From now on, I will actually start showing my lore works to the public, ranging from drawings, 3D models, and perhaps some stories. While these would be actively posted here, most updates and actual worldbuilding-related writings in detail would be over on my Discord server, which is dedicated to these things.

While I don't know everything, I have an understanding of a wide range of fields such as biology, psychology, sociology, robotics, etc.. So, to get straight to the point: I am not entirely sure what content I want to create on my channel. Obviously, it should be something I love doing, not going for trends or views (and my latest video was a lot of fun to make, honestly). I don't want to be a meme channel, though, or at least I don't feel confident in doing so full-time (as a future outline, this was merely something I felt like doing.

Since I need to grow a specific audience that would watch my content I was wondering what I could create that I would enjoy making and possibly add some uniqueness to the scene.
I love to play a bunch of different games and genres, I rarely ever focus on just one, and most of the time I am not really up-to-date with gaming news and don't enjoy speaking like a waterfall either unless I was invested (thus a gaming news channels and dedicated one-game-content channels are out of the question).
I don't want to be one of those cringe youtube channels that screams or has massively flashy videos to keep people's attention, that is just not me.

I came up with one idea just now that may possibly be unique in its own way and still allows me to do what I love (and do anyway to a degree). For now, the idea is that I play any game I want and record it (voice and facecam, although facecam would not constantly block the screen) but do so in an entire sitting. Let's say I play through subnautica entirely or any game (no matter which game) and it goes for 20 hours straight. I would play it for 20 hours and only stop once I have completed it. When editing the video I would massively compress it, obviously, only showing the highlights or important parts.
I don't speedrun games and tend to take my time with things, thus it would likely reach over 8 hours in raw footage, no matter which game.

What do you guys think or are there any other ideas or suggestions? I would love to read them!

So, I've finally played Star Citizen.

Before buying, I saw how pretty the game was, checking my specs, it should be running perfectly on my machine... etc. WRONG

Once I got into the game in New Baggage: Immediately: LAG
Had to turn down all quality settings to LOW in order to even get 50FPS at 1080p with a minimum of 10FPS at random locations and intervals

Then... the bugs
Firstly, NPCs randomly stand around or inside each other or even T-pose. Now, I don't mind that, it doesn't affect me, just looks weird... however... once I tried to buy myself a weapon on a terminal, the game wouldn't have it. The UI for that terminal did not even load, I couldn't buy anything. Tried to reload, get on a different server... Once I restarted my whole PC it seemed to work.

Okay, fine, I'll still give the game a chance. Now it's time to actually fly a ship!
I bought the Aurora because well, it's the cheapest starter pack (And I'm glad I didn't spend more money for this shit)

Flying works great, I'm used to such controls from other games. All good.
So, I went to the station in orbit, got myself a delivery contract.

First contract EZ, everything worked fine.

Then I got myself another delivery contract which required me to deliver 3 packages instead of 1 now.

I got on my ship, headed to pick up: Worked fine, then delivered the first package, meeting another thankfully friendly player, and then.... a storm came just as I exited my ship...
My ship was flung in the air like it's made out of paper, tossed across the planet 1.2km away from me where it then came to a halt flipped over.

So, I had to run there for 2 minutes, once I got there, trying to get into the obviously spacious enough doors was impossible. The game wouldn't have it cuz it was glitching out, trying to get me to align with the ship's flipped over ground (which is now the ceiling) while fighting the planet's gravity.
I tried glitching myself in, tried flipping the ship... all in vain

After trying for 5 minutes, the ship was tossed 500 meters into the air again, landing 2.5km away from me this time. Already dying of hypothermia, I died halfway of getting back to it.


10/10 Will play again in 10 years. Would not recommend it sooner.

What will I play now... hm, how about Starsector, an actual GOOD game. Haven't played that in a while...

This is a guide on how to create a world and personal character lore alike.

Note: I might update sections if I feel they require a re-work or update.

