This month has been pretty interesting. I've been happy with all the cool people I've met in the fandom. And pumped out more pictures and drawings on my alt account than I have in the past. It's been fun.

However reality finally set in. I've been looking for studio jobs for a while now and have pretty much come up empty, to the point where I've almost given up in general. Animation is, a pretty connection based industry, and since I've had friends work at a small number of studios where as I have been moved around a ton, they have so many connections and barely have to even try to find work, where I have struggled to even get any kind of reply email back from the numerous attempts I have applied to multiple places.

Bottom line is that it sucks balls. And I pretty much have given up on the industry, which really sure is cause I loved my job and though I did plenty of good work. If I could just do a Build test I think I'd exceed expectations. But that's not happening anytime soon.

Bottom line is that 3 months of searching is almost over. And I'm out of options other than applying for some possibly minimum wage job somewhere which is almost depressing. Having a career and not being able to maintain it like all of my classmates. I'd start fresh but that could take years to get into a field where I have no idea what I'd be doing, cause i enjoy doodling drawing and doing art.

Right now my commissions have dried up, and while I have a couple in the works, I still don't have remotely enough of a following to maintain this. Family is expecting me to work anywhere at this point, and my options are pretty limited.

I'm always open for commissions if anyone wants to note me or something. Other than helping out at my old High school and drawing stuff for myself, commissions have been really fun to do although very scarce. I will say my digital art has improved so much since I worked on it at the start of the year. Just look at those shitty pics in February and March. >.<

I dunno. Just needed to seriously vent somehow. Being a Furry IRL and meeting up with real people has been a highlight. Just hoping I don't have to seriously go into my savings is something I wish wasn't a potential reality at this point.

Wow. Somehow I had an actual art queue last month. I've done a lot of work last month trying to promote my art.

So I'm back home in BC which is lovely. I even got to do a fur meet for the first time and met some really cool people. Commissions lately have been flowing in tho I've limited myself since I don't want to take people's money and have a massive queue. My family dog had knee surgery and since I'm watching her all the time, I'm not at my computer doing art anywhere near as much as before.

The only thing going poorly is that since my contract ended I'm essentially jobless for a bit. I'm honestly worried about my future in the animation industry. Don't know anyone I went to school with who's working cause productions are all finishing. But it's nerve racking not having a job and just sitting at home. Life sucks that way.

Other than that I've got some cool plans in the future. Working on a Halloween comic with my characters. I'm actually really excited planning it out. Hopefully I can finish it by the Halloween season.

So June sucked. Nuff said. July has been pretty interesting. I've had some time now that my contract has ended to look for work and I've talked to some pretty cool people and even multi streamed with some I'd never expect to 6 months ago.

So I'm moving back to my home province of British Columbia, back to Vancouver. Now that I'm fully committed in this community I might actually hang with people and maybe go to VancouFur next year when it comes. I stopped taking commissions for now just cause I have to pack everything up in the next two days.

It's gonna be fun to see my family again since I haven't seen them in 6 months or so. Might be way less online tho. Also I hope my comp can survive the trip across the country. It sure didn't the first time. I still need to get someone to look at it, but when it gets to Vancouver.

I've been slowly trying to improve and communicate with new groups of people, But I've been finding that my contacts are pretty limited as well as not being able to get helpful tips and advice for my art.

Now that I have more free time I really need to talk to more people, get my art out there and get some constructive criticism.

Telegram had been really good for a while, but I really want to add more discord groups in my list of contacts. I know many artists hold their own channels and groups and It'd be interesting if I could find some good ones or interesting groups of furs to chat with about things.

Wow. So much has happened in May it's been weird.

First I finally bulked out to 230lbs which is a shock. Though most of it I assume is fat due to my diet >.< I've felt significantly stronger and now can easily bench over 4 plates which is around 225 pounds. Even my I Rep Max bench hit 275 without a spotter. Geez.

I also told a friend I was a furry, which was a weird situation overall. The dude was a fur who had gone to FE in Toronto months ago. I wanted to tell him but kept feeling shy about it, even though I kinda hinted at it. Now that we take yoga together on Thursdays I told him one evening which was a load off my chest.

Art had been pretty rough. I don't know why I wasn't able to finish a lot of the things I wanted to do, yet recently I've been doodling a bunch of random things and getting those done. I started doing Rice Doodles which are free drawings from my sketchbook cause my rice cooker sucks and it takes like an hour to get through cooking and eating. So I announce stuff like that on Twitter.

