Does this one come as a surprise... I seriously doubt it, but you mean so much to me... you are part of the immediate family, having been accepted the first time they met you. Without you, your kindness, your support, your love and your sillyness to guide me, comfort me and push me along when I wanted to drop everything, I would just have plodded along aimlessly!
2. Stoelbank & Tazz -
Stoelie, for someone so much younger than me, you show so much more constraint and adultness than I have in me. We shared pain, laughter and silly things and I have reserved a special place in my heart for you. I know I can be a jealous piece of shit and bash your head in with cynycal and sarcastic remarks... but I mean well... I honestly do! Be safe, take care of yourself!
Tazz, you kindhearted short little big guy! You have the kindest heart inside your chest, you have a sneaky disposition and a smile that can shatter a thousand gloomy days. You give me so much joy just by talking to you and I have missed out on a lot of fun, because I met you way too late in life! You aren't where you belong at the moment and you need to be free... I hope you will be soon, because it will open your mind to the world outside and let your spirit fly and soar!
3. Garrodor & Kwisa -
Garr, my bearbear protector :) One of the kindest people I know, one of the most closed people I know too! Your friendship and compassion means so much to me... and it would mean so much to a lot more people if you but showed a little of who you are to them. For now that is both their and your loss, but you are opening up slowly and you don't know how proud that makes me of you!
Kwisa, you silly old kid! Thats what you are, a kid... with an afro... and your heart in the right place. We've been through a lot over the years and we shared countless events and fun things. You mean a lot to me, as you are easy going, kind, funny at times and also pretty annoying :P But that makes you you, you are honest and open... just as it needs to be :)
4. Twll & UK bunch -
I name you as one entity... because you always almost travel in a pack anyway :P You have take the time to visit a total stranger, in a strange country and brought so much laughter, happyness and sillyness to my life. I learned to see what I missed so much in my life... and that sense of family, pride and the bond of compassion, love and affection... is the strongest I have ever felt. Thank you!.. For bringing out the best and the worst in me :)
5. Kaelin & the Gang
Kaelin.... where would I be without you and your outspoken honesty and sunny disposition in life? I would still be living the lie I created for myself. You are a man of compassion and sillyness with a good head on stocky shoulders... and I will always be thankful for what you did for me! I will never forget!
The gang... the gang are all the friends I didn't get to mention... people that already know they mean a lot to me, people I have chats with, people I laugh with, that visit here and that make my life so much more lively! You guys manage to make me smile, feel loved, share compassion and affection and so much more! Without you... I would never have become the man I am now. Posted 15 years agoFriday... the day to post number 5 of this 10 day meme! Bare with me here... we are halfway there ^^
1. Study to become a teacher... a lost year where I learned almost nothing at all. I should have listened and gone to acting school, like everyone said I should!
2. Listen to my groin, instead of my head and heart when I met up with the first gay guy I had a date with. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
3. Tell a friend that you can't force love on someone. It has to be mutual in the first place, love doesn't just grow out of nothingness, it needs a seed. He didn't listen and I ended up being right, but losing a very good friend anyway.
4. Bought a second fursuit when I really didn't have the money for it... or well, I didn't anticipate the bills that I got smacked over the head with JUST when I got the suit.
5. Quite my diet while it was actually paying off... I like good tasting food too much to let it go and I lost discipline!
6. Ate so much garlic bread and lasagna when friends came over... I fell asleep in the chair only 5 minutes after I finished a very, very yummy lasagna!

This one takes a bit of soulsearching on my own behalf.. I never thought about it before!
1. The most important one of all... be yourself! Always and in everything... the shit and the glory!
2. Be kind, warm and gentle, but also have a wicked side... Don't be all good, have something kinky/naughty/wicked/villainous.
3. Have a sense of humor that stretches beyond jokes about pee/poop/name calling and other facepaw actions.
4. Be a good cook, or at least enjoy cooking. Cooking can only be done through love... so food goes a long way!
5. Live your own life! Don't rely on me or others to make your life fun or complete, do your own thing and have fun doing it.
6. Be honest, even if it means you will hurt me. I'd rather be hurt now and get over it quickly than have to hear about it months later and have it drag on.
7. Be creative, open, honest and above all respect everyone for their views in life even if yours differ completely.
8. Chocolate Caramel Shortcake works like a charm! ^^

