I have 2 necklaces that have not shipped because I need jewelry boxes and I guess since christmas gift giving the shop I buy my boxes from has been out of them for another week.
I'll be tossing in a little extra something with those orders since I'm tardy on them, very sorry.
I think my next business expense is going to be a carton of jewelry boxes so I don't have to keep going to the store and dealing with them running out :/

Do you have a mammal pelt that needs some love?
I'm looking for something medium sized, raccoon, coyote, any fox, nothing too fancy or valuable, it doesn't need to be cased, or have paws, or even a tail for that matter!
If you have something that you'd be willing to trade for I really need to thin out my inventory, I have too many things that are just sitting around...
So yes, if you have something, let me know!

I doubt the ones going overseas will make it for xmas, but lets keep our fingers crossed!
Sorry I haven't been to active these past few days, it's getting hectic for my on this end, with all the baking and last minute holiday planning, that and all the wrapping XD My family makes me wrap all the gifts, because I like to do it, heh
Thats it for now, now time to be off and go get goodie baskets decorated and wrapped!

General | Posted 13 years agoI'm going 6 hours over 24 hr with no sleep, I'm not tired, just I've been feeling so productive, I just got my order of stationary in, Most of my packages that I sent out are arriving to their homes, I'm starting to use NEW packaging! and I'm actually getting some projects DONE!
I finished up 2 medicine bags last night, and I've been thinking up all sorts of things to work on, most of these projects I only have half the materials, but I'm slowly gathering the materials I need!
I have 4 packages I'm getting together to go out either Monday or Tuesday morning! So if you just recently ordered something, that's most likely your pack.
That being said, If you wanted something to have any kind of chance in getting to you let me know!
I'm really looking to move items, so I have a deals like buy earrings get matching necklaces for only $10 more (saving you $7-$10) I'm also willing to work with customers on prices, my prices aren't 100% concrete.
Anything else here?

I have on the back burner ideas for an instrument or 2 as well as some hair pieces, but is there anything you guys would like to see me tackle? One of my favourite things about creating art is pushing my abilities and learning new techniques! If anyone has suggestions for things to try out I'd love to hear it!

I only trade ATCs really, if you like one I have in my gallery show me what you have and we can work from there, I'll occasionally do custom made ATC trades, but typically it would just be pre-makes.
I'm accepting trades for supplies and art materials for really, any piece of art in my gallery. Depending on what you might have I may also be able to make you something totally new! (granted I have materials to work with)

HALP!!! Molding questions! Acrylic, Silicone, Plaster?!?

I'll eventually be making a jawset, this will be a custom one, I'd just order one off a supplier, but they don't have the species I need anywhere...
I'll need to make a jawset, which will be cast in acrylic, I think... I need the teeth to be hard.
I have a recipe for oomoo, the mold needs to be flexible, so I got that part down, and I'll just be pouring resin into that mold to get the acrylic positive.
The part I need a little help on is for the tongue...
I need the tongue to be flexible/soft, so I'll be casting that with silicone.... So my question is...
What should I use to make the mold for the tongue?
I figure it should be plaster... but is there a home made recipe for plaster?
Is plaster even the proper route to go?
I doubt you can... but can you cast silicone in a silicone mold?
Does anyone have any other ideas for this project?
I also need some information on pourable or even sprayable foam, if anyone knows anything about that...

No, but seriously... I'm going in for some dental surgery tomorrow, I'm going to 'try' to sleep tonight, but I'm already feeling fidgety/anxious (not in a bad way, but not in a great way either)

I'll be on and off skype all night, unless I can manage to sleep.. Got a few nice materials in the mail today and I hope to start making some new things very soon.

And for those who say Weasyl is just for elite artists.
No this is not true. It is an invite only site, but they have no "artistic quality" restrictions... I've already seen plenty of artists from all levels there, really when you say things like that you just look like a jerk. It's true, I'm not calling anyone out. Anyone can get in so long as you get an invite. It isn't an exclusive club...
I mean... I got in XD
That's proof enough.
In other news I'll still be doing donation streams to fund a new tablet, I might do one tonight if anyone's up for it. To view or contribute it doesn't matter :p
My current goal is $90 (maybe a little more maybe a little less I'm still brand shopping)
But I currently have $38! That's a great start!
I'm basically doing it donate what you can, I'll draw something based off your contribution, I'm trying to make it as fair as possible to both of us, Seriously, I can't do full rendered artwork for $3... But I can draw you something nice and it's definitely something we can discuss.

