Weel, finally back 'home' from FE, and by 'home' I mean at  Prplhaze and  babytiger's place for a visit for a couple days. Good way to ween one off a furry con and such. ^.^

Had a pretty awesome time. Got to meet a few new folks, visit with some old ones and all that, though I can't help but feel like I saw the majority of the con through my camera lens, given I took near 1500 photos over the course of the weekend. Now I just gotta sort through them all and get the best ones uploaded!

The Munchkin tournament went quite well with 15 participants, and some sweet promo prizes, two of which, the 'Good the Bad and the Muchkin' blank level up cards were greatly sweetened by the awesome  DarkNatasha and  MarciMcAdam who graciously and enthusiastically supplied some line art to the face of each for the sake of the tournament. I think Now that I have one under my belt I'll have to try again next year, I had lots of fun hosting it, despite being incredibly nervous.

I was able to hit a few panels that I wanted to see, missed a few others, but that's kind of the way thins go at a con lol. Thanks to everyone who took the time to hang out or talk with me over the weekend, you guys make it all worth it. ^.^

The Ontariofurs.com meet and greet and the Munchkin Tournament for sure, as I'll be hosting them. As for the rest, probably quite a few as I'm going to be one of the con photographers for FE2012.

Hmmm, not that I'm aware of. Didn't know FE had stage/public performances?

Nope, don't own ears and/or tail let alone a suit.

Nope, couldn't draw to save my life lol. Closest I can get is photography.

Pretty much everything hehe. Might be able to draw a pretty mean straight line.

Don't really have much to offer commission or trade wise. Might be able to do custom pin-back buttons in the near future but not before or during the con.

Figured I haven't posted anything on where things are with my new desktop. It's officially up and running save for the dialup modem installed. I'd be using it more of late but I've been given a month (till the 16th) of free unlimited broadband from my cell provider which I've been using on my laptop thanks to the wireless hotspot my cell is capable of creating. I really aught to find a way to get it set up with the wireless but I'll need a wifi adapter for that. So yeah, things are up and running albeit not perfect. I really do need a faster and bigger boot disc, but that can wait for now.

Also New computer update: It is assembled and running, just needing to get it to a source of broadband to get all my programs to get it ready for actual day to day use. ^.^

Well, I was able to get an old and slow spare system around here up and running in order to get at least back online, but it's only a 1.2ghz system and noticeably slower than my former slow 2ghz system.

On the up side, my friend TimothyFrisby has been generous enough to give/sell/etc me most of the parts i need to get something decent together. While it won't be state of the art, it'll be a HUGE leap in performance from my last system, so I'm quite thankful for that.

Hey folks. Just want to let everyone know that if I'm not online for awhile, it's because my desktop at home no longer wants to boot. I figure it's either my PSU or my Motherboard. The former might be fixable soon, but the latter might take more to get repaired if/when I can afford it. Also depends on what I can scavenge, but we'll see.

Well, I'm back from this year's MFM. Everything went fairly well and some fun was able to be had. Though every year by the end of the con I don't want to watch another movie again for quite some time thanks to video-overload (yay staffing the video room). Got to hang out with some old friends, didn't make many new friends this year, but that happens sometimes. Especially when you're busybusy. Anyhew, not quite as many or range of photos that I usually have, but there is only so much time in a con.

I don't normally make a point of posting a lot about my problems, but given some of the very positive responses I've received to posting elsewhere, and what an important part of my life this was, I felt it right to post here as well. Between 6:30 and 7PM today I eased the suffering of and said goodbye to one of the longest and dearest friends I've had over the last 17 years, spanning the majority of my life. After finally getting a straight opinion out of the vet, we decided to euthanize my cat since it had become clear all we were trying to save was a shell of what an amazing cat he once was who to my faulty memory, touched more lives than I remembered. He leaves behind a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, and yet, we would never want it to be. You will always be loved and greatly missed Bonzai.

Well, I'm back home from FurFright as of like 9:00 last night. It was such an amazing weekend. I got to see a few people I had not seen in a good three years or so, got to do a /real/ road trip with Prplhaze and BabyTiger, which was a treat in itself. I also got the chance to hang out with some new folks, and some folks I had been looking forward to knowing better. I'd try and list names, but I know I'm going to forget some. *sheepish smile*

Overall the con was quite amazing. Easily one of the best cons I've been to in the last year. The hotel was awesome, especially the fantastic saltwater pool. The layout was great and it just seemed to fit the hotel space really well. Probably spent a bit more than I should have, but it was all in the name of a good time, and some amazing art, namely by o-kemono whom was able to have a sketch ready for me to see before the end of the con, and I'm so very excited to see what the end result will be.

/anyway/ I'm still hazy from the con, trip and a late night getting my photos online which you can find at the link below.

Thanks to everyone who made the con so bloody amazing. I needed it so much!

Well I'm back from Condition, and it was a complete blast. I've never been good at the con-report thing but it was awesome seeing everyone again, especially my roommates Thadius, Becka and Terias. You guys rock, and helped make the con great for me, thank you!

There were a few rough spots it seemed, but the awesome Condition staff seemed to weather them without a lot of problem, or, at least they made it seem that way. I'm really looking forward to next year. I met so many new and awesome folks that I'm not sure where to begin, I'm sure I'll forget someone. Anyone I met or hung out with, ya know who you are. ^.^

OMG I Nearly forgot! Condition is in four days!

I was sitting here thinking about how the icon I had commissioned would look on the ultra cool acrylic con badges for Condition, when I remembered that Condition is during the first week of August, /then/ I realized it was /already/ August. I had /completely/ forgotten.

Gives a new meaning to "I wish it was con time nao." :D Looking forward to seeing folks there!