I am creating this Guide and talk about the things which helped ME to create my own original lore. This may be different for you as every mind is wired differently.
My mind is heavily working through visual thinking. This makes it incredibly easy and natural for me to set up a scene and remember how everything works together as well as quickly fill in blanks if I notice them or someone else does.
So please, take this with a grain of salt and don't feel like you are incapable of creating lore yourself even if you don't have a strong ability of visual thinking. Every brain is wired differently, but all brains are able to be creative!

Step 1: PLANNING

Before coming up with any world or even just a character, make sure you know what you want and what you are capable of! This is an important step.

For example: If you lack knowledge of basic sciences, do not create a character working in these fields!
Even if it Sci-Fi, understand that Sci-Fi may be fiction, but the science of fiction follows rules. You would have to come up with reasonable explanations, otherwise, it turns into fantasy which is a different genre.
Working on your lore later on also becomes very mind-boggling and you might lose the drive or interest to work on it altogether, smashing your head against a wall as you fail to create reasonable lore.

Choose a topic and make sure it is something you know of, like and understand. You cannot be good at everything and that is fine! This is what makes lore unique from each other.

You should feel related to the character or world, giving you the ability to get a stronger feel for it altogether. Trust me that this step is the single most important step of all, it directly dictates how you will work on your lore later down the line. Lore in which you can relate with or understand becomes much easier to work with and filling out blanks as well as brainstorming answers to questions you have never thought of before.

Step 2: FOUNDATION

Do not rush your character or world development! Once you know what you want and what you are capable of, plan exactly what you want to make of it.

For example, You know you want to create something about Sci-Fi, you know about the laws of physics to at least a degree where you can make sense of things. (You don't need to be a physicist to create great sci-fi lore). But now you are working on the details. What is the setting? Is it a normal universe bound to the laws of physics as we know them? If not, explain how different they are.
What are the main characters of the lore? What do they look like? (This step is malleable. You are able to add new characters into your lore anywhere in the future. These will just help you to create a story later on if you wish to make one. It is optional)
What is your character doing in the lore? How does he look like?

In this section you are breaking down and creating the foundation of your lore, creating laws and rules in your lore which all future descriptions will follow. You are not writing a character profile description or in-depth world lore! You are explaining only the foundation upon which you will work; Segmented texts that all explain a single thing in the greater picture. If you forgot to mention anything in your lore or you come up with something new later down the line, it is fine to add small things but usually, it is not possible to remove them. Make SURE you have the main foundation set. You CANNOT change this if you already have an established foundation without re-writing your lore entirely.

Example: If you already created materials in your lore and explained how it functions and many of your lore related areas use this material, you can't just change its properties or remove it from your lore later on without serious re-writing.
If it is about a character, your character has a body that cannot be changed later on. Know how your character looks like during the foundation step! (While it is possible to change or re-write your character's physicality in later steps, it is generally inadvisable as it may create holes in other parts of your lore you are unaware of depending on how established it already is)

Regarding commissioning artists:
You might see that this step also sets the basis of what character info you may send to an artist. Show dedication in what you want! Search for references for the artist to work on. Do not allow artistic freedom with minimal description of your character... trust me that you may find happiness in what you got because it looks so great in the result but later on you scrap the character because you get out of the euphoria, realizing that you actually don't really like the design at all or are unable to relate to it.
So be thorough with the description of your character's looks! You may allow artist freedom on the character's position, though!

Step 3: CONNECTING THE DOTS
Once you have established the foundation of your lore and already know what exactly you wish to create, connect the foundation and build the walls.

In this step, you want to connect the dots of the foundation descriptions of your lore. The texts or thoughts you put into.
This step can get daunting and sometimes mind-boggling. Creating descriptions is one thing, but connecting them so they make sense of each other may be difficult.
If something becomes too unreasonable, you can still re-write or scrap something you have created during the foundation step. This step still allows you to do so. You are still not writing any character or world description past their looks.

Example: You have created materials in your lore and have already explained their properties.
You may have also written or thought of how the material comes to be, is created, or used in applications. You now want to connect these together and more thoroughly describe them by adding more flavor text if you wish. Make sure you read both texts fully again before combining them!

