So, I've decided to make a mix and audition to DJ at AC 2010. (BTW, this also means that there are very few things that can keep me from attending AC this year)

So I actually already made one. 1 hour, 8 minutes long, 2,389 measures. That's 9556 beats. And sorry, there's no way I'm going to be able to post it on FA. Even rendering it at 32 kbps its 15 megs. and max upload limit is 10. I would NEVER upload anything at 32 kbps anyway, it would sound like a wookie taking a shit.

So yeah, finished a mix, then I get to looking a little closer at the criteria for picking DJs at AC. And I've got to make a new mix.

The reason being is that my mix starts off with a few Hardstyle tracks, slows up a bit into some gritty Industrial and Aggrotech, then picks up and finishes off with some happier upbeat stuff.

Turns out they play Industrial on a different night than the other two. so that takes about 25 minutes out of my mix.

SO, right now i'm working on splitting it up into two ~45 min mixes. One dark, heavy, and primarily Industrial, the other happy, hard, and rave....ey. Yeah, that's the word.

I'm going to prepare a mix and audition to DJ at AC2010!!!

The set is definitely going to include a couple originals and a lot of my heavy-hitting and darker-sounding faves. Here's to hoping I get the slot!

I got this pack with a FUCKTON of VSTs and generators and synths and everything, but I can't get FL Studio 8 to open any of the shit. Its pissing me off. And none of them come with any info on how to install them save for a couple. The rest are just .dll and .prs files. Any help is really appreciated.

Alright, with the two songs i had ideas for finished, the Uber-Goth Levi's are going into FULL SWING! The cannibalizing of the old Tripp pants is taking a lot longer than I expected it would, 4 hours of work and i only managed to get 1/2 of a pair down. but I'll keep working! These pants will be AWESOME.

So my friend upgraded his video card to some new ATI thingy and I asked him what he was doing with his old one because I'm building a new computer for myself. He said he wasn't sure and the rest of the conversation went like this:

So far I've got the case, bought 2 GB of RAM because it was on ridiculous sale at Best Buy, and now I've got the video card. I've already got my 32" LCD 720p TV that I'm going to use for the monitor, Logitech G15 keyboard, Logitech MX Revolution mouse, and Logitech x-540 5.1 Surround Sound speakers. So all I need to get this bad boy 100% operational is a motherboard, cpu, psu, hdd, and disc drive.

I think I'm going to compile this into a large project status journal footer after this.

Okay, it turns out I'm only going to be doing remixes, not covers, because this whole time I've been trying to get my voice to NOT sound like shit, even though I'm pretty sure its the equipment I'm using (cheap Logitech USB microphone).