As for Twitter, I hit 100 followers the other day. Not enough for me to be like, Yo I'm open for commissions, but whatever. I think I'm gonna charge 20 USD for lined pieces and 30 USD for full colours. I really need to pick up the pace for my linework specifically.

I also started posting my sketches to my FA, though I have a bunch. I'm just gonna post them 3 at a time cause I don't need to dump random sketches into people's timelines. If you wanna see all of them so far you can check out my twitter.

So I've mostly been doodling and drawing stuff on twitter as well as practicing skill that I would later want to put into use when I want to commission. Also, I did some art for characters I like.

I guess the main thing is now I want to focus on not doing as many requests and focusing on drawing my own things. I do kinda wanna save up to buy a fursuit one day. Twitter has made me so jealous of some fursuiters and I want to get in on the fun sometime in the future.

I currently have 2 things going on at the moment. I have my Feeling theme commissions which seem to not be going many places, but I've heard some cool feedback on the couple icons I did. Maybe ill open those up sometime. I dunno. Maybe 30 USD. I truly have no idea how to price anything.

Anyways thats it. Not much more to say. If you have suggestions on how to grow my followers on twitter and FA I'd love to hear it. Or if you want an icon message me to cause I'm always open at the moment.

Now that I'm being more active in the Fur community and have followers and watchers on my FA and Twitter (Follow me at @ Einsley_acr) I'm thinking of doing one of those question memes passing by or just an AMA on FA or Twitter. I don't have that many followers on each, but it would se an intersting thing to try.

So my boss emailed me just now saying that the studio was closed tomorrow due to the weather and that the busses are also not running as well. So that means I'm gluing myself to my chair tomorrow afternoon and sketching all day long.

I really don't know what to say about the last couple of weeks.

While I said that I was going to spend more time drawing and getting better at digital art, I was able to do a successful test for a company and I'm now moving across the country into Nova Scotia. Now as I'm writing this I'm jamming my suitcases full of everything possible to ship across the continent and leaving some of my favourite possessions behind.

Moving away from home for the first time is more scary than I thought. I've been pretty calm at home but I'm feeling it specifically now that I'm cramming final things in my suitcases. I plan on drawing way the fuck more now that I'm not living at home.

I'm leaving BC with one last drawing a scrambled to to this afternoon.

Also I had a pretty chill birthday on Sunday the 15th. Played lots of Secret Hitler with a huge group of friends and it was more fun than I thought it would ever be. I plan to make sure my gallery is filled with sketches and drawings for when I turn 25 next year. Right now at 24 I feel pretty OK. Most stress came from this whole moving situation that happened right before my birthday.

Oh well. Carpe Diem.

Hey. Haven't done one of these in a while. Don't even know if anyone will read this.

2016 was rough, am I right? Hopefully now that that year was over I can look further ahead at the year to come. I've made plenty of New Years resolutions from hitting certain gym goals to playing more games in my steam library than before. But one of the main ones I'm trying to do a lot more is being active in this community. I spend way to much time on this website, gushing over peoples art, and scrolling through everyone's twitters, and watching picarto streams that I miss being in some kind of community like I was when I went to art school.

2017 is also going to be the year where I get back to doing a lot more art than I was working at studios. The amount of drawing I did in the last couple of years is pitiful, and now that I'm currently waiting for more work is a perfect time to get back in the game. Not that I've mastered Photoshop or Sai or anything, but I need to learn and get better. This site is rich of dedicated folks who would love to see their characters fleshed out and drawn, and I'm in a rut to draw anything to get my skills back up.

I'm essentially going to spam the shit out of this website doing sketches and drawings, (I'd wanna say everyday but that probably wont happen), cause that's one of my new years resolutions. I'd love to start free sketches again sometime. Chances are If I'm watching you here, I'd love to draw your characters.

Also my birthday is next week on the 15th. I'd love to get some birthday art drawing done by the 15th to showcase my digital drawing skills.

As a learning artist I'm offering free drawings to expand my artistic ability. I'm not the greatest artist, and so that's why they're free. Ill only do some basic line arts, but maybe if I may expand later. Ill take about 15 drawings to start, and will see how it goes from there.

I'm thinking of starting commissions to keep me doing art in my free time as well as to make some money on the side. However I have absolutely no idea on what to do or how to do it.

I'm planning to PM some artists on the site that have streams that i sometimes watch or have Watched them.

I think this would be an overall great thing for me to not only make money but to practice drawing to help with art school.

Also trades would be cool to get free art while drawing something awesome in return.
