Thing that need to be addressed I guess.
General | Posted 8 years agoRecently I've been studying on art on other aspects of the drawing the human face and body, establishing tones, etc. Reason being is that with some honest opinions: I came to the realization that my art needs to be improved if I want to take it seriously and make it more than just a hobby. So the reason you haven't seen me do my usual "doodle of the day" as it were is that now I'm trying to work on improving my art. So the things that were fairly recent will now be pushed into the scraps because I can't stand to look at it anymore without knowing the flaws that could have been fixed.
And if anyone is actually reading this journal, just a quick thanks to you. Since journals tend to be the #1 thing people ignore in their inbox.
I'll be active again, just until I've been able to show that I've improved. Until then; I'm gonna be away.Back from Irma's Mess
General | Posted 8 years agoI'm back from Hurricane Irma cutting my power and internet away. Not much damage has happened to the house since we got the metal shutters. Though the past few days have been difficult without power, especially when you're sweating all day in the dark.
But now that I'm back: I'm gonna get to work on the drawings I had sketched out, and probably work on a new prices sheet that provides more than one example this time. But I'm just gonna get back to the work I've missed and catching up with what I've missed.

Chapter Two Done, Updated Price Sheet, and other things.
General | Posted 8 years agoChapter Two of the comic Among The Anthros is finished. The series will be having its break until I've gotten back to it to continue the next chapter. I've also updated the price sheet since I wanted to do a new type of shading and lighting, and needed to change some parts in it, like examples and what I can draw.
Other things; I've just started to give myself a work schedule to stay active. So you'll be seeing me submit more content per week, which is good!

General | Posted 8 years agoSince the remaining pages for Chapter Two has been finished and will be released on a Thursday schedule, I'm going to be open to commissions soon. I have a price sheet set up as well as a ToS, so I've got the things ready, I just want to do a few things before I get ready.

General | Posted 8 years agoBack from SuperCon! I had a lot of fun! I met up with 
in their booth and bought some artwork from them and other amazing artists there!
I was also able to attend comic panels that helped give lessons on world building and visual storytelling. And met Steven from Steven Universe from a Panel! I got him to say a line from the show but I'll have to find a way to get the video from my phone to my computer to show it to the friends I wanted to show to. Met tons of amazing people and I had an amazing time there.
Something I want to update real quick is the schedule on the pages for Among The Anthros; the pages will now be every thursday, one page of course, per week. Just a change of day for the pages so it's nothing too big.
Hope you guys are having a good day! I'd like to hear how you guys are doing.
Florida SuperCon 2017
General | Posted 8 years agoI'm gonna be heading to the Florida SuperCon from the 28th to the 30th! I'm kind of excited to go with some friends of mine.
This is also a heads up for comic page submissions. By the 27th I'll be uploading some pages early so I won't miss the schedule while I'm away. The last thing I want is to leave you guys hanging on the story. And I'll want to be open for commissions when I'm back from Supercon.
Just wanted to update you guys on this.It's July 4th
General | Posted 8 years agoAnd the Canadians are confused as to why we're shooting rockets into the sky. I still have to work today, though to be honest, I don't think there would be much to do for myself for this fourth of July. I might just take some sparkling grape juice and watch the skies.
Also, I'm still planning on opening commissions, just need to set up a price sheet. I've already gotten a ToS (Terms of Service) set-up with a lot of help from 
. I just want to get started when the pages I've made for chapter 2 are finished. So I can focus on the commissions than having to juggle two types of things. So I hope you look forward to that.
What are you guys going to do today/tonight?

I've gotten buffers done for the comic and will be doing some personal work for a few days. So you'll be seeing some more Ben and Rose doing stuff outside the comics, and some more Thomas Black (My new personal character).
I am also planning doing commissions, with the help of someone who has had lots of experience with it. I'll be posting a ToS (Terms of Service) of it when I do and have a price sheet set up, but that will be done around the time I've finished the second chapter to Among The Anthros.

General | Posted 9 years agoWe're in March now and the progress on the comic is going well. Still in the sketching phase but I'm able to get as much work as I want out of the way. I'll stream some progress of it today actually. Hope you guys look forward to that.
Also, I have a question for you guys: Would you be okay seeing me draw nude stuff? Just tastefully nude stuff, or things that would be of the "blue mature" rating on this site. I've been thinking that it might help me expand on what I can do and what I can offer in commissions. (NSFW stuff is still out of the reach, like the sex and the Pr0nz) I'd really like to hear your opinion on this. And the stuff will be on this account. Not the secondary one I have that's kind of just sitting in Limbo.

General | Posted 9 years agoWe are reaching the New Year! And I have plans for this new year. No resolutions, since those can be easily broken and cheated. I plan to get to work on chapter 2 of Among The Anthros. Just need to sketch the pages, then lineart, then dialogue bubbles, all the steps needed to make comic pages.
I know late 2016 has been rather hectic, but I'm not going to let it get me down. I'm going to keep going, pushing forward into doing works, making stories, and improving as an artist. And I hope you guys are able to continue forward to 2017 and be able to strive for improvement.

I was able to spend some time with family both yesterday and this morning. For now I'll relax and take a look on my workload for chapter 2. I hope you guys are having a great time with the people you care for the most.

