Today sucks...
Posted 11 years agoToday's one of those days I kind of wish didn't happen.
My dad's done nothing but snap at me.
My mom says his back hurts.
He got mad at me because I didn't know something.
Nobody ever tells me anything here.
And they wonder why I'm never home anymore.
They keep expecting me to know things that are going on or that happened, when I see them for maybe a total combined time of four hours week.
And when I am home, all they want to talk about is my work schedule or how school is going.
And yet they get mad at me when I have to do laundry or something, because I haven't had any free time at home in over two weeks.
When I am home, I usually have time to eat and sleep, before getting to go to the job I hate, that doesn't even pay me enough to put gas in my tank for two weeks.
And they wonder why all I do when I'm home is sleep...
Nobody gets mad at me in my dreams...

Meh...
Posted 11 years agoMy depression was bad today.... my anxiety's been bad too. Trying to figure out what the trigger was this time, other than Valentine's Day is tomorrow. Blech.
All it does is remind me how I have commitment issues and how much I hate the color pink.
Only good things about it are roses are pretty and smell pretty, there's teddy bears, and chocolate.
Work SUCKED today.
Hopefully tomorrow's better.

Posted 12 years agoAfter coming down the long paved driveway, you approach a large log cabin. It's got a wide wraparound porch, and you can see a lake down behind it. There are beautiful stained-glass panels on either side of the hand-carved pine double-doors. The window designs are some sort of bluish-purple flower, with green vines and a clear background. The handles on the doors are bronze, cast to look like they're carved wood.
Inside, there's a foyer that takes up both floors, with a magnificent moose-antler chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There's a sweeping staircase on each side, leading upstairs to the bedrooms. The floor is black slate, like this: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/q.....kZ0u3E8elVKFaY .
The stairs are rough-hewn wood, and the railing is hand-carved wood and bronze, made to look like branches. Beyond the foyer is the main living area.
There's a huge kitchen on the right, with black marble countertops, a big island with a sink on it, a six-burner stove, two ovens, and a huge fridge and freezer, all stainless steel appliances and glass-fronted pine cabinets with bronze hardware.
On the right is a large living room area, with big windows looking out over the lake and a door out to the porch. There's several giant comfy dark brown leather reclining couches, a matching ottoman, and several big comfy beanbags in muted earth tones. There's a 65" LCD tv, with every game system imaginable, tons of games, and a blu-ray player and loads of movies. The consoles are kept in a wood and glass case under the tv, and the games and movies are stored in a glass-fronted cabinet. There's a fantastic surround-sound system, the small but powerful speakers hidden around the room.

ANOTHER SICK CHICKEN
Posted 12 years agoGUYS I have a sick chicken! Anyone have any helpful advice?
She's a Buff Orpington, three years old (I believe), and has been acting completely normal, until today.
This morning, my dad noticed she was acting odd, instead of running away she'd crouch down and let herself get pet/picked up/etc. (I don't have very social chickens, sadly.) My mom said she was broody, and that she'd gone and sat in one of the nesting boxes. (Buffs go broody this time of year, it means they want to sit on eggs.)
I go out to check for eggs a little while ago, and notice she's still on the nest. I go to pet her, and she doesn't do what a broody hen normally does, which is puff up and make funny noises. She just sits there.
Her comb and wattles are dark, and oddly hard/stiff, instead of being normal and bright red and floppy. Her keel is really prominent, and she feels a lot lighter than she should. (Leading me to think she's been sick for a while). The feathers around her vent were caked with poo, and smelled AWFUL. Chickens naturally have a bit of an odor to them, but this was so bad I was gagging. And it takes a really nasty smell to do that to me.
Her temperature is REALLY low (chickens are normally like 107 degrees Fahrenheit), and when I picked her up the first time, she had her toes splayed out really far, and her feet were stiff. She can hardly stand, and is keeping her eyes closed, for the most part. Her breathing seems to be a bit labored, and is slower than it should be. She has just enough energy left to fight a syringe full of warm honey-water.
Her crop's empty, and her belly doesn't feel hot/swollen, so to the best of my knowledge she's not impacted or eggbound.
The worst part of this is, she's my favorite hen. WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN WHEN I'M HOME ALONE?!?!

