My FA is collecting dust
Posted 3 years agoI'm mostly active on twitter these days, Blue_Dingolf
I mostly use FA now to archive commissions and drawings, and I've actually been drawing more, but I haven't bothered uploading anything here, but I'll probably do that at some point, they're mostly doodles any way
Are people still active on here outside of doing the same thing I do? Using it as a place to dump artwork and not much else?
I'll be honest, tho. I was hoping places like furry network, or something would pop up that's not only better than fur affinity, but something that's not tainted by dragoneer and his goons, this site fell off for a good reason, but I'd still like to have a place people use where I can archive my commissions and projects, that's not FA
Maybe something will pop on some day that people use, or twitter dies. Although I'd still rather be there than here, it feels like a ghost town in here, most activity just feels like echos of what's going on outside of the website, so it's been relegated to nothing more than an archive (handy for content creators, but if you're just here to fap or appreciate art, e621 is a better option, lets be real)
I'll be shocked if anyone even sees or replies to this

Been thinking
Posted 8 years agoSo, I was considering re centering my focus on weasyl and furry network especially when it comes to uploads, in part to encourage people to use those sites more, not that I'm any sort of influence, but to kinda step away from FA. I'll still lurk and seek out commissions here, but when it comes to uploads, I was considering only giving sneak peeks as I start to draw again more and do more 3d modelling, and have links for FN and weasyl to see the full versions.
I just like those sites better for numerous reasons and honestly kinda wish FA would just die or actually feel modern and be ran better. Plus this place is starting to stink of antifa and radical leftism and I feel Dragoneer and his goons are very on board with that and some anti white sentiment and direct harassment towards me that they told me didn't violate any rules. THAT really got me to start thinking about this subject again after, it's something I've been considering for awhile.
Plus, I can't rebrand myself here without making a new page, and my lack of activity has caused me to lose a lot of interest in my FA any way, I feel like a smaller but growing platform will help motivate me more.
TL;DR
I will still be here, but I'm considering only using this site as a means to promote my uploads elsewhere via preview and source links.
If anyone reads this, I'd like to know your thoughts. Or if you have suggestions.

The steven universe fan base....
Posted 9 years agoSo, I regularly go to this site http://theworldofstevenuniverse.blo.....2-english.html to check for updates on the show and to watch the episodes, it's great site.
But today when I tried, mozilla had the site blocked as a "forgery/malicious site"....
So the best conclusion I can come to, is that for some reason, the rabid, cancerous fan base that tried made an artist attempt suicide because she fucking drew Rose Quarts a bit too thin, must have banded together, abusing mozilla's site report system to bring the site down on that browser. I assure you, it's a perfectly safe site! I've never had issues with it, so I reported that the report was false, if others use this site and know like me it's FINE, I suggest you do the same to help counteract this bull shit.
I swear, the Steven universe fan base is the worst fan base on the internet. I just want to watch a show about gay space rocks, but no, the sjw fan base has to ruin everything. >_>
I mean I could be wrong, but I can't seem to dig up any info as to why this is happening, could just be an error as it's happening on chrome too I read. But it seems weird that the error would happen the same way on both Chrome and Mozilla at the same time. It's not like a problem loading the page, it's literally just the browsers telling you the site is a forgery and unsafe. like, wtf...

Welp, Warner bros. fucked over pc gamers yet again
Posted 9 years agoMy list of the top 5 most underrated games of 2015
Posted 9 years agoKeep in mind, I'm primarily a pc, wii u and more recently a 3ds player, so my list will be limited to mostly pc, and this is just a list of games I've had time with and felt didn't get the attention they deserved.
5: Trove
This is a mine craft inspired mmorpg with pretty simplistic yet fun game play. I'm not gonna lie, the game is pretty simplistic, honestly I think the game could do great on tablets and even some phones too, but I had more fun with this free to play mmorpg than I would have imagined. You may find yourself spending more time making your mobile fort than you do actually playing the game, I made myself a giant tree house with the inside hollowed out. I'll have to revisit this cute and fun and simple game some time.
4: Freestyle 2 street basketball
I am not at all interested in sports games, it's by far my least feast genre. That being said, this game is fun, it's really fun. It's easy for any one to pick up, but man o man is mastering it a fun and rewarding challenge. It's half court online freestyle basketball, it's free to play, and has a cartoon aesthetic with tons of character customization. I would like to try to play this more, if any one is interested hit me up.
3: Nosgoth
Yeah another free to play online competitive game, I tend to like those. This game was played by angry joe and yet it has an even smaller average play rate than freestyle 2, having trouble keeping it's head above the water of 1k players per day. This game is really good, the standard play mode is where one team is vampire hunters and the other is vampires and in my opinion, both are super fun to play but you will have a preference, I prefer hunters. That being said, the games work in 2 rounds, once the first round is over, it tallies the kills, then the teams switch from hunter to vampire and vice versa, then the total kills are tallied to determine a winner after the second round. This game requires a lot of team work and skill and the mechanics are just awesome, some of these best platforming mechanics I've seen in a long time for the vampires. If you like 3rd person shooters with a nice twist and vampires, or the legacy of kain universe in general, I highly recommend this, another game I'd like to get people together and play. HIT ME UP for steam if you're interested.
2:Block n load
So you take team fortress 2, mix it together with mine craft, and you get one seriously fun and strategic first person team shooter. It just recently went free to play, and I'd love to get teams together for this, it's one of my favorite games from 2015. You pick your character, you choose their block loadout, and each have unique abilities, a unique block and class loadout blocks (support, assassin, bruiser). The game starts by giving both teams 5 minutes to set up, and there's a barrier stopping you from attacking until then. You use that time to build, building is based off of your loadout and you start with resources that the blocks use, you can get more by destroying parts of your base in large amounts since physics apply to your builds some what. The objective, destroy all of the enemy teams shield generators and protect yours, then destroy their base block after taking the shields out of commission. You can tunnel, build sky bridges, make traps with fake blocks, the game just has so much to offer and not nearly enough people know about it. Some of the most fun I've had with an online shooter all year.
1: Pillars of eternity
The all time peek for this game was 41k, pretty good, but I still think this game was seriously underrated, sure it doesn't have triple A title graphics, but god damn, it just tugs at my heart strings as a big baldurs gate fan. Sure the game has some minor issues to where character ai is a bit bad so it forces you to pause the game a lot and issue a command to al characters, otherwise they just stand there. That being said, once you get used to the difficulty. The game offers so much for what you pay for in terms of character building, customization, story, choices in dialogue. If you don't like the people you encounter through your adventure, make your own cohorts and build them how you want, they just wont have the personality the standard ones do. A fantastic single player experience I highly recommend if you're a fan of classic pc rgp's.
Maybe these games will fair better in 2016, I certainly hope to see them grow.
What were some games from 2015 you thought were underrated? I'd love to hear about them and maybe give them a play through if I haven't already.

