Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! And wtf chicken?!
Posted 13 years agoOkay, Merry Christmas! I know you've been bombarded with MANY Christmas journals but...get used to it.
This Christmas has been somewhat typical and somewhat special. There's ALWAYS conflicts with relatives (ultra-Conservative's, rednecks, paranoid anarchists, and my liberal sister (which I love and will defend at the parties)), but this year we got to avoid some of that because my dad is in the hospital. He had cancer, and we had to SCREAM at him when the signs were evident to go get his ass checked out (literally) and he had part of his colon removed. So today we get to take him home, and he'll be going back into surgery six weeks from now to remove the Colostomy bag. If you don't know what that is and you are sometimes queasy, don't Google it.
But yeah, got to open some presents at the hospital and do a facechat with relatives down in Austin. And guess what?! It's a white Christmas! I'm serious! In NE Texas it has been snowing and we had a fucking white Christmas! AND thanks to
I was able to get the gift I really wanted and as a plus, I got the graphics tablet amazon told me that my mom got me.
And so I'll make my new years Resolution's here and with the same journal as the Merry Christmas (since I don't really celebrate New Year's often. Typically I've worked since...well it's just something that happens):
• (PRIORITY) Get a plane ticket and see this next Christmas! I WILL see you love!
• Publish a book I’ve been working on.
• Get twice as many watchers on FA (120)
• Re-write and Finish Decades with Ryan
• Cast Auditions and Write Furday the Fourteenth (Part II & III) sometime this year.
• Start a writing series casting both my love and I
• Move into my own apartment this summer!
• Learn to draw and submit DECENT works of Furry Art to Visually Interpret my stories!
• Kiss
Okay, SOME of you are wondering about the chicken...
I had packed up the minivan with the presents we had opened, and I was taking out the last bundle along with my sister's following (they didn't know where the van was parked). It's raining, they're lagging under the ER awning, and there's a chicken...in the parking lot of the hospital on Christmas! I turn to my sister's (and their friend Heathyr (Hi Heathyr!)) and I'm like, WTF?! Well I PASS the chicken on the way to the car (technically a rooster) and it tries to cross the road where it's almost hit. The car however saw it and stopped, and the chicken went to go hide in the bushes.
My only guess is that he was trying to get to the ER after parking the car. That is why the chicken crossed the road in the rain at a Hospital on Christmas.

I was shocked when they planned to protest the vigil in Newtown, Conn. But after that I literally whooped and cheered for the hacker group Anonymous. They are not afraid to take action against a malignant force that is killing us.

Thanksgiving is a Hoax
Posted 13 years ago1. The significance is ironic and lost. No one's thankful unless they are climbing up from being pushed down onto their knees.
2. It's a hassle and it's unhealthy. Millions of American's gorge on massive amounts of food that causes obesity and indigestion.
3. Half the people attending the dinner are probably only interested in the next day's Black Friday's sales.
4. It's all an act. Everyone "pretends" to be nice unless there's alcohol. Then they're all either very nice and goofy or really mean and pissed off.
5. It is inefficient. You are traveling hundreds of miles just to attend a single dinner. Yes, you get to see your relatives but we have facebook for that, and quite a lot of people prefer that method more than face-to-face interaction.
I could go on, but I'm sure I have offended at least one person reading this. No? Oh, well America is a country of capitalist pigs that are selfish, greedy, and wasteful idiots that think they are on top of the world.
Yes, I'm in a pissed off mood. I'm expected to go down to Austin alone on a 4 hour drive, spend two days of my time there, and then come back. My sister's down there, my car needs the brake's fixed, and the only reason why I'm expected to do this is because my mother put me on a guilt trip by pointing the ipad at me while my grandmere (grandmother) was on a webcam chat. And who the hell can say no to their elders like that? When your parents are right behind them?
Well I'm probably going to get yelled at for this, but I'm just not going. ANYWHERE. I don't care and I don't want to waste my time to this hoax of a holiday.

