I got this note from FA today in regards to a pic I did titled "Mother and Cub":

“Acceptable Upload Policy: Section 2.12 - Content featuring minors, if there is nudity or sexual activity present, is prohibited. Minors are real or fictional humanoids with a childlike body or younger than 18 years old, and talking or feral animals which are similarly immature.” We take reports of child/cub porn very seriously as this can not only effect the site but also its users legally. You cannot post any media that depict minors in sexual situations.

This is a Warning Notice.

Now my original knee jerk reaction was not to be mad ad FA, they were just doing their job, and in their place I would have done the same. Instead I was going to be mad at the individual that reported me.

Then I read it again: "...if there is nudity...present..."

Oops ^.^;

I apologize for making a mistake like this and while I feel there is nothing wrong with the image, I apologize for breaking this rule and it won't happen again.

I am a little surprised though, that particular pic has been up for a few years and someone finally notices now?

A bit of an update for you all.

I just spent all day, well most of the day, coloring in the lines on all the commissions. Felt like it took forever >.< So tomorrow I'll throw on a quick background (on the two pics that don't all ready have one) and post them off an on tomorrow night.

It has occurred to me that it has bee a while since I thanked you all for the fav's you sent my way. I used to thank each an every one of you individually but sometimes there are tons of them. So let me once again say thanks for all the fav's and comments on my work. I appreciate each and every of of them :D

I've done a few in the past, so I'm toying with the idea of offering simple model sheets as an official commission. Nothing too fancy, pretty much a front and side view, with the option of a back view if needed. I have a fairly clean style so I think they would turn out okay.

I'm not sure what I would charge yet, but I think my pricing breakdown would be something like this:

Front view
Side view
Back view
Other side view
Details

They would be done in color, without shading. The pose fairly simple, something that shows off the figure, and I'd probably offer a nude and cartoon nude version, or give the buyer a choice. Also I'd give the buyer looks pencils before inks and such.

At the moment I feel a little hesitant to offer them, but it could be a fun diversion.

Thoughts?

Well Fur Squared has come and gone. I knew it was small, just not how small. Reminded me old Furry Connection North a little. Artist's Alley was small, but I had no problem getting in on Saturday. Could have got in on Friday too, but my anxieties got the better of me. On the plus side there was both a mall and a Toys R Us within walking distance. I now have many little people, mostly the second series of Spongebob minis, but also a few minions from Despicable Me. Gotta love the minions :D

So yeah, for me the con had it's ups and downs, then again, most cons are like that for me. I had fun though, so WooHoo for that.

Seeing as it's still President's Day for 31 minutes, I thought I would remind people that my sale s still going on until the 26th, or thereabouts, I just finished the first few commissions, but I'm still open for more. Any and all commissions are a great help, thanks :)

I really should have posted something new for 2015, but things have conspired against me, mostly getting commissions done and a lack of sleep. I have a few more commissions to get out of the way, hopefully by the weekend. So my first art of 2015, meaning something drawn for the sake of drawing, should pop up next week.

Also, my first sale of the year will pop up next week also, so keep an eye out for that.

I know I probably don't have enough followers who are into MLP to get a good number of replies, but I'm still curious what people think. And I know people can be passionate about their MLPinions, so please try to be civil to each other.

Now, I wouldn't consider myself a brony, I have other reasons for picking up the few pony related items I have (like a minor obsession with things in small bags that don't show you what is in them), but I have liked what I saw of the show. For me this means roughly through second season(?) Here's where the poll comes in, and it's pretty basic.

Twilight Sparkle: Unicorn or Alicorn?

Now for me, the answer is Unicorn, and not just because I haven't seen the episodes where she changes. The big reason is that making her an alicorn changes the whole dynamic of the mane 6. It used to be two of each type, but now Twilight has ascended to a higher level of power and eventually she'll have to move on and accept her new position, possibly leaving the others. Also, from what I've heard about it, I can't see a good reason for the change aside from toy sales.

So yeah, that's the question, Should she have stayed a unicorn, or is it cool that she moved on to her new level as an alicorn?

