Friends.
The worst case scenario has unfortunately come.
A couple days back, I had to sum up my yearly income from commissions and SubStar supporters for 2024 (I'm greatly thankful of you being there).

I have earned significantly less than last year.
That being said, on 20th of May I'll be attending a work center in my city so I could get some help finding a genuine job.
While I got the pieces ready to post for May which I've finished in April, I am afraid I'm going to halt my art stuff for the current time. For the sake of preparation for whatever I'll be going through on that eventful day.

With all my heart, I am incredibly sorry for the amount of art slowing down in the near future, but this is something way beyond my control.

I hope you understand...

Been a while since I made my last journal (that being 3 months ago).
Some things I mentioned back then turned out to not be that much of a serious issue. The monthly art thing gives me far more time to relax and plan my next moves.

The PayPal thing I mentioned turned out to be an empty threat.
As in, that email I got is more of a "We're gonna limit you, we totally will" and they never actually do. (big thanks to Ruffy and others for clearing that up for me)
That being said, I suppose I'm still good to take comms from PayPal. lol

Now, the comic thing... I got big plans. HOPEFULLY going to start early 2025.
I won't say what'll it be about but honestly, I hope I got enough lore fleshed out to make it engaging... And that I won't be lazy about it.

As much as I hate to say this, there's also BIG changes coming this December.
I'm gonna need to recalculate my commission prices and inevitably increase them. My demanding household is putting me through a rather stressful situation and I absolutely cannot be ignorant about it.
Yes, most folks today would say "get a job" but honestly, can you even find any these days? I can't find any use of LinkedIn at this point anymore, constantly getting irrelevant job offers that have nothing to do with my expertese. Especially in today's job environment.

One the brighter side, I may finally start taking YCHs. Already got one ready.
I just need to figure out how bids work cuuuz I've certainly never done that before. lol
That might probably be the hardest part about those.

Don't think I've done any journals in a while, but today's a bit important for me to talk about. Life... Hasn't really been going well for me. Wish I'd talk about it more but it's probably better that I make this short in a few updates:

1. Art from me, may have to be made monthly now. My overall schedule, while not super demanding, does take a little bit of a toll on me. I won't call this burnout cuz I'm not feeling lacking in anything, but I believe it'd be healthier for myself if I'd just post art each month.

2. I may need to switch a place to get commissions from. PayPal told me last December that they need my personal info "or else they'll start limiting my account". Meaning I won't be able to get commissions. Feeling that they might start breathing down my neck soon, I'm considering switching to an alternative. Some folks suggested KoFi which sounds good, but I need to look into it more. I'd happily look into what you folks would suggest. Just please don't go with CashApp or anything like that. I live in Central EU and I highly doubt US sites like that would cooperate with someone like me.

3. I'm considering doing personal comics. Wish they'd be on a schedule, but knowing how I'm doing these days, I'd rather go with doing those with my own pace. I believe they'd go monthly if I could, but I can't really promise that comics would come out every month, like general art.

Long story short, I decided to change some things in life, thinking about changing other, and also adding new things while trying to balance 'em all
at the same time.

Hope you folks understand cuz holy shit, life ain't pretty right now.

We are nearing closer to the end of 2023, day by day.
I still have two more artworks to publish over these last two Sundays and both have been finished for weeks now.
As I'm writing this, I am currently done with art until 2024 starts.

However, my commissions still remain open.
If you'd like a commission from yours truly, I am free to discuss it in DMs (or Discord) BUT I am not starting work until January 2024.

And another thing.
Once 2024 starts, I am reorganizing my schedule just a little bit.
I'll be going on daily 1-hour long walks and open a LinkedIn account that my dad's been suggesting me to make.
Having an account there himself and taking multiple offers from across the world, he said he could promote me and my skills in art.

Does that mean that my posts will slow down even more?
... Honestly, I don't know.
But I hope you folks understand that I need to do this.

Yes, it is finally the day, I can make my SubStar truly public folks!

This was kind of a long time coming I suppose.
Some of you may not know this, but Patreon has recently decided to pull the rug off artists' feet and force us to verify our age by providing our own ID cards, just so we can keep earning the money from the site.
If that sounds even remotely suspicious to you, it certainly does to me.

