Meet Cayenne, the Twitch streamer?
General | Posted 4 years agoWell hello there! I can't forget to post my usual many-year in the making FA Journal!
Well, first and foremost. I've finally decided that it's time that I change my name to something better than the scrabble smoothie that is Xiath. I considered a few options and Cayenne is what finally stuck. So, yeah, I no longer go by Xiath anymore. My fursona name and online identity is now Cayenne. I am still a Coyote/Fennec fox hybrid though!
As you can imagine, a lot has happened since the last time I posted a Journal. For one, I got married to the best man in the entire world! Rainstar9805! (I can't remember how to use FA's page link atm. I'll edit this journal later)
On our 7 year anniversary of being together we finally made the next step in getting married. Which means nothing has really changed except in the realm of the legal.
Earlier this year, I finally bit the bullet and got myself a Valve Index VR setup. The rest is history. I've been practically living in VRChat. I've met just so many amazing people in the furry community this way. I've even learned some basic 3D modelling and how to re-texture a base model myself!
The biggest news is that I am back to creating content and being an entertainer for the furry fandom! As of a month ago I started doing VRChat streams every Thursday and Sunday evening. In that months time I've been so lucky to have managed to already meet 3 of the 4 requirements to become a Twitch Affiliate! As of the time of this writing, I only need 9 more followers and I'll reach Affiliate! I still can't believe that I would ever do Twitch streaming, especially not have any success at it. 3 year update.
General | Posted 8 years agoSo, it's been 3 years since my last journal. A lot has changed since then. But I am, indeed, still alive.
As of this February I moved from Arizona to the East Coast to live with my boyfriend! aka Rainstar the Cheetah. We have been together for 3 years now and we are still going strong. It has been quite a change for me living on the other side of the country though that's for sure.
I left my career as an audio engineer / technical director so that I could move out here and am now working as an apartment groundskeeper for the time until I can get ready to apply to the same department as Rain.
Over the last 3 or so years I have definitely been going through the "I no longer want to associate with furries" phase. But recently I've been starting to come around. I haven't contributed to the community in many years, but I would like to eventually start contributing again. But I wouldn't want to do a podcast again. I honestly wish I was good at art / had the motivation to start drawing well because I have always found that the art made in this community is the core of the community. I don't know, maybe I'll try my hand at drawing again.
I know this is a very scatter brained journal but I was watching Uncle Kage's most recent wine stream and it really made me miss the good ole days of being involved in a very tiny part of the community and the community as a whole.
So, since this is a journal of reflection over the last few years, I ask you this: what's new with you?

General | Posted 11 years agoSo... Yeah. I've been kinda sparse haven't I? I mean my last journal was a year ago for crying out loud! Well, I guess I might as well write one for old times sake.
Lots has happened and changed since I've last shown my face around here. I have a job now doing tech. My relationship with my girlfriend ended after just 3 months. I've since seen Jimmy eat world, New Found Glory with H20 and Alkaline trio, and on st, Patty's day saw Flogging Molly finally. I've found a love of craft beers and recently found a absolute love of single malt scotch. I've started smoking tobacco pipes (like a sir). I went to VidCon last year. And the most recent and best news of all. I asked my best friend of 5 years, Rainstar, to be my mate.
Yep, that's right. That silly Cheetah who was my co-host and a self proclaimed "straight as an arrow" heterosexual has become my mate. Honestly, It's been a long time coming and we've found ourselves single at the same time and decided to just give it a go. The last month or two that we've been together has been amazing to say the least. And it looks like before the end of 2014 we will finally be able to meet face to face! Oh the chaos we will cause.
So, Yeah. That's what's new with me. I'm sorry I've disappeared. I've just not had much interest in participating in the furry fandom lately to be honest. Been to busy with that stupid thing called real life. I'll probably still continue to be sparse, but I am still around just to casually lurk.