Posted 13 years agoI saw this with my mate and I'm sort of freaking out. I have relatives that are ultra-conservative and are in complete hatred towards Obama's second term. But when I saw this:

I was like, "Oh my fucking god. I thought it wouldn't come to this."
I mean, I voted for Romney, but yeah, Obama won. He's our leader, I'll respect and support him! He's our leader for another four years and conflict isn't going to help the nation's issues!
I thought that with Obama winning by a pretty decent margin there wouldn't be any conflict over the matter, but it seems people like my grandma and uncles are taking it four score and seven steps too far.
I'm not sure what to do in retaliation. I mean, this is bad. This isn't something I expected in years to come. If they're denied this, they could very well...revolt.
I discourage any support for this, but what do you think we need to do about this? I mean, it's partially too dangerous to ignore. The simple thought of this corroding our foundation of unity could lead to something drastic.

Miserable News update
Posted 13 years agoOkay, surgery went find and I'm with my mom now. She's very nauseated and can't really eat so she'll get to go home tomorrow when they'll hopefully release her.
I am gratious to be here with my mom, but I can't do anything. Tried to read in the waiting room but for some reason it's not a fitting environment. And thanks to the stupid wi-fi not being set up right I can't surf the web on my tablet. Overall it's not something I'm exactly whining over but I feel like I'm wasting time not doing anything productive while watching my mom. What do people typically do besides read magazines while they wait in the hospital? (I AM NOT WATCHING THE VIEW or ANY talkshow that the tv is stuck on in the waiting room.

Posted 13 years agoOkay, something that is iconic that you might know of. Big Tex has caught fire at the state fair and everyone is in despair over this. This is his 60th anniversary and all that is left is his charred frame.
More importantly Texas A & M got a bomb threat and is evacuated. How have they not found who is making these threats yet?
Okay, now something personal and I hope for your prayers and kind thoughts. First, it has been confirmed that my dad has pre-cancer in his colon. To make things worse as my parents were finding this information out, my mom went to the ER for abdomen pains. They released her but she is back now. She will be hospitalized and they will probably remove her galbladder.
So much crap happening at once. It is ridiculous! These are only medical problems and not mentioning the financial bull-shit I've been experiencing! Well I hope to maybe write while waiting with my mom, they will probably perform her surgery tomorrow.

Posted 13 years ago****Well, I have been a stubborn furry. I am the middle child of the family and have been noted as the most financially responsible even though I still live with my parents. Seriously, I made all of my car payments except for the last and have paid for a majority of my own tuition. Reason why I boast about this? My sisters get onto me for still living at home.
Anyway, I have been having some car problems, little things going out here and there (somehow my window broke on it's own yesterday) due to old age. However today, I desparately needed to get a new tire. Tire was pretty much bald and even going thirty you could hear a thump. Well...I had to get the money from my parents because they insisted on it, and they even gave me a lecture almost yelling out that I shouldn't be trying to fully live out on my own yet with my job and resources.
So I guess I'd like to reflect with you all that sometimes you need to accept help. I don't like to, I don't want to, but sometimes I have too.

Okay, today was my last day at Braum's. I know some people would be like "Yeah! Not working fast food anymore" but honestly my other job is tied to fast food. I don't know, I guess I really like the food service industry maybe. Although I probably won't be going back to this job (it was actually my third time back. Each time I left they were actually sad and each time I came back they were happy and instantly hired me) because hopefully next summer I'll have moved an hour away to my own place and FINALLY start getting closer to completing my bachelor's degree.
So I finally have two days off during the week and that should give me a fair opportunity to study. I took my first mid-term and I just wanted to break down because I realized I didn't really get an opportunity to study for it. This will also be a fair opportunity to write more.
Well I have midterms this week (Well, those that require three exams) and then I will actually be taking a road trip with my mom out of state. Honestly, I'm not exactly thrilled to go but I'll get a chance to drive my Honda Civic through some scenery mountains. I just gotta make sure I don't scare my mom, engine breaking around the corners.
So yeah and now something I would like more artists to try out.
Some of you may have noticed the link on my FA profile under my FA buddies (BTW, if you want to be part of the FA buddies list just note me or shout me and hopefully I won't have to consider it. If you're one of my favorite artists, you're already on my page). This is an excel spreadsheet saved as a web page which I think is a little more efficient in showing your work on submissions/projects.
It's actually pretty simple to do, just go to save as under the file type and choose to save as web page. If you want to be technical you can save certain parts of sheets or particular sheets but it's easier to just save them all as one. Then use you public folder on your dropbox account (might need to get one) and copy the link of the file(good idea to keep original editing sheet in same folder) to then post on your profile page.
If you really want to do this and are having trouble just note me and I can either help out with specific troubles or reference you to something more visual. Hope this is useful to you because updating info on a journal just seems...plain?