just got home.
car broke down. again. wouldn't start.
had to wait for tow truck guy.
gave guy wrong info and he couldnt tow me (its stupid and complicated)
however he was super nice and towed my car to a nice gas station in a slightly less sketchy part of town (it's amazing what a few blocks can do)
had to wait for parents
they showed up, and my car started and ran fine
mom drove it home, with me in the passenger seat

REALLY SICK OF YOUR SHIT, CAR.
tomorrow i get to find where a certain thing is (electronic control module) because apparently this one part malfunctions when it gets too hot so i need a new one
apparently it's a common problem on Ford Tempos.
on the upside, a little old black man called me sweetheart, which made me smile (he was checking to see if i needed help), and i learned that "southwestern style chicken with black beans and rice" MRE's taste absolutely amazing.
but i have to drive my mom's truck tomorrow. i hate that thing.

Posted 12 years agoSunday: got in an argument with a security guard over bringing in my video camera (ended up burying it in pine needles to retrieve later), then my ticket wouldn't scan. went to box office, they fixed it and then gave me two assigned seats.
Josh and I sat on the lawn anyways with some friends we made in line and entertained ourselves by telling bad jokes in between sets. Got to meet two of the bands, Charming Liars and Beware of Darkness, and got their autographs.
We saw: Charming Liars, Beware of Darkness, Circa Survive, Coheed and Cambria, Jane's Addiction, and Alice in Chains.
My neck is sore from all the headbanging.
And tomorrow we shall rock even harder!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So.... Mondaay was fuckin' AMAZING. Saw Lola Black, Attika 7, Airbourne, Texas Hippie Coalition (SO BADASS), All That Remains (they played Two Weeks. I WAS SO HAPPY.), HIM, Halestorm (had a few sound issues, but they were still good), Volbeat, and AVENGED SEVENFOLD OH MY GOD THEY WERE SO AWESOME. Their stage setup was SICK. I didn't think that much pyrotechnics was still legal.
Obviously I stayed home today, sore, can't talk, keep coughing, and I'm broke and out of gas. So...no driving for me today. Doing a bajillion chores instead to earn more gas money.
In total, between the two days, I got a Charming Liars EP, a Coheed and Cambria wristband, a "Locura 2013" tank top, an Alice In Chains Locura tour shirt (the kind with the lineup on the back and the band name and picture thing on the front), and another tour shirt with Avenged Sevenfold on the front. Gotta love scalpers.
Totally worth the sore throat, tight shoulders, slight sunburn, and blisters on my feet (no idea how I got them).

Hair: What hair color looks best on you and what's your natural color? ---- Everyone says I look really good as a redhead, so I've had red hair for several years now, but I'm naturally a kinda blah dirty blonde. I do miss getting highlights from playing outside though, my hair used to turn the coolest colors in the summer.
Skin: Do you tan easily? ---- I burn a bit, then tan. My Left arm is soooo tan from driving, it's ridiculous.
Eyes: What is your favorite show to watch? ---- Currently it's Bones. Though I am a member of the SuperWhoLock fandom.
Nose: What is your favorite perfume/candle fragrance? ---- I'm really sensitive to scents, most perfumes and candles give me nasty headaches. Posted 12 years agoI had a panic attack/anxiety attack/ mental breakdown thing happen at school today. I've had them before, but never this bad.
We were doing this lab/worksheet thing after lunch, and it had math in it, and it kept getting harder and harder to focus. I couldn't even do simple addition in my head. I'd start skipping numbers, or forgetting where I was when I was counting. It kept getting more and more frustrating.
My vision went all weird, and I started seeing double. It started getting harder and harder to breathe, and my heart started pounding. I got all shaky, and the lights got too bright, and I had this feeling of just careening out of control, like I was on a roller coaster that was going too fast towards a break in the tracks, and I felt like something really really bad was going to happen.
I felt like I was going to black out. The instructors let us go for a smoke break, and I all but ran outside, thinking fresh air would help. It didn't. It felt like it was 500 degrees out, and the sunlight on my skin felt like I was holding my hands way too close to a fire.
When I went back in, I went to the bathroom to splash some water on my face, and there were really dark circles under my eyes, and I was really pale.
I went back to the computer lab to finish my work, and just started shaking. I felt like I was going to puke. Every muscle in my body was tense, and beyond my control.
I kinda blacked out for a moment after that, and next thing I remember I had my hands over my ears, trying to block out all noise, and my eyes squeezed shut. I think I may have whimpered a bit. I know I cried a little, silently. It got really hard to breathe, like there was no oxygen in the air, and I couldn't focus my eyes at all.
Eventually it passed, leaving me shaky and exhausted. This whole thing lasted like three hours, maybe more.
Has anyone else ever had something like this? Or have I finally completely lost it?

