The bittersweet of cleaning up
Posted 11 years agoAlways a bittersweet thing. Cleaning up watch-lists, that is. Taking off a name of someone you remember fondly talking to, but haven't seen online in a year or more, or see around but who never says more than hello.
Talking about MUCKs, mainly. The memories are there, but the people are gone; they've moved on, and so should I. There's always someone new to meet, new memories to be made.
I just wish they'd said goodbye.

Just a thought
Posted 11 years agoFurAffinity is rather like Congress: people rant and rave about the people in charge, then go back to doing the same thing time after time.
Shadowrun
Posted 12 years agoJust played the first game of Shadowrun in about a year or so. How I missed it, and how I wish I could play it again soon! Alas, it was just one to get a GM practice with the 5E rules before GenCon.
On getting around censorship
Posted 12 years agoSo, the UK apparently wants to censor just what people can see on the internet. Purportedly for preventing the viewing of pornography, but hey, once one thing is blocked, they or the next group in power will block something else.

On Artist Commissions
Posted 15 years agoI've noticed that often, when an artist I watch posts a journal about open commission slots, its usually closed by the time I read the journal for the first time... and that's between morning and night!
Considering that I've met a couple of these fine artists early in their online art-career, it gives me warm fuzzies to see others eager to give them money. :) :)

Penguicon!
Posted 16 years agoI know its not a furry con, but since I'm going to be in the area for a wedding, figured I might as well have some fun attending a convention as well. Anyone here going?
Odd-- dropped watches?
Posted 16 years agoEvery so often, when glancing through comments, I notice someone there, and realize I'd not seen art by them in a while. When I click over to their userpage, I discover that I'm no longer watching them! Anyone else have similar trouble?
Finally on SL
Posted 17 years agoYep.. with a better internet connection, I can finally explore SecondLife. Just got a nice dragon avatar the other day, just need to learn how to get around properly and do sculpting/building. Any suggestions for online guides for all this?

If you wish to post this in your journal, it's been requested that you title it I'm afraid of __ out of 75 common fears.
If you get more than 30, I strongly recommend some counseling.
If you get more than 20, you’re paranoid.
If you get 10-20, you are normal.
If you get 10 or less, you're fearless.
People who don’t have any are liars.
(Edit: forgot the stuff here at the end!)

Removing art
Posted 17 years agoDue to personal issues with the artist who did the piece in my sketch folder, I'll be removing it. Seeing as I hate it when folks remove art without warning, I'm hereby giving it. So, about a week or so from today I'll be deleting that image, as well as my icon derived from it.
My apologies for angst getting in the way of your viewing pleasures; I'd be a hypocrite for showing that person's art around while at the same time constantly biting my tongue on my anger, etc. with them.
Be well, folks.

Fuck or Pass
Posted 17 years agoThere is at least one person on your watch list that wants to fuck the hell out of you.
So lets play the Fuck or Pass game.
The rules are simple.
If you want to fuck the person who posts this, send him or her a reply saying only "Id Fuck You." But you have to post this in your journal in exchange.
same with the pass just say pass
(stolen from CigarSkunk. Passed, but its too amusing not to...)

Image backlog!
Posted 17 years agoYikes. Over 1470 submisions for me to go through, and on dialup to boot. Nuke them? Heck, no! Despite having a 2-month backlog of stuff to dig through, I /want/ to dig through them-- I've watched all these artists for good reason!
So I hope you take my months-late comments that I take the time to make as compliments of high order, as I really appreciate your works.

Incredible art
Posted 18 years agoAfter seeing http://www.furaffinity.net/view/483565/, I just wanted to toss out a thank-you to the artists here in general. Every so often, when browsing art archives, I find a piece that is just mind-blowingly good; a piece that amazes me that I don't have to pay money to see.
Thanks, everyone who shares their work here, and elsewhere-- you are kind and generous with the fruits of your effort.

On comments
Posted 18 years agoAre the comments I leave for artwork I especially appreaciate worth anything? I'm no artist, nor art critic, so I'm only able to say in general terms what I like about it. Also, does my not being able to draw and post anything of my own lessen the value of comments I leave? I'm starting to feel like I'm wasting my time, in taking the time to toss out a little note to give the feedback so many cry for.
