Get yourself featured Meme.
Posted 14 years agoHere's how it works. For the first 10 artists to reply, I go into your gallery and find 3 pieces of your art to feature. Obviously, if you don't have art you don't count XD Then, you must post this meme yourself, featuring me somewhere amongst the other 10 (I don't really care where) ^^

Free Arts
Posted 14 years agoBe the next 9 people to shout on my page and get free art. Shout your request and I'll get it to you asap.Rules follow:
1 or 2 characters, doing pretty much anything. I don't really care. If it's a bit too far out of my comfort zone I'll let you know and you can request something else. The work will vary between sketch, line, shaded, color, or full color depending on my motivation. Link references if you have specifics that you really want. Your work will be posted on my page when complete, you're free to post it on yours as well as long as credit goes where it's due.
[EDIT] You can see me on http://www.watchtail.com/view.php?v=Robwolf. I broadcast almost every night after 22:00 EST
[2nd EDIT] I have received requests from Rosie, Sasha, and Kaba. They're being "processed" now. :D This leaves 7 more slots.
[3rd EDIT] Got a new router. Hopefully it fixed the problem with my stream. Old Router was constantly refreshing itself. So I kept loosing and gaining internet, which would reset the stream, which led to "You're Already Streaming" every minute or two. PROBLEM SHOULD BE SOLVED.
[4th EDIT] Rosie and Sasha's requests have been posted. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5166809 and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5166816
respectively. That leaves Kaba and Frostpaw's requests for now!
[5th EDIT] Kaba's request is being worked on. Have some more software I want to install for it. Frostpaw's and Wolfstar's are next. I dunno if Mav's Rape Rape Rape counts... I'll have to confirm. :D Aside from that. New work up.

Furloween
Posted 15 years agoI'm probably one of many making this post tonight. Went to furloween. It was good fun as always. 7th year I've been I think. First was almost no costume. Second was "me" wolfed out. Third was Russian Soldier. Fourth was busty schoolgirl. Fifth was "Gunslinger" Girl. Sixth was a vampire of True Blood. Seventh... Victorian Werewolf! Pix will be up soon. Yeah. Party Hardy.
Stream
Posted 15 years agoI've kinda started streaming, come on by to have fun, listen to my mix (i'll try and have a different one at least every week) and watch me do something. It might be art, it might be chat up with you who visit. Trolls be damned! So come visit on www.watchtail.com and look for Robwolf.
Motorcycle Also
Posted 15 years agoIt is complete. I never have to ride a god-damned Buell Blast Again. Such a POS. My left hand is killing me from holding those stiff ass clutches while waiting for the other riders to practice. It was a blast none-the-less... stupid pun, bad bike. Large bore single cylinder bikes blow. Now I just have to come up with cash or some amazing way to finance a ride. Triumph Speed Triple would rock, but i'd settle for a Z1000. Hell a classic Z1 900 would be badass.

Abu Dhabi
Posted 16 years agoI caught a taxi to the Marina Mall, went looking around saw some amazing clothes. Beautiful dresses, stuff Nass would spend hours droolling on. Then I walked over to the Abu Dhabi Palace Hotel. I'll post pictures. I then made a fun decision... walk! I walked and walked and walked. Was pretty lost, had no idea where I was going, but kinda knew where I was. I was in Abu Dhabi, somewhere. Eventually I got tired of walking, was hungry and a bit dehydrated so I stopped into the Captain Cafe. A little hole in the wall joint near the Corniche on what I now know was 4th street.
Here at the Captain I got a pastry with meat (lamb) and tomato sauce, reminded me of a cheeseless pizza ontop of a peice of Naan. Also, Rose shisha (hookah) and two bottles of water. Total cost 26AED. Thats roughly $5, Shit man, I can't get a hookah for $5 in the states! And it was good, with real coals, not that quick light compressed shit. Left a nice ass tip and took off down the street again.
Still unsure of where I was, I'm just enjoying the sights of the city, looking at all the cool buildings, enjoying the people, laughing at traffic... the fun stuff. Finally I spotted things I recognized. Turned out I was going the right way (as I suspected, but wasn't sure of) and ended up intersecting the road my hotel was on, two blocks over. Woot!
A very long walk indeed... I left at 10, got back at 3:30. I was exhausted, but it was worth it.
That night, got the least Halal meal I've ever had. The Brauhaus. Oooh yeah pig everywhere. Suckling pig, sausages, pork bellies, pig knuckles, pork chops, pork neck... ooooh yeah. Three little piggies in my belly. Along with a very nice Paulaner Weißbier. Oh I left there pretty stuffed. Mmm. Oh well. I will write you all later! Peace from Abu Dhabi.

