im kinda mad ngl
read a book a few years ago called The Grace of Kings, simple story that followed a made up island empire and a normal dude being made emperor by his own guile, chance ,and intervention of deities
was alot of fun decent 7/10

great characters tho the villians were always pretty bad, even when a character turn evil they just seemed lame
but man....read the sequel called Wall of Storms

858 page tome of 60 or so chapters
plot is the reign of the new emperor and the story of his children and his retainers children/students
reading through the first 5 chapters was 7/10 so far
then when I got properly introduced to the new characters if went to 8/10
but as it went on my opinion dropped lower and lower. After finishing it i give it a 4/10
its like if you took the first book and just extended, but made the characters worse!
the villians suck and overstay their welcome for how little they add to the story
characters that had major roles and presence in the last book are literal dumbasses in this book and it makes no sense
the story is moved along by dumd decisions that would not happen if given actual logical thinking
and the worts part is it is all built around trying to make strong female characters, but all of that falls flat if every character is made worse instead of actually making a compelling female lead. ITS FUCKING REY SKYWALKER BUT INSTEAD ALL THE VILLIANS AND MAIN CHARACTERS ARE REY ALL AT THE SAME TIME AND THEY ARE ALL TRYING TO BEAT EACHOTHER WITH PLOT ARMOR WHILE ACTUAL INTERESTING CHARACTERS THROW THEMSELVES TO DIE OR BE RELEGATED TO UNIMPORTANT ROLES IN THE STORY!
god fucking dammit i actually liked alot of the characters and the world building that was added to the previous story in this, but its all ruined by terrible plot hooks,padding, and poor character writing.
i look at this book with disgust now as it sits on my shelf, I will never touch it again

I actually have lost alot of zeal for pokemon these last few years, dropping the games and tcg alike, artwise I have also lagged a bit, one thing that kept me going was everyone liking alot of my pokemon drawings, but overall I have lost interest so i am planning to convert alot of my characters i really like into more flexible characters, not saying what I have created will be gone for good cuz I may just as well like pokemon again in the unforeseeable future. I apologize to anyone who followed me solely for my pokemon lewds, but i just aint feelin it rn.

also thought it would be wise to mention this doesn't mean i am not able to take Pokemon related comissions that is perfectly fine just dun expect anymore personal works from me.

things been alright, working on a new price sheet for commissions as well as my current commission plan for the rest of the year. I will be raising prices to help pay bills and whatnot.

I had a cold recently so that slowed things down but even before that things kinda have been a struggle, kinda at turning point and i've been procrastinating and havent really been a mind to do anything about it, hopefully i can get off my ass and be more productive like i used to be.....
