Quick little update with a small change of plans!

Since my warm-ups took me so long to complete and because my time is limited this year,
I will be doing Patreon and Ko-Fi passes entirely offstream.
This is to ensure that freebies get more of a chance for art.

Rules + General
• Freebie Requests can only be made during the stream through Picarto's raffle system.
• Only one raffled freebie per person. There are other methods of obtaining more.
• Headshots only; I can draw humanoids, ferals and some types of anthros.
• To make a request, you must wait until you see a raffle appear in the chat. You have to click to enter; after a certain time has passed, the raffle will roll and a winner will be picked. You have to reenter each time a new raffle begins.
• When sending your character references keep in mind:
SFW references ONLY
• No written descriptions, references MUST be visual; even cobbling together pictures from google works.
• Make sure when you enter the raffle to have your reference on hand. I would like to get to as many people as possible and don't have the time to wait for you to grab your reference. If five minutes pass and I do not receive a reference, I will roll the raffle again.

• In an attempt to get more freebies to people, I will be alternating between them and Patreon/Ko-Fi Passes.
• Just a heads up: I've been super slow at drawing over the past year, so please be patient with me as I may only be able to complete a handful during the steam.

Ko-Fi Pass

• If you want to avoid the randomness of the raffle and guarantee you get a spot, then check out Ko-Fi!
• For 5 coffees ($5) you get one additional request, for a total of two drawings.
• When donating, make sure to write your username and send the character reference in your donation so I know who I'm drawing and who it's for! Do not send them via whispers in Picarto, I will lose them.
• Any donated requests left unfinished by the time the stream ends will be completed off-stream. Please include a way I can contact you to give you the finished image should this happen.
Any donations received after the stream ends will be considered a tip.

• You can only get one extra artwork this way, any more donations will be considered as tips.

Heya everyone!
Been a little bit, huh? A lot has happened it seems in my absence-
been meaning to write this journal for a bit but have had no time since I'm currently raising a puppy.

-= Hiatus Continues =-
I'm still on my posting hiatus. I haven't had the time to draw for almost a month so I literally have nothing to show for it.
Not only that, but because of IRL factors (aside from the dog) I'm not disclosing, it's prevented me from getting my work done... and my growing to-do list has been a huge stressor for me as of late. Commissions are also closed until further notice, however I am still accepting inquiries and offering quotes if you'd like to shoot me an email at [xredmooncomics@gmail.com]. That said, I'm not sure when I'll be back to publicly posting, but it'll likely be after this list is whittled down. Which leads me to my next point!

-= Patreon Changes =-
My current patrons have already seen this but as of the end of this year and come 2023, I will be getting rid of the Art Reward Tiers (20$, 35$ & 50$) from my Patreon. While I appreciate everyone who has been apart of these tiers so far, I have been struggling to keep up with them.. so for the sake of my mental health, they're going away!
Replacing them will be a new 10$ tier that offers a sticker that's shipped to each patron monthly.
(These stickers are not Patreon exclusive as I have plans to sell them locally; think of it as early access to merch)
By doing this, I can both have more time to work on other things, namely comics, as well as focus my efforts from Patreon rewards into proper commissions.
Comics are my true passion and I am creating the time for myself to create them again- my patreon overhaul is meant to provide early access and behind the scenes content to them <3
More details will be coming as I know them and figure things out!

Hey guys! I just got back from vacation and am only now having the time to write this journal.

-=Posting/Hiatus=-
I'm going to be going on a posting hiatus for an unknown length of time- you've probably already noticed it tbh.
I have been in a funky mental state for a while and need to take a step back. I've got a long list of stuff to do and scheduling uploads takes forever... not to mention that I'm currently in the process of moving all my stuff to other sites (see below) and reworking things from the ground up and that takes
a lot of time and stress too. Figuring out new platforms and the like is going to take me a while but I would like some time to build up a backlog
without the stress of having to post frequently. There may be one post in October advertising a YCH I'm considering to continue, but that will be all.
I just want to draw without the pressure of posting for a while.
I will still be posting to my Patreon and Discord as I have been, but the pieces won't be shared publicly for a while.
I AM MOST ACTIVE IN DISCORD! It is accessible through my Patreon.

