Sorry for not posting anything recently. I was away in BC. I won't go into details about my trip on here because I don't want to type forever, but it was amazing! and I'm TIRED AS FUCK. Ugh.

I hope to see some of you at the Islington meet this weekend. It will be the debut of my partial and I am STOKED.

Anyway, updates and such... Still job hunting, like most of the people in my age bracket. It's a slow process but what are you gonna do eh?
In a couple weeks I'm heading off to Vancouver Island, so I'm pretty pumped about that too. I've never been West of Ontario in Canada before so it should be pretty cool.
Also looking forward to debut my new head at the next Islington meet which should be fun!

Job applications and whatnot. It's odd to not have to go to work... But I must say I don't mind being able to sleep in a bit, so that's nice. But yeah, good times.
I turn 24 this coming Thursday, so there's that. As far as birthday celebrations go, I'm not really doing anything which will probably be nice lol.
Tomorrow I'm out with the fur buddies for meatcoma madness (Lancaster Smoke House in Kitchener), where we will go and be in our wolfie, carnivorous glory. I'm excited about that haha. After that it's just beers and such with a few friends. fun times to be had, I'm sure.

Posted 11 years agoYesterday I lost my job. It's pretty shitty, but I took the day to reflect (and maybe drink a little).
I got 9 months of experience at my job, and the experience I got was great. I worked with great people and I loved what I did. I'm so happy to have had that position, albeit for a short amount of time.
I will be okay, folks! Luckily I've got a great support system - friends and family who are willing to help me out by keeping their eyes out for more positions, or they are just there for me in case I need a shoulder. I know at least a few of you will read this journal, so just know that I am so thankful for all of you.
I realize I am extremely lucky to have my support system. Nothing I could say would be enough to thank you. The only thing I can and will do is offer my own support in your time of need!
Anyway, if anyone knows of any technical editor/writer positions in Toronto, or just any administrative job really, let me know! I figured it doesn't hurt to spread the word out, right?
In other news, I hope everyone is doing well. I can't wait for the Islington meet in August, because I'm about 95% certain that it will also be the debut of my long-awaited fursuit head! WE'RE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS HERE PEOPLE. Of course any and all hugs will be appreciated and reciprocated! This rule still applies when I'm out of suit too, ya know :)
So yeah, if any of you fuzzbutts are looking to find a new addition to your workforce team, gimme a shout. :)

Where to begin........
Well, I was sick for a couple of weeks a little while ago. It was some crazy gas shit. Normally gas is fun because farts are fun, but this was NOT fun. I felt like the dude from Alien, who got impregnated by the face hugger, except the painful bubble of gas didn't give me the relief of bursting out of me. It was horrible and painful, I couldn't sleep or do anything without a lot of discomfort. There were no huge farts or burps to relieve me, rather it escaped very slowly through tiny burps and farts over a period of about 2 weeks, give or take.
Anyway enough of THAT tmi (my apologies if you really didn't want to know).
Despite my condition, I did make it to the annual Islington fur meet, before which I went for lunch at The Mandarin with marcazoid, who was SO generous and drove me (thank you thank you thank you) and chubby9302! All that amazing food was awesome, unfortunately it came with dire consequences, but more about that in a moment.
Before the meet marcazoid let me try on his fursuit head and OH BOY LET ME TELL YOU I WAS SO DARN HAPPY. It was amazing. I know it seems kinda lame but I love almost everything about fursuiting and I am so excited to be the wolfie I am. I got a taste and it was sooo good (or was it the aftermath of The Mandarin? Who knowwwsssss *creepy Twilight Zone music**).
After lunch the three of us made our way over to the meet, and it was cool to get together with more local furs. Man, Idk where I've been. It was great to see all the friendly faces and fuzzbutts. I'll never get enough NES, and I've come to the conclusion that I need to buy my own set of Cards Against Humanity ASAP.....
As I mentioned earlier, the dire consequences of the delicious food: The gas bubble had taken a brief hiatus at this point, but unfortunately came back FULL THROTTLE (and not in a good 'don't worry I can release it' type of way). I was going to go out for beers and wings with the guys but it wasn't worth the risk. So back home I went (I live about an hour's commute from Islington station). Of course part of the Yonge line was closed so I was sick and packed onto a hot bus for a part of that duration. When I got to the clinic it was closed. Ugh.
However, this journal will end on a high note, because I got some new wip pictures of my head today! She's coming along nicely. My maker's goal is to get it to me by my birthday, which is just over a month away. It will be a great birthday gift to myself, I'm so excited!!
I can't wait to see the fuzzbutts again soon. I'm pretty busy this month but hopefully I'll have a little more down time next month for more furry goodness :)

