it appears only few of my watchers are watching my new account! I am still moving there! I have re-posted some art and when that is done I have a ton more new art to upload and it won't be uploaded here.

Just as the title states, I am thinking of moving to a new account. WHy? Well it's mostly the name; I want to be a little more consistent with account names and not have different names for every art account I have. I want to have ONE official name for professional and personal reasons (easier to keep up with) since I will begin preparing and practicing to start selling art at conventions (planning this for next year). I have a name picked out and everything. It is unfortunate that FA doesn't have a name change feature it would make things much easier! I won;t have to make a new account and move all my art (my god the moving of the art is gonna be a nightmare) and then there is the issue that not everyone of my watchers will read these journals so I am afraid I will lose a lot of watchers :C so the pros and cons of moving accounts are nice and balanced.
This is not set in stone but if I am able to register (I know FA has had some registration problems in the past) I will definitely make the extra account.

I am ranting now so I will go back to my shenanigans.

now that my freebies are good and done, I want to do something different!

in exchange for items? there are a lot of things I would like/need to buy.
how it would go is I'd show the item I would like and I would state a certain amount of art you can get in exchange for the item I want.

for example:
let's say I wanted to get these long boots in black, US size 7.
I would then offer what I would give an exchange.
buy me these boots, you will get:
~1 fully drawn piece with background, SFW or NSFW.
~1 quad sketch

sometimes I will have more than one option.
OR I can give
~1 full shaded piece with simple background
~1 flatcolored piece with no background

and then the person can choose which art pack they want. the amount of art will vary depending on how expensive the item is.

is this a good idea? I feel like...it would be easier and more convenient for me and the commissioner.
the commissioner will know exactly what they will be getting and so will I.
I want to try this once I open commissions again.

I won't be up to talking or interacting much.....if I upload art it will be vents and personal stuff...I am closing for commissions until I am stable enough to do them...the terrible depression is back...
today I had to say goodbye to the person I love most in this world...he is moving back to his home country and not coming back for a long, long time.
I am just...not stable...I am trying my hardest, talking to people, keeping busy, to not fall apart completely. I am sorry if I ignore any of you. I will be on skype if you need me...but i won't be too chatty...

hi! this journal is specifically for those who have commissioned me in the past. I am trying to get my name out there as an artist and slowly planning on making my commissions more of a business type thing, and I would like to take another step by being part of . This is where my customers come in. If you click on their page, you will see a recommendations link. I cannot get into this group alone, I would need my previous customers to make reviews about me in order to be added to the list in this particular group. So I encourage anyone who has been satisfied with my art services to please fill out a recommendation form. It won't take too long I promise. Heeeeyyy the wolverine here with a little update.

Sunday I got back from Anime Central 2014, and it was the best ACen I have ever been to. This was my third year attending and this time I went as a regular attendee, not a staff member, so I got the complete con experience. The only thing I regret was not going to more panels or main events, but that was because I had strong leg pains by the end of each day. Bleh.
But the artist alley/exhibit hall was very great this year, so much variety and diversity. YES I ACTUALLY GOT TO BUY THINGS. Maybe I will post pictures of my loot. Maybe. The people were great, the weather ended up being ok (IT WAS COLD AS BALLS THE FIRST DAY, GDI CHICAGO), and my roomies were awesome. And that Saturday rave...soooo worth it. I got to see all my lovelies (except one, because he is a dumbass :C) and I had a genuinely good time with my RL bestie and her friends.

I cosplayed Crona from Soul Eater on Friday and Fionna the Human on Saturday. Sunday was my casual day. I do have pictures and I will upload a few just not today.

I already have plans for new cosplays, since I got a wave of inspiration soon as I got back. Welp. My money is gon be gone. I just hope I get hired somewhere already I have been trying to get a job for months.

I am starting to become active on DeviantArt again after months, and I will post art there too as well. I am gonna try to open commissions there, since DA is literally a bajillion times bigger than FA and I could surely benefit from any profit I get. It would also help me expand as an artist since I really want to begin the process of opening a business with my art.

One last note, art progress might slow down a little. Why? Well, Sunday I was told by my mom that our landlord wants us out of the apartment in about two month's time. The reason? The landlord wants his spoiled children to occupy the apartment. I mean I get that it's their property and all, but really, it's a dick move to kick out 3 hispanic women (my mom, sister, and I) who are all jobless and are in a very shitty financial situation, and find a suitable place to live plus pack up and move in two months. All so his children won't have to move out like most EVERYONE ELSE and PAY FOR THEIR OWN APARTMENT.
I am mad at this, yes, and I do not think it's fair at all. ANOTHER reason why art might slow down is that I am transferring schools, and going to a community college, and I am taking summer courses.

SO BASICALLY slow art= moving apartments/college/possible job.

Life is taking over and it's come to kick my ass. Again.

