Help Design My 2 Sonas
Posted 12 years agoUgh...damn...I wish I could draw. I have good ideas of what I want my 2 sonas to look like, but I can't draw it myself. I'd love to get some help. Any advice on who gives good, relatively cheap commissions and would be willing to help me design them? YapKat is already most of the way there, and I know Booger's color scheme and some key features.
And no, I don't want to commission people who look like they never learned to color in the lines. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I like quality art...don't you? I don't want to waste my hard earned money, yo!

My FurFright experience (DORSAI DAMAGE)
Posted 13 years agoI have to say, I had a spectacular time at FurFright this year, and last year. My friends made this great fun, and I met a bunch of new people who were really friendly and fun as well. I never go to panels, because they usually suck, and there's never anything new or exciting that grabs my attention. I really just go to socialize and sweat my ass off in my fursuit, like most others.
That being said, I was saddened and oddly amused by the Dorsai security's behavior. I had heard about, but not personally witnessed any incidents at Anthrocon the two years I went, but this Fur Fright I had seen enough, and heard even more. I SAW Dorsai staff harrassing Zero and Cray, and also was stopped while trying to enter JUST the hotel at around 12/1am. I'm sorry, but I don't need ID to enter the fucking hotel. I was trying to get into the lobby. Plus, I had on my art badges....SHOULDN'T THAT BE PROOF ENOUGH THAT I'M A PART OF THIS EVENT??
They need to get over themselves, and get some damn manners. This isn't Germany, and they aren't Nazis.
I hope the ones who keep having these power trips get banned from everything, never do security again, and are whipped like the bitches they are in their normal day-to-day lives.
That's all I'm going to say, because I did have a really great time, despite these issues....also, the people who had the real bad incidents are saying more than enough...Like Dragoneer. I feel so bad! Go check out his journal...It's awful that such excellent, and innocent people have to deal with such morons.

The REAL Post FAU5 Thoughts
Posted 13 years agoI had an amazing time at FAU5! I got to hang out with fantastic friends, and I met a bunch of new, awesome ppl as well!
There are too many ppl to list, and I also admittedly don't remember everyone's names.
Everyone loved the new Tilly fursuit, almost as much as I love her! I'll be uploading the few photos I got soon. I unfortunately didn't record ANYTHING. I was having too much fun to be bothered to hold my camcorder. DX THERE WILL BE MUCH RECORDING AT FUR FRIGHT. In the words of Rily, I PROMISE!
There was also this very socially awkward fur (HAHA SURPRISE) that just wouldn't leave my friend alone. Don't worry, I won't name any names...they know who they are. Both parties. BUT this kid was creeping so hard, and smelled so bad...it's one thing to just be socially awkward, but it's entirely different when you smell like disgusting, and you don't leave the person who CLEARLY wants nothing to do with you alone. My friend is just too sweet and nice to properly get this kid off his back, so (without being asked) I came to his aid. We were both in suit, outside the front of the hotel, and he comes over YET AGAIN. My friend buries his head against me, and I kept saying to mr. creeper to go away. We don't want you here! No thank you BYEBYE. But this kid must be mentally defective. Even awkward ppl would know to go away at that point. Not this idiot. I later saw him Monday afternoon, before I left....at that point I was just crabby and wanting to get back to my boyfriend who had to leave the night before, so just being around that fat, stinky assface was aggravating me. I spoke very loudly about wanting to pop his balloon (I actually had a safety pin) but I wasn't really going to do it....I was close! But no....He was allowed to keep his precious striped balloon.
And, of course, I talked about how much I hate him, how retarded he is and stinky, and all that jazz, right in front of him. Ppl were like "uh..he's right there"....WTF GUYS, DID YOU THINK I DIDN'T KNOW?! hahaha
He's a fucking stalker, and needs to go away. If I catch him following my friend around again, I'LL DO MORE THAN POP HIS FAGGOTY BALLOON. I have so much hate for anyone who makes me loves feel uncomfortable.
I'm usually very nice, so for this kid to get that side out of me....it takes a lot. For anyone who's met me, you know I'm sweeter than candy. But they also know not to fuck with me, or my friends. I didn't choose a sabre tooth cat as my sona for no reason. XD

Posted 13 years agoI HATE that I have to wait for each weekend to see my BF. And it's not even for a whole weekend, bc of work. *le sigh* I'm just so in love, that I'm willing to deal with this for now. I feel like I'm falling more and more in love each time I get to wrap my arms around him and each time we kiss. I still get butterflies just thinking about him. I never once felt I had to put up with him. Sure, we aggravate each other here and there, but that happens in ALL relationships. I long for the days when we don't have to wait nearly a week to see other for barely more than a day. He's on my mind all day, every day. He is the most important person in my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I truly have fallen, and hope to never get up. (Leave it to me to make a fucking sitcom reference at the end of a really sweet post. XD)

How dare you not give my friend his refund, when he rightly deserves it. We commissioned you, back at Anthrocon, LAST YEAR, and I had to hound you several times in order to just get a fucking sketch. You say that you actually finished it a while ago, emailed it me, and have been waiting for a response to green-light it? I CALL BULLSHIT.
You say this has happened with multiple people, but only now that I contact you with nothing but rage, you actually create a fucking journal to all us commissioners?
Being an artist, and drawing for others is not just about the product. It's also about the customer service. The communication. Leaving us satisfied. I am left with nothing but anger and hatred toward you.
You should have created this journal long ago, and since you and I had been messaging on skype, you should have contacted me there as well.
HELL, you never should have taken so fucking long to not do shit, to get me to hound you anyway. Our drawing should have been done several months ago.
I've commissioned literally 4-5 other people since we commissioned you. One of them was done in 3 days!

So, there's this sci fi/anime type convention at Stony Brook college next weekend. Who's going?! I am! It'll be my 4th or 5th year...I've kinda lost count. It's small, but fun! And there's a whole building just for the furries. I know in the past, we weren't as welcome, but now I see people suiting in the dealer's room and people love it. I saw Woger there last year.
There's also light night 18+ Hentai movie showings, which are bizarre and hysterical. I think that's my favorite panel out of them all.
There's also a ton of great stuff to buy in the dealer's room each year. My first time, I spent well over $200....ugh...Can't believe it...lol
Let's all go, suit up, and rock this party!
And students get a discount! (Or if you have an old ID that has no year, and you still look enough like your photo...XD)
