Local Library Event Interview...
General | Posted 4 months agoYesterday was the 3rd annual Local Author meetup at the library, and this time they got someone from local news to come by and have chats with the folks there, including yours truly!
Lol, I was still kinda waking up, and it's on-the-spot, but it's something. :3

FREE E-BOOK DOWNLOADS - Available July 2 - 6! (PST)
General | Posted 5 months agoHey, everyone! Hope you're doing alright. :)
I just wanted to announce that my publisher and I are having a 5-day run, starting tomorrow, July 2 (12am PST) and ending July 6 (11:59pm PST), where the e-book format of my anthro-fantasy novel The Saga of Fidonhaal: Daughters of the East will be available for FREE download on amazon.com!
This promo period for the e-book version was set up to go alongside this year's duration of AnthroCon. If any of you who are reading this are going to be attending, know that there will be special paperback copies, signed by me, for sale at
chakatwindshear 's table(s), which can be found HERE. Windshear is going to have a TON of other anthro merch for sale as well, so be sure to swing by even if you aren't interested in the book itself. :D
That's it for right now. I'll be dropping some "reminder" posts over the next few days, and take it from there. Whatever happens, I want to thank all of you who have given my work a look, and thank you for the support you've given thus far.
For those of you who will be at AnthroCon, I wish good business to the vendors, sweet finds for the buyers and browsers, and a good, safe time for all y'all!
Take care!

Thanks, Venting, and Pulse-Confirmation…
General | Posted 7 months agoHey, everybody.
So, I've been meaning to give some sort of an update, however small/basic, since the start of the year or at most not long after. Even if it was just something like noting what growth in views I’d gotten or something else that was fairly basic, or simply being like "hey everyone, I’m still alive and looking to do more stuff, but most if not all of it is still very tentative,” I had it at least somewhat in mind to post a little something about how things are or have been.
And here I am, nearing five months into the year, and I haven't done so until now.
So first things first, I want to thank all the new watchers who've come in, and personally thank
helixthefallen for his signal-boost that brought you all over. My view-count had already grown a fair bit by the start of the year, and it's only grown more since, and I had gotten a watcher or two here and there as well, but you newcomers certainly boosted those stats up these past several days. So, again, thank you.
And of course, I want to thank those who have already been watching for however-long, and those who have given my Saga of Fidonhaal works a look to any degree. This setting went through several significant changes during its initial construction, which began back when I was in high school, and has been effectively half of my life in the making and is still ongoing. Then there was the handful of years that went into building up my first novel for that world, Daughters of the East, which started with a handful of notes and ideas that originally came from a prior "beta build" that were then reworked and from there slowly grew into the novel that can now be found in both e-book and paperback formats on Amazon and other platforms. In short, whether you're someone who's been following my setting and novel to any degree for the past couple of years, or have just recently dropped by and have given any of what I’ve posted a look-over (Fidonhaal-related or not), know that I am truly grateful for your interest and support; you all know who you are.
Yet, even with all that, I'm still struggling with fatigue and uncertainty/indecisiveness, as far as where I'm looking to go from here. Admittedly, this has been an issue of mine pretty much since the publication of the first book, if not even somewhat before, back when I went through it with my editor and publisher to make sure the i's were dotted and the t's crossed. Since then, I've been trying to embark on the next "thing," whatever exactly that ended up being, but the handful of "starts" I've set out on so far have fizzled out and pulled over to the side of the road, not utterly quitting the trip, at least not yet, but not in any hurry to get going again.
I started efforts on a short story compilation, but then it ended up being largely shelved up to the present, with only a rough-typed draft of the first story currently being available for free reading. I then started working on another short story, one separate from the previously intended collection, only for the burnout to strike again after only two chapters, despite the “high” I’d say I initially felt, and it’s now been “dormant” for months.
And I’ve since become fairly sure of what my basic idea for the next “big story” is, but I look at what I’ve stuttered on so far, and see how comparatively big and complex this one is looking to be, and the mental mess just gets all the bigger and more tangled.
Then I tried a couple of pieces based off of prompts, hoping the variety from Fidonhaal would shake things up a bit and maybe reinvigorate things. Instead, I just ended up getting all the more burnt-out. I suppose, if one were intent on seeing a silver lining with this, it could be said that this has convinced me that I need to keep what energy and willpower I still have for writing reserved for Fidonhaal material, but it still feels dispiriting at present.
And all of that is just in regards to writing. Then there’s my life as a whole, with a number of incoming changes I’m trying to at least accept, if not “embrace,” readjustments I’m wrestling with myself to try to reinforce to at least some degree, and some weighty regrets. I’m trying to view this time in an at least net-positive light, but even if things do indeed pan out in that direction overall, the bag is still quite mixed, especially at the present.
I know. That’s life however-much of the time. And I know that many people out there have it much harder. But what can I say, I still feel what I feel, and I still feel it how I feel it.
But enough of that. At least for now.
Aside from the thanks and the venting, I just wanted to confirm that I do indeed still have a pulse, that I am still on here, and that I am still looking to do more both here and beyond. Just know that much of it is currently still up in the air as I try to work things out, both specifically in my writing “sphere” as well as with my life overall.
With that said, the current matter on my to-do list is to finish up an art-bit that I’m doing for
chakatwindshear to use at his spot during this year’s Anthrocon. He’s looking to have some copies of Daughters of the East handy over there (thanks so much!) and we’re just looking to have a nice little graphic-arty piece up to hopefully help draw some more eyes toward it.
From there, it’s pretty tentative at the moment, though I reckon I’ll try to regain focus on A Crown of Bones again after that, and then try to take it from there, whatever exactly that ends up meaning and whenever such things begin to (re)gain some more momentum.
Thank you all again so very much for your interest and support. I’m sorry if I went on a bit overmuch here, but know that whatever stuff I might be grappling with at the moment, I really appreciate you all for swinging by.
Feel free to browse my gallery as/if you’d like. For a bit of convenience to any interested, here’s folder-links to my Fidonhaal material:
The Saga of Fidonhaal: Daughters of the East – Features sample-chapters from the published novel, as well as maps of the setting and commissioned artwork related to the story.
Vile Wings – The complete, rough-typed draft of a short story about a wandering group of tribespeople who embark on a quest to slay a large brood of harpies. This is intended to be the first short story in a compilation that I’m intending to eventually write and get published, which tells of the deeds of Zongar Highsun, an adventurer and esteemed warrior from a great tribe within the world of Fidonhaal.
A Crown of Bones – Currently a WIP, this short story tells of a “paladin” and his squire, along with several other companions, who set out to investigate the source of an attack by undead on a local village.
Until next time. Take care, everybody!

