Question for you!
Posted 14 years agoSO-
I have been looking at my account and there are a few separate categories of stuff I do- Sketches, Finished paintings, odd crafts, and fursuiting (and soon to be fursuit making).
I was wondering if Maybe I should split my account into two accounts- one for my art and one for my suiting. I enjoy both of these things equally and to flood my Yonoa account with both art and suiting seems a bit much. Like I have been holding back posting more pictures of my fursuit because, although I like them a lot, I don't want to overwhelm people with a flood of fursuit pictures if they are more interested in the art. But maybe you don't mind!
That's why I ask you all! What do you think?

CLOSED 4000 Page View Kiriban! CLOSED
Posted 14 years ago
Sixty-Four won, and apparently he wants me to draw a clown. o.oI am only 500 page views (or so) from my 4000th page view, and I want to celebrate by giving away free art! This isn't just a free sketch or anything. The grand prize here is a watercolor painting, up to 3 characters, with a complex background (total 65 dollar value!) AND if you are in the states I will ship it to you for free! The only rules I have for the pic is no fringe fetishes (like vore, mutilation, scat, etc. If you win you can ask me more about this if you need more definition)
RULES-
1- To be considered for the contest you must post a journal linking this journal with the title "You want a free traditional commission?" , and post a link to Your journal in the comments below.
2- The VERY FIRST person to send me a note via the note system here on FA with a link to a screencap with both your name and the "Pageviews: 4000" will win. No questions asked. I will then post a journal saying who won. I will also contact the person to get their request and such.
The picture should be done in about 3 weeks (depending on how busy I am at the time of the kiriban).
GOOD LUCK =D

How Music Moves Me
Posted 14 years agoIsn't it amazing how some songs have the power to move your soul? Let me share a song with you:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFUfURNhtTc
Now, I want you to just listen to this song. Don't watch the video, but just have it playing in the background. I just heard this song at random on my Pandora station and found it incredibly moving
I work in theatre for a living, and always am amazed when a show has just the perfect music to go with the production. In fact, there are two songs in particular that I hear that just make tears come to the surface because I have connected them with a play in one way or another.
The first is "Just My Imagination" by the Temptations. A while back I got to work on the premier of Brokeology, a wonderful play about a family and their struggles with change. The song reminds me of the main character's loss of his wife, and how he and his family move forward. But it isn't that knowledge that moves me emotionally, it is a deep emotional connection I have made with the music.
But this song is nothing compared to how quickly I am brought to tears by this song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFQ2o5RUqeg
Its so simple. One cello. But at a very difficult time in my life, this song, and the play that this song was used in, helped me move forward. The play is called W;t, and it is about a woman and her struggles with cancer. At the time I worked on this production, my mom was passing after many years of battling cancer herself. I have such a strong emotional tie that even thinking about the music make me weep. But the song isn't sad to me, it is hopeful. It reminds me there is more to life than just being alive, and that we are not just measured by what we do, but who we impact. And I know this is true because my mom still impacts me today, almost 8 years after her passing.
So do you have any music that moves you? I would love to hear the song and your story behind it.

RMFC Recap!
Posted 14 years agoHOLY CRAPIOLIS! What an amazing time I had at RMFC! This is going to be a long recap, so prepare yourself!!
I left for RMFC on Thursday morning, with a big help to my friend Morgan.
amwulf and I went to the airport along with our cheaufer, Morgan, and got there in no time at all (4 air-conditioner-less hours >.< ). After sitting in the airport for a couple of hours (and paying 90 in overweight baggage charges), I flew down to Denver, where I was greeted by
kfcasey and
zephyrtobiaswolf, the later of which was in SUIT =D That was awesome for sure. Then they took me on a whirlwhind tour of the crappy town they live in, before dropping me off at the con so I could check in.
It was then that I got to meet my amazing roommates,
sodalite who brought some astounding baked goods, and shared some cool stories of his adventures,
hazyconfessions who had a smile that could light up a room, and was a true sweetheart, and
november who was both an amazing person and suiter. I can't wait to see all three of these individuals again.
After checking in, I met up with
leonicninja for a bit, and we went swimming and he introduced me to a bunch of awesome new fur friends,
alexandre,
clowdstride,
roochi, and others that I can't remember now! That was great fun, and eventually I bedded down for the night, getting an awful sleep due to excitement and nervousness about my first day as a dealer.
Day two began early, with a quick trip to Casey's home to get a checkbook, and then back again to the con. A HUGE Shout out to my awesome new friend
kibacheetah who helped me get all the tax stuff in order, and became a good friend. He does AMAZING work, so you should check out his page.
Overall, the sales were okay. Friday was good, Saturday was Great, and Sunday didn't exist. But I had fun, bought some art, did some trades, etc. The real fun was after the den closed =3
Had an awesome time hanging out with many of the furs that I have already mentioned here. Many beers were had, (or mike's hard, or rum shots), lots of hugs and cuddles went around, art was drawn, songs were danced too, lots of suiting (and SWEATING) happened, friends were made, and I honestly thought it was better than AC. I got a TON of compliments on my suit, and should be uploading pictures in the next 24 hours. Other cool furs that I met were
erro,
mysticpanther,
pawz2010,
gnowun, and SO MANY MORE!! Don't feel excluded if you are not on this list =3 BUT DO message me!! I want to keep in contact with you guys =D 3 of the best days of my life were spent in Denver this weekend, and I look forward to next year already.
SEE YOU AT MFF!

