We're so back
Posted a month agoIt's been a flurry of activity on my end!
I have it from the doctor that the fracture in my hand is healed, and I can do as I wish. I can return to the gym in earnest, and normality in general, which makes me happy.
I've also been promoted in my workplace, (somehow), for which I am thankful. There's been other positive developments, such as my partner also getting promoted in his own workplace, among other things.
I wanted to write this to put behind me that other journal entry about the injury itself.

Life Update
Posted 3 months agoI don't usually do these, but the current situation called for it.
I've suffered a not insignificant injury to my non-dominant (non-drawing) hand. Not being the fastest artist, this will likely slow me down even more.
I will try to shoulder on, even in my functionally one-armed state for now.
I wanted to share here, rather than on social media.
Thanks to those that follow me, appreciate you ✌️
Update 6/6/25: Set for surgery next week
Update 6/11/25: Just had surgery
Update 6/25/25: Surgical dressings finally off. Referred to phys therapy, so the road to recovery begins. I've been told to use my left hand as normal despite the difficulty.

Unable to Draw, Malfunctioning Tablet
Posted 9 months agoPen tablet started malfunctioning on 11/16. Ordered two (2) new ones, because I'm paranoid I'll get one (1) and still have issues with it. I'm unable to draw until they arrive, supposedly by this weekend, which makes me antsy and puts me in a kind of black mood.
I suppose I technically could draw, since the tablet does somewhat work, but at the cost of becoming angered whenever the tablet stops registering the paired pen, with the result of missed strokes. But this doesn't sound worth the effort and frustration. I can't wait for the tablets to arrive so I can resume.

New Job
Posted 2 years agoPut in my two-weeks notice today at my current position, and will be beginning a new one in a bit over two weeks time (surprise). It's way too early to see how this will have an impact on me in terms of drawing and uploading stuff (not as though it was stellar to begin with), but I'll hold off on speculating until the change actually occurs.
Switch from (formerly) Twitter to BlueSky
Posted 2 years agoBeen thinking maybe it's worth the try to make the exodus from Twitter ("X") to BlueSky, seeing as all the furry artists seem to be migrating there. I wouldn't stop posting on Twitter until it became unusable, but I do like keeping up with various furry artists that I follow and seeing their art and porn. Sadly, BlueSky's invite system is one I am not a fan of. I doubt joining the waitlist will lead to anything, but did it anyways.