Lets see if the following are things you didn't know about me :)
1. My favorite colors are black, red and gold.
2. I fought and beat cancer.
3. Contrary to what some may think, I can be a complete and utter asshole at times and when I am, I like being one too!
4. My zodiac is Aries and most of what they say about Aries applies to me... hot headed, stubborn, strong willed, impulsive and impatient... but also adventurous, quick witted, dynamic and determined.
5. I used to lie about who I really was, making up things just to have as many people as possible like me.
6. It took me 28 years of living to finally realize that living a lie is not living at all.
7. I have a very low self esteem and at times I still try to prod people for uplifting compliments so I feel somewhat better.
8. I am attracted to men and women, but when I say men, I mean manly men... not sissy boys with a lisp or a limp wrist.
9. When I love someone or something I do so with my whole heart. I give my love and affection to those that I feel deserve it. Which usually comes down to people that are themselves and true to their heart. I see them as like-minded and original.

An overflow of ideas...

It is the time of year... Autumn, that puts my creativity into overdrive!
While I have more than enough creative outputs currently to actually do stuff... there are a few things I would long to do... if only I had the time and the space to do so!
One of the things is next years Fursuit Theater story... and while there are tons of ideas and names coursing through my head... it is currently too early to dedicate my time to it...
All I can say is that all that I want to write will be written and that it will be one story I will not forget myself!
The only thing I didn't take into account, is the fact that the story will have absolutely NO connection to the con's theme...
Do you think that makes it any less cool? If you were to go to a con, would you expect everything (entertainmentwise) to be catered to the theme?
I'm not worried, not in the slightest, it will be cool... it will be an awesome time to create with so many creative and professional people... yet still, it was one of those questions that sort of wiggled itself into my thoughts!
As of yet, I will continue to write the character's backgrounds first... the synopsis for the story is almost done as are most of the ideas for scene transitions and short intermissions... Its good fun... that at least is certain!

Depleting my energy with all things cool!
Posted 15 years agoArf! Yeah... where to start when the Journal title really says it all already:) I've been busy creating lots of creative stuff over the last few months. I've dedicated my time to work on something for the upcoming Eurofurence convention in September and I've had to deal with some private matters as well as work being a total cow at times.
Needless to say, I've started to feel my levels of energy depleting at an alarming rate. Not only that, but I've lost track of some of my friends in the process, dedicating more time to my pet projects than I did to my friends.
That said, I have already cut back on the number of "friends" that hung around, being nothing more than dead weight, cause if all it takes to be my friend is to say 'Hi' at least once every month, than I would be a rather shallow individual.
I'm sorry to those people that I hurt with my ignorance, my absence or my obstinate stubborn behavior and perfectionism... but I can't and will not change who I am for the sake of others. Take it or leave it I guess..
After EF, I am going to take it slow and regain some energy... easier said than done, seeing work will still be a cow and there are at least 2 more projects outside of work that I really want to sink my teeth into. Projects with friends and dedicated people set out to outdo themselves and make sure that what they do will give other people a blast.
Anyways... tons of things still left to do... and I will see this whole thing through even if I have to do so by bleeding, crying, sweating and overall collapse for trying :)

After 6 years of hard work, trying to help other people come up with good ideas for their games, I managed to get my own game on the rails.
Got into contact with Microsoft and I'm currently hard at work at making the script ready for a final read through.
Deadline is the 25th of June... and I'm working like mad to reach it!
Art is all 2D with some 3D animations being rendered to look like 2D...
Story, although I can't say much, will revolve around a murder investigation during some weird unnatural occurrence!
Before things will get any brighter... they will first... get a lot darker!
I'll try to keep this Journal updated as to when, what and where...
All I can do now is bounce and work even harder at getting it finished in time!

