He's working at Sam Rayburn which is notorious for no cell phone signal and I don't even know if he'll have internet. I suppose he'll be able to call from a land line.

General | Posted 15 years agoI spent two years mooching off of Kody. He doesn't call it mooching, but that's what it was. I wasn't working and he was supporting me, and buying me things I wanted. It's not that I wanted a free ride, I just didn't want to work at the time. I know that doesn't make it sound any better but I had my reasons.
Well, I have a job now, and Kody hasn't worked for like a month. He's still employed, but his job hasn't been able to find steady work, so he's been home for almost a month, not working at all. It's putting a strain on us financially and my entire paychecks have been going to rent, bills, etc whereas before only a portion of it was going towards expenses and the rest I was able to freely spend. Not to mention my boss has been working me like five or six days in a row and that is also draining. I don't know how much more I can take of working myself to the bone and having little to nothing to show for it.
I suppose I do deserve this, though. :\

And then she calls this morning and says she isn't coming. :< And Kody and I are broke and have nothing to do all day...

General | Posted 15 years agoOkay, so I woke up around 5am this morning, but before that I was having a weird dream... in which I was in some small airport, I have no idea why or where I was going, but I was by myself. I was standing in one of those partitioned lines, I guess waiting to check my luggage or something (though I don't remember actually having any), when these people walk over to me and just start talking to me.
One was a guy in his thirties or so, who kind of looked like a cowboy, and the other was a woman in her sixties or seventies. They said that someone had told them that I was a furry and initially I was shocked that they even knew what a furry was, as they didn't seem like the sort of people that would understand that sort of thing. I got this kind of vibe from them that they were a couple o.O and they also never told me who had told them I was furry.
Apparently they were from Montana which would explain the cowboy garb. The man's fursona was a puma and the woman's fursona, oddly enough, was a polar bear. o_O
Anyway, the woman asked me what my fursona was and when I said lioness she acted like she didn't understand or couldn't hear me. So I repeated it louder and louder until I was nearly shouting, which was sort of awkward and embarassing. Finally she appeared to hear me but still seemed confused, so I said "it's a female lion" and that's when I woke up.
So... yeah. Odd dream. :I

She used to be on FluffMUCK and for the life of me I can't remember who she is. Arggg. I'm just trying to figure out if she's still around.

General | Posted 15 years agoI was driving to work this morning to pick up the dogs from boarding (side story: we went out of town over the weekend). I was about a mile from the merge of I-10 and 69 and -already- going 5 mph over the speed limit (I dare not go more than that... the cops here are dicks; more about that later). That's when I look up in my rear view mirror to see a huge jacked up truck hauling ASS up to me. So I'm like okay...expecting them to pass.
He gets up nearly to my BUMPER and instead of getting over like I expected him to do, he turns on his high beams and just leaves them on while riding bumper to bumper with me.
All the while he had a whole other lane to pass me in, but he was trying to intimidate me out of the "fast lane" (that I was already speeding in). Instead of getting over like most people would have done I turned on my cruise control, flipped my mirror up so his lights weren't blinding, and just sat there.
I could just see the frustration in his face behind me. >:D
Eventually he passed me... haha... with his engine blazing and everything. Then he flipped me off. I just laughed.
Then, on the way home, some undercover cop starts riding my ass. Now I KNEW he was a cop because I know what the undercover cop cars around here look like and I could also see his uniform and equipment. Instead of getting out of his way I did the same as I did earlier...I just stayed where I was. Now, don't get me wrong... I'm no cop hater. I just don't think they should be dicks. If they REALLY need past me that bad, they can turn on their LIGHTS. Simple as that.
Eventually the car in the lane next to me slows down and he WHIPS OVER next to me. Immediately after he does so, he sounds his siren at me...and gave me a dirty look before zooming off wildly. Even though I was going exactly the speed limit.

I didn't have enough time to dodge, and I hit it. Yup...it was roadkill. I think it was a dog but it was so effed up I couldn't tell. :x

General | Posted 15 years agoTo be honest I've lost a lot of interest in vampires ever since the Twilight saga started becoming so goddamn popular. I like my vampires to, you know, kill things and sleep in coffins during the day, not emo-trip about some human girl and sparkle.
So anyway Kody and I were at our friends Kevin and Stacy's house yesterday and we started watching this vampire movie, Daybreakers. I knew it wasn't going to be like Twilight but to be honest I didn't have high expectations for it. I thought it was just going to be another pumped out vampire movie and even though I was expecting death/gore I wasn't that excited about it as vampires have been burnt out for me (no pun intended), thanks to Twilight. But let me tell you--this movie was PLEASANTLY refreshing/surprising.
The premise of the film is that vampires have taken over the world and humans are nearly extinct. The ones that remain are being harvested for their blood and obviously the supply is fleeting. The vampires who are not rich enough to afford buying blood start to get desperate and begin feeding off of themselves or other vampires, which poisons them and turns them into mindless demon-like creatures.
The main character is looking for a replacement for human blood as he is sympathetic to humans. His research is failing and as he is not drinking human blood he is becoming afflicted with the symptoms the other blood-deprived vampires are exhibiting. (Which begins with pointed elf-like ears.)
As he's driving home one night he runs into a small band of humans who are running from the police. He helps them by hiding them in his car until the police pass. As the humans are in his car, a woman looks over his things and figures out who he is and what he does.
So they randomly pop into his home one night and ask them for his help and he agrees.
He ends up meeting this one guy who used to be vampire but is now human. I won't give away how he became mortal again but the movie really picks up from there--everything after that point is non-stop action and there are lots of plot twists and surprises.
I'm no good at explaining movie plots but I don't think that the reviews given to this movie were fair. People obviously don't know quality when they see it. It's an excellent movie and I would even dare to say that it's now replaced my long time favorite of Interview with the Vampire as my favorite vampire movie. And here's a plus: it's not Twilight.

General | Posted 15 years agoFor the past 2-3 days my dogs have been having diarrhea in their crates overnight or when we leave for work. This has never happened before now.
I gave them Immodium last night. Emily did not mess in her crate overnight but I woke up to that horrid stench to find that Blaze had shit all over her kennel... again.
If this doesn't clear up by Friday I'm taking them to the vet. :(

General | Posted 15 years agoSometimes I hate when people say I'm sweet/nice... I know it's usually a compliment but because of my usual disposition people kind of consider me a pushover and take advantage of my kindness. Sometimes I really wish I could just unleash the hatred.
I know that sounds weird.
Then again, people don't want to see me when I'm pissed. It's rare but it usually involves me throwing things that should not be thrown, usually at the offending person.
