I still have no clue what to do with this site, since it doesn't offer easy name swapping, but just as a heads up, I'll probably be swapping accounts in the near future!

I've decided to cancel my most recent comic project. Reasoning being that I was pressuring myself to make it, and at a fast pace. I realize now that was a very toxic method of thinking, and while I do need to work on getting stuff done on a deadline, this doesn't mean i need to cripple my work for that sake. I have realized in this last month, that I don't work well under pressure and I cant jump feet first into strict dead lines.
That said, Ninzuku is a character incredibly close to my heart and I am going to rewrite the story into one that I can be proud of. I've barely begun the thumbnailing phase, and it already feels more enjoyable than its previous incarnation.
Not sure if that's all the info I need to say... But, there you have it. May post the pages I have already finished, but definitely not until I have the first chapter of the new story complete and posted.

Figured it was time for another one of these!
Posted 8 years agoI have always kinda ignored most journals I get in my inbox, and I don't know how many other people do the same? I feel like I should be paying them at least a little more mind...
Either way, it's been over a year since I made a journal! So I figured it was time for another one.
I'll be trying to monetize my artwork more and more as time goes on... I'd like to open and sell commissions more often, and eventually work up to a point where I can make at least some part-time cash off of it. I've always drawn since I was young and have always dreamed of having it as any sort of occupation, and recently I've begun to surround myself in folks who are able to monetize their gifts and talents, and I've kinda realized, I'm sick of sitting on my butt, and not doing anything with my life. I'm going to try and stay as active on the web as I can, maybe even post more than 1 journal a year, and improve my art as much as possible as time goes on.
As far as my comic process goes... I plan to keep posting weekly when I have a series going, as the trail run of "A Pet's Day Off" fit my lifestyle relatively well. I deeply enjoyed working on the comic, and they are much more time consuming than regular art forms, even if they don't get quite the level of color, soft-shade, and visual effects as my standard art does. So, seeing as I still work a part time job (Cuz bills are a thing and I kinda just need money) the weekly posting gives me time to brainstorm ideas, get started on the coverart for my next project and hopefully get started on the next comic all while I am simply posting. I'm going to be a tad more ambitious and try to have my next idea completely sorted out before the end of "Renamon's Collar" so I can go right into the next comic (Even though RC is going to be quite a bit shorter than APDO, I'm kinda just trying stuff out right now). You can expect to see Page 1 of Renamon's Collar go up this Friday. I had been debating on switching over to Sundays because I could post during the daytime, but decided against it.
So, yeah, if anyone sees this and is interested in commissions, feel free to note me as friends have helped me work out a system on PayPal that will work, (PS it'll be using PayPal ;D). AND Hopefully comic will start to flow out at a bit better of a pace from here on out!

I'm going to try and keep everything more up to date around here from now on. Hopefully I'll be able to get into the habit of just posting stuff here and other places when I finish up something.

Apartment Help, please

and i have been trying to find an apartment for a little bit, however we just tried to turn in a paper and the lady essentially turned us down because she earns her money through commissions and the lady said that isn't a reliable enough income.
Now kia is literally crying next to me over how she feels like she doesn't make enough money to move out, when she makes plenty per month.
Anyways the point of this journal was not to ask for money, essentially I am asking if any other artists out there who make their living off commissions who could offer some advice, i am asking on her behalf because she is refusing to ask anyone for help right now. So any artists or fans of her work, if you could please help, just some advice would be nice.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS, OH GOD TELL ME THIS ISN'T A LIE.
Ok.... i have not been compulsively checking this actually xD im not even a "HUGE" fire emblem fan.... i am a fan, but not one of the crazy "RAEP ME MARTH" ones xD but my youtube has been PACKED with E3 videos cuz i subscribed to nintendo so im getting all their E3 stuff about the wii U and 3ds games. and i watched their video on announced games and I was like "i feel like there was something i was waiting for E3 to see if it was gonna come out.... but i can't remember, but, then i remembered, and i looked up "fire emblem awakening usa release news" and got that link. on google, it says it was published only 20 minutes ago.... so if it is true, nothing is going to be updated for awhile.
SO! hopefully this is true, i will probably check for this twitter post it mentions cuz i don't like being lied to >w>

BOOOOORDOME
Posted 13 years agook, so.... i wana say right now.... i hate when i get bored, cuz i know there is a million things i could/should be doing.... Dx
today.... i was just gonna go see carl's new cat with jessica.... and then spend the rest of the day playing video games and texting her, seeing as I have big plans tomorrow and wanted to hang out with her for them.... HOWEVER, her mom through one of her tantrums today and she has to stay home with no computer, video games or phone.... basically because the floor wasn't clean enough for her.... (yea.... apparently the floor has to sparkle or else she gets grounded :\) I'm assuming this was a bartering chip jess used, because more likely than not, her mom said she just wasn't gonna get to see me all week, and she knew that i finally had a free week from work for us to hang out together, so she offered her phone and computer up so we could still hang out....
sadly though.... NOW IM BORED. it isn't bored as in i have nothing to do.... i have a comic i need to finish up because i was actually gonna submit it over a month ago xD; and a million games i need to finish up.... but.... its simply that.... everything seems so grey to me right now -3-
i know it sounds corny saying that jessica shows me the colors of the world..... but quite frankly i've just been laying on my floor, staring at my computer screen for 5 hours xD; i dont even know if i'll be able to get to sleep tonight im so darn bored....
well, that's all i really wanted to do.... type all this out, mostly just to kill time.... TwT

Summer stuff
Posted 13 years agoOk.... so im happy i got off my art block when i did, cuz summer break is right around the corner.... 3 weeks away till a nice relaxing break from my teacher and SCC in general... sure EVERYONE in my class is being pessimistic and saying "oh it will just make it worse when we get back. Oh we're just gonna have more work than ever. complain, whine, complain." However, im going to stay positive and think of the good side of things e.g. getting away from the place and being able to take a breath without remembering a forgotten assignment.
I am going to try and improve my art A TON over the break... because i finally found a medium that i can actually finish projects and be happy with them, granted i am not perfect with it yet (duh), but i wana get a lot better....
I am going to try and diversify my drawings between the "naughty" and the fighters.... while i am quite behind on the naughty aspect.... i on have 3-4 characters that really are made for that sort of thing... the rest were all made out as warriors. which i am thinking about some rule 34 crossovers with a few of my warrior characters.... i just don't want them to turn into porn stars... I just never get to see Kitzuma's cool design cuz her stupid shirt covers it TwT (rant alert).
Above all else, i love this new medium cuz of ADHD, which makes it hard to focus on one thing all at one prolonged period of time. when i was editing pictures in gimp, i would literally just stop drawing/coloring cuz something distracted me, but with the prisma markers and the fancy pens i've been using i can pump out a drawing in 2 hours or less.... not nearly enough time for me to get distracted.
Summer break is going to be a nice long break, while i am a little worried about work... it can't become too terrible.... i mean, there is a limit on my hours. so i will be able to kick back and relax so much more....
In general my summer plans are to just improve with coloring prisma...