I am deactivating my DeviantArt account of seven years on Oct. 1st.
I have already announced it over there about a week ago, but with the direction the devs are deciding to take the site despite the widespread outcries against it. I used to say if I ever had to leave DA for any reason, I'd leave my stuff up but the circumstances have changed and with the newest announcement that DA is officially supporting NFTs, I want nothing to do with it and do not feel safe leaving my work up unattended. I want out sooner, but I'm going to keep my word and wait until the day I've given for people to do the switch.

hey there guys! long time no see <3
it's been a while and i suppose i owe some life updates.

last time i typed up a journal i mentioned that my new laptop had been causing me issues and finally dying at the end of may.
because i wasn't able to work as an artist with a broken computer, i needed to get a job to afford a new new laptop, which i was able to finally replace after 8 months of being out of work. thankfully i've had no issues with this one at all and it's going smoothly! the job went well until it didnt and i had to leave, not only because of bad working conditions, but because of the rising gas prices as i was only making enough to pay back the gas it took to drive there.

all that said, i am now back to being a fulltime artist with commissions and patreon being my sole source of income.

Hey there everyone!
Sorry for the lack of content in the past months. I'm still dealing with that shit with my work computer.
Wanted to make a small announcement that I'll be mass posting my small backlog (two trades and february patron rewards) since I have to send the computer back in again and don't want to lose the work I made in scheduling the posts.

TLDR; I bought this "new" laptop in September and it's been one thing after the other. The biggest thing being my work drive disappearing incessantly. I've been pushing for a refund and telling them that there's something wrong with the connector in the computer. They ignore me at every turn and have insisted that it's a faulty drive, and THREE replacements later the issue persists. I'm going to continue to push for this refund I don't want this piece of trash back and I can't afford a new computer without it.

Because of this, I've been out of work for the betterment of six months and this is solely the reason why I haven't been able to open commissions. I've been behind on my to-do list. I went and got a "real job" because of this too; I'm currently working part-time as a kennel assistant at a boarding place for dogs.

Hope everyone is doing well.
I'm here with an update regarding my last journal entry and a little more~

Computer Update
As of a few days ago (at the time of writing this journal) I received an email that my computer will be back to me on the 15th of Dec.
Fingers crossed that everything is working out fine now and that they fixed the issue at hand, but I will keep everyone updated as I know more.
This means, that hopefully soon I'll be able to continue work and finish up all my owed art. Thank you to everyone who's patiently waiting on me, I appreciate it greatly.

If all goes according to plan and my laptop is actually functional, I will be focusing my efforts on finishing a christmas card first and foremost.

Commissions + Job
Next point!
I got a part time job while waiting on this computer fiasco.
I started a few days ago and it's going really well so far. That said, my work schedule when it comes to drawing will be changing and this regards commissions as well. Commissions are closed at least until the new year and after I finish my current queue. Until I get a decent idea of what my job schedule will be like and get into the flow of things with it, I'll be changing up my commission openings to reflect that.

Summary of Art
I have been working on my summary of art for 2021,
and I have noticed I hardly drew anything for myself this year besides sketches which is making it hard to find things to put into the template.
Hoping next year to be able to draw more non-commission related material especially considering I want to work on and maybe finish Of Rain and Snow two more pages are available right now on patreon for the 5$ tier and above.
Expect to see my summary on the 1st at midnight EST

New Years Request Stream
New Years is just around the corner,
and that means my yearly request stream is coming up soon! (As long as I have a functioning computer haha)
I don't have a solid date or time just yet until I get my work schedule, but keep an eye out for more details!

There's been quite a lot going on behind the scenes which explains why I haven't been able to post much artwork in the recent months.
It all started when my laptop's keyboard decided it wasn't going to function anymore which led to me purchasing a new laptop in October.
The entire process behind this new laptop has been incredibly exhausting, from getting lost in the mail to where I stand with it today.
I finally was able to acquire this laptop, but since setting it up at the beginning of this month, I have experienced issue after issue with it: the primary thing being the constant loss of my second drive (the one i use to store everything on). I haven't been able to draw because the drive will just up and disappear in the middle of working and I wouldn't be able to save my progress. This has absolutely killed my motivation to work on anything, since I would just lose everything I'd make up to that point.

After much trial and error and doing everything we (my brother, who is a computer engineer, and myself) could do to fix it, it finally decided to just give up and the drive is just gone gone. It won't come back using the process we had been using for the past month anymore.
I am actively trying to return it and requesting a replacement because it's had these issues since the beginning..but due to the timing with the holidays, I don't know how long that will take.

Needless to say, normal commissions will not be opening again until I can get a decent working computer and until I finish my current batch.
It stresses me to no end when I have a growing queue and can't do anything about it, so I apologize if you were looking at getting something from me soon. I'm doing the best I can for the time being.

TLDR: Brand NEW computer is busted. Because of such, motivation is non existant; looking to get a replacement ASAP.