This step is necessary as you want to keep your Foundation texts as short and to the point as possible! If you write long descriptive texts in the foundation step about all kinds of different things in completely different areas, you will forget or make mistakes.
This is also why you do NOT want to write about how a character behaves, how the world behaves, etc, yet! If you create a mish-mash of descriptive text, it will cause problems to the point you may have to scrap what you have jsut written entirely because it makes no sense.

Step 4: DESCRIPTION
Be absolutely sure you are happy with the result of the previous steps as this step puts the roof on your work. You cannot tear down the foundation anymore. You may only be able to tear out some walls.

Now with the dots connected and your texts forming a thorough description about single parts in your lore, character looks, materials and their origin and so forth, you can start with working on psychological profiles of your character.
You might have already thought of it in previous steps unintentionally and that is good! That is part of the planning. You always want to plan ahead and think to make sure you are happy with it.
Now you get to actually put a fully descriptive profile of your character and/or your world.
There really isn't much to explain here. At this point, you can sort of go crazy with whatever you want.
You have already created the rules of your lore during the foundation step by writing about every single thing and have perhaps perfected it during the third step. Now you can write long descriptions about whichever you wish which follows these rules.
You may even add new encounters, and this is encouraged! For example, you may write about the homeworld of your character or that there is another empire at war with the one you are part of. Or you are just a rogue. All of them follow the rules which you have set during the foundation step, these just add more lore!
This step is also continuous, you can always add new and more descriptions, furthering your lore. You may even write stories once you have completed this step.
You may even remove parts of your lore, characters that you have added in this step so long as they don't have a foundational impact on everything involved in this step.

Example: I wouldn't remove an empire from the lore if it has a major role in your lore and possibly already has mentions everywhere in other descriptions.
Just like how removing the protagonist from a movie out of nowhere often ruins any following movies in the series in some way or another. Usually, it is not even possible to remove the protagonist.

Step 5: CHECKING/QUESTIONING
This step doesn't override Step 4. You can still go ham at step 4 and you should!
In this step, you always check if your lore still works in correspondence with anything you may have added! You want to do this frequently. It doesn't have to be thorough but it is good to create headlines for any text you may have written, giving you the ability to quickly see: "Ah yes, the text under this headline may need a few changes with what I have added elsewhere"
In this step, you are checking the descriptive texts you put up during Steps 2 and 3 for the most part or anything you added in step 4 which may have also been added in step 2 or 3.
It is usually safe to ignore psychological profiles, interactions between characters, or anything that is not something critical of the lore. These descriptions usually would have to actively be changed as other new descriptions of something else are unlikely to affect it.

Additional step: ADDING FOUNDATION
Yes, you may add a new foundation. You may even start from step 1 and work yourself back up as you added that foundation to your lore. Perhaps it is something like another universe? A different dimension with new laws?
Here I would say that during Step 3 you would be connecting those two lores together in addition to connecting the texts together of that new universe/dimension. Perhaps there is a safe gateway to that other dimension? But you have already thought of the consequence it holds to travel with one body to the other as the laws of physics are different in that dimension during step 2.


The Result:
You have now reached a completed lore. Complete does not have to mean there is an end! Complete could just mean this: You have a set foundation, yet are free to always add new things or not. The choice is yours.

For me, my lore never ends. I always add new things, characters change or integrate themselves with something new I have made. But the foundation is there, they are bound to the laws of physics and materials which I have added to my lore, described.
This sort of freedom, yet knowing the laws you have created and being bound to those makes it so fascinatingly interesting to me.

Hope this text can help some people. As I said, it might not work as well for you as it did for me. Plus, I might have not even written down everything I could have. I just wanted to write this right now, doing it all in one session cuz I am bored xD.

