The "Realistic" Card
Posted 13 years agoWhy do some folks pull out the "realistic" card in this fandom ? As if it's some holy grail trump card of furrydom....
Dragons are okay..... Unicorns are okay.... Fairies are okay..... Taurs are okay..... Griffins are okay..... and so on.....
a 190 mile large wolf..... Wait hold the phone.... that's "unrealistic" in this fandom ? Says who ? And why ? (Why indeed ?)
"Why, yes, it is" says a fox with 9 tails and a cock the size of a 2 story house.... "Really ?" take a look in the mirror....
Anyone see the problem here ? Anyone ? Anyone ? Bueler ? Bueler ? So At what point do we draw this line of what is "real" and "unreal" in this fandom ? Hyperfurs..... Musclefurs.... Herms.... Balloonfurs..... Toonyfurs..... Etc Etc Etc (I'll be brief)
We allow all these in the fandom but somehow, a 190 mile large wolf is "unrealistic" Am I the only one who sees the IRONY in this ? Or what ?
Hey lets just arbitrarily pick out anyone who goes against the grain in the fandom and toss them out, okay ? Hey your too thin, hit the road, your too fat, get out of town, your too PERFECT, take a hike, and once no one is left in the fandom do they kick themselves out of it as there's no one left in it but themselves ?
Sounds a lot like Second Life, "We don't like 'your kind' around here" when a fur winds up in a Humans Only place. Is the fandom that messed up that we are turning into that very close-minded mind set we don't like to be or try to be ?
Or do folks just like to wank off to drama like this as they are that shallow and have nothing better to do ?

I asked around Furry Muck and hears what I found out about you
1. you spend your time in the Giant's Club as a micro as a little fur, running around them inside the club.... So much for Woulfe being bigger then you, that was a lie....
2. You used Woulfe as an ego boost nothing more nothing less.... So you think that little of Woulfe that you used him for your own gains....
3. You change characters at the drop of a HAT, any HAT, you want to be the center of attention, you don't want friends you want to be famous, popular and have many followers, you latched on to Woulfe hoping that his popularity would somehow wind up on you as well....Yet you seem to think he wants to be the center of attention, no he hates it, it's not FUN to be popular in this fandom, because you attract FALSE FRIENDS, and that's what you are a FALSE FRIEND, you pretended to be Woulfe's friend when all along you were behind his back laughing at how gullible he was.
4. Going by this information I've learned I'm going to think that you lied about your dog dying as another way to get attention from furs, your an attention whore, not a friend, or a brother even, you'd back stab anyone to get it too.
5. You get upset if you don't get the Attention you so much desire, heck you get upset if someone else gets the attention you so much desire, this so explains the back stabbing of Woulfe you big jerk.
BECAUSE I'M A NICE GUY I WON'T POST THIS OUT IN THE OPEN, but if you decide to block me again all because I moved your drawings to a different part of FA because I think my own art SUCKS and should not be seen with all the nice commissions Woulfe has been getting latly you are nothing more then then a SHALLOW ego-manic in my eyes, you aren't the shy type, you lied about that big time, it took me YEARS to get out of my shell, even longer to to bring Woulfe online it didn't happen overnight, yet you seem to think he got popular overnight, it took YEARS to get him where he is, you want that kind of popularity overnight, it can't be done, EVER.

Yea, I kinda am to blame as well as I write these fun things that go with the pics
But it's better then to just post it as is & not explain the situation in them
It's a good way to get my creative juices flowing for the moment
So here are the rules, keep these in mind, as this Journal may not be up long & the rules may change
1. Keep the RP to PM's or Journals ONLY, if Journals start to become a problem, I might just limit it to PM's ONLY
( this rule is subject to the most change depending on if folks can control themselves or not when posting here )
2. You can comment on an image, but don't start an RP, I'm not saying RP is bad, just that not all my guests are here for that, most are here for the art I post, not to read Line after line of open RP in comments
3. Keep in mind that there might be some under age folks looking at my images, this is why I made these rules, so keep it PG when commenting, posting, yes I know I have adult pics on here, but the majority of the pics are not.
4. Please respect others also, your fellow posters may not want to read comments that go into the grey area, so to speak, just keep it light & fun & then no one gets hurt one way or another ( feelings or otherwise )

