Hello everyone! For those who might not have heard yet, my kitty Stormi isn't doing so well and we're unsure exactly what's wrong with him. We've been trying to get him scheduled for a few tests, the first of which would be a biopsy on his lymph nodes. We thought we would be taking him in today but it looks like my kitty isn't going to the vet today.

The vet wants to do all his procedures in one go on Tuesday. Unfortunately, the cost of the procedures will be a whopping 865 euros. The silver lining of it all is that we should know exactly what's wrong with him after those procedures, as well as where to go from here.

Hello everyone! Some of you might know by now that my kitty is at the vet. As far as I know, there was fluid found in her abdomen which, on further testing, seems to be caused by a failing liver, failing gallbladder, and a few other issues I'm not 100% on (Italian vet and my Italian is shaky). They also said that she's been unable to process glucose due to the issues so my poor girl is on a glucose drip right now along with a host of other medications. They aren't even 100% even after all this time on exactly WHY these things are happening and wanted to do a CAT scan as well as surgery to run some more tests. They're not exactly clear on whether she can recover, but I suspect we'll know that as soon as they can confirm the cause. The vet was almost afraid she wouldn't wake up from the anesthesia after the surgery but, blessedly, our girl is a fighter and she woke right up! I'll take that as a silver lining

TL:DR; Right now our vet total to get our kitty diagnosed and HOPEFULLY back to health is a whopping 1500 Euro which has cleared us out of all our savings for our tax accountant and we STILL owe more. We can't get her until Monday and we're not entirely sure if that number will be higher or not so I'm opening unlimited slots for now and opening up all my commission types.

NOTE: Since these will be unlimited slots and due to a special situation please be patient with me! I'm not going to take a year on it but it could take me a bit depending on several factors such as the number of commissions, details, and other commission types I am taking. I will update my Bluesky regularly and my Trello will remain up to date! Unless otherwise stated in a bulletin or on blueksy, I will do everything in the order it was received but I tend to work in batches of 5-10 at a time working through sketch, then lines and finally color.

Hey everyone! I haven't updated here in a minute, so sorry for the silence. Hopefully, everyone who is awaiting a commission has been following along via Twitter or BlueSky. I will mostly be leaving Twitter, save for text updates, in the next few days, but BlueSky will be where I post everyone and all manner of updates.

Hello everyone! My kitty is doing a bit better and thankfully she’s eating after the tube came out. She needs to go get her staple removed next week (technically she was supposed to go today but we do not have the funds for the vet so they said next week is fine). We really need to get some more meds for her and food and on top of everything our account got overdrawn by €190 due to a bill that was apparently set to automatically withdraw. The hits keep coming but I’m taking the silver lining that we might be through the worst of our girl’s illness.

As of right now I have a total of 10 commissions I believe with roughly 7 of them wip’d atm. If anyone is interested in a commission to help out

So I should probably title my last journal “4 Hours Before Disaster Struck”. Her feeding tube has snapped off ????? Right where it goes into her neck. I have no idea what this is gonna mean for us but I know we’re gonna have to get her to the vet immediately. I’m writing this while my wife tries to get in contact with the vet ;u;

No idea what this is gonna cost us but I have 2 commission slots open if anyone wants a commission to help out. What a mess honestly…. I’ll just update this journal as things progress. Sorry for all the updates I just like to keep people in the know when stuff like this comes up!

UPDATE: Finally getting her to the vet, they were busy and essentially had us unwrap her and inspect her at home. To us it looks like her whole tube came out but the vet insists that is impossible because they suture that to her. Ahaha the vet is unaware at just how my daughter exceeds expectations in the worst possible ways, though so we’ll have to take her in. She’s going in to be looked at now so we’ll see how things go and I’ll update again.

Update #2: Well the vet certainly ate their words about it being impossible. They gave her a staple and told us a good to give her a specific wet food and dry food and see if she’ll eat without the tube now. Great news she devoured the first bit we gave her \o/ we'll be keeping an eye on her and now feedings will take less time if she keeps consistently eating. I’m exhausted so this is all I have for now ;3;

Her levels appear to be doing just a bit better after this more recent vet visit a few days ago but the vet still has some concern so they prescribed new meds for her. She seemed to be doing better but today she’s backslid a bit. I will say she is steadier on her fear which is amazing!

Unfortunately, we’re sitting at €100 in meds: new meds €42 , more nausea meds because she’s not coping well anytime she doesn’t get a dose which is €30 and vitamin K which needs to be rebought every week for €10. We also need to take her back for another visit soon which is another €58. With that being said I’m leaving me commissions open for 2-3 slots more so maybe we can cover these expenses. Commissions are a bit slow because it’s practically a full time job looking after her but I am still working! I have a few I’ll be putting out soon (and I’ve completed some I can’t post).