I have noticed that some people like to make assumptions about my characters and my lore regarding other similar things that already exist, getting very angry at me for 'stealing designs or ideas'. Yes, I take some inspiration from stuff, but if I say that I didn't take the inspiration you assume that I did, then I did not. Simple as that.
I'll mention all 3 of my main characters in steps regarding this problem.

TAU:
Someone mentioned and I imagine many assumed already that TAU is a heavy inspiration from the Warhammer TAU.
To put things clearly: I have never played a Warhammer game, neither have I looked up any of the stories and neither do I ever have seen the TAU in Warhammer up until someone mentioned it. I didn't even know that was a thing.
The only inspiration my TAU has is the name from the Netflix film "TAU". That is literally the only inspiration, even the lore I completely made up on my own, same with the design. It just happens to be coincidental that it is very similar to the TAU in Warhammer.
Great minds think alike I like to think.

E.A.I.S.:
I am not entirely sure because someone who was spoken to by someone who seemingly hates me (for whatever reason) couldn't entirely confirm the reason or 'what' behind it, but they mentioned something about me stealing designs and it was during the time of my first uploads. It could be TAU though it could also be E.A.I.S., specifically the 'head' of the E.A.I.S. ship itself.
There is a heavy inspiration with the head leading towards a short film on youtube called "Rha". While the design isn't stolen, it's heavily inspired. Due to it being my first machine character and art of such thing, I took stronger inspiration than I do now. Most things now are ideas or minor inspirations that turn to look like something different. Much of it is a 'mashup' of different design ideas, creating something new entirely.
The E.A.I.S. ship design is entirely made up, the only inspiration being the position for the ref and ideas of categories/statistics I can write about of the ship itself.

.E.E.P.S. (Guard):
Someone and probably some people may think that Guard is a ripoff of the design from the Lost in Space robot. While it is inspired, how Guard functions and him having been a design idea of mine before I even knew Lost in Space existed (and before I had Netflix) is different. Only a moment after I had the idea of how E.A.I.S. is now somewhere in early-mid 2019 I created Guard as an idea upon Mirage giving me inspiration for such thing. (In January 2018 I created the first 'early access' version of E.A.I.S. called X-72 Nightshade as a machine/A.I. character which has now evolved into E.A.I.S.).
The design has always been organic-looking even in that X-72 Nightshade time back then (I still have that character on F-List), the visor of Guard robot just ended making sense to indicate his emotions as the emotional aspect has also always been a concept of mine.
Talking about the Guard ship design-, as it stands now and further art - the only inspiration is and will be the ship shape, how the ship looks like is already established by taking inspiration of my own design, specifically, E.A.I.S. designs as Guard is his creation.

Conclusion:
Don't assume if you don't know exactly who you're dealing with. My lore is entirely made up where inspirations are to a minimum. Only designs take a bit more inspiration as it is more difficult to imagine the detail visually.

Personal Opinion/Afterthought:
If whoever made these assumptions and/or spoke them out loudly in an attempt to offend me or whatever on some discord servers and comments then-, well, hope this puts a weight off your shoulders so you can deal with your IRL problems. Is it jealousy, hostility towards me, or just plain old anger? Are you one of those people who take rumors for granted and say having a 'Synth' or 'Protogen' character is original? Or perhaps did I 'steal' the name of your character that maybe 3 people in the entire world have seen? Oh I'm sorry that names are not a new concept.

I know it has been like this for some time now but it seems like they took no initiative since then.
What. The. Fuck. Happened. To. The. Design.

What kind of garbage design choice have they gone with now? I use my PC pretty much 98% of the day compared to the mere 2% of my phone. I know others use their phone way more, and some don't even have a PC at all but my god, I cannot bear to look at Patreon now, why have they downgraded so hard that it is literally like I'm projecting my phone screen on the monitor. SCROLL SCROLL SCROLL and massive white borders on the sides.
The design was fine before and it's not difficult to simply make a PC and PHONE version of both. It doesn't take much at all for a site to detect which is being used.