A Library Event, a Vendor, and an Ongoing Short Story
General | Posted a year agoHi folks! Wulfe again!
Just wanted to give a few little updates:
First, thank y'all for 4,100+ views on the page! I was looking to note it back when it reached 4,000, but by the time I got around to it it reached past 4,100. So here we are. XD
With that being said...
Yesterday, or 11/21/2024, I attended a Local Author event at a local library, the same one that hosted the first such event that I attended last year. This was their second run of the event, and they mentioned looking to do it again sometime next year, so here's to hoping this continues to be an annual thing! :)
It wasn't a "super busy" event, though I wasn't particularly expecting it to be, but I still managed to sell a couple of copies, both of those purchases being from other authors at the event. XD
So, thanks a bunch, Stephanie and Beth (and Lo)!
In other news...
I'd like to inform anyone interested that I recently got a few (currently 3, that is) copies shipped over to
chakatwindshear who is a vendor of various furry media including comics/manga, art pieces/collections, and books amongst other things. I've been notified by him that the copies arrived, and they should be listed on his store's site soon!
If you're interested, either for yourself, or perhaps if you're looking for a potential Christmas present or something and you know someone who might be interested in a medieval-fantasy adventure story featuring a race of "wolf people," know that these are not just "plain" copies, but are signed by me, and should also include a bookmark!
If the book isn't currently listed yet, you might need to wait just a little bit, or else perhaps contact him either here on FA or through the "Contact Us" option on his store-page. DO NOTE, HOWEVER, that the store's stock runs the potential range from "G/PG-rated" to "18+," so view the shop at your discretion, and don't go there if you're under 18.
https://www.windshearswares.com/
And hey, if my book doesn't look to be quite your thing, you might find something else over there that you'd like!
A buncha thanks to
chakatwindshear for stocking my book, and best of luck to him and his business!
Also, thanks to
redhusky for letting me know about this vendor! It's been pleasant doing business with him. :)
Lastly, I am still working on the rough-cut of the short story A Crown of Bones. The first chapter was posted just as Halloween was drawing to a close, and I've been meaning to post more without TOO much time in between, but y'know, lousy excuse(s) here "stuff and things."
Hopefully I'll get chapter 2 out soon. X3
That's all for now, folks. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good and safe one.

