Getting back into it
Posted 3 months agoDo people ever read journals here? Heh.
Anyways. You may have noticed that this account has had a couple moments of activity, with a whole lot of nothing in between. The truth is, that drawing and making art in general has been more of an on-and-off thing for me for a good while. And it's not because I hate it, or because I've been too busy for it. It's more that... I guess I didn't have the drive for it.
I kept giving priority to other things and, to be honest with you, doing my art was getting stressful at times. Mostly out of perfectionism. Ya know, feeling intensely frustrated when I don't draw quite as good as others do. Don't get me wrong, I'm not stupid; I know that it's a matter of practice and dedication, but it's not like keeping the consistency was something I was good at with just about anything, not just art.
Today, though, I want to get back to what I enjoy doing. And keep doing it. Even when I feel like what I do is not good enough, I want to believe I can get there one day.
Maybe third time's the charm.
PS: If you like any of the things that I do, tell me about it! I like reading the things people say about my craft. Makes me feel validated, you know?