Russian gamers.....
Posted 9 years agoYup, we're having THIS conversation. But before I start, I just want to point out I am NOT trying to offend anyone, but at the same time, as is obvious by my journals and some things I upload.
I am not an overly PC person, I wont spare your feelings if some bs needs to be called out, I will be polite but I feel nothing is above criticism.
But here's my question. After years of dealing with this issue, and talking to some Russians about it who are actually civil and polite (they do exist, trust me). Why is the Russian gaming community in all games so damn toxic? Even to each other, they're just so hostile and angry and quick to rage and call you or each other faggot or neegar and say things like cyka, geev me mana or I keel you.
Why is this such a common theme? They have their own servers and I've asked a few Russians why they choose UK and/or American servers, yet refuse to speak English and hate the people they play with? Often times I'm met with the answer, they can't stand their own community. Yet they don't behave differently at all, they're just as bad for the most part.
So I guess I'm just trying to gain some speculative insight as to why this might be and why aren't they getting banned for their poor behavior? It's especially bad in games like dota 2 and CS:GO, but I even get thrown in with them on GTAV on pc some times too and they're just awful, they ruin my fun every time, they plague other servers like fucking cancer and I wish they'd either fuck off or learn some manners or something.
Any thoughts?

Two back to back bad news stories with gaming
Posted 9 years agoBeasts fury is canceled and I'm sure you've all heard about the oculus rift basically requiring a high end rig and costing 600 dollars. Not the best start to 2016 as far as gaming goes, but hey, at least final fantasy IX remaster is coming to pc.
There's a new naruto mod on dota 2
Posted 9 years agoSo I used to play this game on war craft 3 called naruto wars unlimited, which is basically a naruto moba. Now the creators of that game have moved on to dota 2 for their mod. It's in beta so far but really fun and not very buggy at all.
If you like moba's and you like Naruto, hit me up in this journal and we can run some premade teams online.

Furries and shit posting
Posted 9 years agoSo outside of places like FA that enforce general rules on conduct (primary image boards such as u18chan and 8chan) furries tend to shit post, a lot. Just go to literally any thread on u18chan, read the comments, it's ridiculous. Not to mention the complaining and constant bickering about the dumbest shit you can possibly imagine.
So my question is, why is this a constant theme? When did the furry community devolve into this crap? I mean even FA has plenty of drama and seems to only be better by comparison not because people are better behaved here, but if they value not being banned, they behave. Or is it literally just because the places where I see it the most allow you to post completely anonymously?
I honestly can't figure out what draws out this mentality in furries or if most of the community are just awful people with no respect for any one or appreciation for anything. It's disgusting.
Not trying to sound jaded, but I see it every day.

Soliton
Posted 10 years agoSo, it's finally here (warhammer age of sigmar aka: 9th ed)
Posted 10 years agoSo I've been looking at the rules a bit and the dwarf codex, I was expecting the game to be a bit simpler, but this.... This seems even more simplistic than war machine.
My codex is summed up in 24 pages and the rules in something like 8. No more anvil of doom (although it sucked in 8th edition, was amazing in 7th), shooting range has been completely neutered, thunderers seem completely awful between their lack of range even compared to quarrelers and their terrible melee ability. Shield wall is okay, but it's just going to MAYBE delay the their impending doom. Sure they can shoot cc, but I don't see Dwarves shooting much, and without great weapons on quarrelers they're nothing more than fodder once they engage in melee, at least with great weapons then were heavily armored, deadly at ranged, and decently killy in melee, now every other ranged unit in the game can out range them, it's barely better than hand pistol range ffs..... The only thing going for both is the fact they hit and wound on a 3+ and can use shield wall, but it seems like a far cry from what quarrelers used to be capable of.
No more runes, their signature trait, stripped down to a few rune options on select models and one thane standard, some with as little as ONE rune option, so very bland, maybe not weaker per say with the overall scheme of things, but it just has so much less flavor.
I guess overall, my impressions of reading the codex and rule book are pretty MEH, to be quite frank, it just feels like the game is a shallow, watered down version of it's former self....
Any other fantasy warhammer players out there? Give me your opinions on this.