So she’s been home nearly a week and we’ve had to take her back to the vet twice since she came home. Once because she was throwing up and we had to be sure that her tube hadn’t shifted. The second time was a checkup where they did an ultrasound and blood tests. Unfortunately her levels aren’t showing any improvement. They gave us a load more meds for her so now we have to feed her with a tube, give antibiotics, give her nausea meds and an appetite stimulant, vitamin k, and a med that is essentially an antidepressant for humans but I can’t remember what my wife said it is supposed to do for her? At this point we’ve ended up spending another 200 going on 300 for all the meds and the visits. She has another visit coming on Monday that is going to be another 58 euro + more food which is 10 euro a bottle so. It’s been a bit slower than I would have liked this week because there is so much to manage but I will be posting up 6 commissions roughly in the next two days and starting on sketches for the next 5-6.


We’re going to need more funds to manage the repeated visits to the vet and for whatever medicine they will give her next Dx as such I’m opening back up for roughly 5 slots (trying to stay under my prescribed maximum of 15 commissions at all times). Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for helping and listening through everything. I’ve temporarily paused commission slots while I work through the things I’ve taken on ;3;

As for the kitty, she is home today! She has a feeding tube and the vet has us giving her this Royal Canin Recovery Liquid every 4 hours. She’s so very wobbly and her eye sight isn’t the greatest. For sure it’s not 100% but we’re not sure if she is blind. The vet said they are not sure if she’ll recover her sight if she is or if the wobbling will ever stop but as long as she is alive and can live comfortably I don’t care ;u;

She HATES the tube so she is extra wobbly trying to whip her head all around. Right now they just told us she’ll have to keep the tube in until she starts eating and they gave us both an appetite stimulant and antibiotics. The recovery liquid we’ll have to try to find to replenish ourselves when these 3 bottles run out. It’s proving to be a little difficult since everywhere shows it as sold out. BUT we’re going to try calling around and calling the vet to see if they can tell us where to get it. Also, on the 9th we’ll have to take her to get another ultrasound to check on her enlarged pancreas and spleen.

I’ll be getting back to work and working through my queue tomorrow. Trying to spend today finding a good rhythm and monitoring her juuust in case.

So when life gives you lemons...and keeps giving you lemons...and more lemons.... You'd think you could set up shop but really all you want is less freaking lemons tbh because no one wants the lemons :((

That's my TLDR of what's happening but here is the overall update

Kitty Update:

Her liver is not getting any better, her levels are still rather bad and while my wife was able to see her yesterday she'd gotten more jaundiced and whobbly than ever. They also say that her pancreas is enlarged :( She's still not eating though she did eat a lickytreat my wife brought with her she's not really eating anything else. Now they want to put in a feeding tube, continue a round of antibiotics and MAYBE send her home tomorrow with the tube still in for us to monitor her and feed her using the tube (mostly to save on costs) if her levels even out. They believe she can make a recovery within a weeks time but of course each night she has to be there is 150 euro not to mention medicine costs, feeding tube etc. We've managed to raise some money from commissions (we currently have 380 euro) and got a bit of money from my brother in law BUT we're not sure if it's going to be enough to cover it plus this isn't all we're dealing with.....


General Everything Else Update: (Mildly Venting, TLDR Our lights might get cut and my FIL is a dick)

We still have a fine, that was the bill, a fine that was due to a random law change a month after I arrived that is due on the 12th of this month for 1k euro. We have given 550 to my FIL toward the fine and the rest kinda went to the first vet visit for the kitty as well as food/pet expenses for the month. (FIL originally said to send it to him and he would cover the rest of the fine and we could pay him back) My FIL has decided he would use the fine money toward his bills and is giving us a massively hard time about the fact that we did not send him the rest of the money, that we have not paid all his bills, that we decided to take our cat to the vet and it is costing money, and I guess just in general that we exist in the house and are not making ourself and our bank accounts subservient to him. Recently he switched electricity providers due to cost and after a month with the new provider the old one sent a bill for 475 euro(the last two months of service I assume) that is due in a few days. I don't know how electricity works in Italy BUT my father in law is now saying that if we do not pay that 475 in a few days they will communicate with the new provider and our lights will be cut off. We obviously do not have that right now considering our cat is at the vet, the fine needs to be paid by the 12th and just generally we have 380 at the time of drafting this journal. Then we add on top of that, their two cats constantly get out because they just allow them and don't bother watching them. They are unvaccinated and don't have any type of medicine to fight off ticks etc. This morning my wife found what we believe to be a tick crawling on her graphics tablet. So this of course makes her go "we need to do something about this" because ticks = bad. We have some medicine but not enough foreveryone so that's another 40 euro yet her dad not only wants to blame the VET OFFICE for the presence of the tick but doesn't seem to think it's a big deal at all and that we should not bother buying meds. He just generally doesn't seem toeven think we should have taken our cat to the vet even though she was DYING.

