Everything shall go Extinct
General | Posted 4 years agoAt birth, male Ceratiidae are already equipped with well-developed olfactory organs that can easily detect scents in the water. These sensitive olfactory organs help to detect the pheromones that signal the proximity of a female.
Male Ceratiidae are significantly smaller than their female counterparts, and due to their smaller size, they tend to have trouble finding food in the deep sea. This necessitates his quickly finding a female to prevent his death.
When he finds a female, he bites into her skin and releases an enzyme that digests the skin of his mouth and her body; causing the pair to fuse down to the blood-vessel level. The male then slowly atrophies, first losing his digestive organs, then his brain, his heart, his eyes, until he is nothing more than a pair of testicles. He then releases sperm into the female's bloodstream, initiating egg release.
This extreme sexual dimorphism ensures that when a female Ceratiidae spawns from her mother, she has a mate readily available.

General | Posted 4 years agoI can recall a night, around 2010 perhaps, laying awake in bed as the late hours turned to the earlier ones. It was completely dark in my room, aside for the foggy orange glow of the street lamps outside, diluted by the crackled film of my windows.
Despite being awake, I had no distractions before me, no phone, no computer, no television. It was just me laying in the dark, in a comforting moment of clarity; the kind of moment where you aren't really living, but more so drifting. I had no worries, at least none I can recall in the present moment then, I couldn't tell you what I did that day or what had to be done the next.
I was just simply being.
Slowly, like a gentle wave rolling upon an empty shore, I heard the dulcet rumble of a commercial jet; barely audible through the second story ceiling. It was rumbling thousands upon thousands upon thousands of feet above me. It was then I realized there was an entire world flowing and moving and changing around me, all the while I was simply drifting, a small being of beings in a vast world, a vast universe of things bigger and smaller than me.
It made me smile.
I didn't hear any noise from downstairs.

Is it gay?
General | Posted 5 years agoIs it gay to give “thank you” shouts to people who favourite your artwork?
Even if you try to do it in a in a unique way, or try to put a spin on it?
Do your Nintendo tapes only last five years?
Does it matter if you set them on chairs or put the controllers on the floor?

General | Posted 9 years agoand yet my Halo game still takes forever to fucking load.
Thanks
General | Posted 9 years agoI know there has been a lot of frustration towards the staff of FA over the password resets, and I know a lot of people are still locked out of their accounts, but I do want to say that it can't be an easy task for a lot of these guys trying to help people on an individual level.
From my experience with having to have my account email reset, the staff is working diligently and carefully trying to get the accounts back into the hands (or paws, HURR HURR FURRIES GUIZE) of the respective owners.
I do want to say thanks to the FA staff member Asianeko for both taking great care in protecting my account as well as to help me get access back into it, even though I had issues with my email.
Be as patient as you can guys, I know the furry pron won't fap to itself, but give the FA staff some time.

Now and Then
General | Posted 13 years agoEvery now and then I hear faint rumblings outside. I like to pretend it's distant thunder, although I know it's really just the neighbors bringing in their garbage cans after this morning's pick-up.
Although
General | Posted 13 years agothe change is very slight, I can feel the coolness of the air that surrounds me.
It's high time that the temperature begins to drop, the hot days in September...I don't even want to think of it.
Also considering October is one of my favorite months, it's perfect that the weather is getting just right where I want it to be. It'll be nice to cuddle up in bed with only the glow of my laptop and a small candle providing light as I read Creepypastas and stupid scary stories.
I love October.

Way to Blue
General | Posted 13 years agoOne of my favorite moments of the night is when you finally turn out the last light in your home, and the only light left is that of the dull blue glow of the screen. The soft, almost inaudible, hum of the electricity running through the machine is a fitting soundtrack to the scene.
I accidentally poked my armpit in the shower
