Life, Canfurence, and Whatnot
Posted 8 years agoFigured I'd post a journal since I never friggin do it and I probably should more. Or not at all. Whatever. That's the beauty of the internet, right?
Been keeping busy, working and whatnot. I need a new, better job so I've decided I'm done with settling. It took some time, but better late than never and you know, the job market is quite discouraging. Although my sense of apathy about the whole thing still remains, I've decided that I don't care about rejection and I am going to be my regular, persistant, annoying self and refuse to settle until I finally get that new better job because let's face it- where I'm working right now is a goddamn hole and I'm done with the BS. If there's one thing I got from the position I currently have, it's a low bullshit tolerance. Which is a good thing, I think. I think that's the beauty of aging and general life experience, caring less and less about what other people think. In the end, you have to do what makes you happy. Hence - my fursuit!!! lol
Speaking of fursuiting and doing what makes you happy, I really really want to go to Canfurence this year. I haven't registered yet and I have no set plans, but boy I'd love to get that set in stone. I guess I'm a fur whether I want to admit it or not, cons are homes away from home, the best mini vacations. I mean come on, who wouldn't wanna be a wolf for a weekend??
Anyone else going to Canfurence? Do you have your room/roomie situation figured out yet? How is everybody doing?

Oh Why Hello There
Posted 9 years agoI figured I'd make a journal considering it's been ages since I've posted any real info up here.
Life has been going well! Plugging away at work, my best friend recently got married, all is well on the home front.
In terms of the fandom, I've also made a big decision recently... to commission a full suit!!
It was a pricey decision but let's be real here people... I've wanted a full suit this whole time. Wom 2.0 is coming within the year... Can you believe it? Are you excited?? CAN YAH FEEL IT, PEOPLE??! Don't get me wrong, I love my current head/partial. But we all need change after a while.
There will be more updates as the situation progresses, but it's in the works and I'm happy to support an awesome local maker... Those of you who know me locally already know/can probably guess who it is. But that's a journal for another time.
Just thought I'd share a little bit with all of you who still watch me, as I so rarely post up on here anyway.

It's been a while since I've posted anything, been a little inactive on here lately.
A lot of stuff has happened since I made my last post 6 FRIGGIN MONTHS AGO but what can you do, life's like that. Gotta keep on truckin' and all that jazz
Since I've posted I've been across the country travelling for a wedding, and doing a bunch of other stuff, working mainly.
I went to AC 2015 VIKING INVASION with the crew, the awesome marcazoid, Wolfery and chubby9302 among others. Although the entire convention was a blast I finally got to meet 
Iceshadow13 in person for the first time at the parade which was so so cool, not only is she great to interact with in terms of commissioning but she is JOKES irl and it was definitely a highlight
I totally know what other furs mean by Pittsburgh feeling like a home for us. Never did I expect such acceptance. It was fantastic. I have many more stories to tell about that con but I'll save it for another time (I'm much better at telling stories in person anyway).
It's starting to get to be that time of year again where the weather starts to get a bit chilly and I am STOKED on it. Fall makes suiting a lot easier!! With this of course comes the annual preregistration for FE. The gang has already started to gather for it haha, the hotel situation is already set. Ahhh.... Nothing like a good local con. I hope to make an appearance at the next Islington meet but I'm not sure about that.
I've already bored you all with enough blah.

...I'm so excited. I hope I will get to see everyone! I found out that the bf is going to be coming for the day on Saturday so that will be interesting. He's a non-fur, and also extremely sweet to embrace such a seemingly 'odd' part of me. Such a great person in general oh man.
Until then, it's a few more days of work and then BAM. I have been looking forward to this weekend since I left FE last year. I had only gone for a few hours on the Sunday, but when I went I just knew... I knew I had to be in one of those fursuits... The wolf in me has been coming out ever since. It has helped me a lot, and it has improved many aspects of my life.

New Journal and Stuff

2014 was quite a year for me, I gained a lot of amazing new friends and a partial fursuit! Lost a job, but gained insight. For every loss there's a gain, at least to some degree. I also gained a new niece! I am very thankful for everything so no complaints here!
As January continues it's difficult not to think about the upcoming Furnal Equinox!! I'm gonna give so many hugs, it's gonna be insane... All of the huggles!!!!

Wow it's already December

I just got back from the FE Christmas party and as usual it was a good time. Got to chill with the home slices from Friday until now and it's always nice to see them. Sucks the Wolfery couldn't join though, as he would have made it that much better :(
I kinda feel like it definitely was cut short though :( It would have been nice to chill for another night, but what are you gonna do? I just appreciate that I have such good friends who I get to see at least see once in a while, even though commuting is a pain in the ass. I also appreciate that they deal with my half-deafness, bullshit rants, and lame sense of humour XD
All I know is, I win.
.... I really want Michael to come home so we can play MK8 and SSB.
