I lost my internet for a very long while and couldn't upload any of the things i had finished so that was kkind of annoying.
On the bright side though, I'm sort of bakc in the mood for drawing thngs!

On the downside, i'm not reopening commissions for a very long time, perhaps even indefinitely. I just don't find myself enjoying them very much anymore. Like i enjoy drawing them, but... i don't know. here's some stress factor to it that my brain is making up.

So in light of that, I will instead be doing Adoptions and YCHs. Hell, you might even see some adult YCHs if i'm in the mood (i actually have one laying around that i might spruce up and auction off.)

So here's where i need some opinions on YCHs and adoptions. What would you recommend for starting bids, auto buys, etc.
I'm not really doing this for lively hood, jsut to make some extra cash so it doesn't need to be anything really high priced i don't think.

And uh... i dunno. I guess for adoptables i just gotta get it figured out. I was thinking giving the .psd of a front/back ref with a closeup on any details and a headshot. i'm probably going to have those anywhere from $6-$15 i think

I'm going to upload some of the things i've drawn as well as the finished commissions hoer the next howeverlong the wait is between uploads.

Oh, and i've also gone through a style change of sorts. I'm mostly going to do colored clean sketches (you'll see in some uploads) ather than line art. It's funner, faster, and i get in more detail. Plus I've taken a turn for the dark side so cutesey stuff is going to be more uncommon.

AND, I am on my backup laptop. Have been for a few months now. I'm suspecting the network adapter in my other laptop is broken becaus eit disconnects form the internet ever 15~45 minutes and i have to restart the entire computer. I've run virus scans, malware scans, you name it, i've run it, and it's found nothing. So i'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue. So i have to have that guy fixed. Which also makes it a pain in the ass to play games because the back up is NOT a gaming computer. It can't even run vanilla minecraft properly on the lowest setting possible.



But yeah, it's good to be back.

Our lease is running out here, so it's been a mad dash to try an find somewhere to live that won't break the bank.

So far the only place that will accept us, despite the bad credit, wants 700/m. Honestly we wanted to stay in low 600s so we'd have some food money at the end of the month. With the 700 we'd only have about.... maybe... $100 give or take?

So that's kinda of tight... but the only option we have right now. Were still looking for somewhere cheaper though, because the only way we'd make the 700 is if mom keeps her second job, but she doesn't need to keep working like that and we only have one car.

I have been upset by recent events, as well as past events, where the government and justice systems have proved to be god awful and basically worthless. I have also been inspired by Hunger Games, No. 6, and a comic known as FishEye Placebo by Yuumei.

This(these) new character(s) will draw their designs from Fisheye in which the rebels (at least the ones i've seen) wear bright, vibrant colors (pink, green, purple, yellow, etc). But the corrupted government will be closer to No.6, but not exactly.

Everyone knows what the issue is in HG.

In Fisheye placebo, the government doesn't kill anyone (well, they killed the rebels when they first rebelled, but there's no games or anything) but everything is locked or blocked and monitored. The average person can't do anything without them knowing and any kind of recording device is illegal. However, there are Hackers who cna get around these block, get into the system, everything. That's essentially what the rebels are doing, destroying the system from the inside since and outward attack didn't work.

And in No. 6, the government plays like it wants to create and maintain a utopian society when in fact they're trying to harness the power of a god and use either normal citizens that are deemed 'disturbers of the peace' or people who live in the slums outside of the walls to see if they're a compatible vessel. If they're not, well, it doesn't matter because their records of ever existing are wiped from the system and if you try to find them then you'll be a D.O.P as well.


ANYWAY

The character(s) I'm going to make live in a society very similar to No. 6. But instead of trying to harness a god, they have something more practical in mind; humanoid weapons. They want to create a mobile weapon that is near invulnerable and does not require maintenance of any kind.

So how do they get the test subjects for this? Well orphans of course, usually from the slums. they decided that the younger they cna start 'molding' these weapons, the better the result. Most of them die, some survive but then go insane, even less survive but then are later incompatible, and a very very small sliver of them actually are successes.

The first character i made is an escapee. They got him when he was young, promised him food, shelter, water, stuff like that if he helped them with an experiment. And I mean what young child living in the slums with no family will say no?

so he got food and shelter, but also tortured with experiments . He was compatible with basically everything and highly resilient. They even tested to see if he could survive losing an arm, they replaced it with prosthetic though. they were almost done testing when he managed to escape, which is pretty easy when you're fast enough to dodge bullets and if they do hit it doesn't really hurt much.

turns out there was already a group who knew about what was going on in the facility, but they had no proof and lo n' behold, here's some walking proof. So they invited him in, checked for any tracking chops aannd then quickly found out his mood was highly unstable.

more stuff happens that i don't wanna type cause this is already long enough, but he managed to get himself back together, but he's not one to talk and he usually wears a mask (makes him feel better, like that piece of clothing/jewelry you can't leave the house without) so you can't see his mouth either. Most of his communication is sounds or gestures. In all honestly he doesn't have many opinions on things, and most questions he's willing to answer can be done so with a shake/nod of the head or a hand gesture so yeah. Basically just tell him what to do and he does it, end of story.

He's very good on a skateboard and his favorite weapon is smoke bombs/tear gas combined with punching the shit outta people with his metal hand.

He also installed a light in that hand that leaves a trail as he moves. So authorities know him as 'Light Trail'

Alright, I finally got a little time to work on them (mostly today and tomorrow) so that's what I'm going to be doing!

My computer is still in the shop, so 'm still struggling on this little one.... it really sucks tha ti have to restart my tablet driver EVERY TIME I WANT TO USE M TABLET.

Also the mouse and keyboard are jsut god awful n this thing. Half the tiem they're too sensitive and the other times they won't respond.
not to mention if i have more than three programs open, everything locks up for about 2 minutes. :D