I'm numb, but it hurts too.
If I feel this awful, I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through.
I feel so helpless.... I want to help both of them....but I don't know what to do... I just want both of them to know that I will always be there for them, no matter what.
I won't pick sides. They are both equally important to me, and I'd do anything to help them.
They are the people in my life I'd take a bullet for. I'd be the one to push them out of the way of the car, only to get hit myself, if it meant saving them.
They mean the world to me, and I don't want either of them to ever forget it.

i hate being the middle person. every time i start talking to him on the phone he starts crying again. i'm fucking BAWLING. i mean...i introduced them. i'm like their only mutual friend. this is seriously almost as bad as being part of the breakup itself.
turns out one of the most painful things in the world is hearing one of your strongest guy friends just pretty much bawling over the phone, and knowing you can't do anything about it
my heart hurts
it's the kind of thing, you realize how much certain people, certain friends, mean to you, and how much it kills you to see/hear them in any kind of pain

Tonsilitis sucks (RANT) (warning: gross/graphic)
Posted 12 years agoThis past week I've been really sick, had the same thing last month. And the month before. Turns out, I've got chronic tonsilitis and need to get them surgically removed soon.
My mom keeps looking up all kinds of homeopathic remedies, and I'm just like NO. I WANT THEM OUT. FUCK YOU. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS. YOU DON'T LIVE IN CONSTANT, NAUSEA INDUCING PAIN PRETTY MUCH EVERY MONTH. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH PAIN THAT BRINGS YOU TO YOUR KNEES JUST FROM BREATHING.
It hurts so bad I can't even swallow my own spit when it's at its worst, I have to keep a disposable bottle and spit in it (NOT PRETTY.). I end up sleeping with my mouth open, because my nose gets all fucked up too, and it dries out so bad I get bleeding cracks on my lips and tongue. I have to wake up every fifteen minutes to take a drink, and the water feels like fucking ACID. It's bad enough to make me cry. My ears hurt so bad I can't sleep, or listen to music (music is my life, therefore this is a serious problem for me) (while I'm sick I get maybe three hours of sleep a night. Maybe.).
I don't want to eat, and everything, even ice cream and pudding, feels like broken glass and/or acid going down, and I can't taste it. The flesh on the inside of my throat is physically shredded, from where infected tissue over my tonsils has died and come off (I get these white patches and pockets, and last month some of it was black. The tissue was literally rotting off.) (I end up spitting out nasty bloody stuff for a few days).
I usually get a secondary sinus infection, and so I have to deal with having a stuffy nose and the pain in my face from swollen sinuses, and I'm unable to blow my nose because the muscles in my throat don't work. I can't swallow even the tiniest of pills, I have to kinda tip my head back, made difficult by my tonsils swelling up to about the size of large golf balls (maybe bigger), making it pretty much impossible to move my jaw or turn my head. Plus, constantly having my mouth open to breathe all the time makes the muscles in my jaw freak out, and cramp up, making me unable to close my mouth at all.
I have all of this going on, plus a pretty high fever that not only makes me achy and miserable, it also brings on pretty strong hallucinations. Yeah. I thought it was just the Percoset my dad gave me, to see if it would help with the pain at all, but then it wore off and I was still having them. I'd hear someone say my name, even if I was alone in the room, or hear birds chirping in the middle of the night, even if my window was closed. I'd think I was smelling odd things, like pie or grilling meat, even though my nose was so stuffed up and swollen it was impossible to breathe. I'd see odd lights and shadows out of the corners of my eyes or on walls, even though I knew they had no source.
At this point, I'm pretty convinced I'm just completely bat-shit crazy.
And yet my dear sweet mother doesn't want me to get them surgically removed.
My mom keeps looking up all kinds of homeopathic remedies, and I'm just like NO. I WANT THEM OUT. FUCK YOU. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS. YOU DON'T LIVE IN CONSTANT, NAUSEA INDUCING PAIN PRETTY MUCH EVERY MONTH. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH PAIN THAT BRINGS YOU TO YOUR KNEES JUST FROM BREATHING.