General | Posted 13 years agoI kinda want to make a second account... because 2-d art to me is more secondary... I wish FA had folder options or something, I really don't want to manage 2 separate accounts, But my gallery is becoming bloated with doodles and ATCs...
I'd much rather have my crafts and textiles featured...
I'm not sure what I'm going to do... I don't even know what I'd call a second account... I'm very uncreative in the naming department... :/

General | Posted 13 years agoHey everyone, sorry I haven't been as active, I had a very busy weekend, I've been baking nonstop getting ready for the holiday and my niece just had her 2 year birthday which I did a lot of the catering for.
I'm still dealing with the surreal feeling that goes along with having the oddest sleep schedule, and not even much sleep to begin with.
It's been sleep for 2 hours, wake up to cook/bake, pack up things for the move, go run errands, sleep a little bit more, clean and bake some more, get stuff together for photoshoots, and then there's my workshop...

I have this on a plaque in my "office"
and it's VERY true, well... I'm sure some people can stay organized... but I'm always meddling with all sorts of different tools and applications... so my shop tends to get messy... I have to go through all my tools, paints, materials, supplies... EVERYTHING and get it packed...
For those of you who didn't know, I live with some roommates but I have a lot of property still with my parents. At my house I'm moving ALL my property to the basement so I can have a work shop in my house, so I don't have to go to my mom's and pick up a drill... or the belt sander, or some adhesives...
This move is going to be good for me, but it's taking a lot of my time and depleting my energy... Though it's not like I manage my free-time properly... I actually could be getting more sleep if I wasn't wasting my time on entertainment... I just beat Red Dead (well not 100%, I'm not doing the last few missions, because I don't like Jack Marshton... it's like Bambi... That one super sad part... if I ignore it, it didn't happen :p )
I did play a little of this game "From Dust"
It's like.... they MADE this game for me! The kick in the head? You can only download it... A hard copy is not available for sale :/
Does anyone know how to install a torrent game file on an Xbox HD?
I looked up tutorials, but they all involve burning DVDs, is there a way to just download the file and transfer it to the Xbox HD via flash drive?

I'm almost done with those ATC trades, I just need to colour them and I should be uploading some, if not all tonight or tomorrow, sorry I'm dragging my feet a bit on my end.

General | Posted 13 years agoI've been sleeping from like 4am-8am for the past few days. I don't stay tired, and I mostly sleep because I get cold...
I've been going to appointments and sitting on the phone for HOURS with insurance and clinics and the insurance people again.... then again with the clinics...
For those of you who didn't know, I have severely impacted wisdom teeth, It's not too bad, but the bottom left side can get really killer at times... I /do/ have some pain medication, but I really an mot much of a pill person. I'd rather just sit with pain than drug myself and pass out.
I'm going sometime around the 15th to get surgery, granted all the paperwork and referrals go to the right people and then forwarded to the next in line of this loop-chain of red tape.
The neatest thing?
I get to keep my teeth!
The oral surgeon said as long as I remind the nurses not to trash my teeth they can give them to me. 2 will be in near perfect condition (granted they aren't malformed or already damaged) and 2 will be smashed up, since they have to break them to remove them, but that's not a big deal for me, I can always toss them in my misc tooth bowl or put them in a jar.
I'm really excited for this because everyone I talked to says that they don't let you keep the medical waste. I really want to make a necklace from my own teeth. Who gets excited for teeth pulling?!
I notice the more I draw the worse my "carpal tunnel" actually is, I have red marks on my ring finger knuckle and my palm from where I hold the pencil, and where my nails touch my palms. After only about 15 minutes my wrist gets sore and I have to shake it out. My neck is also suffering from the hunching over, I have such bad posture. @.@
I've been re-playing Red Dead Redemption. Oh man, I forgot how good this game is, and now that I'm nearing the end... I feel so bad for John Marshton.. I'm not going to fully beat the game, because I REALLY don't want to play as Jack...
I've been in such a western mood playing this game. I sit here in my off time from drawing and listen to Murder By Death, Such a perfect combo! Although it's still not doing much good for my hands, but I've never been 100% comfortable holding a xbox controller...