A Signal Boost for SnowSnow11
General | Posted a year agoHi folks. A bit of an unexpected thing I'm finding myself doing here today, and I doubt it'll reach that many people, but any help's better than none, I reckon, so here goes:
snowsnow11 is, as I'd figure any of you familiar with my own stuff are aware, a wonderfully talented artist in this fandom (and elsewhere!) who has done some lovely drawings of some of my Fidonhaal characters.
Outside of her work on here and similar spots on the internet, however, she had also been working as a 3D character artist. Unfortunately, the place for which she worked just enacted a massive wave of layoffs, and she was among those let go.
So, for the time being, she's opened up an Emergency Commissions queue to help keep things going as she searches for another stable job.
Snow is a talented artist with whom it has been an immense pleasure for me to do business, and if by any chance you have a little cash to spare and have an idea for your 'sona, personal setting/relevant charaters, or anything that you've been wanting to see get done at some point, I wholeheartedly recommend her for your consideration; she needs some help, she's very talented, and has been simply great to work with.
And, if you're not in the market yourself at this time, but know someone, or know-someone-who-knows-someone, who is, I hope you might consider passing the word along.
That's it from me for now, I suppose. Everyone take care out there.

Level 33
General | Posted a year agoLevel 33 reached, 33rd lap around the sun achieved, etc. XD
Lookin' forward to a nice outing to Mellow Mushroom Pizza with the family. ^ - ^
In other news:
Having resigned from what had been my current job, I'll be looking to try to find something else, hopefully better, though it sure has been frustrating so far. At any rate, it really simply was due time, dare I say overdue, that I left where I was.
In the meantime, however, as I look to both search and recuperate some, I've also been looking at my writing. I've finished a couple of SUPER basic-and-rough passes of plot outlines for a couple stories I've had in mind for a while, but there's no telling when those will be anywhere CLOSE to being done. I've also been looking at what I feel is likely going to become the next "big thing" story-wise, though I'd say that's even more "in development" than those previously mentioned two concepts. XD
There's still the collection of short stories about Zongar Highsun, the champion warrior of the Trichynay great tribe, that are yet to be finished and published ( For any reading this who haven't read it and are curious, you can read the rough-cut draft of one of those stories, Vile Wings, here ). The arrival date of those is not presently a sure thing, either.
Lol, I know I've got quite a backlog. It's been quite the journey, to put it simply and lightly. 'XD
That all said, to try to announce something intended to be more "incoming," I'm hoping to get another one of my "lore blurbs" done and dropped soon, and I have another short story idea I'm trying to get underway soon and drop another rough-cut of it on here. In an ideal course of events, I would've gotten that story done or nearly done by the start of this month, and I would've uploaded it chapter by chapter over the course of the month, ending on Halloween, given that it's meant to be a spOOoOooOoky dark fantasy bit occurring within a haunted forest and dark ruins. With undead and stuff, of course. ;3
Hopefully, though, I can at least START posting the story some during this month, so it can still be at least somewhat in the spirit of the season, regardless of when it's "finished." XD
This story is also something that, if I can manage it eventually, is meant to be a part of a collection with a common factor, this one being the previously mentioned haunted forest. But, like so much of the rest of things right now, it's very TBA.
*sighs*
I guess that's more or less it for now. There are a couple of Fidonhaal-related art pieces by
snowsnow11 that are to be uploaded sometime this month, given that it's time for her Drawtober tradition again, but I currently can't think of much else to report off-hand. So, in short, you all have a good one. I certainly intend to, with some pizza and family. <3
Until next time!