Since we got here we've been paying AT LEAST half of the bills and all of the food for the whole house as well as all the pet supplies for all the cats including their two cats but my FIL is convinced we do nothing and expects more and more and tbh it's got us at our limit. (Just to paint the picture of why the above is so freaking annoying)

I do want to throw out that I'm working as fast as I can but we MAY end up being without lights? I don't know? We're still working toward our kitty and this fine but I'm only going to give my FIL another 500 euro toward it and nothing more. Then we're going to be working to move out as soon as possible.

I will basically have commissions open (Up to like 15 at any given time because I'm not interested in getting too buried ;u;) until we get this all figured out or until I manage to find a job since I'm trying to get us out of here as soon as possible. My wife also has commission open. I may be doing a stream soon to sort of take some PWYW commissions if it looks like I'll have lights/internet still. Also IDK if anyone would need this but if you need someone to make some 3D assets or something for you I also can do that just lmk you're interested.

Lastly we're also opening donations because I really don't want to take on too much commission-wise. If you make a donation and would like a sketch or something in return I'm A-okay with that just keep in mind the wait might be a good bit on donation sketches since I'm not counting them as "commissions".

EDIT: So hfjsjf my FIL managed to set up an “impossible” payment plan for the lights so we’re good on that front. Thanks to commissions and a few donations we may have enough for most of what we need to take care of. We just need to come up with the remaining 500 for the fine.

We had to rush our cat to the emergency vet this morning. Her levels are alarmingly bad ,she’s jaundice, and potentially blind. Right now they’re telling us it will be €320 euro tomorrow since they’re running a bunch of tests and keeping her overnight. After all the procedures they need to do to get her well we’re looking at €800 in total.

Hello all who might still be out there watching this account. I lost access to all my accounts for so so long and finally got back in here a few days ago! :D

My Tumblr, and BOTH of my Twitters are a lost cause, though. I had one that I was working out of for a little while but recently lost access to it because Twitter decided I needed to change my password :'D. The other...I have no earthly clue how to get back into it. ;(

Anyway! Since I last posted I've lost a lot of things hard drives of old art etc. I'm combing through the dregs of what was recovered from old harddrives and going to be posting things. I have an old Trello list of commissioners and I'll be trying to reach out to folks too with files I've found in the event that they never got them and those I still have listed that I owe art to and I can't find the completed works I'll be trying to work something out via email or DM if they're on FA. While I understand for some it's been years, I still plan to make it right one way or another!

The jist of it is basically Craig has been in Italy since the first of November due to her health and I don't know when she might be able to come home. She's doing her best to help from across the ocean but it's hard between doctor visits etc. The past two months have hit us rather hard financially due to various unexpected costs totally over 2k across the two months. Top that off with the fact that my job is barely giving me 12hrs a week and I'm struggling to find another...we're in a huge financial bind all around. I'm not even sure WHEN it's going to look up honestly.

AS SUCH I'm looking to maybe take on some pinup commissions (simple clothing, tasteful nude, or nude) at $60 per slot/per character. I have a big queue that i'm working through but I'm going to aim to have these done by Valentines. I'll be working on these exclusively on Sundays and Mondays which are days I typically don't draw as I work my day job those days.

I'm ONLY doing these to help with our current situation since our rent is due in a matter of days and we're about $500-ish short right now.

So I might get evicted

Due to the job I got after the other fell through still not paying me much and taking hardly much in the way of commissions for craig and I and the car situation, we haven’t been able to pay our rent yet. We have about $250 in the bank and need (probably with late fees) $750 in 3 days or they’ll be seeking legal action and eviction proceedings.

I’m a bit at a loss for what to do. My work isn’t giving me many hours this week and last because i’m still technically a trainee, I’ve tried nearly every method I could think of until this point. I even tried seeing if I could take out some of the worst loans possible and nada. As Craig has left to see to her health with her family in italy…I’m kind of alone on this atm.

I do not want to take on more commissions (especially since I know there are a few folks I’m still trying to get refunds for) BUT I really REALLY do not know what I’d do if I got evicted right now.

So I will be opening commissions and donations if people would be so kind. Mostly because if some of you want to help but you’d also like to have something in return. just PLEASE understand my queue is very large and I’m working a job that will pick up around the holidays.