Honestly, I'm not exactly thrilled to go but I'll get a chance to drive my Honda Civic through some scenery mountains. I just gotta make sure I don't scare my mom, engine breaking around the corners.

**** TRY THIS WITH SUBMISSIONS!!! ****Some of you may have noticed the link on my FA profile under my FA buddies (BTW, if you want to be part of the FA buddies list just note me or shout me and hopefully I won't have to consider it. If you're one of my favorite artists, you're already on my page). This is an excel spreadsheet saved as a web page which I think is a little more efficient in showing your work on submissions/projects.
It's actually pretty simple to do, just go to save as under the file type and choose to save as web page. If you want to be technical you can save certain parts of sheets or particular sheets but it's easier to just save them all as one. Then use you public folder on your dropbox account (might need to get one) and copy the link of the file(good idea to keep original editing sheet in same folder) to then post on your profile page.
If you really want to do this and are having trouble just note me and I can either help out with specific troubles or reference you to something more visual. Hope this is useful to you because updating info on a journal just seems...plain?

Decades with Ryan & Possibly the most depressing thing on FA
Posted 13 years ago*Note. I try not to post too many journals. Finally ended up nuking all of the journals I had after it reached 200. I like to read them to keep up to date with all the people I meet on there, unfortunately it's TOO MUCH INFORMATION *Holds head in mental frustration*
*Edit - Initially I thought about getting some feedback on the series but honestly I've changed my mind (AGAIN!!!). I'll finish the series as planned and unfortunately that does mean that it will have a total of 45 chapters (yeah, I know. Obsessive but then again you know me).
However it will be part of a rotation as mentioned in the comment below with Rayjmaster as follows:
* Mystical/Mythical - KNM
* Horror - FTF Part II (although this will happen quite a bit from now. Going to brush up on a few Stephen King novels before Jason has recuperated)
* Romance - DWR (if people still like it I'll continue it. However I might start a series to get my intimate desires out onto paper)
* Sci-Fi - Kastorian Kosmos (Still working on the plot and structure for this one)
* Comedy - Me, My Fursona, and Jacob (Yeah, I kinda ripped the title off of Me, Myself, and Irene but trust me, It's completely different and cunningly creative.)
Also there will be erotic short stories, TF erotic short stories, and even poetry that I hope to maybe do to keep my insane mind pre-occupied. Sorry for creating doubt, and if you had expectations of me ending the series soon I apologize for disappointment.
I've FINALLY written out a suitable schedule accompanying study time, work, school, work-2, taking kids to school, and yoga-....how did that get in there? Anyway, writing stories is also in there so I can express my deep, dark, homo-sexually cruel-*shakes head out of trance*-I'll have opportunity to keep writing and you can witness the destructive creation that will be posted here. Sorry it's late, I'm wide awake, and I don't know why.
Now, I stumbled upon something on FA that reminded me of some dark days. I have had a history of suicide, never attempts but honestly there was a rumor in high school that I tried to hang myself in the closet and that the rack fell down on me humorously. It eventually led to where the bullies (yeah, the bullies) eventually told a counselor their suspicions and next thing you know, I'm seeing a professional psychiatrist for 6-weeks. Didn't solve anything because my sister was the same egotistical bitch and wouldn't talk to the doctor to settle some of HER problems she was reflecting onto me.
Back to the point I stumbled upon this
FA-Cemetery. This is an account dedicated to FA members who are now deceased. Depressingly, I have a strange interest in death. I have hung out and taken walks in the cemetery at night. And looking around, I found this one

This person committed suicide the same way I would have. And I know I had heard that when you commit suicide that you are so dearly hurting the people that love you. That statement never really impacted me until I saw this user's page. I was deeply hurt, this person kept trying over and over again to commit suicide and didn't care who he was hurting. His family was trying everything they could to stop him and he was persistent. I know we all feel pain, and I swear I don't have a sense of Ego but I've felt A LOT more pain than most people. I'm not really sure what triggered him to commit suicide, but he was so dedicated it seems that his last journal was a dedicated goodbye.
We've all been in the shadows hiding from the light that burns our emotions, and honestly I like to stay in them. But I don't intend on disappearing into darkness forever. You have a friend here, more importantly you have friends here. And this might sound cold to you but I have deep thoughts that I would have wanted to talk to Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris before they started their monstrous decent that took more than their lives with them into complete darkness. These events teach us things we don't understand, and I just want to contribute some sort of kindness beyond my comprehension.