<3Until next time!

Wee Little Milestone...
General | Posted a year agoIt's super "small potatoes" I reckon, in the big picture of things, but I'm nevertheless happy to say that, after being stuck at 9 ratings for a good while, my Fidonhaal (and debut) novel Daughters of the East now has 10 ratings on Amazon, averaging out at 4.3 out of 5 stars!
Sincere thanks to everyone who has bought this book, and given it a read (whether you bought it or took up on it during a giveaway special), along with your feedback, comments, questions, etc. I'm still struggling with writing more and some other things in my life at present, but I haven't quit, and I nevertheless am grateful to you all for your interest and engagement.
Sincerely,

Stuff and Things...
General | Posted a year agoAlrighty!
So I've posted the first typed-pass of one of the short stories I'm trying to work on in relation to my Fidonhaal setting, and as I did so, I also did a little roaming about on here, fav-ing and commenting on various art-pieces and other folks on here. While there's some work to be done with the short story I rough-previewed, of course, I've since gotten a nice little uptick in my page's view-count (having now just surpassed 3,500), as well as a handful of new watchers. :3
How much of that is from new folks, actual folks and not bots or whatever, and how much of it was from interest in my uploads or simply from my interactions with others, I don't know and won't pretend to, but to everyone who has since given my profile and stuff a look, I would like to thank you here and now. :)
In other news, I still have the stories of Zongar Highsun, along with numerous other "Fidonhaal" story ideas, on file, in the works, whatever-have-you, but I simply do not have an ETA for any of it at this time.
I'm presently pretty occupied with dealing with my current job, which, to put plainly, I'm very dissatisfied with, and efforts to find something better, though I'm at something of a loss for alternatives, and those that I've applied to, I've yet to hear from, provided I ever do and if the reply is even a remote chance of getting a chance at it/them. With this, on top of a number of other personal matters, it's just difficult for me at times to spend much of the free time I have on writing a lot at present. I haven't utterly quit on it by any means; I've got stacks of folders and notebooks of stuff sitting on my desk, but it is fairly "start and stop" at the present time.
That all said, as hard as it's been at times and remains at present, I want to thank everyone who has bothered with looking into my stuff at all. For all the highs and lows of this journey so far, I am thankful that my efforts have appealed to anyone at all.
Also, other-other news, I've currently got two art-commissions in the works that I'm looking forward to. One is Fidonhaal-relevant, being done by
CadmiumTea and depicting a (spicy but sweet) scene of a couple belonging to the setting's mystical creatures catalogue, specifically the "Springlings" or "fauns" of the setting (the pose of one of the characters being inspired by a real-life Hellenistic sculpture).
The other piece is not Fidonhaal-related but is in regards to myself, or rather my fursona, whatever. XD
And it's a long-awaited closure to a "one image for each season" concept I had with a given artist, that being
Blokfort , that I've been wanting to wrap up for several years now.
I'm also thinking of sharing some of my D&D miniatures-painting on here from time to time, starting with a "Drunken Master Monk" character I did for a campaign that sadly fell through.
I may or may not also consider doing occasional bouts of some "lore tid-bit drops" and/or "Q&A" writing bits to upload at some point. We'll see.
Sincere thanks to everyone who has taken time out of their lives to have a gander at my writings and related (and unrelated) stuff. It's been rough at times, alongside a number of other things in my life, but seeing that there are indeed people out there who find some of my stuff interesting is encouraging.
Regards,
Lucas/Wulfe

