Ok, so my arm hurts because of nerve damage, in December of 2011 I slipped and fell on my stairs, and there's like this little ledge thing and I smacked my left elbow right on the corner.
I jacked the nerve up really bad. I thought I'd broken it. I probably fractured something, I never went to the doctor though.
Now my entire arm, from shoulder (sometimes involving my collarbone as well) to fingertips, gets all achy sometimes, but for some reason today it hurts way more than usual. It feels like each end of my humerus is in a vice, and someone's taken those vices and is twisting the bone the way one wrings out a wet towel or something, and my hand's really stiff.
Plus, my whole arm feels cold from the inside, same way it felt the few times I've had to get an IV at the hospital.
Any tips on relieving the pain?
NOTHING I've tried has helped. Heat, cold, massage, ibuprofin, tylenol, and vicodin all make absolutely no difference.

O_O i went to the kitchen to get a drink and check on the lizard I'm taking care of, and noticed the motion-activated lights on the front of the garage were on. thought nothing of it.
bent over to check the lizard, then went to the kitchen to get said drink, and saw that front lights were off, but the one on the back porch was now on. and that my cat was staring out the window, all puffed up with her eyes all big like something out there was scary.
needless to say, i'm not going out there the rest of the night.
and i forgot to get my drink.

I've had my best friend go batshit on me, for really odd reasons (accusations of trying to steal her boyfriend, who is like a brother to me and has been for years, accusations of trying to copy her (I'm sorry, I didn't know hoodies, tanktops and jeans with skate shoes was trademarked), to copying her music taste (sorry I like fun music? and most of the bands she accused me of copying from her I heard with other friends or on the radio.). We're good now, she had family issues going on at the time (which I didn't know until later), but it still gets to me.

I don't think I've told many people, but sometimes I get...flashbacks? of a past life.
I lived in Ireland, and worked in a stable. I remember a big brown draft horse with a cream colored tail, and sleeping in sweet hay. I remember the ocean, even though I've never seen it in this life. I remember the feel of the water, the sand between my toes, and the cries of the seabirds. I had red hair, more orange than what I dye it now, and freckles. I remember the laughter of the men from the local tavern, and the singing in church. I think my name was Bridget. That was either my name or the name of someone close to me. And I remember a boy/young man. He had eyes the color of the sea, and brown hair. He loved to sing, and hated wearing shoes. He had a gift with horses. 1. What is your full name? Do you have a nickname?

Full name: RiverStep Shiuloir (shoo-LOR). Nickname: River

2. How old are you? When is your birthday?

By the Terran Gregorian calendar, my birthday is August 19th, and I was born 21 Terran years ago. By my planet's measurements, I was born on the 14th day of the month of the Messenger, in the 168th year of the Shield.

3. Where were you born? Where do you live now? Are you patriotic?

I was born to the Meraki Clan, in the Merak jungle on my homeworld of Bastet. I live on Earth now, for most of the time. And Earth politics make no sense to me. On Bastet you are either born into power, or you fight for it, with weapons, not words and obnoxious television advertisements involving false promises.

4. Who are/were your parents? (Names, occupations, personalities, etc.)

Father: WindStar
Mother: SunPelt

5. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?

Older twin brother, born a few minutes before me, named FrostFall, a younger brother named AshTail, and a younger sister names AmberHeart. Frost's a bit more serious than I am, but not by much. Ash is a crossdresser. *laughs* He is always stealing mine and Amber's clothes. Amber is sweet, but a bit naive.

6. What is your occupation?

I am a genetic botanist. I design plants and such for various reasons, be it increased nutritional value, air/water/soil purification/enhancement, disease/drought resistance, medical value...you get the point. I have a HUGE greenhouse with all my work, plus samples of flora from all over the galaxy.

7. How tall are you? How much do you weigh?

I am 6 feet one inch tall, and about 135 pounds in Terran measurements.

8. What color is your hair? What color are your eyes?

My hair is a darker shade of my fur, with even darker streaks. My eyes are a pure, light blue, with darker flecks.

9. What is your race?

Bastet, pure Meraki Clan.

10. To which social class do you belong?

Upper-Middle class, among my people. On Terra I am about the same.

11. Do you consider yourself to be attractive? Do others?

Yes. *laughs*

12. What is your style of dress?

"Punk", or sometimes "rave". I enjoy the color black, and band t-shirts. And "Tripp pants". They are so comfortable!!

13. Do you have any scars? Tattoos? Birthmarks? Other unique physical features?

I have silver ring piercings in both ears, towards the tip, with two on my right ear, one on the left, and a silver barbell piercing in my left eyebrow. I have no birthmarks. I have a four-inch long scar on the inside of my right ankle from a hunting accident, and another on my left shoulder, running seven inches from my shoulder blade to my collarbone.

14. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?

I am allergic to many pollens and other common allergens on Terra. On Bastet, I have no allergies. No diseases. My right shoulder is weaker than it should be, because of a serious childhood accident involving a hoverboard (yes, we have hoverboards) and the ground. The impact tore several ligaments, and the scarring has compromised the joint.

15. Are you right- or left-handed?

Ambidextrous, as are most Bastets. I tend to favor my right hand.

16. What does your voice sound like?

It is difficult to explain what one's voice sounds like. I guess mine is a bit deep, rough occasionally (I have found cigarettes to my liking, and the smoke has affected my vocal cords). It gets higher when I am upset or excited.

17. What kind of vocabulary do you use?

It depends on my audience. This interview is rather formal, and my vocabulary reflects this. When I am with family, it is more relaxed, but still respectful, but if I am with my friends, be they Bastet or Terran furs, I use slang and swear like the rest of them.

