General | Posted 16 years agoSchool, work, and general depression has been ruling my life as of late.
I'm taking extremely difficult math and chemestry classes at the same time along with a speech class. I'm also working on this stupid thing called a senior project for my highschool and they won't let you graduate unless you complete it. My dad and I decided that it would be a good idea to lift the original engine out of one of his old cars and put in electric motors to make it a hybrid for my senior project... Y'know, to hit two birds with one stone. The thing is... I know squat about engines... I know the parts that make them, but I don't know how they work.
I've been babysitting almost every day of the week and til late hours for about a month or two. So... yeah, I've been swarmed by adorable little gremlins (all boys) for a long time.
It's been two years since I last dated and I feel a little unwanted in today's societal dating circle. I guess being unique and a little chubby are two characteristics that are good seperately to some people, but to none when they are paired together. I dunno, I'm probably just being a jerk by making you guys feel bad for me, but I have to tell SOMEONE without being embarrassed.
I'm really sorry to those of you who have been expecting requests from me for quite some time. I regret to say that I've forgotten. If you comment or note to me on what it is that you wanted from me, I will tend to the matter IMMEDIATELY.

Vacation to San Francisco
General | Posted 16 years agoI will be going to San Francisco tomorrow for about 10 days. I will be helping my sister move into a condo so she won't have to pay the rediculous $900 a month for the crappy dorm she use to live in. I won't be bringing my laptop with me because it's too big and we have to fit all of her stuff into ONE car. I will be bringing my iPod touch so if I can find a place with free WiFi I could get on the internet for a short while. But I won't be able to upload anything.

General | Posted 16 years agoI know... It's been a while. Sorry I haven't been here lately, I finally got through Summer Quarter and the math final kicked my ass . Things have been pretty hectic where I am in life. My friend just went off to College on the other side of the state, my sister will be moving into her own condo in San Francisco where she will probably stay for the rest of her life, and I need to find a job. It's the turning point in my life I guess and these realizations that I've had are giving me a pretty good smack to the face.
Hey! Guess what?! I dislocated my right shoulder!! I have officially labeled myself accident and injury prone. This time, I'm not going to the hospital to get it looked at because of the current shortage of money due to the whole condo mess of my sister's. I'm just going to have to make due with not using my right arm too much, hot-packing, and massaging to help it feel better. It still hurts like a sonofabitch though. The pain starts at the bottom of my shoulder blade and goes half way down my upper arm. I can still draw, thankfully !
My dog's wound healed amazingly fast! Within three days you could barely tell there was even a scratch on her muzzle. I was so happy that she healed so quickly. There's a scar there, but at least it doesn't hurt her anymore.
I've watched some of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood recently and the animation is REALLY good. But they've made it really silly, which I don't like... I know it's a lot closer the manga and everything and I appreciate that they are really sticking to it, but there's too much silly crap in there. Sure it's funny, but the series is supposed to be dab and dreary. It's NOT Ouran High School Host Club or Fruit's Basket (both series I like by the way). The only reason why the comic had those silly scenes in them was because there is usually two episodes per book and the comedic element had to be filled in each book due to the time it takes to produce the next one in the series. It also takes a bit longer to read a comic than to watch a show. Also, when you put all the episodes back to back and watch them, things tend to get annoying if you don't mix it up a little. Every episode that I have seen of FMA: Brotherhood so far has been silly and it's made me sad that they could do that to such a good series.
I've decided to rewatch the old series to get my daily dose of angst ^^.
Boy, my internal clock is off... I've been sleeping for up to 5 hours in the day and up almost all of the night recently Oo.
To those of you whom I still owe requests, please bear with me. I will complete them as soon as possible without neglecting detail :D.

General | Posted 16 years agoMy dog got mauled by pitbull today!
My sister, mom, and I went to the beach with our beloved 13 year old dog named Cookie. My sister wanted to stop at a Tully's to get a blueberry milkshake (which was delicious mind you). Unfortunately, you can't bring you dogs into that building, so Cookie and I waited outside. While we were standing there, this older couple who were sitting down with their two dogs asked us if my dog wanted to say hello. I know Cookie loves to make new friends so I went over, only seeing their black poodle and not the labrador/pitbull mix. As soon as my dog got to the pitbull mix, he growled. Before I could pull Cookie away, his teeth sunk into her snout :C!! The owners didn't even DO ANYTHING!! Cookie currently has two deep puncture wounds in her snout. She didn't whine and it didn't bleed for a while because she was in shock, but I was still pissed off at the owners of the pitbull.
REASONS WHY I WAS PISSED OFF:
Reason #1. If you're going to invite another dog to come over and say hello to your dog, make sure your dog is NICE and doesn't bite. In other words, KNOW YOUR DOG!!!
Reason #2. When the another dog is bit by your dog, PUNISH YOUR DOG!
Reason#3. I told them that their dog just bit my dog and they just said "Oh, she was bit?" Not "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!! Is there anything I can do to help?!"
These people were just really oblivious and inconsiderate, that just pisses me off in general. But when a pet is hurt by your actions and you don't do anything about it, it gets personal!

General | Posted 16 years agoTo anyone who is wondering... Yes, I do take requests. I also love participating in trades, collaborations, and anything of the like! Unfortunately, I cannot take commissions for... I don't know how DX! If someone could tell me how to do a commission, I would be eternally grateful *lol*. I also have been known to give gifts for no reason...

Whew, Haven't Updated in a While
General | Posted 16 years agoSo, it's been 2 months since I've written a journal DX! Summer quarter hasn't been as terrible as I had imagined. Actually, it's been going fantastically smooth! My math teacher really knows what he's talking about and he knows how to teach it well too. He's also hilarious.
My art has been on a little bit of a slump as you may have noticed. I've been extremely busy with summer outings, homework, and other miscellaneous doodads. Give me a swift kick in the butt if I don't upload anything within 2 weeks.
That's about it. Everything has been pretty chill around here :).

General | Posted 16 years agoSpring Quarter is almost done for me, but one week after the quarter ends, I start again >:P! I have to take a Summer Quarter to make up for a loss of 5 credits... ouch, I know... Expect a crazy Xailai pretty soon. She ain't gettin' a break for a whole 'nother year.