This just looks awful and it pretty much affects every person too because the site looks so garbage now that I bet people who haven't seen Patreon before this are probably like: "This site doesn't look legit". Thus not supporting anyone. And they cannot say that 'they are trying to make it easier to understand for people who are not patrons yet'. Are you fucking kidding me? Even a child would have understood the previous design, this design just hurts to look at to the point a kid would start drawing flowers and shit on the sides of the screen because it looks so empty.

And it's not that the design is bad and so cheap as if an intern made it, it is clearly fucking awful. Who lets this through testing? My god, get some proper people to fix your awful site design.

I've read and seen people unsubscribing (I'll call it) to those they support because of this garbage as they can no longer properly follow and use the site without having to scroll for half a minute or more.

If you haven't heard about this growing site already, it allegedly provides extra copy/leaking protection to creators over on Patreon by allowing content to be more closely monitored and protected by having to link up your Patreon account to the site in order to access the content of the one you support. Apparently, it also has protection and monitorization of those who try to leak your content, more on that soon. You might find that people you support or you yourself are thinking of placing your content behind this 'extra protection'. Just don't. Let me explain why that is.

Now, this is just the things I have gathered that make up the site. I don't use it myself, I just looked around and read some things and if you want my honest opinion now? Either this is a joke or a very cleverly placed market scheme by the creator of that site. I also put some of my own thoughts into it alongside the facts already provided.

It all sounds too perfect, doesn't it? Because it is. The site actually provides near-zero extra protection and just makes you go through the extra hassle of having to upload it to PrimeLeap, then make a post over on Patreon providing the link. It's also known to cause some issues for some patrons viewing the content.

Online nothing is safe, no matter how strong the protection, it will be overcome eventually, and with the lacking protection of Patreon and PrimeLeap it's just a simple google search for anyone and your content is stolen/leaked, downloaded by people elsewhere that pay THAT site instead of you.
You see, if you give people access to your content, there is bound to be one of them that leaks it. And the extra monetization of who leaks your content over on PrimeLeap is not helping at all unless it was to track everything you currently do on your computer as you have the site open, saving the data and have someone review it. You can get away with it by simply creating a screenshot or a recording, not even mentioning that people found a way to bypass the actual paywall on the site. But I can't talk much about that one, I just know and have seen that people managed to get clear footage leaked despite there being protection.
I have actually just randomly been googling if anyone managed to get leaked content of a creator using PrimeLeap and will you look at that, within a day it was leaked. Sure using PrimeLeap protects you from places like yiff.party but do you really think that is the only provider of leaked content from Patreon? People can upload your leaked content ANYWHERE. And it takes nothing more than a quick google search as one has most likely leaked it.

Do not bother using PrimeLeap.


With that been said, moving onto paywalls. What's my opinion on them? Well depending on the situation, if you have high security, preventing anything from being stolen, copied or anything of the likes, then it works. Think about copyright.
However, Patreon does not have this, which means that placing your content on Patreon behind a paywall will just cause you frustration over the long run. Sure, it does give you a small benefit because some people might simply not be aware that they can just google search your leaked content in a few minutes max. and just give in instead. In the end, though, the frustration created as you learn that people leak your content, drive others to these places or sites and have them pay their money there instead of you, it'll just boil up inside of you as you become more popular and a higher target to these attacks.
I'm not saying paywalls are bad here, there are clever ways you can make your Patreon paywalls actually worth it. For example: Instead of simply having it like most creators do where you can only view this or that image depending on your pledge, just have the rewards being something like a discount on commissions for example. Usually, these people won't be commissioning much anyway and besides, what's better, a stable income through Patreon or an erratic one that makes you look at your next month's rent, sweating as you desperately try to open emergency commissions?

The moral of the story is, simply placing paywalls because you are so sure it's secure and you'll make more money out of it is a very dumb way to think about it. People who genuinely want to support you, do so, even if there is no paywall. Those who don't will just use the power of google. Besides, having your content be seen by the free public will result in more interest of supporters, because they can actually see what you're creating.
Just like a prison; locking away the threat is not the answer, it just creates more criminality. The cycle continues and gets worse.