Updates and Whatnot
Posted 11 years agoSo I had a great weekend! Aside from my Friday, Saturday was pretty great. I finally got to meet marcazoid , chubby9302, and Salix. dotter came out too which was pretty cool! We went to the Three Brewers and TORE THE PLACE UP (not really). It's always a pleasure to hang out with my fur buddies since it so rarely happens. I didn't even feel too guilty about eating McDonalds, so that's a good sign that I was in great company. :)
I hate being so busy sometimes! But I am really excited for the Islington fur meet, it should be a blast and a half.
Things are going better at home. The bf and I have been going through a bit of a rough patch, but thankfully all is well now, so things can get back to normal.

Posted 11 years agoSo I went to the monthly Spaghetti Factory meet down town for the first time last night and I gotta say, those folks were pretty rad. And by rad I mean super friendly and awesome!
I'm a little awkward with meeting large groups so it was nice to have people approach me and be so sweet. I really appreciated it! I hope to get to know all of you better over the next few meets! :)

Basically I'm shitting bricks.
This is my third year in a row doing it. Why do I keep doing this to myself???
Ugh. At least it's for a good cause, raising monies for WWF and such to help all those lil' fuzzballs out there, but
I could totally use a hug or three right now, oh my science
My legs will be BURNING, I will want to CRY, and this year I'm on a team so people are counting on me. I usually don't get this anxious about things but when it comes to extreme physical activity I get so nervous. I think I have some sort of complex or something, who knows.
I just wanna go eat a cookie or something but that cookie will make me fat and then it will turn into more weight I'll have to carry up all those steps and hhhhhnnnnnnggggg

FURSUITERS/ARTISTS OPINION NEEDED - YARN TAILS
Posted 11 years agoHey guys, I just have a question regarding yarn tails v.s. other kinds of tails.
As I'm sure most of you know already, I'm putting together a fursuit (aka putting together separate fursuit part commissions – I have no talenttt :P).
Anyway, how well would you say a yarn tail would blend with the bum of a faux fur suit?
I have a tail now, but it's curled and not ideal for running/jumping/all the fun fursuit activities . I want to get a floppy tail for that. I'm interested in commissioning a yarn tail since they look so puuurrrdy, but I know nothing about fabrics and the like (crafts are like math for me – NOPE NOPE NOPE/ FAIL FAIL FAIL hence the English degree and Technical Editing job yaaa).
I was just hoping some of you more talented/experienced furs could help me out on this one.

IT'S ALIIIIIVE (Almost)
Posted 11 years agoSo I just put in my first payment for a fursuit head! I'm so stoked you guys seriously. I'll be coming to life soon enough!
I can't wait to get real life pictures of myself on here (I don't include the one crappy Snapchat thinger that I posted before). I can't wait to finally suit and be myself... Can't wait can't wait!! lol
Sorry for the annoying journal (If you even read it), I just know that at least some of my fellow furs on here can relate to some degree. :D

Time Flies When You're Chatting at Timmy's!
Posted 11 years agoSo last night was a good night, for the most part. Met up and hung out with 
Bootz at a Tim's for like 3 hours!! Good chats and great times. I was so happy to meet and get to know him a little, and it makes me excited for when I'm actually able to attend some meets to hang out with more amazing furs!
Wasn't too great when I got home though... But that's a tale for another time I guess. All in all, I had a good evening. Thanks for showing me that people aren't that scary, buddy! :P

Tuesday Ramblings of a Tired Wolf

I had a full night's sleep, but I feel like I didn't sleep at all! I hate it so much because it makes me grumpy and such. My whole schedule is thrown. I've been craving a starbucks cookie really badly but I really shouldn't be spending more money. I also want to commission more people! Idk why I like commissioning people so much... There are so many talented artists on here, and I like all of their depictions of me!
I also don't know why so many people bitch about the prices for artwork done by independent artists on here. Especially in terms of fursuits and fursuit pieces... I mean you guys, have you ever even looked at professional costume maker prices?? A lot of these talented people are offering their services for a fraction of the price, yet some commissioners give them so much grief. I wouldn't have the patience to do it!
But what are you gonna do, right? I mean, the universe is made up of pretty much 4 things: protons, neutrons, electrons and morons.