I am just...ok, it is so FRUSTRATING when no one gives a shit about your art. I have been trying to sell my YCH preposes and regular commissions for almost 2 months, and what happens?
Nothing.
Nobody even cares.
If I say I need the money really badly (which I actually do! I owe someone money and I have 10 days left to pay her).
If I could just sell my preposes and maybe, just mAYBE one regular commission, it would help me loads.
But no, every time I upload a YCH reminder or post on a facebook furry group (I am in three groups, and I post on all three), I am utterly and completely ignored. No one cares to comment, or even like my stuff. I do not get any notes regarding commissions, and no one buys my art.
Is my art really that ugly? Is it really so horrible that it is nearly undesirable?
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???

I don't think my art is ugly I worked for YEARS to improve and get to where I am now. I even took some years of art classes, and went to an art school for several months.
yet, I see all these other artists that are in the same skill level as I am, or even in a lower skill level, getting all this attention and commissions and praise for their art they just come in HORDES.
My commissions prices are what I thought my art was worth and it isn't even crazy expensive like I have seen other artists do!!!
And here I am, sitting with no one even batting an eyelash. I get favorites, but very few. I never get comments on my art either.

I don't understand why! Is it so bad that I feel like I should get just a little more attention?
Heck, I only expect at least 3 commissions per month but even that would be good enough for me, and most months I get nothing at all. I am willing to WORK for others to earn money myself while I seek out a job.
I do not beg for money or free art, I do not pester other artists, and I do not ever make drama.
I am relatively peaceful and I don't see how that would drive people away...

I cannot stream because my old computer cannot handle streaming and would only be super slow or just crash completely.
I have a laptop but I cannot make digital art with it because my tablet does not work on it.
otherwise I would be offering freebies on occasion.

I am just really angry that no one seems to care at all about my art, let alone commission me when I am in great need of extra cash. I usually would not do vent shit like this unless I am just going to explode...which I am. I am just so frustrated and disappointed and makes me just give up my art sometimes. Sorry if this is too much, but I just needed to vent about it and bring it to light.

So...As the title says I am open for commissions. In fact I am always open but I need money more than ever. And I need to reach a certain amount of money. I will explain.

I have been looking for a job since February. I began applying for jobs with lots of hopes.
Now it's April, and after applying to more than ten places I still have no job. I have been rejected at most places and others have never even bothered to give me a yes or no. So one can say that yes, it has been difficult.

I had been hoping I would have a job by now, because there is a convention I have been planning for months to attend. I have my badge, everything I need for my cosplays, and a hotel room to stay in. The convention is next month and it is the first time I am attending as a regular, not as a staff member. I get to see many friends I have not seen for months, and would be a great relief to attend; it's like a mini-vacation. I have not paid for my hotel room yet, and even if my roomies have been sweethearts and patient with me, I do need to pay; I would need money for food and to spend for myself. Every time I go to conventions, I have little to no money, and this year I want to spend on stuff for myself because I feel like I deserve to spoil myself (please do not take it as selfish, I really do not get out much and it would feel nice to reward myself for all the work I have done). Also, I have been accepted into another college, and orientation is soon along with registration. As most of you know, pre-college stuff requires a student to pay certain fees. Not to mention, I am 95% certain I will be taking summer courses in order to get my gen eds done with good time. There are books I need to buy and new supplies, and make my deposit as well.
I live with my mother and sister, my mother is unemployed and we can barely make the month to support me and my sister. She gets some monetary help, but it doesn't afford everything. I have not been having glasses for almost two months, and only last week I was finally getting new ones. It does not help that I still have not gotten a job, even if I live with my parent I would still like to support myself in some way even if I have not moved out yet. I had never told anyone about this, not even to my online friends. Every project, cosplay wise, art wise, I have funded it myself through months of planning and budgeting. It is a bit difficult seeing as commissioning has always been slow, but that is slowly but surely changing.
My mother can't pay for my college and convention expenses. I need to earn them. And without a job, which I am still looking for (can't give up yet), I turn to the what I am best at. Art. So I am opening commissions. I have set a goal for how much I want to earn with my work, so I can be set to pay for college fees AND have money to spend at this convention.

tl;dr I need to earn money for college fees and a convention and due to having no job I will be earning this money through my art.

My goal is set to $500 dollars by May 10th.
The convention is May 16th, and registration for college courses happens afterwards.
It is quite a number, but I am hopeful I can reach this goal with a lot of work and dedication and help from my wonderful watchers.
I do now know whether or not I will get a job by then, or before the deadline I set. Whatever happens, I will keep my goal open.

I will be taking regular commissions but I will also make more YCH preposes and even some adoptables.

But seriously...unwatching me and most likely other artists because a raffle is over?
I find it rude, insensitive, and just plain stupid.
it may come across as rude, but it's how I feel on the matter.
Artists in general work hard and are dedicated to their craft, watchers means more exposure and a way to know that people enjoy what they make.
Don't be that disrespectful person who unwatches an artist that you yourself added in your watchlist, no matter what the circumstances led to the watch.
