Wondering if anyone would like one?
The painting will be on a 6" x 9" paper,
and shipped to you for free.
I'm looking to price them around $40,
since they're not only time consuming, but they also use up my supplies.
I won't go lower than $35 tho.
It can be one or more characters (maximum of three)
with a background.
These take me a little longer than normal commissions,
but I think they're really relaxing and fun.

Posted 11 years agoSo, my high school (of which I just graduated from) FINALLY wants me to make a new mascot for them.
AFTER I've already left.
Even though I spent the entire year in ASB trying to convince them to let me, since theirs is shit.
But it was always NO.
However, this year's ASB convinced the supervisor.
Over three weeks ago, I was asked, and I was supposed to be contacted by the supervisor about it.
They can't afford full price costume at my prices, so I offered material price, and extra.
(Like, around $100-$200, way less than minimum wage).
I was never contacted.
Then, out of the blue, two days ago, I was asked to go to the school for a meeting with him to get it settled.
At 8 in the morning.
In my summer.
So, flash forward to today.
I wake up at 6:30 to get ready.
Packed my notebook, references, price breakdowns, etc.
Ride my bike in the chilly morning all the way there.
To find he's not there.
"He's late" I assume.
The office ladies call and call, but he never picks up.
I let myself into his office and wait for an hour.
And hour of doing almost nothing.
I finally give up, write him a note with my email, and leave.
I text the ASB president regarding it, and he's upset.
He's been trying to get ahold of the supervisor for a few hours.
I'd feel bad if something really bad happened, but I don't think that's the case.
At this point, I do not think it would be beneficial to me at all to take this project on.
I mean, I was very excited to remake him, but that was when I attended the school.
I can't believe they would come to me after I graduated and finally ask me to do it.
I won't be paid really at all, and the time I use to make the mascot, I could use for a commission.
I remember the supervisor wanting it before school.
Which starts on September 3rd for them.
But that was over three weeks ago, and I no longer have that time.
The only pro, I think, is I would have another suit under my belt.
So, do you think I should even take this on?

The reason the supervisor wasn't there was because he was out of town for a conference.
Nonetheless, he should have contacted me prior.
He "forgot".

An Apology!
Posted 11 years agoSo, I just wanted to take this small amount of time I have to apologize to everyone.
I feel really terrible about a lot of things, and feel the need to write them down here, and try to get everything straight.
Alright.
I'm sorry for taking such a long time on art commissions.
Like, I cannot explain how often they cross my mind, because it'd take up a whole novel.
I really feel bad that I cannot get them all done lickity split, but yeah.
I do not feel like making excuses, either. I could have had them done if I worked harder on them.
I'm just busy, and get so overwhelmed by everything that I often end up doing nothing because I spend so much time worrying about things rather than doing them.
But, I really am getting closer to finishing, I really am.
And I've decided that I will only take 5 at a time, and finish them before doing anything else.
I need to get better at saying no, and managing my time.
I'm sorry that my fursuits aren't perfect.
Like, I know that I'm a new maker, and no suit is truly perfect,
but nonetheless, I always feel bad when a seam pops, or a tooth becomes loose.
I often blame my skills, while forgetting that I'm still learning.
I thank everyone who is patient with me, and is willing to work with me.
Constructive criticism is the best, and REALLY helps me learn.
That being said, I hope to get better, and have less small issues in the future.
I'm sorry I can be bad at replying, sometimes.
Sometimes, again, I get overwhelmed, or extremely worried about people getting upset,
so I, again, avoid messages altogether in hopes it will resolve itself.
This is not a good way to work, and I'm working on being better about that.
I'm sorry that sometimes shipping your items out takes a while.
If it's more than a badge, it's hard because I have to ride my bike quite a ways to the post office.
Sometimes it's hard because of weather, or time constraints.
Luckily, this coming fall, a post office will be within walking distance of my dorm,
so I will (hopefully) be getting stuff out much faster!
So, I apologize.
If you feel like I've missed anything, let me know.
And if you have any advice for time management, that would also be appreciated. EVERYTHING UPDATE

Life gets in the way sometimes! But, I'm here to tell ya all about it!
MY LIFE
So, as most of you know, I'm moving 100 miles north of where I am now to attend college.
In six weeks, I am out of this house and into my first own place!
So, a lot of packing and cleaning has been happening.
I've been fangirling over two things: MCR members, and Game of Thrones.
So, at nights, when I'm too tired to do any more work, I watch GOT.
IT IS SO GOOD HOLY CRAP.
Just finished Season 2 last night, and really excited to start 3 tonight.
Also, MCR.
Frank Iero is coming out with a record, and I've already preordered the vinyl and a shirt.
Gerard Way is coming out with a record, and I WILL preorder it when that's an option.
I MAY be seeing Frank in Seattle when I'm up at RF (Thursday night), but that's still TBA.
But, I'm really liking what I've heard of BOTH projects.
I actually spent a few hours yesterday figuring out Frank's song "weighted" on my ukulele.
It's a really good song, with a REALLY awesome video.
FURSUIT
I'm still trying to get through all of my quotes, since I got so many and each takes about 10 minutes.
But! I have already contacted the person who got my slot, and they're VERY excited to work with me.
And the other suit commission, Eluna, is underway! Her fur arrived the other day and I've got the head done.
So, I've planned to finish both suits within this next 6 weeks, so keep an eye out for WIPs and such!
ART
Trying to spend time on commissions and personal.
I realized that I hardly ever draw for myself, and it bums me out.
And I want to start uploading more personal stuff, even if it's sketches.
Actually drew a really awesome drawing of Gerard and Frank two days ago,
and I'm super proud of it, especially since humans aren't my strong point.
But! I am still working on art commissions.
I strive to get at least one done a day, and I'm going to upload them all at once, to save time!
So, no worries about that.

I've been daydreaming about getting her a Lolita dress forever, and I've narrowed it down to two.
I think someday I'll own both, because they're both lovely,
but I need to know which I should save up for and get first!

Posted 11 years agoThis is gonna be short and sweet, but whatever!
Officially registered for Rainfurrest as of today! They rolled over my admission money from last year,
because they're great and all that kind of junk. I cannot wait.
I've decided the premade species, and drew some concept art.
It will be a full partial, with feet custom made for the winner's size.
It's gonna be radical.
I ordered the fur for Eluna's fullsuit!
Should be here next week or so.
For now, I will be doing foam work, and anything else I can do.
The suits I will be making for the rest of the summer are:

Macklemore the bat
Scottie, the Scottish Terrier (mascot for my high school)
AND... well, whoever snags the upcoming slot from me!
These SHOULD all be done before RF. So, hopefully, there will be a few more suits there for the shoot!
(Me included, there will be three LGF suits attending, as far as I know)
I will be out of town on Tuesday and Wednesday, but will have my computer.
However, from Friday to Monday, I will be gone on a family camping trip.
After that, it is full-force working.
Also! Getting some plushies together for a garage sale.

I will keep my quote form open until JULY 30th, which means you get four days to fill out my form.
REQUIREMENTS:
I am looking to make either a PARTIAL or a FULLSUIT at this time.
I will, unfortunately, not be taking head only, bodysuit, or small part commissions now.
Sorry for the inconvenience to those who wanted something smaller.
You NEED to have your down payment ready within two weeks of applying for a quote.
Remember, I offer payment plans for the rest of the payment, but the deposit is needed ASAP.
This is about 35% of the entire price.