That being said, I'm deciding to leave Patreon altogether and switch to SubscribeStar instead.
My profile's not ready yet but if you're a patron, I'd advise to cancel your support as soon as you can and support me on SubStar... Once it's ready of course.
I don't know how long it'll take me to set up my profile, but I'm hoping for it to last about a week. Due to that, don't expect any new art for now.

Fellas, I've made a decision to halt posting on Patreon indefinitely, and make the early access WIPs and weekly artworks exclusive to this server. (Discord)
Patreon as a website has gotten... Really strict on certain forms of art to multiple artists, and I believe that posting WIPs and EAs here for patrons would be the safest thing for me to do without risking an unfair ban.

Last Sunday, I posted pretty much my last artwork of the year.
Needless to say, I think I should take a break from drawing for a short while.

See y'all in 2023.

Most of you may not have been aware, but I actually closed my commissions a few days ago.
The only people who know of this are my patrons at my semi private Discord server (Which is still under heavy construction).
The reason for this is that, in all seriousness, the old prices are vastly outdated and nonsensical. I made these old prices somewhere back in 2017 with very little knowledge on pricing art... And the fact that I suck at math.
Nowadays... I still suck at math, but I've gathered plenty of information on how I should price my stuff. Plenty of changes are in order and I've spoken to mostly my patrons about this, now I think it's the time for you to know what's about to change.

-Smash My Character commissions will be removed forever. Anyone can pay in a simple commission even if they want an artwork with their OCs doing stuff with mine. SFW or not.
-Every extra character will be a simple +10$
-Sketch commissions will never go on a discount, regardless if you're a patron or not.
-Patrons will now have new and (hopefully) more fair discounts. Starting from Tier 1 with 20%, with each tier above getting 10% more until it ends at Tier 4 with 50%.

With all these new features, I hope they improve my commissions and help me grow as an artist. I'm eventually planning to show the new prices this Monday.

Okayyyyy, here we go.
As we all know, 2022 is finally here, y'all. Can't wait for all the sequels to my favorite games coming out this year~
But that's not what I wanna talk about, here are some resolutions I'm (hopefully) going to take:

1.
I've decided to change from posting a new sketch and piece every 5 days to new artwork every Sunday... I know, I understand that means I'm gonna slow down a tad bit, but one thing some of you may not know is that I tend to run short on ideas for art and kinda been constantly asked for help by my family, and that meant I had to stop working on each piece once or twice everyday. Due to that, I believe posting an artwork and sketch every Sunday may be the best choice. I can then have some time to come up with more ideas AND not get my parents mad at me to an extent.
Two of the sketches I've posted on Patreon will be finished on 9th and a new sketch will come with them as well, however to keep myself instantly consistent, I'm gonna have to make one of the two artworks public the day it's finished while the other becomes early access for patrons. The schedule should look something like this:

Monday-Saturday: Work, occasional hold due to family matters.
Sunday: Day off. Artwork 1 goes public. Artwork 2 goes early access. Exclusive sketch for the future.

I'm making a semi-public Discord server! By semi-public, I mean that anyone can join if they have access to the invite. Just like an unlisted video on YouTube. If you're a patron, you should have access to it since about a few weeks ago if you noticed... At least I think, hope I didn't mess anything up, argh...
Unfortunately, it's still under construction. I'm trying to understand how the Patreon bot works, managing a few roles and permissions and I'm also currently looking for responsible mods that can take care of things while I'm actually away sleeping, and I mean those kinds of mods who don't abuse their power. We're all trying to be chill here and have a good time.
If you're an artist, you'll be able to do your own art streams here and enjoy the company of others. There's also a seperate gaming voice channel if you have that gamer soul within you as well~

3. I added a very tiny change when it comes to patron birthdays. I have said that birthday raffles will come once there will be too many patrons to focus on for each month, however I've been also wondering what I would do with those kinds of people whose birthdays are on the first week of each month. With that in mind, I think it's best for me to post the finished b-day gifts only at the end of every month. I know that unfortunately those gifts may be very late for some of you, but this is the best I can do for now. Regardless tho, if you're a patron, comment away with your birthdate!