Posted 13 years agoThis is just something I need to get off my chest as it's bugging me right now
If you are offering art free or otherwise you should let folks know what you won't do right from the get go
Like if you are burnt out on drawing something because you've been doing a lot of it lately
Let your visitors know that you won't draw that so they don't feel like they're wasting time
Your time or their time.
This way they can move on to someone who will draw what they want to draw.
Let's say someone only has one character like I do.
Artist A is offering free art to anyone who asks for it, I go hey, I'll let them draw me 'cause they haven't before....
I post a reply in the tread about the free art, next I expect a few PMs to get it all over and done with....
Artist A sends me a PM of what I want drawn, now at this point I'm looking forward to seeing me done in their style
I PM back to them I want my character drawn all big, buff & fluffy like he normally is drawn by others
Along with a URL to my page here for reference, so they know what I look like and how others have drawn me
Artist A then PM's me that they don't want to draw me 'cause they're burnt out on drawing macros
I PM back that they should then go ahead & draw someone else instead in my place if that's the case
Artist A then PMs asking me do I have any other characters, and I tell them that don't have any other character
So far we've wasted time PMing back & forth for awhile about this whole situation when it should of been avoided
From the get go by the Artist saying "hey I'm doing free art, but I'm not drawing XYZ currently" oh their post(s)
What have I learned from this is the following.....
1. Next time I see someone offering free art I should know there's a catch to it, and that I won't be going to them when they want art paid for in the future, as why should I even bother if they are 'burnt out' on drawing macros
2. That folks that offer free art or even paid art should tell folks what they won't do so folks don't waste time by going back & forth for several mins playing ping pong with PM's when it shouldn't have happened in the first place
3. Folks need to communicate better so this sort of thing doesn't happen in the future
Think of this as a public service announcement to all Artists on FA
If you are offering art free or otherwise you should let folks know what you won't do right from the get go
Like if you are burnt out on drawing something because you've been doing a lot of it lately
Let your visitors know that you won't draw that so they don't feel like they're wasting time
Your time or their time.
This way they can move on to someone who will draw what they want to draw.
Let's say someone only has one character like I do.
Artist A is offering free art to anyone who asks for it, I go hey, I'll let them draw me 'cause they haven't before....
I post a reply in the tread about the free art, next I expect a few PMs to get it all over and done with....
Artist A sends me a PM of what I want drawn, now at this point I'm looking forward to seeing me done in their style
I PM back to them I want my character drawn all big, buff & fluffy like he normally is drawn by others
Along with a URL to my page here for reference, so they know what I look like and how others have drawn me
Artist A then PM's me that they don't want to draw me 'cause they're burnt out on drawing macros
I PM back that they should then go ahead & draw someone else instead in my place if that's the case
Artist A then PMs asking me do I have any other characters, and I tell them that don't have any other character
So far we've wasted time PMing back & forth for awhile about this whole situation when it should of been avoided
From the get go by the Artist saying "hey I'm doing free art, but I'm not drawing XYZ currently" oh their post(s)
What have I learned from this is the following.....
1. Next time I see someone offering free art I should know there's a catch to it, and that I won't be going to them when they want art paid for in the future, as why should I even bother if they are 'burnt out' on drawing macros
2. That folks that offer free art or even paid art should tell folks what they won't do so folks don't waste time by going back & forth for several mins playing ping pong with PM's when it shouldn't have happened in the first place
3. Folks need to communicate better so this sort of thing doesn't happen in the future
Think of this as a public service announcement to all Artists on FA

Plus when someone asks for ref pics I can just point them here & they can see how others drew me
Not how I draw myself, as they're not as good for ref pics of me
It's all about presentation