I'm going to get myself into the habit of drawing more since I'm in the process of getting Chapter 2 of Among the Anthros started. Got the thumbnails down and I'll have the pages to sketch, then refine the sketches, then lineing them, then doing dialogue bubbles... It's a long process...
So I will be doing that along the Holidays and such. I hope you guys can understand that work has been keeping me away for awhile. But I'm sure to be as active as I can. I've gotten tired of just submitting like one piece a month. It's getting depressing.

General | Posted 9 years agoTrying to be as active as I can on here, while balancing the hours here and my job. Some personal issues going on that have got me into a spiral. Other than that: I've been working on Chapter 2's thumbnails; the step of placing and organizing the panels for each page.
With the craziness happening it's been kind of hard to keep my mind straight. So I hope you guys understand how things might be going slow.
But I'd like to ask how you guys are doing. Anything you're looking forward to?October; My computer almost broke.
General | Posted 9 years agoOkay I think I'd like to share this story since it happened right after I submitted the comic strip;
So I was playing WoW after doing some script writing, and I moved my hand on a bottle of water that spilled on my keyboard. Rather than draining the water like I was SUPPOSED to do, I ended up wiping the keys and blowing on it. (Insert blowjob joke here)
At first things seemed to be natural, until I started moving fifteen minutes later and my taruen started going spastic. Then I logged out and the entire keyboard was going crazy. In panic I had to think of some solution. Which at first was to go to geek squad... but they only covered warranties and my computer was passed it's warranty. But thankfully my dad found a place on google maps that did computer repairs, which saved me from having more of an anxiety attack than I was already having.
I gave it to the guy and he said he'll be able to do it and he'll contact me on the price and when he's got everything settled. This is where I started to learn something about myself; having loosing a computer that was still working but the keyboard was breaking, I realized that many sources of my entertainment, work schedules, and productivity was on a single laptop. And how not having it made me feel a bit weird. Sort of like having a construction worker loose his tools and he could only use a rock and metal spear.
Two weeks of having to deal with a hurricane almost hitting, skeletons in my closet, drawing on paper only to crumble it up after being enraged, and many ideas being left on physical paper to be transferred into my laptop, I got my laptop back today! It took a bit longer since a hurricane almost hit here in Florida, but I understood why things took longer than usual. No doubt that I have 300+ messages on FA and other places and I need to restart this laptop for updates, AND THE SCRIPT STILL ISN'T FINISHED! Which is the main thing I want to get working on.
I'll be sure to use my time wisely today. And hopefully this computer doesn't go through another accident. Though one thing is for sure: Water bottles are banned from my table now...September: The Prequel to Spooks
General | Posted 9 years agoIt seems that Halloween is getting some hype even on September.
So the updates I have is that I'm still working on the script to chapter 2 and it's a bit harder than I expected. But I'll be able to do it. And I'll have some things to upload soon, just been away from my tablet for awhile.
I might think about doing streams, but I'm afraid of it being a repeat of what happened last time; which was the stream was empty and I just ended up giving up on it all together.

July Stuff
General | Posted 9 years agoAn update to what's been going on.
So I'm reaching the few last pages to Chapter One's comic and built the buffer for the last pages. So that's taken care of. But I'm also in the works of helping my friend with a comic series that they are in the process of making as well, I'll be able to give you guys the big news on that when everything on their end is kept in order.
Recently I've been commissioning artists, so I was able to figure out how paypal works, though I might still have tons of questions to ask my friends who use it.
One thing I did recently is take a look at my deactivated account of NSFW stuff and reactivated while moving the works from there to the scraps. I'm unsure on how much time will be spent on it, but I'll keep it around if the mood to draw that theme comes up. I'll let you guys know when or what is happening on that.

Got Overwatch, it's a fun game! Thinking of making silly drawings of it and posting it here like I did with my "friendos" drawing. (Also there might be another drawing on that if I get the theme and ideas down.)
Among The Anthros comic is still going along good. Just need to finish some pages for this chapter.
I've been thinking about opening commissions in the future. Since I already have a bank account and some money in it from work. Though I need to find that paypal PSA before setting one up and having a certain amount on the bank so I don't feel like it'll be gone. That and I still see that my art needs some improvements in some areas. So once I have those settled, I can open myself to commissions.
Any artists out there who have had experience with this sort of stuff, I'd like to ask you for any tips on setting up a paypal, or if any other alternatives are better? (Since Paypal has been given bad rep even by artists who use it.) Thank you. ^^

General | Posted 9 years agoOkay so the place I work has a schedule that changes weekly. So for this week I have a day off on Thursday but Friday I get back to work. Then on Saturday and Sunday I'm off. But there is a chance next Thursday I'll be sent back to work as well as Friday. So now I think I have a better idea on how to submit these pages without it being too confusing:
The pages will be submitted around the week, near Thursday through Sunday. Since one of those days I'll more likely have a day off and be able to submit them. "Why not just submit them at Friday's at certain times?" Well I work on part time night hours lasting until midnight and in the morning I'm not as focused. So yeah; that's the new-ish schedule. This won't be too much of a bother since you'll still get the weekly pages and I'll still have enough time to work on the pages themselves.