So, tl;dr:
1. I made a quick schedule which does slow me down a tiny bit, but is still consistent and lessens my stress level.
2. I have a semi-public Discord server that's still under construction and needs some timezone accurate and responsible mods.
3. Patron birthday gifts now come at the end of the month for now.

I'm free for suggestions that could improve my interaction with you peeps!

So, I'm an hour late to keep it consistent but as you all see, I'm finally back!
Now, as y'all know, back on 7th was my 22nd birthday and I made an announcement a few days before it that I'm taking a day off.
That day was fiiine. I ordered a pizza, got some gift art from my girlfriend, even got invited to my grandparents' house a day later... But that's not what I wanna talk about. There's plenty of things I wanted to announce.
As I said some time ago, this is something I'm testing the waters of. It'll only become final if a majority, if not all of you are on board with this:

1. I'm doing a birthday sale which'll last until the first day of November!

From this day (or night forward til Nov 1st), all commissions, safe or not are 50% off.
Patrons get a "double discount" if I can call it that. As an example, pretend you're a Homie-4-Life tier patron which has a 50% discount from the very start, but the discounted price gets cut by another half.

Since I'm very bad at math and the calculator is my only hope, imagine you get a double discount off 100$ like this:
100 - 25% = 75 - 50% = 37.5 (5$ Bro)
100 - 50% = 50 - 50% = 25 (10$ H4L)
100 - 75% = 25 - 50% = 12.5 (15 AL)

2. I'll be making special birthday artworks for patrons!

So, this is something a bit more special.
I'm gonna be making free gift art for each patron's birthday and draw their sona doing literally whatever. However this is something that might potentially change and evolve as more patrons come along.
For now, there's only 5 of you so keeping everyone happy for the time being should be a walk in the park, but as your number keeps increasing (IF it increases), there's a big chance I'm gonna be making patron only raffles. Go ham for the time being and hit me up with your birthdates, yo.

TL;DR: Everything is 50% off til Nov 1st and patrons pay less by a double AND I'll be making birthday gifts for said patrons.

So, this is something I've been considering to announce for quite a long while. This day (or night depending on your timezone) is finally the time I think is the most right... Mainly because I believe I'm slowly running short on ideas. lol

I'm opening Patron Only Requests!

If you're a patron, simply share an idea you recently got with me and I'll gladly work on it.

Now, compared to commissions, there's a few differences that are important for you to focus on:

1. Requests are for drawing characters of any sort of media you'd like. Whether it's a movie, TV show or a video game. If you want me to draw... I don't know, Judy getting tentacled for example, I'm totally down for it. And if you got some ideas for my characters, feel free to share these as well. If you want me to draw your sonas however, that's where commissions go.

2. I'll refuse to draw characters owned by companies with a history of unfair takedowns on fan made content. I don't want any of these breathing down my neck, so if you want me to draw someone like Isabelle, I'm sorry man, but I have to say no. (That doesn't mean I won't draw her at all, I'm just not gonna post it in here)

3. I can totally go for weird interests, Things like slime, tentacles or soft bondage are very fine... But I'm not going for anything SUPER EXTREME. So things like hyper, body waste, vore and anything I can't currently think of right now unfortunatelly gotta go. I only go for things that are soft and comfortable and FULL of consent.

Just sharing quick news to let this out of my chest.
I decided to take a little break from art for about a week.

Why tho?
Believe it or not, but all this art I've been making, commission or not, it was made on a... Rather shitty laptop that's already been through alot.
Since I'm also a very gamey person, I've been missing years of titles I didn't get the opportunity to play yet. Luckily for me, I was finally able to get a PC powerful enough to run them, so I decided to "dumb my head down" a little bit.

Yeah, this excuse might be a wee bit silly, but lack of ideas has been a part of this too, so I thought that whatever I'm going to experience in the games I'm wishing to play could brighten things up for a bit.

I'm still gonna answer to comments... If anyone is actually willing to leave any.