Sorry for the brief hiatus, I'm back!
General | Posted 13 years agoHey guys, I'm back online and actually in the tragedy that hit New York, my sister lost power in her house. But it wasn't too bad, because she surprised my mom and dropped by as I was out of my home.
I got everything I needed in the mail on time, Thank you so much Jesie! I need to get better pictures than the bad ones I have, the photos of the gloves go not do them justice being worn!
I had a nice time with family all weekend, cooked delicious foods, watched some classic films, recalled all sorts of memories, we had a good time!
Thank you to EVERYONE that left me a little boost of support. I read all the comments, but there were so many and I appreciate each message, just the time you took to read my plea and return sympathy, it does mean something to me.
I hope all of you had decent to great Halloweens this year! I had a lot of good spiced beers this season, and I love the diversity of fall seasonal beers that come along.
Anyway, I'm sorry I dropped off for a second back there, but I'm back now and I have to get a few things done. @.@

I 'm going to be away for a while because I feel really shitty. I'm going to visit with my mom for the weekend and clear my mind.
I rescued her like.. 8 years ago. She was living in a shitty situation.
Neglected.
My mom said the power went off and for some reason the surge protector her lamps were plugged into didn't come back on.
I feel terrible that she froze. That's the worst way to go for a reptile.
I know it's not really anyone's fault.
But I blame myself.
I saved her from negligent owners, the vets said she wouldn't recover from the mouth rot and that she was too skinny. But I nurtured her back to health to the point where she was thriving again.
And then she died in my care, all this time later.
I have to go bury my snake, But at least the rains are coming. They will carry her to the cosmic tree.
I'll be back later. Sorry, but I just don't feel like playing online for a bit.

General | Posted 13 years agoI've always studies dreams, I used to lucid dream, and I can still sometimes but I just don't honestly see it as something worth intentionally pursuing. If I become aware in a dream I'll play along, but I'd rather observe my subconscious than control it.
A lot of times I dream and it's so real to normal life that sometimes I can't tell if something is a memory, or just a memory of a dream. I've had a few dreams that were VERY cinematic, even to the point of different "camera" angles. I really only have one re-occurring dream, which given my current tooth issue I'm surprised I haven't had for while, but I usually have it several times a year.
It's one where my teeth start cracking, falling out, become very large, jagged, and painful. Sometimes I'll grow multiple rows of teeth that bleed and fall out. Eventually I'll start spitting blood and handfuls of teeth. I usually cry in horror.
Besides that the only other common theme that I experience is major injuries in solitude. Sometimes I'm in the woods in winter, and I "wake up" alone with either a head injury (usually my eye is either gone or just bloody) or my ribs are broken, with a bloody hole. The pain isn't immense, typically I'll have no problem traveling and so long as I hold onto the wound I can manage to wander around looking for someone. But I'm always alone, and it's usually all grey, whether it's in the forest, a highway, or an abandoned city.
This is really all just my personal dream background.
The point of the journal was to hi-light these few themes that have sorta stuck with me. I typically don't remember dreams after a day or two, and a lot of times, frankly, they aren't too eventful.
One night I had a dream I was walking to a community center through a field to some sort of party. I found a dead creature, it was something like a small monkey or cat, but it had hawk-like claws and wings. I went to go collect some feathers and it "became alive". Now when I say dead, I mean decomposing, I don't remember much more than that.
Another dream my little chihuahua dog had a single puppy out of nowhere. She's too small to have puppies so I don't know where this dream came from, but that's how dreams are. Well, she had a puppy that was the size of a large mouse. But she rejected it and I remember her grabbing it by the scruff and shaking it around trying to kill it. I had to pry her mouth open to get the little dog out.
The next two really... I just remember very small fragments of, but something makes them stick in my mind.
One I was looking through my tool cabinet for some pliers and I just remember pulling out a large brown (vulture) feather that was split.
The other I was sitting down making some sort of wall hang. I don't remember what it was or what it even looked like. I just know it was large and I was working on it for a long while in my dream, it was a third-person dream, and I remember watching my craft for a long time.
