again in that area).

well managed to find one of my smaller sketch books with some anthro art in it, scanned it and have been working on digitzing the art I scanned, that and colouring it as bla the scans look like crap, but I should have a few to post up shortly at least.

I've got a few sketch books full of sketches that I have been meaning to scan clean up and upload, but I keep getting distracted or I just plain forget about them because come on 200+ pages to go though for just one sketch book and I have a good 20 books from high school right on into university and collage that I've saved over the years, not all of the pages would I scan, but many of the anthro art stuff that I've dun I wont to get up here.

Guess there is a good reason why I switched over to digital art for most of my stuff, then again nothing beats traditional in many regards, or a combo deal.

Oh well if I can find the books with the anthro images in them i'll get started on those first, take care everyone!

nothing yet really in my own suit but a few things when mascotting, mostly to do with playing it up with news crews as they interview the companies CEO or the like and I'm joking with the crew or what have you.

Chuckles, this is one thing that I have been trying to get my head around for a while now. I keep trying to sketch something out but I also keep tossing out the sketch which is really starting to annoy me to no end.

I don't know how some people do it with those com badges that ppl have, less I'm just being way to picky about my own drawing and that's what's hurting my development drawing of CC.

I'm trying to put her into a playful pose (playful puppy style) with a good old grim/smile on her face - but for what ever reason I just can't seem to get it drawn right to my own minds eye. Even a formal bust up shot is proving to be an issue.

So am wondering what other's who draw their own fursona do when it comes to drawing their our fursona, because I can seem to draw other's without to much issue but my own is proving another matter - how do you get though that mental road block?

Well yesterday Kantu and I went to Polaris to help promote Furnal Equinox and the rest of the furry community and cons that are taking place, we where there with some of the comcon staff of FE (Blind and Beta) and a couple of other's as well (Pak and another who my memory fails to remember his name sorry [he wears a griffon or something suit])

Any any rate, it was a fun day out I actually managed to wear CC all day long - only taken her off at the end of the day when things where closing down for the table (though ya I did take a couple rests to help myself cool down, but once I put her on in general she didn't fully come off till it was time to pack up).

One thing I did learn from wearing CC all day in that heat (even if they said the place had AC ya could have fooled us in the matter) is that her main body being of the breathable material that it was made it possible to actually keep her on without over heating as happened to Kantu (he's now thinking about how he can make a lighter suit that will still work for him).

But one thing is for sure the con also showed me that CC still has a lot of work to be dun to her to make her into my vision that i have for her, and the first thing to go is the body suit, as much as I like it making it more hearty is what needs to happen (the current one is trashed after saturday - I totally ripped part of it trying to get in and out, so its to the drawing board to work up something that is light yet more durable). I'm still going with the spandex idea for the body, but trying to find spandex in the colour I wont is another matter (less i can find white and dye it to the colour patter/style I'm looking for). Just have to wait and see what I can come up with that will work within the lines that I am thinking of.

But if you where at Polaris and saw me and or Kantu and got a shot of one of us or both of us, please let me know as I totally forgot to have someone take a shot of us together with out camera (ya could get one dun at any time, but wonted one from the con itself of us together).

Well its been a hard weekend and an end of a hard week in general.

Thursday May 12th 2011, I was forced to take Griff to the vet and have him sleep the final sleep.

I didn't wont him to go, I didn't wont to agree with the vet that it was time and in short I didn't wont to say goodbye to a companion who has been there though thick and thin in my life.

But it was time, it wasn't right to let him continue trying to please me and to be at my side at all costs. His spleen had ruptured and he was bleeding out, though he was trying to keep up with me and be as close to me as he could get - I had to agree that it was time. I could have taken him home pumped him full of medication and have him go to sleep here at home and not wake up the next morning or if he did be in worse shape then he already was in.

I admit to crying, tears streaming down my face and having a really hard time of talking. I knew this day would come, we'd been told in february that it would happen, she didn't know when but that.

Taking him in knowing that he might not be coming back home with us, was so blasted hard to do. Holding him while the vet gave him something to help him sleep was even harder and once he was asleep her putting the last shot into him, just hurt me straight though the heart. Holding him, talking to him telling him how much I loved him and everything, crying and all.

So starts my journey without my companion at my side, he's been right there for a decade my shadow, my muse and in short my child. Its not been easy the past several days, I've put most of his stuff away into storage awaiting the next pup when ever we're to get one (my folks right now, are against getting another pup, so for now its not happening). Some of the food we have left is getting donated to a local shelter so other's can make use of it.

Well I am trying to think of Griff being with my grandmother and my first pup enjoying all the treats that he can get his paws on and running around with other pups enjoying himself, free of pain, in perfect health and able to see everything again. Its not easy to this of the positives, but I am trying to do so and I know in time it won't hurt so much - its just a matter of time.

Well its now been just over two years that Kantu and I have been married to each other, though its actually going on over three years that we've been married within Second Life (we got married in second life a year and a day before we got married in real life).

A little back story for those who don't know anything about Kantu or I, we are a married couple who first meet on Second Life back in 2007, though not till 2008 where we officially introduced to each other though mutual friends, at a club I was working at in world.

Thought some pushing from our mutual friends he asked me if I'd like to go shopping, and well hay I was up for it because well dancing might well bring in good L at times but I was rather lacking in good places to get clothing and they happened to know of a few good places that sold clothing of a cheap nature but of good quality.

Well things moved on from there and one thing lead to another and well in time things got serious between us, serious enough that we chose to get married within second life, little did we know back then that a year and a day later we would be getting married in real life, because well we had yet to met and well that sort of thing hadn't even crossed my mind (though it apparently had his).

Fast forwards 4 months and he's arrive at the local airport and we're meeting for the first time. We spend that month together and well its like we've always known each other, sort of a meeting of souls type deal going on. Well he leaves at the end of the month and two months later he comes back and on the 11th day of the 11th month 2 hours last the 11th hour he asks me to be his wife.

At first we where going to get married the following september but do to life issues for my side of the family we chose to get married sooner, and it wasn't till the day we where getting married that I realized that it was a year a day the we'd be married on SL and actually getting married in real life, talk about slow on the up late on my own end but hay I didn't put 2 and 2 together till the day before our RL wedding.

The rest they say is history, I've got more detailed postings about us on my blog that your more then free to read and comment upon.

Well it was an interesting weekend to say the least, I do wish in hind sight that I had taken way more photo’s then where taken, such as pics of our room, some of the food we had, more fursuiters pics and in short more pics more pics more pics! But like all things that happen, taking pic’s was not night on my list of things to do at the con, as in hind sight it feels it really should have been.

I know I got several pics as we did get some to document that we where there and what not, but not as many as I know other people got ::shrugs:: happens.