Short Story of Fidonhaal Inbound...
General | Posted a year agoHeya, folks!
So, before I say anything else, I want to thank everyone who's given my writing a chance up to this point.
That said, in an effort to give even the tiniest hint of a "roadmap" for things, my "current thing" is intending to put together a collection of short stories that feature a recurring character (who, in Daughters of the East, was a comparatively minor character, but not without his own adventurous life) throughout several points in his life.
However, because of an assortment of factors in my life, including but not limited to "okay, now what?" syndrome following my debut novel's publication, moving, having a "normal" job thrown into the mix of things again, looking for a different (and hopefully "better") job, and whatever else, my writing efforts for things going forward have been a bit "off and on" for a fair while.
Oh, and I've also just been plain-ol' procrastinating, too. X/
However, thankfully, I feel that a number of things have "clicked together" again, and, while I still might not be going at it quite as much as I might have under other circumstances, there has been a bit of a re-invigoration in my writing efforts, and while I still don't have a confident ETA for the final product, the previously mentioned short-story anthology is indeed still underway, with the first of the collection being done to at least a "satisfactory (to me) first-typed-draft."
With this, in conjunction with a bit of reevaluation of my writing reasons/priorities, I've checked with my editor and publisher, and with their agreement have decided to put up this "initial pass" of the first short-story across at least a couple of spots online, including here on FA. For all who have given my work a chance up to this point, I hope this can give you a little something to enjoy in the meantime, as I try to continue working on all this. And for any new folks who look into this, I hope it might intrigue them to look into what's been done so far in addition to potentially being interested in future work.
Regardless of whatever outcomes, additions to audience, and so on (if any such things see a change or growth), I've come to feel, on reflection, that for whatever * career hopes * I have for this sort of thing, there is also simply the yearning to create/sub-create something to put out into the world, and no matter how many or few people so much as give my writing the time of day, I still want to work at it and try to put more out.
So yeah, no hard-set idea on when my next "full project" will be published, but in the meantime, I'd like to share with you all a "rough cut" of the first tid-bit I have lined up for the next "book" I have in mind to try to do.
In advance, to all who give this a look, whether you're someone already acquainted with the setting of Fidonhaal or a newcomer, I give you my sincere thanks, and my earnest hopes that you will find it at least modestly enjoyable.
All constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated!
The first chapter, in addition to views of the artwork I've thrown together for the thumbnail on here, will be coming along shortly, along with periodic posts of subsequent chapters for the story over the next stretch of time!
I hope you all enjoy, and my thanks to you all again in advance!

Lucas / WulfeVanDerKross

I'm in a YouTube Video!
General | Posted a year agoSpecifically, an interview with
!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzCme0dSe_E
His channel may be on the small side currently, but he was thoroughly pleasant to talk with, and he really worked at it with this interview and its video.
I hope you might give it a watch, and hopefully spread the word about it as well. Hopefully, be they "furries" or "anthro-media-enthusiasts" who also enjoy fantasy-adventure stories, or even those who enjoy fantasy but aren't necessarily "big" on anthro-stuff (but aren't particularly "turned off outright" by it either), might find out about something they'd like to read courtesy of this superhero-turtleman! :D
Thanks a bunch for your time and efforts,
! Best of luck on your future videos!

