Posted 9 years agoI've been kinda dead here lately haha. Moving was so, so stressful and has left my partner and I pretty close to the brink of flat broke. We're getting back on our feet though!
Stress does make is hard for me to draw, almost like a blockage in my mind that I just want to squeeze out haha. So I've been kinda dead here and basically everywhere.
Classes have been brilliant though, Im so pleased with this course.
How are you guys?

My year is finishing in England with my partners family, and I'm really homesick haha. This Christmas will be better than the last though, not another year seeing my dad for a few minutes before he goes on an amazing holiday with his family and then I eat McDonalds alone in tears lmao. But yeah, I'm with steve's family this year, and I feel super out of place. You don't know how bogan you sound until your accent is compared to a Poms lmao.
Anyway,
I'm not finishing my nursing degree. The entire year I felt like I was being dragged along in the wrong direction, telling myself it was the mature, secure thing to do. Which yeah, it would be. I thought that if I tried nursing, it would push me out of my shell and force me into enjoying dealing with people.
It was exhausting for me. I was treated like dirt aswell, but honestly that's to be expected when in a hospital as a student. I guess the lesson learned is to trust my gut feeling at the start, so I'm getting out of university and really gonna push my art - whilst starting a diploma in pathology testing. I feel so anxious, but relieved. Im excited to study in this area, my marks in human bioscience are great and it really is something I love.
I'm moving in January again. One housemate in particular is the personification of laziness, drains our internet and takes over the public spaces for weeks on end (cough fallout4 cough). He also relishes in scaring the shit out of my cat, pulling her tail and throwing her when she hisses. I guess Im getting older, but rather than deal with people shit all the time I'd rather just do without them completely.
So next year, Im moving into a place with my partner and stormwhiskers, who is starting their degree in education. I can already imagine us, huddled in the loungeroom with good food, a shit movie, drawing and lots of tea.
SO yeah, I can't wait for this year to be over. How was yours?

Opinions - Auction or Adopt?
Posted 10 years agoI'm really not sure which option is fairer to my watchers, and I'd love to hear your opinion - after all, they're for you! This is for Birdfolk in particular.
I feel that having set price adopts allows people that don't have a huge amount of money to snag one when they can, and auction prices can get ridiculous -
-however, auctions allow everyone to have a go, rather than logging on two hours later and missing out completely.
I'm stuck!
