Also, things that have happened to me:
- Thursday night, I saw a cop chasing a guy through a red light.
- Friday morning, a customer brought in a flash drive to print stuff. There was a hidden folder filled with crappy porn.
- Saturday evening, a customer I've worked with for years gave me pizza and cookies (seen here: http://wolfnanaki.tumblr.com/post/63248771860 )
- Sunday: I finished one of my story commissions and sent the draft. So proud. c:
Also, Halloween is coming up! My favorite holiday. So hyped~ <3

Instead of asking personal, invasive questions about me, you can ask personal, invasive questions about my characters! This would be a fun way to getting to know both Nanakis, and it’d be sort of a way for me to establish their character and all that. Just remember to specify which character you’re asking what. c:

Posted 12 years agoSo my mom and dad are making the “splitting up” thing pretty damn official.
My dad’s renting a new house downtown that he’s going to use as an office, and we’re losing this house. Mom’s going to find somewhere else to stay. I can choose between living with one of them, or find my own place.
I would’ve had money for my own place, except my brother in Fort Myers needed $2000 for his moving in fees. So I’m down to about $1500. Apartments near here go for anywhere between $700-1200 a month, and I barely make $600 a month at my current job.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this scared before.

No Megaplex for me...
Posted 12 years agoSo a whole bunch of student financial obligations came up, and that ate up the money I was saving for Megaplex. So unless somebody swoops in now and tells me they cam get me transit and a place to stay, there's no way I can make it this year. Sorry. :<

This morning, my mom and brothers decided to challenge me to see how long I can go without my computer. They've taken the tower and monitor away and hid them elsewhere in the house.
This is so ridiculously frustrating, you have no idea.

Final Flub VII: Everything wrong with FF7 on Steam so far.
Posted 12 years agoSo as many of you know, I absolutely adore this game to no end. Though of course it shows its flaws 16 years after it was launched, but hell, it’s still got a memorable story and cast, great music, and it’s just a lot of fun. It’s one of those games that deserves a high-definition remaster, but Square-Enix seems to just want to shove Lightning down our throats instead to make up for the failure of Final Fantasy XIII.
So instead of remaking the game, Square has been very busy finding means of distributing the original instead. On the PS3, you can get the original PSX edition. Last year, Square re-released the PC version from their site. It went quiet and not very noticed…until yesterday, when it launched on Steam. Here’s what happened.
If you go to the game’s discussion board on Steam, you’re going to find nothing but complaints. The most common complaints are about the music, the functionality, and the DRM.
First off, the music. The video trailer for the game featured on Steam’s page has the high-quality music used in the PSX version of FF7. But instead, the game is running remastered version of the original PC game’s MIDI files. Now, the original launch of FF7 on the PC was considered a major disaster primarily because of this; the MIDI files meant the quality of the music and sound depended directly on the quality of your computer’s sound card, so the quality ranged from “oh hey this is almost as good as the PlayStation version" to “OH MY GOD MY EARS ARE BLEEDING PLEASE MUTE". The MIDI files have been updated, but the problem persists.
For those of you who have been to my streams, you’ll remember when I would try to save my game but it wouldn’t let me, right? Well guess what? That carried right over! The files aren’t saved locally, and are instead cloud-based, and they’re on Square’s servers instead of Steam’s. Square’s servers aren’t the best, so every now and then, you won’t be able to connect properly, no matter how good your connection is, and you’ll be stuck sitting around for a good 10 minutes just trying to save. CONGRATS SQUARE THANKS FOR FIXING THAT. There have also been issues with backgrounds and text boxes not loading, game not booting up at all, black screens, weird black bars at the bottom of the screen, and more.
Now, the DRM. When you play the game, you have to link either your Square-Enix account or your Facebook account. Square has its own game distribution system, not much like Steam but kindasorta, and it’s where FF7 was distributed a year ago. If you already have a Square account, then linking it is no big deal. But if you don’t, you have to either sign up for one, or use your Facebook account…and if you link to your Facebook, it asks to post on your behalf. If you don’t want to sign up for either…too bad, no game for you. Congrats on wasting $12.
Has the game been IMPROVED? Kindasorta. The translation has been redone (no more “this guy are sick"), and the game runs really nice and smooth.
But it still has that pants-on-head retarded Character Booster. And cutscenes are still the old ones from launch. It would’ve been nice if they had redone those. It would’ve been nice if they had redone the whole game. But I guess that’s never going to be the case. With all of these problems that plagued the game last year and are cropping up again this year, it feels like Square isn’t trying to let us relive a great experience we had in gaming, and are instead trying to completely sour people’s feelings towards it so we’ll stop asking for an HD remake.

I honestly thought I could be somebody special and worthwhile. I really thought I could make it out of here and write a book, or get a good education, or bring joy and happiness to anyone.
Instead all I've managed to do is throw away my money, waste years of education, and managed to kick and spit on everyone that's stuck their neck out for me, friends, family, you name it.
I'm not creative. I'm not special. I just took a Final Fantasy character, put some tits and a dick on it, and called it my own.
I don't know how any of you stand me. I'm just another creepy, retarded pervert on the Internet who beats off to dickgirls.
I have no money to go anywhere, I have no motivation to write, and I keep hurting the people closest to me.
Sorry for being a huge waste of time for you all.

Writing commissions - I should be sending out the first draft to my two commissioners soon. I sorta slammed a door on my finger the other day and now it's sorta painful to type. Sorry for the delay!
College - The college I got accepted to offered to assist with my finances, reducing tuition cost to 19k and living costs to about 10k. Coupled with living expenses and plane tickets, I would need about 35k to get there. Meaning that even if I didn't waste my money, I'd still be about 15k short. And this is my cheapest college option. So either I beg for donations, find a scholarship, or become a hooker. :U
Mom - For future reference, I would appreciate it if you guys didn't say rude or harmful things about my mom in my journal comments. I use my journal to unload my frustrations about stuff, but even though mom and I fight a lot, she still means well and is trying to keep the family and house afloat, which is more than I can say for myself. As upset as I am, I need to show her more respect if we're going to work through this.
And...that's about all for the night!