General | Posted 2 years agoAnother year has come and gone. May 2024 be a good year for you, dear reader(s).
...
So I was pondering whether or not to do a journal for this, as a part of me felt like my current “following” wasn’t really enough to warrant it, especially if I was hoping for much in the way of feedback from folks replying to it. Then another part of me figured that even if only one or two people threw their two-cents in, it would still be more than if I didn’t do it at all, especially if the feedback was positive enough to feel worth it.
And then another part of me contemplated just having this as a way to maybe vent a little, or something, and do it more for me and my mental-processing than for some sort of input from others. Or even just to archive my thoughts and all, at least for a time, even if I deleted it sometime later, out of cringe or otherwise.
So maybe now I’m sort of doing it for both myself while still hoping, at least a little, for some sort of comment from a person or two, whatever exactly it be, though I of course hope that it/they be civil.
Whatever the exact case, I’m going to try to cut to the chase now, since part of this whole journal was meant to announce my plans to try to “trim down” a bit in some ways. So, here goes…
To try to not ramble on and on for *too* much, especially since we all have our own problems, I’ll just say that these past couple of years or so have been quite the ride.
From actually managing to finish writing an anthro-fantasy novel and getting it published by SOME way or other, to trying to do what I could think to do to garner some attention for it, along with moving from the place I had called home for basically my whole life up until late last year, trying to get adjusted to having a “normal” job again (even with it being part-time presently), a health concern or two (including dealing with some very frustrating matters pertaining to insurance), and more, it’s taken a bit out of me, especially in regards to efforts to write more.
And that’s not even taking into the equation the simple fact that, as glad as I am to have written and published Daughters of the East, I feel the endeavor has quite simply “wiped me out” to a point, alongside the “okay, now what?” or “second product/installment syndrome” or whatever you want to call it having been a factor as well, even if not quite as much.
So, I’ve decided to more or less “make dormant” my SoFurry and Weasyl accounts (since, as far as I can tell, I can’t really delete the accounts in question), and have deactivated my DeviantArt account (since I could delete the account, and I can’t say I was particularly stoked with their A.I. stuff either).
Of two chat-forums I had joined a while ago in the wake of the FA forums closing, I’ve pretty much told myself to let one go and stick with the other.
I aim to check in with my Facebook from time to time, but am not aiming to fret about it overmuch, and DEFINITELY don’t plan on doing Twitter/X/whatever, BlueSky or whatever it’s called, Instagram, or whatever other such things, any time soon, if ever (and honestly, I’d just as soon not if I could; an effort toward promoting my book was the only reason I even bothered with Facebook. Simply put, I really, really, really, really, REALLY don’t like to bother with social media very much, but I guess time will tell as to just how far I’ll end up going).
As much as I want to try to get some more awareness/interest generated for my writing, trying to throw a bunch of things out there across different sites to try to get attention AND trying to get myself to be more up for continuing my future writing, only to see precious little, if really any, growth in the prospective audience, has simply left me frustrated, dare I say even depressed to a point. This is all the more so when stacked up with everything else I’ve had going on.
So, I’ve come to the notion, at least for the time being, that as much as I’d like to see a growth in awareness and interest in the first book alone, I’d be better off trying to redirect what willpower I still have for this whole thing toward working on the next project(s). As much as I’d LIKE to make a livelihood out of this, of course, there’s the other side of me that just wants to try to do more, if I can, and getting myself worked up/burned out/bummed out over the struggle of just trying to get things noticed drags me and my will to keep at it down SO MUCH that I just feel like it’d be best to do less flailing around and more actual writing, both for hopefully eventual productivity and my own sanity (or at least my own sense thereof) and health’s sakes.
Of course, there’s still going to be the matter of trying to get me to work at it more, which is all the harder when so much of what you want to do when you’re done with work for the day is other things. And even besides all that, don’t mistake all this as me saying that I’m not planning to post anything here on FA whatever anytime remotely soon. I’d say I still have at least a couple of poems/songs that I’d like to post sometime soon, and maybe I’ll even post some “rough cuts” of some lore or something here and there to possibly interest some people as I try to get something more “proper” put together for another actual publication. And who knows what else may just happen to pop up at one time or another?
Not to mention, as reserved/introverted as I may be, I still hope to engage with folks socially at least from time to time on here, as well as elsewhere.
So in short, I myself might not have the most complete picture of what exactly I will or won’t be up to for the next while, but know that I am still trying to be around here some, as well as continue onwards upon the writer’s path and take care of myself and other concerns. Just how well those efforts will actually stick and pay off is another matter, but there you have it. XD
So, to wrap this up, just a few other things…
If any of you taking the time to read this would like to potentially mingle with some other furries/what-have-yous outside of FA, but don’t like the seemingly immediate/constant “pressure to engage” that sites like Discord have (at least I’ve felt that way about it at times, as nice as it might be for many other folks), then I’d like to give a shout-out to a chat-forum board that was set up in response to the closure of the FA forums (at least that’s my understanding of it).
It’s called FURFACTION, and you can access it through this link, create a free account, and have a more “at your pace” (at least going by my own experience/feelings) spot where you can drop by and partake in chatting about various “furry” and “non-furry” topics with other folks who have signed up.
I got into the forum courtesy of intel from one
redhusky who has been doing an “improv/give-me-a-prompt” writing thread that has since come to incorporate a somewhat book club-like element where we’ve been discussing my book chapter by chapter. His initial and ongoing interest in it are IMMENSELY appreciated, so many thanks to him!
So, if you’re interested in any of that, dear reader, remember:
FURFACTION!
Also, while it may still be a while before it’s released, I have also been interviewed by a Furry YouTuber who goes by “Kame the Turtle.” He’s got a number of videos relating to the “interest of anthropomorphics,” and was very pleasant to chat with! I’ll be looking to announce when the interview is released, but regardless, you can check him out on FA via his page
Kame1 as well as his YouTube Channel.
I’d also like to take a minute to give a shout-out to
Snowsnow11 for the artwork she’s done of several of my story’s/setting’s characters these past couple of years. While I certainly hope to see depictions of characters, places, and events from my writing from other artists someday, I find her style to be very charming, and she’s simply been a pleasure to work with besides! Thanks a bunch, Snow!
I’d also simply like to say thanks to ALL who have taken the time to check out my writing and for their feedback, though in particular
helixthefallen ,
Myshka and the previously mentioned
redhusky . I’m thankful to all of you for your interest and input.
…
I guess that’s more or less it for now. Now I’m going to try to ease off a little and see if I can’t start to pull myself together at least a little.
Thank you all.