Personal Update - Mid September
Posted 13 years agoI probably won't be writing too much for the next couple of weeks. I was hoping to catch up on KNM and eventually post a TF story by the end of the month but I'll be putting that off. School's piling up and an hour drive to there and then an hour drive back is killing the hours of the day.
However, those long drives home have given me wonderful opportunities to think out grand story ideas. I know I've shared a few story ideas but the list just got a little longer. One is a movie remake (no other fursona involvement) that will be a comedy and I've shared with others a few details on a sci-fi that may need some sort of prequel to get it off the ground.
But anyway, point is right now I'll be a watcher; gazing over the list of submissions and journals that have built up. Eventually I'll go back to writing as soon as I get my homework done and read through all my reading material, although it's not like my work is in demand.
Anyway, hope all you other college buddies are growing accustomed to new classes at old/new campuses. Hopefully none of you were at UT or LSU when they had the bomb threats. Also, I've made a small policy. I'll reply to comments as best I can on submissions. If you favorited something and you're not in my watch list, I'll thank you with a Yeller shout. I'll always thank a new watcher, but it get tedious when I thank people in my watchlist who favorite my submissions and then it annoys them.
Anyway (I keep trying to end this but more info just pops up), see ya later!...I really like the nickname Yeller.

Posted 13 years agoIf you zombies and zombie brain splatter, check out this video. It is so cunningly amusing in it's plot. And there are animals that come to the rescue since humans are incapable of controlling their own experimental offspring. Therefore it suggests that furry's have the best chance for survival during a zombie apocalypse.
FTF Status & Personal Update
Posted 13 years agoOkay so it's been a little while since I've posted a personal journal but first onto the interesting part.
I have been working on Furday the Fourteenth and am on Part IV. In honesty, it's a little intimidated because I feel behind schedule but it's not even September yet. But I plan to finish it despite my hectic scheduling at least before the start of the week I plan to submit it. Just a warning, it's long, very long (that's what he said!!!). It's already at 60 pages and that's not even considering Part IV which is already at 9 pages. I'm hoping that people are willing to read the whole thing but if you just want to know when your character is murdered then send me a pm when it's submitted and I'll respond back with the details you want.
Just to make sure it doesn't suck I'm having it critiqued one part at a time. This is just to ensure that it will be appealing to the reader's eye even if it doesn't meet my own expectations. And as I said it's not the original plot of Friday the 13th, it is my own variation of creativity that you have been chained down in and slaughtered with entertaining amusement.
Also I may have mentioned something about a foxer but I'm still uncertain exactly how I'm going to have fun with this. I have an idea but it may be a little over the top. But that will come a couple weeks after I submit the story (things will fall into place for me because I am busy! busy! busy!). But I would like to hear some ideas on what you think (if you've read down this far)
***Personal Info***
Fall semester started up. I'm getting to drive an hour to and from twice a week to college for classes but it's worth it. I also have a class here in my hometown and would have taken all my classes there, but despite the fact that it's a brand new facility they do not offer one of the classes I am taking.
I also mentioned in my last personal journal that they put me on anti-depressants. They've been leveling out in my system, I've been a bit crabby (I yelled at my cousins this morning trying to get them ready for school and one is still in elementary school ) and even worse I've suffered a very BAD consequence. I have...*gulps and gets on scale* ...gained 20 pounds. I typically don't mind being a little fat but I don't think that's healthy. But as I said the medication has been leveling out and my overpowering appetite is starting to slow down (seriously, I was eating fast food in between meals).
Also found out that moving out will be a little easier for me. I'm no longer expected to take my dog and the stray that my sister took in without permission but only her cat so I can get an apartment. Already found one in Wichita Falls that I really like where I can go to Midwestern State (that's where Dr. Phil went) and I hope I can move out there next summer when I transfer.
Hope you all are joyfully saying goodbye to summer and hope you overall had a good summer. Most of mine was spent writing (I know I didn't write the best stories right off but I developed into something better than how I started) and what do you know, I got a few watchers that turned out to be some great friends online. Now I look forward to the cold winters that will soon engulf my soul and please it with cheerful pleasure.
