"Public Service" Raffle 2 WINNERS
Posted 4 years agoSecond raffle is over, with the entry goal of 50 being reached, which means I picked one additional winner for each platform! I can't thank you all enough for the interest you put in my game, but I'll make it up by continuing to work on the game <3
There was a total of 62 entries, divided as such:
- 31 on Furaffinity (not counting the bonus entries for journals)
- 18 on Twitter
- 13 on Discord
I said if there were any duplicate winners I'd roll the same wheel again to pick an additional winner, but that didn't happen. Which is good for me, because 6 winners is plenty of work on my part already! :P
I will be doing a few more raffles in the future, as I think people enjoy having a chance to have their character in-game, and because it's a fantastic way to share the game and get more traction. I don't know how many more updates will have raffles, but once I'm done with them I'll look into adding community support for people to contribute their own writing to the game.
Enough blabbing, here are the winners:
1) RetroLite598 on Twitter
2)
Lumocity2 on Furaffinity
3) Paphvul on Discord
4) DizXyz on Twitter
5)
Dcr99 on Furaffinity
6) Polish Eagle on Discord
Congratulations to all winners, we'll take it to DMs to discuss what you want for your scene!
As I mentioned, 6 scenes is plenty of work so it will take a bit more time for the update to come out, so I prefer not to give a release date just yet. But don't worry, if you have the role you'll be pinged when it is ready!
Thanks again to all participants, and sorry if you're disappointed. There will be more opportunities in the future, I promise :)
Also here are the screenshots of the rolls (I mean idk if it's worth much in terms of proof but I shared it on other platforms so might as well do it here too):

Hiatus? idk but Crucible of Xes needs a full revamp anywa...
Posted 5 years agoHi, long time no see! Also happy new year lol
I was sharing some stuff about the game on the Discord server and figured I should post that stuff here as well:
"yeah, the plan for now was to get the second portal working (still kobolds), and later down the line many more characters
the thing is (and the main reason I haven't been talking a lot about the game), I'm finding it's really difficult adding new scenes to the game. I was trying a "modular" approach where the game follows a base structure (which I wanted to get working with one fight before adding a new scene), which would let me add more content in the future bit by bit
but with little surprise coming from my first game in this engine: the code is a mess, adding a new scene creates countless bugs and I kinda got overrun by them
I've been thinking about what to do next about this, and I think doing a full revamp of the game (as in start from scratch) is the best option, now that I know exactly what I want and how I want it
And maybe making the base mechanics even simpler, to leave more room for actual storytelling rather than half the gameplay depending on stats & stuff
I can't tell how long that will take, as I do all this stuff in my free time (which I don't have a ton of already), but I'm not abandoning it, as I believe it could become a very cool game!"
So yeah, as I said above, I'm not abandoning it, but as it stands I don't think continuing to work on the game is the best thing to do. I feel like it'll just get more and more complicated as time goes, and I'd much rather start from scratch with a very clear objective, that I can pursue from the start.
So don't treat this as a "game cancelled" or a "hiatus", but more like a "ok the next version will be out in a liiiiiitle while longer", ok?
Hope you understand this, and thank you for reading this little announcement/update thingy. I'll see you later <3