Oman
Posted 16 years agoHavn't posted in awhile cause I've been on the road. Drove over to Fujeira UAE, spent the night, then crossed the border into Oman, drove all the way out to Muscat. I love that country, so many mountains, I'll have to post some pics. Checked out some old forts and ancient souks. Found some good deals on amazing things. You'll see some pics of the SMLEs I found as well as Martini Henrys. That night for dinner I had some delicious little critter at the safari club.
Sorry if there are any Springboks or Kudus on here, but you guys are tasty!
After the stay in Muscat, moved on to Nizwa, checked out that old fort and then kept going down the road (had to make it all the way back to Abu Dhabi). That is a long drive through some rough terrain. Finally crossed some real desert, sand dunes and all, blowing across the road.
Apparantly while I was out of AD, they had a massive sandstorm. When I got back there was sand everywhere, and they were cleaning up the mess. It reminds me soo very much of living back in Joshua Tree. I really need to get back over here and spend more time in Oman. The UAE is neat, all fancy and tech'd out, but its also busy, congested and just stressfull sometimes. Meanwhile Oman is just old fashioned, backwater, and calm. Very peaceful. The one bad thing... Omani Riyal (the currency) is very strong. It is worth about 3 USD, 2 Euro, 2.5 Brit Pound. Talk about expensive. Though, it did seem like gas was cheaper. Food was too (except for the Safari Club).
Oh well off I go, thought it is night for you all back home, it is 9am here and I'm going to check out more of AD. Peace and love from the Middle East.

Nuffin
Posted 16 years agoDidn't do shit today. Basically just chilled. Chatted with my Nass. :D Then walked to the mall, walked back learned me some Arabic on rosetta stone. Not that I can type any of it here, they don't have ANY english letters or spelling at all in rosetta stone: Arabic, talk about immersion. Anywho, catch yall tommorow. Gunna head of to IDEX again, going for the demos!
IDEX
Posted 16 years agoIn case you couldn't tell by the massive influx of weapons images and such I got to IDEX. Met some potential job opprotunities while there too. So it was worth going. I've got another week before I come home so I'll be going a few more days and getting lots more pictures, probably some action shots too.
Wandering around town.
Posted 16 years agoFun day, just kinda walked around, got lost, but not lost. I knew where I was, not where I was going. So yeah. I got a new round of guess what this is coming up. Pretty obvious one, not as hard as the Popeyes, but you will have two subjects instead of 1. Have fun! Also, going to IDEX tommorow should be interesting, already some major deals going down at the expo. Went for a dip in the pool, damn near froze my balls off, I was litterally blue! Anyways, another short one, not much to report. I'll get that pic posted so you can get to guessing or translating.
Ski Dubai
Posted 16 years agoYeah, I went snowboarding in Dubai what about it. Never mind its like 80 degrees outside. There is an indoor ski slope where it is -5C in there. One hell of a cooling bill for sure. It was a little slope, about 5 minutes on the lift up, not half bad. The mall there was cool, a huge virgin records store with all sorts of music from the region, all fairly cheap too, single disks ran about 50-60 AED roughly $12-15. Saw 5 disk Dreamtheater set for 160AED can't beat that! Went and got some pics of Berj Al Arab, the big sail like hotel in Jumeira. Also lots of images of all the sky scrapers, including Berj Dubai the tallest building in the world. It's not finished, but it is already full height.
Short post today, but I'm sure its boring most of you. Peace from Abu Dhabi!