As an aside, before they did what they did with Twilight and I had heard Ms Fausts idea for Celestia and Luna, I had a theory about how the Alicorns came to be. I decided that they kind of spontaneously transformed, probably after some great act of courage, or whatever. It wasn't something you could do on your own, and even trying was a mark against you. Of course then they introduced Cadence and my theory was shot out the window.

And I'm not dead...And nor is anyone else, which is a good thing.

I did however come back with a bug of some sort, nothing major, but with just enough lethargy to slow finishing up the commissions, I should get to them shortly though, so keep an eye out for the results :D

Okay, first of all let me say thanks to everyone who has helped be out with getting artwork from my sale. And a big thanks to Tazel and Velaala, they know what they did :) For the rest of you who were on the fence about it, you still have a few days to get in on it AND now all pics will be color!

That said, on to MFF itself. Once again my plans are to (hopefully) park myself in Artist's Alley all three days. What can I say, I like doing art for people. I plan to do sketchbooks, but I'm also planning to bring some badge sleeves, They won't be laminated, but with my way there is nothing stopping you from getting it laminated afterwards, like at FedEx Kinko's, or whatever they're calling themselves now. I'm also considering "cheap ass" badges, which is essentially my take on stick figure badges. We'll see how that goes.

Now I am unlikely to have anything new this year, unless I draw something up in the next 7 days (I don't have high hopes :( ), so I am bringing the pre-printed art cards, the B&W prints and the old mini-porn comics (maybe) for one last fling. Ultimately they are there to help show off my artistic ability, but if I can sell a few more, WooHoo!

So that's the plan, and assuming I can get in, stop by and say hi and maybe buy something ^.^; And don't be too upset if I don't recognize your name right away. I'm sometimes lousy with names, but am better with faces :)

Yep, my scanner is not talking to the computer again. I did everything I knew to do and nada. I think my last solution is to try it with the laptop...I'm not optimistic.

I do have alternative options if needed, so I should at least be able to get the pictures scanned for the latest sale. I just wish I knew if it was the scanner itself or something in the computer.

And to those who have generously tried to help me out with suggestions and advice, I nothing about how these machines work (yes, to me they're still pretty magic drawing machines), so any suggestions tend to go right over my head :( Still, if you want to try, I'll try to give you as much info as I can.

Looks like I may be using some of my furfest money, money hopefully earned at furfest, for a new scanner.

UPDATE: Okay, I couldn't get it to work, but a housemate had no problem. This scanner is gonna drive me nuts >.<

Okay, it's not really bouncing ^.^;

As it turns out, the problem wasn't with the computer, it was with the scanner, which was a scanner, printer, fax set up. Turns out the computer won't even recognize the scanner if a part of it was wonky, and the printer part was wonky. On the plus side, the scanner I was using before, which thankfully didn't get recycled yet, is working being plugged into a different port. So things are back on track and fingers crossed that things work out for the time being :)

What fun, not the "new" scanner is starting to do the same thing as the old scanner, which is basically not recognize that there is a scanner there. So this probably means no new art posts for a while, unless I use the wacom tablet to draw (which I admittedly hate), and probably no sale to help me get to MFF, unless people wanted B&W art snail mailed to them.

Oh well...

Yeah, that's the plan. You see I want to try to make it to MFF this year because I could use the change of scenery, also I like hanging out in Artist's Alley. The tricky part is, as always, scraping up the money to go. I know how much I can scrape by on, and if I'm lucky, I can manage that. I just need to decide what kind of sale I can offer.

So I stopped in there earlier today and they were giving out Dracula Untold goodies, a poster, a window sticker and a drawstring backpack. I didn't think to much of the poster and sticker, but I'm sometimes a sucker for backpack-type carryalls, so I grabbed one of those. Out in the car, I took a gander at the plastic bag it was in and this passage caught my eye.

WARNING: This product contains chemicals, including lead, known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

All I have to say to this is what does the state of California know that the rest of us don't?

And for the record, it is still in the plastic bag it came in, which has TWO separate warnings about how the bag is dangerous to children and babies. Though oddly enough, only one of them says to dispose of the bag immediately.

It's something where you do an ink drawing a day for the month of October. Wish I had heard about it sooner, I might have taken a stab at it. Ah well, maybe next year.

And yeah, 7 days into the month is probably a little late to start.