Rocky Mountain Fur Con and a gift
Posted 14 years agoI just got my first full night's sleep in much over a week and I am already thinking about all the next convention. The next one that sounds quite possible is Rocky Mountain Fur Con, and I was wondering anyone's opinions on that convention! If you have been before, tell me what it is like! If you are planning on going, let me know! And I am Very curious about being a dealer to possibly offset costs of the convention, as well as putting some art in the art show.
Tell me what you think! I need your help! Gotta make this decision by the end of this week. Thanks you awesome furs!
And for your awesomeness. FURSUITING ELEPHANTS?!?

Anthrocon!
Posted 14 years agoWhy hello! Good to seeded you again!
Im on my way back from my very first convention, Anthrocon, and I had a pretty good time!
I sure experienced a ton of great things, including meeting some of my favorite artists, attending some amazing panels, wearing my fursuit for the first time, meeting other great furs, and drawing along side other amazingly talented artists. I learned a lot of what to do at cons and what not to do, and can't wait for the next experience.
But now Im gonna break the whole thing down so I can remember it all later and purrhaps help you other new con-goers in your pursuit of an amazing experience.
#1- Go to see your favorite artists! I got to talk with Blotch (who remembered me and a friend, Ragark from their stream) and that was the highlight of my trip. I am such a fanboy! All of my favorites were super nice, and I made a few more favorites along the way. Pro tip... support your favorite artists! They deserve your love and that money helps them to.continue making more awesome in the future.
#2- Make sure to make friends! I highly recommend making them early. If you are like me and don't know many people at the con it is imperative that you meet more to get the.most fun. This I kinda learned the hard way. Though I got to hang out with a great friend
midnightdraven and her posse we didn't always get to line up our schedules and sometimes you just can't meet up so it is good to meet new furs! I really regret not doing this more.
#3- If you are going to fursuit for the first time, get a good handler! Soooooo important! You need a dependable friend who wants to have fun while making sure to help you out when you need it. Also they can take pics of your suit for your scrapbook! I didn't get too many pics and was a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing. I was a bit disappointed here but MJ pulled through a couple of times. Next time I will make sure to bring a friend who wants to do this with me.
4- Go to panels! Learn about things that interest you! Watch your favorite artists! Such an inspiring thing! I learned from some very talented people and can't wait to get back home so I can put brush to paper.
5- AVOID THE DRAMA LLAMA. Super important! He can destroy your fun! Make sure to travel with people you enjoy, befriend your roomies, avoid conflict, and step back when things get heated. I had a rough experience with individuals that put a damper on my spirits. So beware! Enjoy the experience. And if you aren't, then find new people to enjoy it with! Don't keep on trying to force fun where it is not.
So I learned a ton. And people loved the food badges. I am pondering going to RMFC (the con in Colorado if I remembered the letters correctly) as a dealer. But I will for sure go to Mff! Hoping to drag more friends like Prowler, Dd, Dakota, and any other fur that can get time off!
Well 7 more hours until we get home! And then I immediately go to work... weee.. See you next time awesome furs!

AC Thingy thing
Posted 14 years agoWhere will you be?
Hopefully a little bit of everywhere! Suiting, Dealers Den, who knows!
Where are you staying?
Westin
Do you do free art?
Probably not, unless I know you well
Do you do trades?
I would definitely consider this =3
Do you do commissions?

So here's the deal! Right now I'm opening commissions for these, at 20 dollars per foof badge if you pre-order and pick them up at Rocky Mountain Fur Con. I hope to be making them at an actual booth at the convention, for $25 per foof, so if you want one, they are a lot cheaper before the con!