Dubai
Posted 16 years agoI have a hard time believing I'm over 7500 miles from home sometimes. I keep being reminded by the fact that most everyone speeks Arabic and the prayer calls eminating from the mosques that are so prevalent here. Today I went to Dubai again, its about the same as driving from Orlando to Tampa, and checked out the old world and new.
There is an area known as Al Suq where you find the Souk (prounced the same and means the same thing). This is a large marketplace where you can find everything! Including Indains trying to hawk "copy watches." Yes Indians. Most of the people who do industrial work or service in this country are not Emraties. Lots of them are Pakistani, Indain, Phillipino etc... and the majority of these people are found at the Souk. This place is half tourist trap, half poor mans market, but here I can get a bunch of Saffron for 10 AED, like to see that stateside. (by the way thats like $2.70). Maybe a 1/2kg of Al Fahkeer (made here) sheesha for 20 AED (about $5 and costs me $12 in the US). Raw spices are everywhere! Fresh lamb hangs in butcher shops; boats drone down the river bringing people acorss from the otherside, fish and shrimp in from the gulf, and goods from all over the region; and people mill about making deals in languages I can't understand.
Then I went to the new Souk, the Dubai Mall. Here there is an aquarium (the largest single tank indoor aquarium) as well as an olympic size skating rink, and every major (designer) store from around the world. No Indians hawking "copy watches" here, just the real deal. I even found restaurants that I havn't seen since living in Washington D.C. over 15 years ago, of course I just ate at something simple and familiar here, CPK. *smiles* By the way, no pork in the country. Except for one restaurant that has managed to make a deal. All our American chains are here, and serve their burgers and fries and such. There is even Popeyes, Pizza Hut, KFC and Hardees! Too bad it isn't Carl's Jr. All of them meet the no pork requirment by either not serving bacon, or repalcing it with beef bacon. Yeah beef! Except this german restaurant. They can serve all the pig they want, of course there wouldn't be anything left to eat if they couldn't.
The highways are packed with all sorts of cars, and I mean packed. Traffic is more of a problem here than there, and they all drive worse than the idiots are UCF. If someone flies up behind you and flashes their lights, get out of the way. He's Emrati and has no patience for you slowpoke! People almost honk before the light goes green, I think its a competition "who honks first." There are a lot more Mercedes Benz, BMW, and tons of brands we know. Chevy is very popular, moreso than ford! I've seen cars I havn't had the pleasure of seeing stateside can also be found here. Peugeot everywhere, of course SEAT, Citroen, Renault... Can't forget the Konigsigg dealership.
Well this has turned out to be my longest journal, expect more! I'm doing this as much for y'all as I am for me to keep a record of my trip! So injoy your look into a new old world.

YAY!
Posted 16 years agoI'm in the Emrites right now writing to you live from Abu Dhabi! Just got here today after hopping on the plane yesterday. Nothing like 15 hours of flight time over 7500 miles to set you back in jet lag! Its 1am here. 4pm back home. So I'm gunna get some sleep. Tommorow I'm headed back up to Dubai to check out that city. It is fancy! Post pictures when I have 'em.
Vacationing
Posted 17 years agoI'll be headed out of country for a bit. Going to a little oasis in the desert known as Abu Dhabi. Should be pretty damn fun. Possibly going to see Fatboy Slim perform there as well as pop my head in at the worlds largest defense expo, IDEX. I'm going to LOVE it. Tell y'all about it, maybe even take some pictures with a good camera, not my little webcam (it can't leave my computer anyways.)
F'd in the A!
Posted 17 years agoI had to reformat my compy, nasty virus and all. Backed up everything to an external drive. Got the computer running again, and before I could transfer all my stuff back, the external got dropped. Physically corrupted. AWESOME.... yeah. So 3 years of work gone. Models, drawings, engines, game saves... EVERYTHING! *cries* Oh well. I guess that means I have to work twice as hard to get everything back together. I think I'll start with the porn collection. J/K.
Getting it together.
Posted 17 years agoI've been on FA now for quite awhile, now I think it is time I started putting some art up, starting with shit I've done, and things I need to complete. First though, I must find my stylus!! Tricky little thing has run away from me. You'll be seeing a bit more work from me up here in the next few weeks. Gotta get back in the art producing mode, damn my lazyness.