I’ll be looking to announce when the interview is released, but regardless, you can check him out on FA via his page
Kame1 as well as his YouTube Channel.I’d also like to take a minute to give a shout-out to
Snowsnow11 for the artwork she’s done of several of my story’s/setting’s characters these past couple of years. While I certainly hope to see depictions of characters, places, and events from my writing from other artists someday, I find her style to be very charming, and she’s simply been a pleasure to work with besides! Thanks a bunch, Snow!I’d also simply like to say thanks to ALL who have taken the time to check out my writing and for their feedback, though in particular
helixthefallen ,
Myshka and the previously mentioned
redhusky . I’m thankful to all of you for your interest and input.…
I guess that’s more or less it for now. Now I’m going to try to ease off a little and see if I can’t start to pull myself together at least a little.
Thank you all.

June 17 Local Author Event - Little Post-Event Report
General | Posted 2 years agoJust wanted to take a minute to say that the event I mentioned in my last journal from a little over two months ago has come and gone. It was an event at a local library that was for authors from around the area to be able to meet and mingle with each other and potential readers.
I've posted some photos from the event on here and elsewhere online. You can check them out on FA through my profile or by checking them out in this folder.
It was a pretty small and simple event, but a nice experience nonetheless, and hopefully it might help get the word about Daughters of the East, and The Saga of Fidonhaal in general, at least a little more "out there." :)
That all said, I'd also like to list off the other authors that I got to meet at the event. As much as we might dig stuff with animal-people on here, there's still of course all the rest that's on offer out there!
Heather Bernard
Author of Twig Finds Her Way, a children's book telling of a fairy trying to get back to the girl she watches over with the help of a mole and science.
...
J.B. Dane
Author of an Urban Fantasy series titled The Raven Series.
*This author also has three other pen-names: Beth Daniels, Beth Henderson, and Nied Darnell. I'm not going into great depths for all of them, but I would like to point out, for the sake of "anthro/anthro-adjacent" interest, that one of the works under Beth Henderson is a series titled Whichur-Wolfe Detection, which is a paranormal-comedy-mystery series featuring a witch and a werewolf as they investigate stuff! X3
...
Ron Elliot
Author of several historical books, including Inside the Beverly Hills Supper Club Fire and Assassination at the State House: The Murder of Kentucky "Governor" William Goebel.
...
Katie Filiatreau
A physical therapist and author of The Healing Path: A 30-Day Devotional to Help You Cross the Bridge from Hurting to Healing.
...
Larry Ray Hardin
A retired DEA agent who has authored, amongst other books, Path of the Devil, Camino del Diablo: Based on True Events of a DEA Agent and Two Private Investigators.
...
Ned Johnson
Author of Dropping Out: The Trespasser Killer Series.
...
Gail Kamer
Author of numerous books, including Immigrant from the Stars, and many of her books seem to have both English and Spanish versions.
...
Birgit Stubblefield
Author of a romance/drama collection titled Oak Creek, which includes entries Scars, Chances, and Secrets.
I hope any of you coming across this might consider checking out my writing, but I also hope some of you might give some of these folks a chance, too!
I suppose that's it for now. Thank you for your time, and I reckon I'll catch you all around later!
Regards,