Research Subject: Yonoa- Cancelled-
Posted 14 years agoSo I'm out already. My heart rate kept climbing too much. It was probably a mix of nerves and some difficult life experiences I'm going through at the moment. I still will be able to attend AC, i just don't know how much of a suit I will be able to afford now. Thanks for your thoughts and concerns. I love you guys!
Research Subject: Yonoa
Posted 14 years agoSo tonight I go in to start a research study for some new medications. I am pretty sure I will be poked with needles a hundred times, and be fed some drugs that very few people have tried before. I go in at 6:30 tonight, and regain my freedom at 8 AM on Saturday, so that is 5 whole nights in the facility. I will be bringing my laptop and phone, sketch pad and pencils, clothes and a sleeping bag. All of this to pay for my trip to AC and a few outstanding bills.
But it will be worth it!
If you see me online, say HI, because I will most certainly be craving some outside communication!
Love ya'll =3

Updated Commission Information
Posted 14 years agoAfter painting for a short time, I realized my pricing was really irrelevant to the work I am doing. I don't do sketches or inkings for the public, so I took those out of my pricing lists. New pricing information can be found here : http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5577530/ , but remember that is subject to change.
Thanks for your time- Stay shiny.

Half Priced Commissions now open!
Posted 14 years agoThis offer has been filled! Thanks everyone!
I am offering half-priced commissions for all of my work!
Please refer to http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2131095/ for information on my normal commission price, and my requirements from you to complete the art.
This deal is open to the first 5 people that respond to me in a comment to this journal, that then are able to give me adequate information about what they want drawn. You can either pm me a reference/pose material, or you can leave it in a comment, your choice.
If you see 5 people already here, and you are still interested in getting some art for yourself, please put your information down anyway, as I might be able to accommodate you anyway (its worth a shot, right?)

Half Priced Commissions!
Posted 14 years agoSo in an effort to get some more money to pay for all these art supplies and my trip to AC, I need to sell some art. I am opening up five slots for half-priced commissions!
Please visit http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2131095/ for pricing details. The only thing that isn't halved is the shipping cost, but that will be fully determined as we talk about the commission.
I'm opening this up to my watchers first! In a couple of days I will post on the main board. If you are interested, send me a note!

Posted 14 years agoSo I'm not usually the type to post with this kind of thing, but I just couldn't resist.
I am a huge fan of http://shirt.woot.com/ and today's shirt is absolutely a-freakin-dorable. Check it out!
Just have to figure out if I can afford it myself, but it sure is cute.

Commission Information
Posted 14 years agoCommission Information, Updated 4/14/2011
Illustration base prices:
Color Illustrations-
$20 for a single character with little or no background on illustration board.
Additional characters are $15 each. A complicated background is an additional $15.
Adult Themes- All of the above prices reflect fully clothed to tasteful nude characters. If you would like something mature, I charge an additional $5 per character. I won’t do extreme fetishes (gore, vore, cubby, and others).
I work in watercolor, acrylic, and inks.
Paper size starts as a 9x12 illustration board, but depending on the image, it may or may not fill the board.
All prices do not include shipping, which will be somewhere around 5-10 dollars within the US and Canada.
Prices are in USD and are subject to change.

Free arts?
Posted 15 years agoSo I need some practice, and what better way to practice than getting the help of FA folks to give me some ideas.
I am going to open up 5 slots for free commissions. There are a few rules:
The art will be clean: Tasteful nudity as in http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5160332 is as far as I will go on these pics. I'm looking to practice form, not fetish. I reserve the right to not draw the pic if it doesn't fit in my definition of clean.
I will only do a max of two characters in a pic
You determine the characters and activity that they are doing (reference pics for characters are required, and reference for the activity is recommended)
I will determine the medium and the level of completion (I reserve the right to stop at an inked pic if I so choose, but I am really looking to get a nice finished piece out of all these commissions)
I may or may not show you a sketch once before I move into coloring. This is free art, so don't get too picky ^^
You Must put a copy of the art on your page in your submissions: Think of this publicity as your way of paying it forward ^^
Finally- The first 5 people to comment that they are interested, and post a reference pic and idea for the pose that fits within the above guidelines, will get get one.
Good luck ^^
EDIT: So here are the finalists!
leotyler89
Koty
silverwolf62
tigerrush14
Lorebunny
The other three-
nascarfan96,
BlackBolt,
phunkiezero I will make sketches for at least.. and if i really like them, maybe they will become something more ^^
Thanks for all your ideas =D Can't wait to start.