Posted 16 years agoFor a while now I've been walking around with the idea of having Shay drawn in a more realistic sense of the word. When I first saw Shay myself I smiled and that smile is still the same when I see him now, but for some reason I'd like to get him immortalized in a more realistic form in contrast to the funny toony art I already have of him.
The thought in my head is of Shay looking up from reading a book ...
I know some very good artists but most are very busy with loads of stuff already... and at the times I get the chance to ask them, I forget... doh!
But I just can't shake the thought of having it done. Thats all really :)

I'm one of those people that LOVE Autumn...
The colors, the rain, the smell of the forests after a rain-shower... Simply priceless.
It might be because I am at heart a loner, someone that can enjoy himself without the influence of others. That said, I do love to be around my friends but I can just as easy make due with just myself and the nature around me.
A shame that, for me at least, I live in Holland. Simply because Holland just isn't know for its hills, forests and wildlife... We have windmills, large flat areas and pastures... can be cool for some, but I'd rather move to a place where I am surrounded by nature.
Autumn doesn't make me moody, it doesn't make me feel down or lonely... but it does make me yearn for a wood cabin in the middle of a huge forest overlooking a cliff in a bay in Canada or something. Something where you open your eyes and smell the freshness of how life could be. No fast paced life, no nagging people that need attention like they need food...
Perhaps... the future has something like that in store for me... who knows.
I guess now I will have to make due with what life has given me. I am healthy, I have a lot of good friends... my loved ones are healthy and happy... and life in it self, is treating me well. What more could I wish for?
I have no idea, but if in the near future I will find someone to share my life with and who shares my views on life in the most feral of thoughts... I think my life will then be complete.
Lift that chin up everyone! There is no use crying at the rain, cause it won't stop because of your tears. Use your energy for something that makes you feel good and stop dwelling on the past. There are so many thing in life that make it worth living and like I always say...
'If you keep your face warming in the sunshine.... Shadows will always fall behind you!'

Work is being a bitch for a bit, lots of stuff coming at me at once and since I am doing it alone, it can be a bit chaotic.
I am surrounded with a lot of friends these days, which is really cool to experience. Some of my dearest friends are so far away, that its sometimes pretty rough to cope with. But given time, I am sure it will be fine. Gives a whole new meaning to meeting up with your friends.
So... plans for 2010...
FC 2010... is in the planning... 80%
Confuzzled 2010.... 50%....
Megaplex 2010... is about 99% sure...
EF 16 ... will be there 100% if the registration doesnt fill out in record time again.
And about Confuzzled where I want to go really badly... its just that I might not have enough free days left.
Oh well... hope to see a lot of people at the cons above and just by meeting up with them where ever I get the chance to do so!

I always forget that I can write journals on FA too.. Not that they are so awesome or anything.. but reading crap back from almost a year.. kinda made me want to update this!
So.. hows things? Well things are good... several minor issues left out of the good vs bad equation. Looking forward to EF in a couple of weeks... gonna be one hell of a great party, with tons of friends I haven't seen for a year... and lots to do.. with too little time to do it all in unfortunately!
Well if you see me walk around the EF hotel... gimme a poke.. don't jump me or I'll make you wish you hadn't.. perhaps they'll find what is left of you after the next ice age ^^

Sorry for the overload of new pics all of a sudden. We went suiting yesterday on a sunny sunday to Castle Loevestein in Holland. We had great weather, a great crowd and a really nice medieval setting.

Been a while!

Its been awfully quiet here on my FA gallery thingy.. I know... my job has been swamping me with years of work and although I love developing games, it is something that draws more from you than just time!
I am not complaining tho.. its something that I never knew could take so much of my creativity and make my mind twist and turn to come up with original content. Writing quests, writing a meandering story that encompasses a history of a digital and imaginary world, it is so cool.
It also means that I didnt have a lot of time to go suiting with others, or even visit them. That also means, less pics! But!... there is a but coming yeps... plans are in the making to go to a lot of people in the coming 2 months.. and the pictures will be a silent witness to cool suitings and meeting cool people!
On a note of personal health... cancer has lost the battle.. and I emerged victorious! It has not resurfaced and the next checkup is not but for 6 months, just after EF 14. I doubt it will return, but I will be an ever vigilant combatant of this disease.. never will I give in to it.
So, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and nice springy April!

Its been awfully quiet here on my FA gallery thingy.. I know... my job has been swamping me with years of work and although I love developing games, it is something that draws more from you than just time!

I have been asked by a lot of people what has happened to me, why everything turned quiet. The thing is, I had/have cancer and have been dealing with it to my best power and knowledge available. It all worked out in the end and I'll be alright in a few weeks/months time.. have to wait till February 20th 2008 before I get the all clear.
So now all of you know :) Things are going great at the moment, there are some minor crappy things such as the costs of treatment and other lame things that come your way when you move to a new place and such.. but those are easy to sort, since it is only money! ^^
Big hugs for the holiday season.. may you be embraced by warmth, love and lots of cookies!