Little Event Coming Up In The Summer!
General | Posted 2 years agoHi everyone! Got a nice little bit of news...
I recently got an email from the local library, where a while back I got a copy of the book on the shelves. It was regarding an upcoming event in June, which is affiliated with their Summer Reading Program, which is in turn a collaborative effort of libraries across the country as I understand (https://www.cslpreads.org/adult-program/).
This event also involves local authors, who will be able to have a table/booth where people can chat with them, buy books, and so on, and I've been invited!
I just got this email the other day, and have some questions I'm looking to get answered. Furthermore, the event isn't scheduled to be until mid-June, so there's still a little while to go, and thus further information is pending.
Sure, it's no national/international fantasy-con, but it's a start, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it!
When it comes around, and presuming I'll be on for it, I'll certainly be looking forward to posting a thing or two on here about it! :D
That's it for the moment, I reckon. Until next time!

Second Edition Released!
General | Posted 3 years agoHello again, everyone!
I'm happy to announce that the new-and-improved Second Edition of The Saga of Fidonhaal: Daughters of the East is now available in both eBook and Paperback form!
For those who already got the Kindle version…
First of all, thank you very much for the support. <3
Secondly, the revised edition is still available to you, and should either update automatically, or will simply need to be updated manually, depending on how your Amazon settings are configured.
If a fantasy-adventure story featuring mystical creatures and monsters, epic battles, romance, magic and adventure, all set in a world inhabited by a race of what we would likely describe as “wolf people” sounds like it might be to your liking, or the liking of someone you know, then now is a great time to give it a try!
And again, if you'd like to check out some previews from the book before getting it, in addition to the previews available on Amazon, you can click here to view several chapters and appendices-segments.
And if you should read it and enjoy it, know that reviews and ratings on Amazon, GoodReads, etc. will be IMMENSELY appreciated!
Happy reading and good day to you all!

First Novel Published
General | Posted 4 years agoIt's been about half of my life in the making, but after years of on-and-off fiddling about with the world-building, and scratching down story ideas, my first novel has been published.
It is titled The Saga of Fidonhaal - Daughters of the East. It is set in the world of Fidonhaal, a world that is home to a race of creatures known as the Fidons, who we would likely describe as appearing to be anthropomorphic wolves.
It is a world that houses a great history of heroes, heroines, villains and villainesses. Some have been long foreseen by ancient prophecies, while others rose to renown or infamy through the circumstances of their place and time, and by their own will and efforts.
Benevolent, mystical creatures, begotten by the sacred guardians of the world, walk the earth of Fidonhaal, as do heinous monsters forged by unholy hands.
Great magic and powers, both well-studied and steeped in mystery and of blessed and cursed sources, have a presence there.
It is a place where the great conflict between good and evil is manifest in moments involving the supernatural, as well as the struggle each mortal bears within themselves.
If you are interested, feel free to click here to check out the book's Amazon page. There are both eBook and print-on-demand Paperback versions available!
If you would like to look into some samples of this book first, however, you can check out some preview-chapters, along with several maps of the world of Fidonhaal and artwork relating to the setting, here.
I suppose that's pretty much it for the moment.
For anyone who looks into this and gives it a chance, I wish to state my immense thanks to you here and now, and hope you find it to be decently entertaining at the very least, if not inspiring or moving in some way, however small.
Regards,
Lucas / Wulfe
UPDATE: A press release is out now as well!