18. List three quirks or other defining characteristics.

I am an expert pilot and ship mechanic, I enjoy sleep more than one should, and I refer to most ships, automobiles, and other complex machines using female pronouns.

19. How often do you bathe? Do you wear perfumes?

I bathe daily, and my natural scent (described as "citrus" by my Terran friends) is often mistaken for perfume.

20. What kind of facial expression do you commonly wear (dour glare, wry smile, etc)?

I am usually smiling, but when I am alone, or if I am concentrating, my expression is rather neutral.

21. Do you use body language?

Of course I do. Body language is very important in Bastet culture.

22. Do you have a commonly used saying?

*shrugs* Not really.

Childhood

23. What is your earliest memory?

My earliest memory is of my mother and father taking Frost and I to the Caomnior ( literally translates to "Guardian" Space Station orbiting our planet for a weekend. I think my brother and I were about three Bastet years old.

24. How much schooling have you had? Did you enjoy it?

I've had extensive schooling other than what is standard for all Bastet children, for my botany, genetic studies and manipulation, and mechanic skills.

25. Where did you learn most of your knowledge and skill?

Most of my schooling was done at the University of the Moon Guardian, on the Caomnoir.

26. How would you describe your childhood in general?

It was good. Uneventful, for the most part.

27. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a pilot, to fly among the stars.

28. When and with whom was your first kiss?

My friend MossFur Caonach, when we were both about 14 Bastet years old.

29. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?

That is none of your business. Though, no, I am not.

30. Do you have a notorious or celebrated ancestor? Does that affect you?

My grandfather was leader of our clan during a prosperous time, before he died of a sickness not unlike pneumonia.

Influences

31. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Either graduating from University, or coming to Terra.

32. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Either building my ship, the Sihanouk, or developing a tree that thrives in almost any atmosphere and planetary condition (however, it is non-invasive) that absorbs large amounts of harmful radiation from the surrounding environment, and uses it for energy.

33. What is your greatest regret?

Leaving my brothers and sister back on Bastet when I came to Terra.

34. What is the most embarrassing or shameful thing ever to happen to you?

Not knowing anything about Terran customs or anything like that when I first came here.

35. Do you have any secrets? If so, what are they?
If I told you, they wouldn't be secrets!!

36. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

I occasionally work as a smuggler for black market or contraband goods.

37. When was the time you were the most frightened?

When my ship's life support suffered a catastrophic failure, and I was a LONG way from any friendly stations, systems, or wormholes. Thankfully, my distress signal was picked up by a nearby Linyaari ship.

38. Have you ever traveled outside of your country? If so, to where?

Outside my country? Try halfway across the galaxy.

39. What is your alignment?

I am the fourteenth messenger of the 168th cycle of the Shield.

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?

I am a realist.

41. Do you believe in a god? If so, which one and why?

My culture is polytheistic, however, that is a discussion for another time.

42. Do you believe in an afterlife?

My culture does not have an afterlife.

43. What is your greatest fear?

Another failure on my ship, but not being saved by anyone.

Destruction of a planet's ecosystems by its inhabitants makes me both sad and angry. I am happiest when I am flying my ship, when I am cooking, or when I am working in my greenhouse.

Depends on the species. Linyaari are obnoxiously good, while the Khleevi are the physical manifestation of evil.

46. What are your views on politics? Religion? Sex?

Terran politics give me a headache. Terran religion is odd, and restricting. As for sex...my people are a lot more open about it than yours.

47. What are your views on gambling, lying, theft, and killing?

Gambling is neither good nor evil, lying is occasionally necessary, theft is a way of life for some, and killing is necessary if it is for sustenance or self-defense.

*laughs* Money is good, though you furs value it far more than my people do. Bastet uses more of a bartering system.

50. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?

Rape, unnecessary/willful killing, destroying Terra's ecosystems and climate.

Yes.

Yes.

Most pilots are.

I respect them, unless someone is trying to force their opinions and beliefs on me.

I guess I relate well to members of my own race, and the class distinction is not a big deal on Bastet. However, I prefer being around males more than females.

Yes, I have. And it is none of your business.

A sense of humor, the ability to just have fun, but they need to be able to be serious when the need arises. They need to be honest.

I am very close to my siblings, not so much with my parents.

It depends on the conflict.

Personal Taste and Opinions

My favorite pastimes are cooking and spending time in my greenhouses. My favorite color is anywhere between blue and green. Favorite Terran food is probably...anything Asian. It is very similar to the food I grew up with. My favorite possession is either my lightsaber (a story for another time) or my ship.

78. What are your preferences in arts and/or entertainment?

I honestly have no idea. *laughs* I do like "sci-fi" movies and shows, and Doctor Who.

79. Do you smoke, drink, go whoring, or use drugs? Why or why not?.

I enjoy cigarettes, and the occasional bit of marijuana. Bastets are very tolerant to alcohol, however, we do have a drink with dinner, much like Germans.

Cooking for friends, going to the movies or to clubs/parties, or working on my ship.

81. What is your most cherished fantasy?

*shrugs* That through my research I develop a plant that contains the cure for cancer.

It varies!

Yes, I do. And I find lots of things funny!

What shocks me is how people can willfully destroy their environment without feeling guilty.

I meditate, practice my lightsaber forms, spend time in my greenhouses or on my ship, or hang with friends.

I am rather athletic, and yes, I am very artistic!

I am determined, faithful, and trustworthy. My weaknesses are I am indecisive at times, have a tendency to procrastinate, and am extremely unorganized.

Hmmm....I would become more musically talented. I would love to be able to play the guitar.

It depends on who I am with.
